The thing with the Party Members being able to kill bosses is because since Riku is a party member himself you obviously need the code that allows party members to actually kill bosses since the only intended way to finish a boss is to deal a finisher with Sora
I’m not sure how this mod did it, but there’s a way to apply that modifier to one character instead of the entire party. Giving party members the ability to stagger bosses would be broken as seen in other videos

Real. As for KH3 critical review. It's okay. Sometimes it feels unbalanced and literally at times it feels like things aren't your fault. Not as good as KH2 critical, but better than BBS Terra critical so that's nice imo
Surprisingly enough, it is possible to entirely skip the first building cutting reaction command in the final boss section. I've seen a playthrough where someone didn't even know it was there and walked around the buildings rising up. Shout out to the NyanCave!

They were intentionally dodging them because they didn't know about the reaction command but thankfully they got to see it later when they beat the final boss again to unlock the secret ending.

The whole invisible Riku and slow mo roxas thing is because that attack is the transition part of this limit with sora, session. Enemies are slowed down during that and Riku flys around to match with sora during their sick pose

And I think the Large Bosses freak out because whatever teammod is doing to let your blows count as finishers also gives them like, weird flinch properties that large bosses Do Not Like because they're never supposed to flinch Also, did you not have access to Dark Aura and Dark Barrier? Cause Aura woulda been Magic for the Reaper fight I imagine Also I believe Data Axel is unwinnable, as Data Axel REQUIRES you do his RC chain to be killable, and well, I doubt Riku can make it past the first part of that

Oh hey, I’ve done this challenge myself. Limits are your best friend. Specially Comet and Duck Flare since they don’t involve reaction commands from you and since each attack counts as a finisher, that helps speed up bosses a fair bit

Luxord has both a health bar and the time bar. He has one health bar, but he takes so little damage (the same damage affects the time bar more effectively) that the time bar is normally what kills him. Riku probably is doing more damage than Sora would be doing normally, as I believe Luxord's fight adjusts Sora's stats so that Sora can't instantly kill him.
Have you thought about doing another one of these videos but instead with King Mickey himself? I don't know how well Kingdom Hearts final mix would react if you used King Mickey since he's only in the ending cutscene. And you can't actually take control of him, of course you do get to take control of him in Kingdom hearts 2.
Hm. It's curious that this mod not only removes RV as a thing, but even flinch count? It's such an overlooked boss mechanic since 99% of enemies will trigger revenge value before flinch count, but since this allows party members to flinch enemies (and also removes the restriction of needing a finisher/magic to end the fight), I guess they had to remove flinch count as well? I'm impressed that whoever made this had that foresight!
I'm glad that as soon as the carpet was introduced every single fight after that was some different kinda of bullshit. The Riku mirror match was incredible, the storm rider was just a beautiful performance, Hades just being hades, Sark showing off his antman-esque shrink + Tpose combo...

The latter, the Rules of the Luxord boss as I understand it effectively nullify Sora's damage and then link Luxord's HP to the Time Gauge, but Time is not HP, and non-Sora actors still just deal damage as normal

My theory for why Riku's inviso mode slows down most enemies is that it's probably the mod slowing down the tick speed manually to emulate a freeform teleport. It's probably easier to do that rather than a teleport dash or something.
I think I know what might have hit you in the Groundshaker fight. Groundshaker was offering you the "Fend" reaction command for the 2nd half of the fight and he was attacking the location that the game thought Lion Sora would be standing in a normal playthrough. So Groundshaker's reaction command likely spawned in (or maybe Teleported in) Lion Sora's hitbox and hit that, which the Riku Mod then interpreted as Damage to Riku. (I assume the mod just replaces the character model of Sora with Riku while keeping the hitbox as normal. So you were controlling the camera and character model of Riku but the Hitbox (which the game thinks in Lion Sora) was teleported into the reaction command, causing you to take damage). I'm not a tech guy... this is just my guess.
A model and animation replacement might be more stable. Making assumptions but this looks like a character substitution with maybe some needed animations to stop T-posing.
I’ve done a tiny bit of modding with Kingdom Hearts, and as weird as it sounds, the game constantly checks as if you’re playing as Sora or any of the valid form ids. If the check isn’t correct, it will crash because it expects Sora to be there *somewhere* so the necessary animations can work. Kh1 and 2 have a lot of spaghetti code

Because Riku doesn’t have the necessary animations (nor the necessary ID, assuming this is a standard player swap), the game with crash or soft lock because it’s trying to find things that doesn’t exist. It is possible to fix that, but it would take a while, even with the source code being opened up and native PC ports existing
Months late but assuming the crashing is similar to the T-stance issue from forcing Riku as playable on the PS2 version, which was a case of the game not having particular animations to play which would cause Riku to T-stance, you might me able to get him completely playable by reverse-creating Riku as a playable character. This mean substituting as much of Sora's assets with Riku's, so swapping out the model, sounds, and animations. Because technically the game is still using Sora's code it should be a lot more stable.
I think this may be the first time ever that we actually see the fail state for Pete escaping with the Cornerstone. And what does it say about how easy the fight is when the only way Pete could escape was due to hacking and programming issues?

Bypassing the flinch immunity means large bosses that lack an animation in that place get put into their T-Pose.
Its funny that Sephiroth is one of the few bosses to immediately attack against Riku, since he's a well known and long time super boss. It's like he knows the retardation that Riku can utilize with infinite stun locks against humanoids.
Just gonna add in two fights that might be possible, Demyx 1 you can get Donald Fire before then so if Donald goes in like mad it might be possible. Also for Groundshaker, its possible to get up to the top of the fight using Simba's Limit, speedruns do it. I'm not entirely sure how it works, but if Riku functions at all with it the fight may be possible. Maybe.
maybe you can retry this now that the seres is on steam. im sure somone could have it to recognize the character as sora for cutscenes or swap during triggers but idk what IS workable or could be figured out
