honestly Im not sure why the Dark world wasnt a world in kh3. Like Riku and micky have to explore it to save Aqua which would have been some awesome way to give us more/better story content.
The best part in this? Kh3 blatantly re-used the depths of darkness (dw09) in the cutscene where Mickey and Riku are talking in the dark world. It's the same area with about 80% of the collision still present, and the entire stage is in the dark except for the cutscene location. But it is absolutely the same are. They totally missed the "Play as Riku through the dark world" objective before ending up at the dark margin

Might have been to avoid re-playing through the same area. Game had a messy development, so a cutscene in the dark world was a lot less work, I suppose.
Plus honestly, the gameplay is very solid once you take the dlc modifiers into account. Going back to the previous games feels a lot more tanky or robotic
@pokere621 I technically have all locations ported and somewhat explorable. Not the cutscene stuff unfortunately as apart from the enchanted castle gates scene, they're all pre-rendered
@@SpeedyLemon358 0.2 was originally planned to be the prologue/tutorial for kh3 (hence "final chapter prologue"). but it ended up getting too long so they cut it and made it its own standalone game, and it became even longer as a result lol

@Ethonra it's not just that! Yozora_Nohara also made us a custom edited Way to Dawn that's about as long as Braveheart. So it's closer to the canon kh2 length instead of the small version we had in 3! Because such a weapon did NOT deserve this treatment.

@bunnyninjaface yep that's one of the main uses, you can load levels, summon enemies, change your player character, party members (including the unused Terra that just stands there MENACINGLY)

I called that restoration, but a "port/remake" is more accurate. I brought all of the final chapter prologue (0.2) assets in kh3, and via custom levels and asset loading, I'm trying to get all the levels explorable to a certain point, but in kh3
It's a little different than that, you actually access it via Merlin's house, there's now a mirror there that will bring your main character there. So Sora if it's Sora, but it can be Riku, Terra, Xion, Roxas, YX depending on what mod is installed

Mon mod est basé dessus. Après je pourrait concevoir remplacer les voix de Sora par celles de Riku de kh1&2 autant que possible, ce qui pourrait le faire fonctionner en vrai

I think the sad thing is that they had to take long enough as is to make Kingdom Hearts III, I think we lucked out by even getting this.

It's the command line by yurilewd, initialized by the modloader mod. I don't use mod menus in general apart from that one 😁
