Happy Sunday! One of my most requested videos is more MACRAME! Today we are making a medium-sized macrame wall hanging and dip dying it! also using all our scrap cord to make cute DOY TOYS for Kinsley! MY MACRAME MEASUREMENTS:
Finished measurement - 20" wide x 27"
Used 19 strands of cord for the 3 semi-circles each measuring 90" each
Used 60 strands of cord for the front dyed swag measuring 40"

Way back in the 70's I took a macrame class and was taught to make the strands 3x's the length you want as finished. I've always used that formula for wall hangings especially when knowing there will be a lot of knots. Just some old lady knowledge. 😀 BTW your project is looking gorgeous.

I've only listened to about 2 minutes of this and I absolutely have to stay with her because of the style she has of teaching. So imaginative and talented, girl! It's funny how alot of the knots I used in Brownies and Girl Guides ( I think in the U. S. they use the term Girl Scouts), when I was a young girl, are the same as macrame! Then when I was 20 I macramed purses, owls, plant hangers and towel holders. But I haven't done any recently... Really liked the way you dyed the tips. Looks so cool!😃🌹🌻

I do lots of dying and save my diluted dye in 1 gallon pickle jars I've collected from thrift stores. For smaller amounts I just use regular jars I've saved. It's a great way to have dye on hand to mix! My jars of diluted dye are so pretty I store them on the top of my cabinets for all to see. I have diluted dyes I've kept for 6 months and were just fine to use.

Love the dog toys made from scraps. Found your channel about two months ago and have been so inspired to DIY since then. I have been upcycling my bunnies' hideaway house with jute cord which I macramed into a rug and then "curtains" to make it a true hidey house. I'm going to try making them these toys with some of the scraps. My dog (a cocker spaniel) would just rip them apart... thank you for the inspiration!

Love, love, love that wall hanging! I’m gonna have to get me cord out and try that dip dying! I’ve been wanting to try it, but I’ve been intimidated by it for some reason! My husband tells me “no more wall hangings”, but I just can’t help it...he’s gonna have to deal with the fact that every room is our house will have a macrame wall hanging of some sort!
