Aww thanks so much!! && thank you 🤦🏼♀️ my friend just texted me and told me not to shake too .. that moment when you’ve realized you’ve been doing something wrong for so long lol
Lisa Saldana If you’d like you can follow the creator of those coasters @Annecops on Instagram! She unfortunately wasn’t credited here or asked permission for use of her photos.
Loved the pillow with the leaves. The fan that you have on your shelf, is just like the fan I had put in our apartment when we got married in 1980! What's old is new again. Stay well!!!
I have feelings that abanico or fan of urs came from our country..thank u for patronizing our products ang thank u for coming here and appreciating the beauty of our country and that's y ur my new fave now..
If you are interested, MaCenna, those little seams you are adding on the front of the first pillow are called "tucks" or "pin tucks" if they are very narrow. I use them all the time. Beautiful work you do!!!
You just made my day ~ so glad I discovered you! On day 52 in self-isolation and am inspired once again to add more creative beauty to this unique time, thank you for lifting the spirits of all of us here!
I love it!! The first pillow….I never would have thought such a simple seam inthe middle would create such a high end effect. I’ve got to learn to sew now…
I watch a ton of DIY videos but this coaster was the reason why i finally placed my amazon order for macrame. Her macrame directions are so easy to follow. She explains everything so well. Love you girl ❤
My 9 year granddaughter is Lyric. She LOVES to watch your channel! Thank you for continuing to inspire. You are very gifted. Stay real and the Lord bless you. From Texas 💚🌺🙏
Just had to pause the video real quick and call you out for being such a SWEETHEART ❤ taking time out of your schedule to respond to fans' emails...seriously?? Sooo thoughtful & dedicated!! ❤ Ok, now back to the video!
Hey :) You are a good sewer, so I challenge you to add a zipper to your next pillow case! I like to be able to wash my pillow cases, so depending on the style I will add a zipper or else make an envelope-style backing. It adds that extra touch of professionalism to your pieces and makes them last longer when you can wash them and keep the fabrics clean from body oils and dirt. I also like to add a cotton muslin liner sometimes, especially when I make pillow cases from rugs. There are some easy quilting stitches you can learn to edge your pillows too. I think you would have some fun learning these fun sewing techniques, and don't be afraid to mess up. It took me a while to perfect the zipper, but showing that trial and error for us fans is really encouraging. You are fun to watch, you and Lone Fox are the best!
Hi!!! I normally add zippers too all my pillows but it’s a bit more advanced, but if that’s something you guys would be interested in I totally can 🥰 I want to share that there is still a way to make beautiful pillows that you can throw the whole thing in the wash with out knowing how to add in a zipper 🥰
@@XOMaCenna That would be great! Try looking up the envelope method, super easy for new sewers. I like to take scarves and rugs and turn them into pillows. A cotton-printed scarf cut into 4 makes a cute set of throw pillows. I even go to the pain of making my own fringes, but the technique isn't too horrible.... just always choose those time-consuming projects lol! Where can I send you photos?
I just found your channel and I am currently in lockdown for 21 days in South Africa and luckily they still sell string as an essential! I've already hand stitched a pillow and made 3 macrame plant holders and a wall hanger!
@@XOMaCenna Yes, I remember when it was "cool" in the 70s...someone made me a gift for my apartment wall but they made it with more of a jute material, which I like better. You do such a great job of keeping it minimal!
You can also buy fabric spray paint and lay the leaves down arranged on the pillow, gently spray from above, then pick up the leaves and have the silhouettes left behind if you like a crisper edge. Just another option! But otherwise great projects! Thx for keeping us inspired during weird times!
Ahhh! Congratulations to you and Romeo on the vintage clothing business! So exciting! Speaking of exciting, this video is so exciting. I'm going to try each one. It's like you're inside my head and you know all of the things I want to do for my own home. Either that or these are things that lots of folks want to do for their home. You are a doll, thanks for the email. Thanks so much for the projects to keep us busy during this crazy time! Stay well, stay safe. Please give Kingsley a squeeze for me, I can't wait for more Kinsley in vlogs.💖
Thank you for sharing your gifts through these videos. I love your channel because I can live vicariously through all your interior designing and DIY-ing and I love your genuine and kind personality. You don’t try to be “artificially” cute or cool like some of the other UA-cam designers but you’re just being you, your naturally fun and cute personality. I also like your step by step tutorials as that’s so helpful for those who want to try for themselves. God bless and keep safe during this time.
Usually when I'm watching DIY videos there's a project or two that I don't like but all of these were really good! And so different and creative too! (also that yellow is my favorite color)
To make the leaf pattern on the pillowcase, you could paint the back side of the leaves because the veins are on that side, so it would probably look cleaner and more defined!
You are so talented Macenna! .Adding the seam and the pointed corners make the pillow look so high end! I have never done macrame and have watched tonnes of macrame videos before, but after watching your coaster, I am ordering mine off amazon immediately! Love your channel and you!
Oooo that’s a great idea!! I don’t mind how to paint brush effect looked either but totally see how to roller would be more over all consistent for the stencil 🥰
Oh Definitely, I love it! it turned out super cute and the colours are my vibe for sure! I think paint brush vs roller would also depend on what fabric you're using too! Hope yoire staying healthy in there 🇨🇦
i saw the macrame coasters on pinterest yesterday and tried to find a tutorial and none were as detailed and clear as this!!! thanks so much :) you definitely made this easier to follow!
Wowwwww everything you made was so cool! Loved the pillows and coasters! Your videos are so much fun and inspiring to watch! I need a sewing machine!! I love pillows and have an obsession for them! I’m not the only one I tell my husband that! 👍🏼 stay safe you guys! ❤️
I loved the macrame coasters! I think it was the best diy in this video! Usually these things are pretty hard to follow, but this looked easy even to ME (let me assure you I’m a noob in anything diy). ❤️
Love the pillows. Really love the gold one. Love the blanket ladder, but can't believe you are staining in a white sweatshirt! 🤣 I would have had it all over me. Love the coasters. I want to try this. Thank you!
Love the video! It's a nice escape from the news right now. A tip though, NEVER shake wood stain! You should stir it instead! Just use a paint stick, or a popsicle stick if it's a smaller can. Thanks for the inspo to stay creative during this time ❤️
My friend just texted me that too 🤦🏼♀️ i guess I never have had something handy to store with so I shake and it just stuck in my mind that’s what I was supposed to do over the years! Thank you!! For sure not shaking next time lol 🥰
Those coasters are so cute and remind me of making friendship bracelets as a kid! Totally loved the way you showed the concept , and actually feel like I could make them. Great tutorial, and definitely something I will try during this quarantine. 💕
I love this video! :) I had a couple ideas for anyone struggling with / scared of the leaf print DIY: It might help to try using a glass or something to roll the leaves down evenly! Fake plant leaves might also be a good alternative because the plastic-y fabic may be thicker. Also, if you accidentally smudge your print or don't like how a part turned out, you might try printing another leaf to layer over the part you don't like in sort of a sprig/branch/bouquet shape.
I love love love the blanket ladder and the coasters! 💛 Last night I finally made the coasters! I used 3mm macrame and I had to add a lot of additional macrame throughout to fill in gaps. I lot more than I would have thought. I felt like maybe I was doing something wrong. This was my first time ever doing anything with macrame.
Loved these DIYs, MaC! I'm a day late watching...had a health issue yesterday. This brightened up my day today so much. I can't sew worth a darn, but I'm going to try those little macrame coasters. Oooooh I would love a video to see what other people need help on and the advice you give! It would be amazing to see your problem solving process!
Yes!! This is a great idea!! Like a Q&A but more engaging than typical lifestyle questions
Stir not shake wood stain. Such a simple change and the pillows look high end. I love watching you. We need your positive personality right now.
Aww thanks so much!! && thank you 🤦🏼♀️ my friend just texted me and told me not to shake too .. that moment when you’ve realized you’ve been doing something wrong for so long lol
I like your enthusiasm! Thanks for your creative ideas!👍🏻
One time my dad tried to shake it after I had already opened the lid for him 🥵 yes it did stain the walls and stairs
Those Macramé coasters are everything!!!
So cute right!!! 🥰 and macrame is so therapeutic and calming to me 🤤

Is that macrame cord is two strand or single strand?
I think those coasters would even be super cute as placemats!
Ooo I love that idea 😍

i am so happy to see a young woman sewing!! it's a wonderful lost art!!! you go girl, love all your DIYs!!
A nice distraction. What you call a seam on the cream pillows is actually a kind of piping. Looks lovely.

I LOVE SUNDAYS!

LOOOVE that pillow fabric. You have the absolute best ideas.
And the coasters!

I love the seam down the middle of the pillow. How simple but adds so much texture! I'll be using that trick! Love your videos~

My favorite thing, the simplest thing, staining the ladder darker. Added a richness and depth.🥰
Fabulous pillows! I'm probably the only person in the world that doesn't like macrame, but I must admit that those coasters are stinkin' cute!

Those knotted coasters are beautiful!
Everything was great, but I loved the macramay coasters!!!!
The ladder looks beautiful now, that wood grain really shows through now. I love the pillows, the leaf one is such a great idea!

Yay!! I think it was subtle but added so much 🥰
Love the fold stitch on your linen pillows
That decorative seam on the pillows really elevated the look. 😻 I’m going to try that the next time I make a pillow .
