Yes!! Thank you. I love the look and can't wait to try. I am terminally ill and this really inspires me to create! Really good vibes and helping lift my spirits . Keep more diy to help decorate my space and lift my spirits.
You all prolly dont care at all but does any of you know of a way to log back into an instagram account..? I somehow forgot the login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me!
@Dustin Corey I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Love these wall hangings. It's amazing how dramatic a little yarn , a stick and some beads can be. I have a ton of interesting sticks I've collected when out with my dogs but no yarn. Will be on the hunt for sale yarn or cording. I really appreciate you showing us all you're doing. Very talented gal!
I love this. I have a huge empty wall space to the right of the split entry in my home. I’m going to use a long curtain rod and make an enormous version of your first project. I’m so excited!
Our styles are very different but you’re one of the only UA-cam designers that inspire me. You have a lot of elements I love and get me thinking of how I can make them my own. Like all those yarns besides the orange and that branch 😍 Your stuff is always nicely done, especially your thrift flips. None of them look cheap or tacky.
You are amazing and so inspiring! I just started learning macrame but I’ve been knitting for many years and I’m so excited to see what I can create with macrame. Your tips have already been so helpful. Thank you.
On the second project with the 2 round rings, I saw you made an addition at the top, above the wood that you did not provide instructions for 😳 I guess I can guess at how to do it but I’m a beginner and it was a little disappointing since I’d planned to create one today. Your projects are very beautiful and you have an amazing eye for style and originality.
Hi!!! Yes I did add some yarn to the inside of the ring at the end to kinda feel that space. I can totally walk you through it ... -Cut 4 strands of yarn each 30” in length -Gather them together and fold all 4 in half to make a loop in the middle (all 4 strands are looped together -Make a larks head knot with all 4 strands at the top of the circle around your hanging stand we did in step one. -let the strands hang down to the bottom of the circle behind the stick - separate each strand about 3/4” and attach them to the circle with a simple knot. The knots will be hidden as the bottoms of the circle is covered by the wooden stick where your main macrame will be. I hope that makes sense 🤗 if not DM me on Instagram @macennalee and I will video a quick tutorial of it for you 🤗
XO, MaCenna so glad you took the time to type that out I am going to try to do this today as my first macrame piece!! I unfortunately don’t have a small ring to hang it with do you think it would like just hung up with the yarn?
New subscriber here. You are incredible! Having the best time playing with your different macrame ideas. I'm having my first baby soon and I'm so excited to deck out the nursery with these creations for my little boho princess! Thank you for being such a delight.
I am so glad you're using different kinds of yarn I have so much because I'm a yarn a Holick I kind of like the first stage with it all hanging in colors
yeah i loved mixing in all the different sizes, textures and colors that you just don't really get from traditional macrame yarn. OMG yarn-aholic i love it!!!! 😘💕
These are the most beautiful wall hangings I’ve ever seen. I’m going to do some of these types of hangings for my new house, but first Christmas presents. They look so natural, but sophisticated/refined at the same time. Hobby Lobby & Michaels here I come. Seriously, these look exquisite!
I don't think these are really considered macrame since most of them are just strands of string or yard hanging down. But they certainly are beautiful. She has a great eye for combining colors and textures.
I lived watching your video.... I love your sunshine cheerful interesting manner.... I went today and bought my yarn and am halfway through.... I am making my bedroom over and also painted a vintage dresser that my dad made for me... I used the same colour yarn for my wall hanging....
Once the stores here opened from the Covid shut down I beelined to the thrift stores for yarns to make these. I hit the motherload at, of all places, the Habitat for Humanity re-store! I got a Uhaul wardrobe box crammed full of all kinds of gorgeous skeins of yarn. There are hardly any skeins of simple single color yarns but tons of chunky, ultra unique and even 8 skeins of angora yarn! I feel like the luckiest person alive!! Edited to add: That box of yarn was $20!
Hi MaCenna! I love decorating in the boho style and this video came up in a search and it's inspired me to try my hand at wall hangings. Thanks for making it!
Loving these, as I'm getting g frustrated trying to create triangles, and such like, I'm a beginner, so like the way use different yarns and textures and knots and braids, I'm inspired to make one. Thx for sharing
These are sooo pretty! I love your videos you’re so creative ! Definitely has inspired me to do some things around my house during this covid craziness lol!
Watched this particular video a few times. I'm going to make my 1st macrame hanging inspired by the 1st one in this video. Trying to calm my worries over my yarn colour choices!
Hey girlie! I just have to tell you, your video saved me last night! I made my first yarn wall hanging and I used your video to guide me through it. Thank you!!!!💞
I truly love these! Boho, rustic, textural, unpredictable/organic, reasonably affordable and easy. Great chance to get artsy (fun + a handmade vibe), make it unique, and easily establish or reinforce the exact room color palette desired. I'm thinking maybe a wide one above bed or couch or dining area, including some glittery metallic strands (or someone needing beaded curtain in a doorless doorway could maybe make one of these?). It reminds me of the vibe of rag rugs, which I love. Hmm...could you DIY rag rugs?!
You are absolutely amazing and the way that you explain everything is perfect!! Thus, improving my chances of making something half decent!! 😉😉👍👍 Continued success!! Looking forward to many more of your ideas, cheers!!
I’m new to your channel and just watched this video. How beautiful are your wall hangings?!?? I love macrame but these are so so gorgeous, without the complications. Thanks so much from 🇬🇧 for the amazing and inspirational tutorial 😉
Dear M. You totally inspired me! Your makrame are just so much my style! One question though. How do you treat the wood sticks before using them? I read a lot about having to boil them for hours or bleaching them for days which i totally haven’t got the time to do! Thoughts?
Thank you so much 😘💕 that is such a good question!! Honestly I didn’t treat the wood and I wouldn’t have the patience for that either 🤣 I just made sure the wood pieces were really dryed out and cleaned with a damp cloth before the project. I’m not quite sure but maybe the boiling method preserves the wood for a longer period of time. 🤷🏼♀️ definitely let me know if you found out more info about it 🤗
MaCenna, can you print out your directions for the wall tapestry hanging. size to cut yarn. how much for each color.....how long dowel or stick for each project. I am a very beginner. thank you Barb. I love everything you do. You are so talented.
I LOVEE LOVE LOVE these! Do you have any styling tips on creating a gallery style wall with macrame hangings? I'd love to hang a bunch of my pieces on a statement wall!
I think overlapping some pieces as MaCenna did in her living room would be beautiful. Different lengths and sizes but working in the same color shades.
Hi! Thank you so much! A few I did buy doubles if I knew I wanted more of that color yarn in the design. But surprisingly one spool of yarn went further than I thought! Like in the freestyle macrame I only doubled the grey-blueish one. Hope that helps 😘💕
I have a question I know you use strong to hang it on the wall but what is the actual hardware you use? Like is it hung from a nail? Or maybe it’s tacked to the wall? Or do you have a hook attached to the way??
Do you clean your wood branch that you pick ??? I'm going to try this out for the first time but my biggest concern is where to find a good branch and do I clean it lol ? 😅☺️
LOVE!!! Can you do DIY doorway hanging macrame of sorts to easily walk through? --My bf & I desperately want to remove our inconvenient bedroom door from our tiny apartment to separate the bedroom from living room/kitchen/entrance in an open yet private & accessible way. --Was originally looking for the old school bead doorways in a modernized boho chic, but nothing stood out nor was decently priced. I like your jersey knit and macrame ideas for this situation. Do you think you could show DIY for this? Would be great for all apartment & studio living ppl!!! :)
Yes!! Thank you. I love the look and can't wait to try. I am terminally ill and this really inspires me to create! Really good vibes and helping lift my spirits . Keep more diy to help decorate my space and lift my spirits.

XO, MaCenna hey!! I know you answered this 6 months ago, I don’t want to wait on the wood to “dry out” ...is yours still doing good?
Treating branches is important for bugs living underneath bark, etc.
Loved it.
I Love These!!

Do you take custom orders for these?? They are beautiful!! I’m looking to put one in my room and one in my tanning salon. Do you have an Etsy?
SUPERBE ❤
Macenna, what do you use to hang the macrame when it’s finished on the wall. 😊
