The thing I love about Power Ballads is they are so focused on powerful emotions that you can hear it through the instruments. The lyrics are simple enough that theyβre very easy to understand, and are broad enough that they can usually be applied to lots of different circumstances. All you have to do is turn on the song, close your eyes, and go on the journey. It will take you to some point in your life where it applies. Still loving you is one of the best power ballads.

I was fortunate to live through this time because the music was Fantastic. Brings back some great memories of my teenage years. You guys are a joy.
I love watching you groove out Lex! Thats all you can do with this song. It completely absorbs all your senses! Klaus Mein, the singer is amazing and I love the touch of german accent. One of my favorite male singers and one of my top singers of all kinds!
I do believe scorpions are from Germany. But anyways they were the first group I seen live. Now I've seen every group worth mentioning. But I'll never forget that first one. They were doing the wind of change tour and I was maybe 13.
This is my favorite power ballad of all time! Thanks for reviewing it! The Scorps are great. Loved their early stuff, but they also had an amazing album in 1990 or 91 called "Crazy World" which is one amazing song after the next and includes their other famous ballad, "Wind of Change".
The Scorps are the masters of the Ballad. When The Smoke Is Going Down, and Always Somewhere, are two of my faves. Their early material also will rock your socks off. Try, The Sails of Charon for an early banger.
The simplicity IS the beauty of this song. Drums laid down a solid beat, powerful yet simple baseline. Easy relatable lyrics, just let the singer and the guitarist go off!
The Scorpions have been ROCKING the world since the late 60,s and it's a big heaping pile crap that they're not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame yet. keep divivg into their catalog. you'll find some great gems in there.
These guys are vastly underrated. Klaus is a fantastic singer. The Schenker brothers ( and Matthias Jabs) have inspired so many guitarists, including Kirk Hammett of Metallica.
Okay....you two are absolutely adorable. I couldn't help but subscribe and like your vids. And the Scorps go back for me as well. A lot of these bands you are hearing for the first time hold many, many memories for me and in a time when youth hadn't evaded me. I'm glad to see that there are people out there still willing to give my gen music a chance.

Donβt Cry - Guns N Roses
Silent Lucidity - Queensryche
Heaven - Warrant
Nobodyβs Fool - Cinderella
Woew !! Is right !! Lex was smiling the whole video and was hanging on every note and Lyric. Love watching !!
Probably in my top 5 outros. The leads at the end absolutely perfect
IVE SEEN THEM LIVE A FEW TIMES. ALWAYS AMAZING!
Yeah I did many years ago myself 1 time 1 time 1 time rides but a rhythm they need to do the rhythm like I'm sure Bryant's plugged in to that rhythm what's luxury time or 2 cause I got one coming out but I think Lexi could groove to the rhythm don't you? They need to get plugged into the rhythm the rhythm the rhythm the rhythm the rhythm of love brother dam
Brad, this is what a guitar solo with feeling is. We know Lex loves the cat strangling but this is a guitar solo with feeling in this one.
This song is a whole mood. It oozes sadness and desperation on a whole other level.
Greatest love ballad ever? Well, I was going through a divorce and this song describes the hurt and desperation of how I was feeling at the time... so, for me.... yep ....thanks for the reaction... thumbs up
Try empty rooms Gary Moore
Great stuff. The Scorpions had some terrific numbers.
Probably the best Power Ballad of the 80's. Didn't have the commercial success of 'Home Sweet Home'. I love the workmanship of Brad and the 'Air Guitar' by Lex.
You can hear Klaus' amazing voice here. Scorpions is underrated. But people that know them know they are a band of all around talented bands.
I do believe scorpions are from Germany. But anyways they were the first group I seen live. Now I've seen every group worth mentioning. But I'll never forget that first one. They were doing the wind of change tour and I was maybe 13.
love watching Lex get into these songs! Love you guys!
So many awesome songs from scorpions.. Keep it going.
one of the most underrated bands ever.
One of the best song ever.
I love Lexs reaction and dancing π
Hauntingly beautiful. Voice works so well with the guitars. Great arrangement
2nd best Scorpions song.. #1 being "No One Like You"
All their song's are great, rock you like A hurricane. Still loving you the greatest ballad of all time in my opinion.
Just Lucky, I found U'r channel!! What you "REALLY NEED TO LISTEN TO IS ALL OF "LOVEDRIVE" ALBUM"!! 1ST ALBUM I BOUGHT IN THE LATE 70'S!!!
Definitely on the Mt. Rushmore of 80's power ballads.
I love your reactions, you really listen and enjoy the music & lyrics and you only stop in specifc moments.
Thank you.
πAnother great song from the Scorpions!
It was nice watching you guys feel this music. Loved your perspective on the song at the end.
"Believe in Love" is another of their power ballad hits. Lex, I think you would like the prominent electric guitar power chords.
Love watching both of ya'll ! Just grooving to the music. Your reactions are great!
Love Klaus' voice....one of the best recognizable greatest voices π. Y'all need to check out their song "Send Me An Angel" next ποΈ
THANK YOU FOR PLAYING THE ORIGINAL VERSION OF THIS GREAT SONG. π 1984 WAS A GREAT YEAR FOR ROCK / HEAVY METAL !!!!!
Brad has the most underrated off beat pausing timing β¦ right before the note changes π awesome β¦
They Completely Rocked in concert. πβοΈ
Two of the best guitar players you'll hear in genre, along with some sublime vocals.
Check out:
No one like you.
Loving you Sunday morning.
Arizona.
Love drive.
I'm leaving you.
I haven't heard this song in Years and God it brings back some good ol' memories, some heartache, some sadness and a whole lot of other feelings.. Scorpions for ya.., goddamn
If you want power ballads, not many bands do it better than Scorpions.
Went to one their all time great live performances at the Pacific Amphitheater in Costa Mesa CA in 1984. This song was one of the many highlights, arguably the best power ballad ever.
