This looks to be a rewarding video. going to Denver to visit Mother-in-law, wo has a locked jen wel patio sliding door, that is locked in place, first have to figure out how to open it and then this video I am sure is the final fix. Thank you.

Good video. Where's the link to the thumbscrew on Amazon? Why was the lock latching mechanism replaced to begin with? I assume because you bought a different style thumbscrew (45 degrees vs horizontal) and now things aren't compatible. Had you bought the right thumbscrew, is that all you really needed to replace?
When I turn my thumbscrew to lock the door, the locking mechanism barely moves and doesn't protude from the door, and therefore has no chance of locking. I'm thinking that all I need is a thumbscrew replacement as my stick is likely broken like yours. Thoughts?
If only the flat that went through the lock was broken why did you have to replace the lock assembly?

Can you tell me where you ordered just the turn key that locks and unlocks. Mine fell out of my door handle. Or can you recommend a door handle to replace? I have the exact same door handle that you have.

Unscrew Cover then use screwdriver to turn lock.
What if lock won't turn? Is there a way to get it unlocked from a closed door?

Hi I replaced the lock on my sliding door
It unlocks from outside but when I lock it from the key it unlocks when I take the key out
What am I doing rong???
Mine is not keyed. Have you tried to lock it while open to see what is happening?
