Damn, another Apex trigger. I’m going to be broke buying all these firearm parts. Nobody told me how expensive this hobby was going to be. We’ll golf is nearly as expensive but shooting a pistol is more satisfying.
Lol slow the roll brother. we all have to budget .
Better to be addicted to guns than drugs!
It will be out in about 2-3 months as of this posting they had a material delay.

Did this trigger drop yet? It’s about to be September lol
Just got off phone with APEX 9/23/22 @ 2:01pm AND WAS TOLD THIS IS ONLY A PROTOTYPE AND AS FAR AS THEY KNEW WAS NOT GOING TO BE RELEASED DUE TO LOGISTICAL PROBLEMS!!! So u may wanna change some things or check back with APEX since I’m guessing u can reach higher ups… WOULDA BEEN NICE! I mean the Glock shoe looks fatter than all the other they make, at least to me.
@@mickyashey9818 I was really hoping this would be out by now. Would rather have this new design vs the old one.
Now 6 months i am looking for a good trigger (glock 19 gen 5). Finally will go with the Apex. Great video !
Right on.. They should be out in 8 ish weeks or so.. They had some material delays.
Did a S&W M&P 2.0 9 mil and did the Apex. Love it
Want to add one other thing. I do love the Lone Wolf product. Didn’t have a single issue with it after a box of 500 upon getting it to the range. Took all my other 9mm 17 & 19x mags which was awesome. Very happy with it thank you again for that review.
Glad it ran right ..
I don’t think they ever ended up releasing this. All of the apex triggers I see on the shelf and on their website are still the old shoe.
Not sure what they did with it.
Apex and Overwatch Precision probably the best bang for your buck triggers out there
That they are.
If I can ask after using these triggers for a bit, are they more reliable than the stock Glock trigger?
Or should I just stick with the stock trigger and just get good?
Reliability is the same they just have improved performance
welp just ordered myself a polymer one . literally going thru all your glock related videos LOL
That is one of the best value full kits you can get.
I put the trigger kit on my gen 3 g19 and love. I had it in for 2 months with about 400 rounds thru it.
Apex makes a great product.
Internal struggle going on tonight. Sportmans guide has Glock 22 gen 4s used under $400. I already have a CZP10C, and a .40 shield. I feel like another 9mm micro or sub makes the most sense. But a Glock that cheap is enticing. Itd be the 22 or likely a cheaper carry(incase i have to use it then never get it back) maybe new ruger or gx4. What would you do if you only had enough for 1?
Well you need to get what best fits your needs right now based on how you carry most of the time. Once that is fulfilled then look into extras.
@@TacticalConsiderations Thanks man. I usually carry the shield because i don't want to ever have my CZ confiscated. But i want more capacity in a 9mm i decided. Keep my .40 for hardcast rounds while hiking. Been considering the gx4 since it works and its cheap
Love the apex trigger I have on my CZ P10f, new trigger looks amazing, unfortunately I did triggger job on my g19, “ Ranger proof “ brand, got it before I started doing any research, it’s ok, but Apex just hits the spot
Thanks for the great content , keep it coming
Thanks for sharing.. That P10 series is sweeeeeeeeet.
How does it compare to the Overwatch Precision trigger? I have the Falx in my 43X and PolyDAT in my Gen5 19. Thinking about upgrading to a non-polymer trigger. Should I stick with the Overwatch or give this a try? Only concern is the non-factory trigger bar.
I have an Apex in my FN509 duty gun and an overwatch trigger and overwatch aftermarket connector in my CCW glock 45 and the overwatch is way better in my opinion. However, the 509 has stock trigger weight with just an Apex kit installed by a gunsmith because of rules at work so it's not really a completely fair comparison I guess.
Overwatch will be a bit more aggressive and still be duty carry safe.. Apex is going to great lengths to ensure the trigger bar is perfect they've burned through hundreds of samples over the past year .
Mike, still not as good as the Sig P365 XL Comp or do you think it is close? Great content on this on. Thanks
Ooof not as good at all
I do like Apex, but I’m in love with the Timney alpha competition trigger on G19 gen 4! That’s my favorite by far.
Not for edc
Those Timney's are sick.
@@TacticalConsiderations Next review the Johhny Glock Timney combat (just has a heavier pull weight, more for edc)
@@joezaldivar1967 you could buy an apex trigger kit and a swampfox red dot for the same price as any of Johnny boys triggers! Not really comparable when they are literally 2x the price!
@@CC-fn4rjwhy not ? Walther , HK, Canik, S&W and many others use a precocked striker .All the timney does it make the trigger function like those guns triggers .
Bro, always appreciate your videos. Been following you only like 2 months now but you've become my favorite channel, really good format, clear, concise, intelligent opinions, thank you very much. Was wondering what is your EDC, if you don't mind sharing.
I appreciate that. EDC has changed up a bit most recently. I carried my 43X mos all last summer with shield arms mags. I have been carrying the new Hellcat pro since its basically small than a 19 but give me the same capacity and grip size. I do however think I will be getting a PDP compact soon
@@TacticalConsiderations That Walther is a nice piece for sure. Had one at the armory I worked at
In your opinion is this good enough for ccw? As in trust this with your life Or just stick with the stock trigger? Thank u in advance
The Apex triggers are some of the most proven out there which are authorized by multiple agencies for carry.
I put the polymer flatty on my M&P 2.0 Compact and it made a world of difference. With the 10° striker the pull weight is around 1lb lighter than whats listed for each configuration on Apex's chart. Originally used purple sear spring and factory trigger spring (5lb pull). The pull was light but the reset was lazy and mushy. I replaced the factory trigger spring with the unpainted Apex spring it made for a more defined wall and a more audible and tactile reset. Chart says 6.1lbs but pulls at 5lbs due to 10° striker. A definite recommend. 👍
Yup.
Polishing the internals and replacing 2 springs will make a world of difference in a factory Glock trigger.
And a guy can save $100.
That flatty MP is sick.
@@TacticalConsiderations by far the best upgrade for the M&P.
What's the name or model for this trigger? It's gotta have a specific name or something so I know which trigger is the right one I'm trying to look up
It's their updated shoe design I don't think they have them up on the site right now, inventory issue
Looove Apex triggers. I wish they were standard on my favorite handgun brands. Thanks for the input! You shall grow bigger and bigger!!! 💪🏼😎🇺🇲
Much appreciated buddy. Apex has done a nice job on these.
Solid review as always, I wish they would have improved the look/design a little bit more. It's better but it leaves something to be desired compared to the other aftermarket options.
Fair enough! They were trying for looks but not total Gucci.
Like bedazzled?
@@TacticalConsiderations5lbs is too heavy. I actually like the stock trigger better.
Thanks I got a glock 17 gen5 don't know if I would put it on there. But my 43X is a possibility.
Should be coming soon for full size and slimframe stuff will follow.
will the apex trigger take away the sting from the factory glock trigger?
If you mean where the factory trigger safety digs into your finger yes.
I’m a huge fan of the Timney alpha trigger for the gen 3/4 glock. Super crisp 4lb pull and keeps all the stock slide parts
I did a polish job on my factory Glock triggers and added a 6 pound striker spring. It breaks clean at 3.5 and is crisp.
Being overly light isn't alwsys a good thing.
@@thefrogking481 I feel like anything lighter than 4 pounds isn’t really safe for EDC. I also don’t really want a 10lb double action trigger that is potentially getting yanked to the left when under distress.
That timney trigger is grazy.
Do you prefer the Timney over the Apex ? And would you recommend it for carry ?
@@harisbabic333 I’ve never shot an apex trigger, but the Timney is real nice and would definitely carry it
I gone with the Timney Alpha Comp. triggers with my Glocks. I got a Apex in my S&W 2.0 9mm that has given me a lot of problems. No reset at all and now no trigger return. It didn't come with the chart for the springs so I went with the lightest and it fails. I got the new Timney for it but haven't gotten it in yet.
Timney for glock is like nothing else.
Is the Apex trigger a easy install for a Gen 5 or should I have a gunsmith do the install? Thanks
Its super easy they have videos up.
Interesting, that reset looked kind of long. We’re you using the full kit with connector?
this is factory connector.
I was thinking the same thing
Hey brutha... you know we are PDP soul bros. I haven't been a huge fan of Glock! But I ended up buying the new Glock 20.
The gen 5 ergos go so well with the large frame. I think the 20/21 are the best Glocks I've ever handled. I put the short beavertail which eliminated 85% of the sky high natural point of aim. Which makes it easy to autocorrect point of aim without ruining my training on the PDP, & p320! I'd love to see you review them if possible?
Nolarge channel is touching them except Yankee Marshall. Being I think you're the most objective. I'd like to see you check them out.
Its been a while since I have used my bigger glocks.
Deff worth the wait. Can't wait to get this for my gen 4 glock 17. And as always awesome review. Also what kind of magwell do you have on your glock?
That is the Zev Pro magwell and thank you for watching.
I feel like as soon as I add $125 to my gen 5 Glock, I start thinking about why I didn’t just go shadow systems from the start lol
Smart way of thinking!
I own the DR920 Elite and the MR920 ELITE and I've never looked back.
Shadow Syatems has the best optic mounting system on the market!
yeah I have been there.
I also have the SS DR920 Elite and I love it …
I still spent $150 and put a Timney in my Shadow Systems . The SS trigger is basically just a stock glock with a nicer shoe . Timney is nice af not Canik good but pretty damn close
When you pointed out your target I got in shock, you pointed your truck!
Jajaja
Lol well it was past he berm I was trying to hold the camera look behind me and point at the same time not enough hands lol.
@@TacticalConsiderations 😂🤗🤙
I love Apex triggers. I've got them in 2 of my glocks. Looks like I'll be picking up a new one.
They are solid.
I have two OG versions on the G20’s I got for my kids. I purchased them new and the Glock Triggers were FUBARED. So, I purchased two Apex Triggers. I think the 10mm makes a good woods pistol.
Stock Glock triggers are pretty bad.
Apex confirmed sometime before Christmas we can expect a new trigger for Glock!! Can you make an updated video?
I will refresh some stuff once it launches.
@@TacticalConsiderations great stuff man. Not sure if you have a timney trigger housing laying around but is it possible to fit it inside a slimline with modifications on the slimline trigger housing? Just an idea
The thing I love the most about apex, it feels the right weight without messing with the striker spring (but with the 3.5lb connector). I have lighter glock triggers but the apex feels the best.
Lighter isn't alwsys better.
I don't like messing with the striker springs that can cause lots of light strikes .. Seems it works great sometimes and not to much others.
Where can I buy this I can’t find it anywhere
They dint have them in stock right now.
Any word on a release date yet? 5 month old video and they're still not on their site yet...
Trigger shoes are in the factory they had a huge delay in trigger bars. I will likely post up something for everyone so they know when the availability hits. It sucks man I know
@@TacticalConsiderations I was in the market for a gen 5 trigger and was hoping. Thanks for the video and update.
I’ll keep this in mind; love the Apex in my M&P. But going to try out the Factr on a Gen 5 17. Liked your review on that one.
Factr is a great choice. Little more aggressive and still safe.
Dig your vidz🤙always informative and helpful. Need one of those lids your sportn.spades are my thing too.where can I get one? Thanks and keep up the great content.
Glad you like them! new hat design is right here bit.ly/3aFdCN6
Where did you find this trigger? I don’t see this newer style apex anywhere, including their website.
Its been on hold for a bit due to trigger bar shortages.
Bummer. I just thought with the video being a year ago that it wouldn’t be the case. Thank you.
I have the original in my 17.3 honestly I prefer the smoother profile vs that question mark looking grooves, I also have a Lantac 3.5 connector which goes great with the Apex, this set up was recommended to me, and so far It’s been great! It did lighten up the trigger pull to about 4-4.5 pounds is my guesstimate 😎👍
Some dig it some don't but hey its another option.
Whats upnwith ? Mark designe and pull wight heavy compared to gen 5 bar and apex og shoe .
Every trigger will pull different in just about every frame.
Better than Johnny glocks triggers?
No, not much beats johnny glocks , but these are duty trigger not competition.
Would you pick this trigger over the overwatch?
Depends on what you want. Overwatch is a bit more aggressive on take up and reset.
@@TacticalConsiderations I ended up going with the apex. Was gonna do Timney but way to light for my liking as a carry trigger. Heard johny glocks has a fix for that might be your next video? Lol
If ever a gun needed a new trigger it’s a Glock. 😂
Truth.
What do you think is the best duty after market trigger for glocks? I’m actually thinking about changing my shadow systems mr920 trigger. But I don’t know shit about Glocks. But going from my m&p apex flatty to my new shadow systems trigger? Leaves a lot to be desired. I’d like something like my m&p apex around 4 pounds. But I don’t know if the Glock apex trigger is very similar?
Apex and Overwatch at two that I know for sure are approved by several Agencies.
@@TacticalConsiderations Any feedback
On Johnny Glock combat triggers working in the MR920?
Finally was able to find an Apex trigger for my G19X on Optics Planet. They are out of stock everywhere!
Glad you found one .. Stock has been low and they sell out very quickly.
Will you be putting one in your Shadow Systems?
Nah got no reason to change from the factory trigger in the shadow especially after a polish and break in.
Are the ones without the bar pretty much the same? I can't find the full kit anywhere. Was thinking of just getting the trigger. Any advice would be appreciated
yes they are exactly the same there is just a shortage of bars at this time, which is holding back a lot of kits right now.
You can get the trigger shoe by itself and put it on your oem bar, it's super easy!
@@ericmiles8008 I hear it kinda a pain in the ass AND from what I've seen I have to break the stock Glock trigger. Can you point me to a UA-cam vid that will guide me?
@@880videoman check out Johnny Glocks videos on UA-cam. He shows you how to remove a shoe without damage and ton of other great info to make your Glock run awesome!
Hey man! I got a G43x with an Apex Trigger + Apex connector installed my wall has a rolling break how could I sharpen that up for a more crisp break?
The 43 and slim stuff is a real bear to get clean. Mine both turned out ok but they are just never gonna be great.. You can try to polish out the other pats to clean it up but that is about all besides using another connector
Well done video as always. I honestly have never replaced a stock trigger with an aftermarket. However, after watching your video on the alone Wolf LTD19 I’ve decided that maybe it would be worthwhile since I did purchase the firearm and proceeded to run several hundred rounds through it the day after. Since it’s my first Gucci Glock I figure in for a penny in for a pound. Thank you for the review on Apex and I think these given reputation and keeping the trigger safety measures intact that I will try one of these.
Apex is one of the most proven if not the most proven in the pistol trigger game.
Definitely in the market for a trigger. Thanks for your review
They have some good options .. These are not in stock right now but should be in the next 90 days.
Reshopping on triggers. Had a bunch of problems with my overwatchs :/
What problems did you have.
@@TacticalConsiderations the poly dat were causing pin walking issues on my gen 3s. In two different sets of Glocks.
Tried new pins just to be sure.
Got some info in forums and reached out. They said they will refund me which I do appreciate
Is this ever coming out?
It was supposed to be out already. I am not sure last updated I had was last month.
Great content man, thank you!
My pleasure!
Has Apex not released this kit to the public yet? I can't find it on their website.
Apparently not I thought it was supposed to be out months ago. I'm gonna call over there and see if there is a new release date.
@@TacticalConsiderations sounds good!
I LOVE my Apex Triggers on my Glocks. They had a recall on the Slimline one though, so I have to send it back on the Glock 48. That's an AMAZING NEW MODEL!!! I'm going to have to get one!!!😃
Sorry to hear that but they take care of the customer they have some new ones coming this month I think .
Whatever happened to this trigger shoe design?
What brand is the gray magazine extension? Is it metal?
That is all metal its from FACTR USA I haven't reviewed them yet but they have magwells and trigger you can see my info on them here tacticalconsiderations.com/factr-glock-magwell/
@@TacticalConsiderations right on!
Will they have a full run like for slim line glocks too (43,43x)?
I am not sure as far as the slim bars they would have to design a totally new one for that as well.
Rocking this for a bit now but mannn I can’t get over this pre travel and connector. Anybody able to reduce pre travel on the g48 apex trigger
Pre travel is reduced mainly by trigger shoe geometry. Weight more so is controlled by the connector.
The Glock store currently (well, about a week ago) has some Glock parts. I got a few extended mag release and slide releases.
Hopefully they are gonna open back up.
Have you tried Tactical triggers LLC? Sorry if you've already done a video on it. New to your channel
I have not.
I have another question, you reviewed the Over Watch trigger a bit ago what's your thoughts? I can't find a trigger to work in my GLOCK 22 GEN4
Overwatch is a great trigger one of my favs.
@@TacticalConsiderations thank you
got the OG apex in my p80
Its solid all around.
Hmmm… do they have a trigger that’s compatible with a IWI Masada?
I don't think they make a masada trigger yet.
Can you do a review on the S&W 10mm. I like mine, but I am always curious about your take on things.
I am trying to get them in waiting to hear back from smith.
I looked at the Apex website for my Gen 5 Glock 23 but I cannot find any triggers for it! What do you recommend I need advice please
Trigger bars are on wait for gen 5 until the 3/4 are loaded up in stock. The trigger shoe's are available now but you need to put it on your factory bar.
@@TacticalConsiderations ok thank you, do you recommend any other trigger brands for my Glock 23 Gen 5 or do you think this one is the best for it?
This is the third review I've watched by this guy and I'm asking myself a question; why is it that we watch a gaggle of rounds being racked off, but no video of shots hitting the target? It would be much more impressive seeing results of holes in paper / cardboard. Just sayin'
Go watch my videos of me shooting from 100 yards with a pistol that has no sites or videos of me running a Baer Standard drill sub 6 seconds clean. That explains everything you are asking. And rounds don't get racked off Just Sayin
I installed one today, in my G17 Gen4. Followed step by step instructions. It fired a few times just fine. Now the trigger won’t reset at all. I drop the mag, insert a new mag rack the slide and still nothing. Any tips for me?
I also installed the Apex plunger as well.
My first guess would be to look at the trigger return spring If its caught on the house that can happen.
Awesome I’ll check that out and go from there! Thanks for the quick response! I appreciate it!
@@TacticalConsiderations A saint you are sir. The return spring was ever so slightly bound up. Popped it off remounted it. Functions perfectly. Thank you again!
Awesome
Hey TC, any updates on the release of this? Apex hasn’t posted anything on it and I’m waiting patiently!
They were supposed to be up but the trigger bars came in out of spec. I am not sure of the timeline now.
I need one for my 43x...and sights and an extended mag release and slide release, then I'm good...till then I got the pdp to fall back on 🤫
Bout the same as what I do to all of mine
For anyone that has experience with both, how does the Apex compare to the Johnny Glocks combat trigger?
The JG will be far more aggressive and light.
Super off topic from the vid but what company do you prefer for combat tops and pants in multicam?
Oh man that's a lot to unpack Honestly I cannot afford to outfit myself in Crye or any other big brand since its not issued to me. most of the time I buy truspec stuff and its lasts plenty long and when I destroy them I am not out 600 for a set. I have also tried some of those cheap knock off from amazon like Idogear or something actually not bad for the money .511 stuff always fits me like shit, they seem to make it for the tactically anorexic these days.
@@TacticalConsiderations I appreciate the response brother I havent been put long and still wear my issues stuff or stuff i bought from clothing and sales my self so just seeing what are good options out there thats not 300$ like crye or something just to get my toes wet
Anything for the slim line (43x)? Changed out the connector to a ghost 3.5 but would really be nice to switch out the shoe.
apex has a slim line trigger out not the new design yet though.
@Tactical Considerations awesome!! hopefully they have one on deck at the Az game and fish outdoor expo on the 3rd. Thank you sir 🙏
Which behaves better on 43x, Apex or OP?
Awesome video, what watch is that?
Luminox
@@TacticalConsiderations Thanks!
What's the update on this trigger brotha...
They are still completing the final batch of trigger bars and then build the kits for sale. I will put up notice as soon as they are available.
I can’t get my apex to work in my Glock p80. Any suggestions
The p80 frames are all over the place in tolerances these days from what I have been hearing. Unfortunately without more info I cannot diagnose.
Hope it will have pre-travel adjustment screw
Probably not
Do you know if they will still offer the freedom edition trigger with the new kit?
Those will be limited runs no known time frame.
@@TacticalConsiderations thanks, I'll be sure to grab one as soon as they are released. Been waiting to get one for my Glock 45
New Apex or Overwatch Precision (EDC).?
Tough Call the Overwatch will be a bit more aggressive than Apex so if you want it a bit shorter that's the route.
not on their website ?
Not sure what they are doing with them right now.
Apex or Timney trigger?
Timney is not a carry trigger its competition only.
Do they make this for the Shield 1.0?
Not this version but they have a version for the Shields.
Definitely will look at this in the near future.
I think this one is gonna sell very well once out.
Did Timney have to stop production of their trigger? I haven’t heard much about those in awhile and they seemed to have impressed everyone.
No infact they just dropped an MP version for smith.
@@TacticalConsiderations Are you serious?!! Anywhere I can go that you’ll get a kick back at to get one?
Nice but idk if i like the new look better or not but I'm sure i will get one when i get another firearm here pretty soon lol! Thanks man!
Its a big change.
Awesome! Anything for Shadow Systems ?
SS - order for a Gen4 G19.
@@mikequan11 cool thanks
Same as glock generation.
Glad they are working on improvements. It is interesting to see how the new bar helps. As far as the new design, I am just not digging it. I am getting new Coke vibes.
Lol coke 2 oh man.
is there anything significantly different about the trigger bar?
Just that its made by Apex.. Its really similar in appearance to the factory bar by design. As for the exact geometry changes I don't get that info since its a trade secret.
@@TacticalConsiderations Do you have any idea if the trigger shoe face is the same width as the current design?
Any experience with the Timney triggers?
Absolutely I have some videos up on them really good triggers but competition only
@@TacticalConsiderations bummer. I was going to ask if you prefer Overwatch or Timney for non competition use.
I just bought the tango down flat face trigger shoe. I guess in a few weeks il change it lol
How is it working.
@@TacticalConsiderations much better than the stock trigger. My edc is the shield plus so changing my glock 19x trigger to a flat one is been awesome.
Hope they will pus pre-travel adjustment screw on their tigger.
I don't know if they will do that due to this design being a more carry designed trigger over adjustable competition style.
I gave up on Glocks after I got spoiled by my Walther PDPs, and S&W (Yes, I hate to admit that) Shield Plus / 2.0 10mm. Glock just doesn't cut it for me anymore. I don't have to mod my Walther or S&W's and can use the money I used to waste on Glocks and use it for training and ammo.
The PDP grabbed me by the balls after I fired it and still has a hold of them.
@@TacticalConsiderationsLOL!
These good to go on gen 3s still?
Yes when these get released they will be for gen 3 and 4 initially.
Does it come in all black?
It will.
Any news on this trigger? Its November.
They just got a shipment of bars back in after rejecting a whole lot for issues so hopefully soon.

Still no release updates?
Not yet. They had a trigger bar recall that put things way back.
