Glock 43X Gen 5
Glock 19 Gen 5 - Авто та транспорт
I got the 43x not to long ago. Fell in love with it on day 1. Extremely reliable. I don’t dare use PSA or Shield 15 round mags. Glock is all stock and OEM mags. The more reliable the better if that day ever comes.
Very cool. I do notnuse aftermarket mags either
I also carry the 43X MOS and have never had any issues with any Shield Arms mags…after 1000 rounds through my gun I now trust them but I mainly carry my X Macro Legion b/c I have 17 rounds of OEM mags
About 500 rounds through my 15rd psa mag with not one single issue. Game changer for sure
I used to carry a g19. I'm a slim guy and I now carry a g48 because it's more comfortable for me personally. Your points are very valid. To me the grip doesn't really matter because people don't pay attention to anything. Their to busy looking at their phone. And I live in Georgia .
Lol. That is all people look at is their phone these days. Thanks for watching
I was reading the paper getting oil change and outta 10 people I was only one not on the AI phone.
@@douglasphillips24 lol
The 19 is only thicker but it's also more than a half pound heavier
@@ewxlt the 26 is about the same and has a shorter grip.
I have both but I like the 43x for carrying. I also like the 26.
I have videos comparing it to the 26 amd the 30s
Thank you for your assessment and comparison. I am 68 looking to down-size from 45 ACP steel service in addition to an old Commander. My muskels have gotten weaker hence, my grip on the guns 💪🏻had too. I despise packing/dressing ANYMORE for guns. Plumb wore out. The 19 seems to be the ween’er for this old coot 😅 Cheers!
Very good reason. Thanks for watching
Can’t imagine making a 15 minute video about conceal carry without ever showing what it looks like
So you wanted to see it inside my pants?
@@TerryBenton😁
Just imagine
Is it a Glock or a cock? 😂
@@TerryBentonyes
I agree, the strongest trait and the the reason i prefer the 9mm is for its firepower. If I will choose between an FN TAC .45 and Beretta 92xi that both has 18 rounds. I will pick the 45 ACP.
Correct. Nobody takes into account that it requires extra firepower when using a 9mm. If those same folks were given a choice between a 10 rd 9mm pistol and a 15 round 22lr. Pistol everyone of them would choose a 9mm. It isnsimple science. Thanks for your comment. I have the FN 545 tactical. Striker fired version on your FNX. It holds 18 rds. It is bad to the bone.
One important difference that you didn’t address is grip circumference and trigger reach which is why some are willing to give up the 5 extra rounds and choose the 43X over the 19. It has nothing to do with capacity or grip length or overall thickness. The grip circumference does make a substantial difference to those with smaller hands and the ability to get a proper grip on the draw and finger placement on the trigger which is essential to recoil control and accuracy. Just food for thought. Nice comparison, hope this helps understand why some choose the 43X.
I never thought of that. Thanks
I have both and choose to carry the 43X because it is easier and more comfortable to carry. I'm not as concerned with capacity as I am with comfort and weight; every ounce matters and every quarter inch of balk matters. It will probably never be needed and if it is in all probability only a few shots will be required. When I carried the G19 I would tend to leave it home, but the 43x is a good compromise that I will actually carry and I shoot it well. Sometimes I even grab and go with my G42; an extra mag is easier to carry also. All of life is a compromise.
You are right about compromise
Nicely done Terry, despite popular belief. I like both and as far as I am concerned, they both carry well.
Very cool. Carry what you are lost comfortable with
@@TerryBenton In that case, it would be my 30s.
43x is popular because of the aftermarket 15 round mags. It evens up the capacity.
Lol
Psa makes a good one too. You don't even have to change out the polymer mag release either. Psa made it compatible
You can buy an aftermarket 15 rd mag for the 43x I have a few and the work good .
I understand. They are "aftermarket " the G19 already holds 15 rds
Welp, moving over from Springfield subcompact were my flush mag holds 13 plus 1 and the standard is 16 plus 1 but not the hellcat, trying to decide what to now carry. Im looking to also get a carbine 16in barrel so im thinking the 19 would be better for what im looking for. On top of i only run night sights so im interested in a red dot. So what i got from this video is they are the same gun, one stock has more rounds, however both can take aftermarket parts, which i thought was a big thing with glock but actually finding out the glock crowd is actually split. Some will rin aftermarket but others see no point. Overall im glad to be getting into Glocks. I've a couple Springfields and the p365 so im excited to pop my glock cherry
Cool man. Congratulations. I hope you like them
You safety checked both of those 9mm before the comparison and for that I thank you !😅. But if that had been a .45 I would have got nervous, probably have to watch from a distance behind a safe wall. Ha! Just kidding.
You’re are right , if I would ad the pinky extension to my G26 I might as well carry my G19.
I like 43X, but noticed I have rarely carried it. G19 all day Thanks.
It just does not make a lot of sense. It is a good gun, but I ha e yet to figure out its place in this world. Lol. Thanks for watching
I have a g19 and I am looking for a better carry gun right now. I love shooting the 19 and shoot well with it, but I just don't like carrying it. I'm not sold on the 43x, I am looking at the 26 which I have shot and like just not sure if the thickness which is the same as the 19 will bother me and the gun is still around 500 dollars even for a previous generation. Not sure what to go with. I am not getting rid of the 19 though.
Try the G30s. I have a video comparing the G19 to the G30s
Try a P365 X Macro…Glock 19 size and capacity but much thinner and still a very controllable platform
If it’s OWB I would go with the bigger gun for EDC. It’s more comfortable to carry OWB. If Its IWB carry I would choose the thinner lighter gun. Good video.
Thank you for watching
Have both guns and I love them both. However, I choose my 43x everyday over it.
Thanks for watching
43x with my 15 rd psa mags all day for carry. My g19 is my bed side fun with a 33 rd mag sticking out the bottom of it 💯
Ok cool
Have both a early 43X with silver slide and Gen 4 19 but the new Glock 49 is very appealing in that it's a 19 with 17 slide . However my favorite 9mm is the Glock 26 Gen 5 MOS when my G30 is taking it easy.😂
I habe not seen the 49 in person yet
@@TerryBentonthe 49 just landed back at shot show so probably just hitting the stores.
@douglasphillips24 I will.be looking for them. I have the opposite. I have a 19x
I’ve had zero issues with my S2 Shield Arms mags gen 2 and 3.
@@wretchedpoet29 gotcha
I have the 43X but I want the 19 or 49. The wider ones shoot so much better and hold more. I don’t really understand the modern craze for short barrels.
The 19 is the way to go. I am with you. Thanks for watching
I’m pretty sure people are going crazy over the 43x because you can buy flush fit 15 round mags or you could at one time I’m not sure the mags are made anymore
Aftermarket mags are never a good idea with ANY gun.
Mec-Gar is oem for most and it’s what I usually buy. I think shield arms was the one making 15 rounders for the 43x but don’t know much about shield arms
@dmw3086 gotcha. Thanks for the info
The Dagger micro 15rd mags fit the 43x as well. Both the shield and Dagger mags seem to be very reliable options according to what I've been seeing. I don't understand why glock just doesn't make a 15rd mag. Obviously the 43x will accommodate it. And, they'd make a killing on them as much as they charge for mags.
@@pep729think about it if glock made a 15 rd what would be the point in the 19 now? 43x is the better pistol
Well the 43x make sense in nyc because you can only have 10 rounds in a magazine and they pin the 19 so you can’t go over 10
That is unconstitutional. I am glad you can at least have a pistol. Thanks for watching
I agree
Thank you for watching
I think the marketing gimmick is that it's more concealable.
In reality, i would choose shootability over concealability .... i know a handful of people who carry 34s. And it make sense. Its their comp gun, they shoot it well. They dont care if it prints. 99% of people can't even tell if you print. Only the ones that carry can call out a print. Just say it is your diabetic monitor, urostomy bag, colostomy bag, ileostomy bag, insulin pump, pain pump, etc......
I completely agree. ThankS for watching
I hate cleaning these things too! No fun anymore. 😅
Lol
I live in NY it's not Legal to carry more than 10 rounds
That really sucks
more round is good
Correct.
Glock 19 is a lot heavier no comparison and I have both
Ok
I don't get the micro 9 craze. I think it is just a marketing gimmick. If I need something smaller than a G19 I will just pack my LCR.
I do not get it either. I'll stick with my G30s
@@TerryBenton Have you shot the G30 Gen 5? Tempted burn a blue label for one.
43x got S -15 magazines. So it's a even ball game now.
I do not ever trust aftermarket magazines.
You do not have to modify the g19
@@TerryBenton they work just fine 🎯
@@TerryBenton it's no modifications needed. It fits flush, just like the original magazine. 15 rounds just like the glock 19.
I'd never give up 10 rounds that just stupid
I completely agree
Get a PSA dagger mag for the 43x... done
Get a G19 and also done. No need for aftermarket parts
Idk why ppl are so hung up on everything having to be oem parts. Yeah when it comes to internal parts I don't mess with but psa makes some great 15 mags that run just as good as oem mags. 43x all day my favorite carry
Good presentation . There is a difference in the thickness, but is it enough of a difference to make a difference, I say no.
Ricky from IBM
I agree and that is why I compared them. Thanks for watching
I think the Glock 43x Mos replaces the Glock 19. It's much smaller and also hold 15 rounds
O. You have to use aftermarket mags. And what is the advantage of carrying a conceal gun you make more bulky by adding an optic you will never efficiently use under stress when you need it
@@TerryBenton Good Point
Glock 26 enters the chat lol
I have one and I compare it to thec43x also. It is a better choice
A 15-minute video that could have been less that 5 due to the repetition of the same info over and over and over...and over again.
I am sorry you feel this way. It is easy to solve your problem. Turn it off. Thank uou for watching 5 minutes of my 15 min video
19 digs in my junk, weighs too much for comfort and is too fat. Also, CA limits us to 10 rounds.
That california law is absolutely unconstitutional. I am sure you know this. Thanks for your input amd for watching
@@TerryBenton It is! But the CA prosecutors will throw the book at us for standard cap mags but will release and not prosecute drug dealers and felons. Terrible.
