The BF is so lucky that guy told on himself !! He would have been charged with this crime and no one would have w batted an eye and just said glad we got that monster !!!
Those security officers who wouldn't trust getting into a car with the guy are how "rotten apples" stay in positions of trust. Bet they're still in positions of trust.
I was appalled and disgusted that the judge allowing him to pray out loud in court. Also, it was outrageous that he was allowed to turn and address the family.
No one though, now that he is shaken the confidence in the public and the students there at that school. How are they ever gonna trust anybody again? In a security vehicle there on campus..
Exactly...nor out clubbing whoring n drinking n attacking your boyfriend that came to pick you up. Alcohol n drama queens as she was dont mix well but combine frequently.
it's notl always about "letting " your girl walk alone, some arguments require a few moments alone, but rarely does that's extend from 12-mid/to 4 am there a limit, know yours and tour partners!
Tell me you're sexist without telling me you're sexist. I would never get involved with a guy who tried to control me. The only thing Kayleigh's boyfriend did wrong was acting like a jerk when she got home. He probably beats himself up for this because of what happened afterward, but he was right to give her space, and her death was not his fault.
This case reveals an important point to remember. Tell the police the girl has a dangerous medical condition and they can't tell you she is out partying so come back in a couple days if she doesn't stagger home.
That's the ultimate second part of the crime....demanding forgiveness from the victims...... Her poor parents , who just can't forgive this demon, and understandably are consumed by hate , which with the passing of time only gets more intense. Campus "security" is definitely to blame here.
Kaylee's law should have been that all current officers would have thorough background checks done on them again, and future officers have thorough background checks done on them before they could even be considered. I worked for a company that did that, and found one guy trying to apply was denied just because of a traffic violation committed in another state. Before his marriage he had nothing to look forward to so he had the urge to kill. Taking an innocent persons life who had a lot to look forward to. He's totally deranged
An even bigger tragedy after this: in 2022, thieves broke into a locker and stole the urn that contained her ashes, and threw her ashes into a nearby river. Now the family has nothing by which to remember her.
Bend's overall rate of crime is 34 per 1,000 residents. The violent crime rate in Bend, as of 2022, stands at about 1 in 312 residents, it is safer than approximately 32% of U.S. cities. Not as safe as it used to be.

Also, the interrogator who said 'I know you are not a bad guy' and remained calmed and professional while he obviously felt otherwise is amazing to tell the least. Now, I just don't understand how these things happen in a developed country like the US. I haven't seen or heard of such cases in Europe or Latinamerica. Something is wrong with people in general, and this goes beyond economics.
I hate to break it to you, but this sort of thing happens on every continent with the exception of Antarctica. Bad intentions, r*pe, murder, etc. are not unique to the US.

I don't think he is pure evil. The fact he told his wife his guilt of what happened and his full confession in the end. I've seen many crime cases here and obviously, you haven't seen what pure evil is.
Aundreah was incredibly brave. The only thing I wanted to add is that victims shouldn’t worry about embarrassment and should do everything in their power to give the cops and their families clues or hints of their abduction. Her putting the Facebook video he took on private helps only him not her. I would’ve totally and happily put it on public! I would want people to know that I’m in danger. I’m not victim blaming but telling anyone who is ever in this situation not to do that or worry about possible embarrassment when your life is on the line. I’m just glad she’s okay and hope she recovers. Courageous girl.

This is why I left the US. Aside from all the economic issues, you also have to deal with people like this and sometimes you get pulled in randomly into the evil. I've met too many hispanics like Edwin, without an ethical compass. The only way forward was to leave to have some peace.

Great time to warn young girls not to go clubbing drinking and whoring...it usually never ends well.
The BF is so lucky that guy told on himself !! He would have been charged with this crime and no one would have w batted an eye and just said glad we got that monster !!!
My first thought is he killed her, but he does something unthinkable so it can't be that...
How awful! His poor wife AND that precious, innocent young woman! 😔
Those security officers who wouldn't trust getting into a car with the guy are how "rotten apples" stay in positions of trust.
Bet they're still in positions of trust.
Because their "brotherhood" backs them up. ACAB.
They are everywhere. Not just in positions of trust.
Thanks for the video. This is a sad one. I don't think Lara felt any remorse. He just thrives on attention.

Just anyone who knows "security guards" are not necessarily trustworthy people. It's a job like any other job.
No one though, now that he is shaken the confidence in the public and the students there at that school. How are they ever gonna trust anybody again? In a security vehicle there on campus..

Kaylee's law should have been that all current officers would have thorough background checks done on them again, and future officers have thorough background checks done on them before they could even be considered. I worked for a company that did that, and found one guy trying to apply was denied just because of a traffic violation committed in another state. Uggh, what a psychopath! His self- infulgent confession and prayer in the court room made my skin crawl!
The professionalism of the police officers and interrogators are absolutely mind blowing. I couldn't believe my ears when I heard the operator ask him whether he needs any medication, and other stuff regarding the killer's safety. I wonder what she felt as she uttered those words on the phone.
Also, the interrogator who said 'I know you are not a bad guy' and remained calmed and professional while he obviously felt otherwise is amazing to tell the least.
