I'm not sure what "no child left behind" has to do with it.. but I think that varies from state to state.
I live in Illinois. My children's school did not hesitate to fail or hold back a student if they've failed. Certainly weren't getting their high school diploma/ graduate without the required credits. ("super senior" is what the kids called the students that took longer than 4yrs to graduate -- grade 9-12)
Grade K-8 -‐-- if they fail something, then they have to repeat it, plus (recommendation) for summer school.
      Anyways.. Have a fabulous night!

9:25 The detectives did not speak to Torey Adamcik on the same day as Brian Draper, I thinks it's one day later, Torey had time to get his story straight with Brian regarding not being at the movies. When Torey was interviewed the detectives already had the confession from Brian. Brian was never sorry for what he did during the interviews, he even smiled when asked about Cassie. He always wanted to minimize, he only half-confessed because he was about to get caught. He was very uncomfortable in his last interview when confronted about the found video tapes.

when I was the teen babysitter for our neighborhood (well off, huge houses) these two brothers lured me into the basement to “look at” something, they turned off the lights and locked me down there, I crawled around the rooms for an hour crying while they beat on the door laughing, I found a landline phone and called my mom, she came over, sent the boys to their rooms and called their mom, her friend, come to find out later the neighbor 18+-year-old guy was in on it……..
there is no telling what would have happened to me if I hadn't crawled around trying to find a lamp etc and found that phone, when my mom got there they had taken an upstairs phone off the hook and turned off the whole houses power via the breaker box!
    never babysat again
the time prior to that I sat they deadbolt me out of the house and were shooting bottle rockets out their third story windows, should have told on them then but I was making $25 an hour at 15 in 1990?

Apparently, they said they just wanted to scare her they wanted her to go down into the basement, but she didn't, as if you see movies, you never go into the basement alone. This as a movie fan especially of horror films is where it gets tricky of when you should allow your kids to watch horror movies. Kids brains are not wired to be able to take in such horror, gore, blood, and violence at such a young age. I even as a kid watched some horror but parents knew when to turn it off or when I was done etc. This ultimately comes down to the person who commits the terrible crime. If I ever have kids I'm not letting them watch horror movies until at least 15-16 these kids watched them at earlier ages and then it influenced them at the teenager age.
