wow, just wow. He is just poetry in motion. His stride is perfection, I haven't seen such a long, coving stride in a while. A beautiful horse, and an incredible athlete.
he was in perfect control the whole time, and when he knocked the brown fence, the horse didnt freak or anything. he has obviously spent a long time forming such a great bond with this horse.
it doesn't get better then this, this horse was beautifully possitioned at each jump and the jumps were clean and almost looked like the horse was flying this was beautiful

I love the Derby. It's one of the hardest riding competitions in the world. The people who participate are the creme de la creme of the european jumping sports.
Tolles Pferd - Toller Reiter - Tolles Team!!!
@Anna Jacoby I saw no harshness is this ride. All I saw was an amazingly smart rider who handled his horse well. He clearly did what he thought was right to make this ride the best he could. I saw a lot of praise. No harshness. If you think I might have missed a part where he is harsh please tell me which part of the clip and I will take a closer look. Again I saw no harshment in this ride. Just praise and smart riding.
@Delaney Richardson Thank You. I missed that part. Perhaps the horse was trying to cut through the arena. Or maybe he just was harsh during that part. There really is no way anyone could really know unless you ask the rider. Hope this somewhat gave a goob response.
Kaitlyn Harrison | ChicBeautyxo13 There's something called sponging, which you pull gently side to side, but sawing is when the rider yanks side to side....
Bravo ! Toutes mes félicitations ! Et bonne continuation
+Kajsa Sloth every sport is dangerous for horse and rider. some more than others i agree... but showjumping is soooo much fun and most horses LOVE it! its something they do so naturally!
+Samantha Wills I completely agree. Cars are very dangerous for the driver and street walkers. I even more agree. Life is dangerous for every human. The best medicine is the gallows.
I have no "problem" with normal showjumping where the bar falls when the horse hits it, but when the bar is stuck even if the horse hits it, thats when i think it becomes to dangerous. No hate what so ever, i like to ride millitary sometimes myself when the jumps arent to high, my point is just that u have to be careful :)))
lol if I tried to do that drop thing with my horse: my horse: haha NO. me: please? my horse: fine. *LEAP* me: LOL IM DOING IT *face plant* my horse: *TROLL FACEEEE*
he can really shorten and lengthen his canter!! like wow! for the people saying that hes slamming down on the horses back hes not its called half seat. it was really well ridden!!
HannahMaple yes!! That horse has amazing capability and so does he rider. The rider wasn't slamming down on the horse's back either!! Very well ridden. I'm also watching this in 2017 so this might be a late response to this 😂😂
01:12 01:25 01:48 these are so dangerous... l dislike those kind of jumps 1 wrong move and your done same with cross country.. 03:04 is a normal AND SAFE JUMP. He did ride very nice.. but it can go very wrong!
Leon wolves Yeah, what mostly makes it dangerous.. is those riders who care more about winning the money than there horses The riders who have great horsemanship they ride this beautifully but you can tell the difference very quickly.. As long as the horse and rider are happy, l'm happy it's just.. when it goes wrong.. it changes a lot.. not just for the horse but also for the rider itself
+Marit that's true. and yes trust is a big thing. my horse used to be used as a commodity and she's just now opening up to me and trusting me because she seemed so closed within herself and fearful of people
Weißt du, was du redest, bevor Sie sagen, es Blödmann. By the way, nutzt die Vor-und Nachteile zu beschreiben Reitsport?
That was simply incredible.... Ive not seen such a great jumper in a looong time, simply like a combination of a leaping tiger and an airlight bird.... amazing :)
That horse loves to jump he respects and trusts his rider this was a relief to watch, great partnership right there that horse would jump through fire if that man asked him to because he knows the man would never ask him to do something he knew he couldn’t. What a great feeling to have with another being
That was my first reaction - long enough the front hooves would be over the fence before the back ones left the ground :-D But, man alive, he did well. Even over the "Boomerang Finder"!
i am sooooooo jealous! i wish i could be this good one day but the furthest i will ever get is an ODE! the horse has such a long back! well done for such an amazing round!
1, I don't really like how he jabs the spurs into the horse's sides, but that's not THAT bad... 2. Is it just me, or is the horse's conformation not very good? I'm not sure if it's the video or what because to me it kinda looks like the horse has a slightly ewe neck and a long hollow back...
Kaitlyn Harrison | ChicBeautyxo13 ya stupid it's called a check you do it before every fence on some horses so that the horse won't run away from the jump
The horse's conformation probably has to do with some hot lineage. You see that head carriage a lot in arabs, akhal tekes, sometimes thoroughbreds. They have long, thin necks that come up when excited. it doesn't look too ewe to me, I don't see a lot of overdeveloped muscle on the underside and when the horse does bring its head down, you can see that it is still flexible, which wouldn't be the case in a true ewe, where the horse has trouble flexing because of the lack of muscle in the crest and overdevelopment on the underside. The rider's sharp corrections with the reins may be due to the high head carriage. The horse could avoid a lot of pressure from the bit with that head and his head does go up coming into a jump, so the rider might be forced to use the reins more to achieve the right result.
It looks like he's using the reins to pull himself into the jumping position over every jump! I never once see his hands go forward throughout the course and he barely every releases. Also, if you look closely you can see him sawing the horses mouth at 2:30!
The reason he is pulling on his mouth is too keep him in control. Horses get hyped up while doing this. All of the people criticizing the rider couldn't do any better, he rode the horse effortlessly.
POOR POOR HORSE!!!! That rider had such a terrible position! Slamming on his back with every stride and man handling his mouth the whole ride. That horse was such a saint and very professional.
wow, just wow. He is just poetry in motion. His stride is perfection, I haven't seen such a long, coving stride in a while. A beautiful horse, and an incredible athlete.
You swim the words on its perfection
he was in perfect control the whole time, and when he knocked the brown fence, the horse didnt freak or anything. he has obviously spent a long time forming such a great bond with this horse.

This is the MOST superb animal I have laid my eyes on. What COURAGE, HEART, and BRAVERY this horse has!!!! Never have I seen so much umphhh before!!!
Aww! his little nod before his round, bless him xx
That horse is divine! And seems to be thoroughly enjoying the course as well. Those two work well together!
I absolutely love how this horse carries himself. Absolutely gorgeous. What a bond. It takes trust.
Beautiful, beautiful run! I love how the horse just glides over the jumps! Amazing!
Fantastic horse, great riding. The horse made a very calm impression, and he and his rider did an amazing job.
Beautiful performance!! That horse really trusts his rider and moves gracefully.

Wow what an amazing horse and rider! Lovely to watch :) Does anyone know what height these jumps are at? Thanks

amazing, i have never seen a bond quite like that he controlled the horse perfectly and the horse seemed to be just so smooth!
@Anna Jacoby I saw no harshness is this ride. All I saw was an amazingly smart rider who handled his horse well. He clearly did what he thought was right to make this ride the best he could. I saw a lot of praise. No harshness.

Thank you. I hadn't thought about it like that.
Delaney Richardson he's trying to get align with the jump, my trainer told me you don't pull you just lighty move the bit side to side to que him
Kaitlyn Harrison | ChicBeautyxo13

Love the horse great jumps!!!!🤗🤗🤗
Wonderful horse and wonderful performance! !! 0__0
Knees always tucked, gorgeous horse! Owner must be so proud...that horse is truly an angel :)
Wow, what athletic power and grace...just beautiful.🐎
Bravo ! Toutes mes félicitations ! Et bonne continuation
Excelente y gracias por compartir.
He rode very good!! Nice horse and rider and they both trust each other.

I comepletely agree, though i do not support theese kind of compititions. They are way to dangerous for both rider and horse.

these are so dangerous... l dislike those kind of jumps
1 wrong move and your done
same with cross country..
03:04 is a normal AND SAFE JUMP.
He did ride very nice.. but it can go very wrong!
spoil sport ;)
But it didn't. Because he had trust with his horse and trust always overrules failures

That horse was well like "Water jump? Pfffft. I'll show you how big you should have made it." XDD

Wow!!! Gorgeous horse, just gliding over the jumps.
Your horse did very, well was it fun? because I'd like to try that someday.

Helene Simos yeah sure, that's why the mouth of the horse nearly got to its cheek and he pulled his hand back with such a force
Totaly agree With u Delany. And when the horse "didnt Want to go forwads" because of the yanking he just wiped and kicked With his spures :I
Yeah i noticed that too but he's actually yanking his reins to make his horses head tuck which is SO wrong.:(
Kaitlyn Harrison | ChicBeautyxo13
He's not yanking the reins to make the horse's head tuck

He's so forward and smooth, very nice.
World no.1 Horse 🏇🐎.
That horse is one of the most elegant movers I have ever seen. Beautiful. Would be even more if the rider gave him room to stretch out.
Looks like he is riding a Tennessee Walker and the stride this horse is incredible simply flying through the course!
First class riding and superstar horse!
POOR POOR HORSE!!!! That rider had such a terrible position! Slamming on his back with every stride and man handling his mouth the whole ride. That horse was such a saint and very professional.
I really love this horse!
Horses...they never cease to amaze me.
this horse is amazing he does everything to please his rider.
Magnifique cheval
Love this guy, the longest back ever and crazy frame, he just comes in like a bat out of hell and eats that course alive! AWESOME steed.
Beautiful!
Does that horse have a really long spine, or does it just appear that way because he is carrying his head high?
I love the crowd they just always no when to clap or say "Ohhhh"

that horse has an amazing stride. It's movements are so large.
