Omg, Brooks was an absolute nightmare. He irritated the crap out of me. Subject matter jurisdiction, AKS instead of ask, he doesn’t identify by the name Darrell Brooks, he’s representing his client blah blah blah. Where is his client? Idiot

If you want to offend a group of individuals, call them "you people."
Although I'm no speech coach "you people" seems to lack formality, but I don't assume that in itself borderline over into actual offensiveness secondly. Perhaps, maybe "you individuals" or "you the jury" would've been better, but the jury members didn't obtain a license in order to be present inside the courtroom, but rather are trial in and outers... the same kind of which Franklin hopes to become at that. I'm not sure if there's a "class 101" standard to go by (or what not) in making such addresses, but I at least wouldn't have been personally offended anyways.

Using the terms “ guess what” And “right” constantly at the beginning, and end of statements that aren’t questions will certainly impress the jury, although, perhaps, not in the manner , my boy was hoping.

What a powerful conclusion to the defendants opening statement. Everything he said after he apologised for his tone to the Jury was pretty darn Masterful :). He’s like the antithesis of D Brooks.

Yeah just last year, Darrell Brooks represented himself and he was accused of murder 6× over and injuring 61 others so that's definitely not true. Ted Bundy was not the last or close to it.

Any time Mr Tucker gets close to exposing the truth the state flies into objecting this that & everything. He's doing a good job if he were allowed to follow thru on his point👍

From what I've heard through the trial, Tucker didn't have teeth back then and looked totally different.. wonder if they will show Paula a pic of him back then..
He took the case and saved himself a boatload of money bc he has the actual victim on his side. Why pay thousands of dollars for the inevitable acquittal? The VICTIM said in a deposition that the DEFENDANT did NOT commit the crime he's charged with. Why is this defendant getting such a bad rap for doing this? He is not guilty! If she said he did do it, you'd all say he was guilty so why isn't he being given the same? THIS IS THE DEFINITION OF REASONABLE DOUBT...NOT GUILTY!
For a man with no experience being a lawyer, he’s doing very well representing himself!
I feared that this would go similar to the Darrel Brooks trial- but it seems like this man has really cleaned himself up compared to the mugshot given, and his sincerity makes it really seem he’s innocent.
I’m very interested in seeing how this case goes. If he is innocent, which if he has the other victim on his side; seems likely, I hope he is able to prove his case.
people get all caught up in true crime and conspiracies. this is the first ive really heard of this trial and so far im thinking its going to be a great trial.

Too many uses of the word publicly in your sentence.
Anonymously writing words is easier than publicly speaking, especially with your life on the line.
But sure keep mocking someone while making mistakes yourself, that's always a good look in my opinion.
I liked Franklin's one-two... that is his first narrowing down how little of what the prosecution presented is actually true (according to his perception... Ty also looked confident in how he didn't extensively elaborate) while secondly mentioning the bomb peice of evidence he claims to have or perhaps even main theme of his innocence too... that of an assaulted witness identifying otherwise.... Lastly, Franklin also appeared to display confidence in how he didn't flinch or look like he was about to stick his tail in between his legs with that first distinctly heard objection of the prosecution... the defendant looked as if he knew he was gonna get out of that situation simply, despite probably not having the knowledge of an actual attorney.
Why does Tucker keep saying “right” after almost every sentence? If he’s acting as his own attorney, he’s screwed cuz he’s already coming across as a moron.
I don’t know a single thing about this case but when you have a grizzled and unhealthy looking 70 yr old with a goatee and an earring, dressed totally inappropriately repping himself, you know damn well he’s guilty

Lmao in his motion claiming the state did not have a case Mr. TYRONE claims the state 'bribed' witnesses to testify. Here he says victim is testifying for defense and qualifies that w fact 'she has no reason'! Ladies and gentleman of the jury he who smelt it dealt it. The cheater always accuses their spouse ! This man married a millionaire! Better watch that victims lifestyle and her family and friends lifestyles! There is something rotten in Denmark!!!!
10m into his opening I already know this gentleman is innocent and definitely not in the realm as Brooks. just my humble opinion...time will tell.
Ty is a good man, we know him personally & He’s a very intelligent man!! Ty is INNOCENT!!! The victim & witness said that he wasn’t even there! Prayers to you Ty! This is a scary situation & we wish you a fair & Just trial!

The defendant is doing a good job so far. His opening statement raised a lot of doubt. Definitely the best pro se defendant I've seen. I could see this being NG or a hung jury.

🤣 This idiot thinks “argumentative” means a sarcastic tone? This is why one must attend law school. “Argumentative” means you are asking a witness (or jury) to draw an inference, rather than offering material facts or offering evidence.

The prosecution can certainly speak of the evidence they have, which they didn't. This guy did and, despite his looks (he looks like a gangster, let's face it) his opening statement is more convincing.

I'm leaning toward Mr. Tucker. He is doing great with his own defense and, he seems very chill/relaxed based on the topic he's discussing... I am leaning toward not guilty!
