A friend went to court recently in Chatham VA and was accused of strangulation. Forensic nurse ruled out strangulation saying they’re no injuries to the person but bc it’s a felony the attorney was able to charge $7500 instead of $2500 for misdemeanor aggravated assault. So the friend did not get bail, his attorney let him sit. He wanted to go before the courts and give the other person a chance to go back to the nurse. The forensic nurse never saw the person again and the person didn’t show up in court. A third court date was set and the person showed up and pled the 5th. The case was then dismissed. That’s the BS reality that goes on . When will court TV show us the realities of crooked courts and attorneys.

I believe this gentleman on the stand is telling the truth. I also believe that Tyrone is taking full advantage of Travis, especially his Ptsd. I also believe Tyrone has been taking advantage of people and their weaknesses for a very, very long time now.
In my humble opinion, from everyone's interrogation footage as well as this footage, Tyrone shows all the hallmarks of a psychopath. Glib, superficial, arrogant....just to name a few.
Watch the interrogation footage. Tyrone is a very dangerous individual, a true predator and camellion. I do not believe anyone has to have a diploma, accreditation nor affiliation to have an opinion of what Tyrone may have done with regards to the murder of a man who came to the aid of a woman being robbed as well as potentially fatally injured. My thoughts are with the victim and his family.

One of his main problems is that he never seems to object to any of the testimony-he is therefore not preserving any rights to appeal on these issues. He is also letting the witness during his cross be non responsive to his questions and instead let him to go on and say damaging things instead of requesting the judge to direct the witness to only answer his questions.

Here's my thoughts tho. Even tho he's not objecting when he should be, etc. it seems plausible that the appellate court might scrutinize his trial more simply because by going pro se his trial is more likely to have errors in it. If they see somewhere where someone should have objected and improper evidence was admitted, they might still provide him relief. None the less, not having an attorney is still clearly a net negative

    • @1morechip
      @1morechip 5 місяців тому +1

@udhehfhehcuw9169 if you don't preserve, it basically needs to be structural error-level bad. There wasn't really anything that was error that wasn't done by him (Namely getting rory Wilson's statement in). He is preserving on the bigger issues, namely the whole internal affairs bit, and he managed to keep out the proffer which was good

@@udhehfhehcuw9169 "by going pro se his trial is more likely to have errors in it". If a pro se makes errors, appellate court does not provide any relief. He is the one that needs to make objectives on his own behalf, and there is no relief for inadequate counsel when you represent yourself. Only possibility would be if the judge erred in allowing self-representation.

Travis has PTSD but here's the thing.... people with Ptsd become very astute at identifying danger as well as dangerous people imho only.
It becomes a super power of sorts.
According to Dr. Jordan Peterson, people with Ptsd have to develop a very deep and comprehensive understanding of the absolute malovelence they have encountered to survive Ptsd.
In Travis's case he is a veteran that lived the nightmare of war as well as too many personal family tragedies.
I personally believe all people with Ptsd strive for is some semblance of peace in their lives.
If you watch Travis, he is litterally looking at Tyrone like he is studying (with full understanding) the monster in front of him. He's looking at him like one would inspect a deadly, venemous snake.
The Canadian government was compelled to put out the full interrogation of Paul Bernardo into the public domain.
Tyrone Franklin or whatever his name is, behaves exactly like Bernardo to me.
Turn down the volume completely on his interrogation footage and you would think, just like Bernardo he was a CEO calling the shots in a meeting.
Chilling and equally important to strive to understand the nature of evil and how it moves.

Ya let’s hope the jury gets it right - you can’t convict someone without “credible” evidence and the state has not shown any other evidence than Travis’s story putting him at the scene. It could easily have been Travis who was running back to his own truck that night on the video. It’s pretty logical. He parked- the 2 go in - he stabs Matt then runs to his truck - parks it at the warehouse - changes clothes - walks to Tom Thumb- meets Rory and they walk back together to the warehouse. The state only focused on Tucker because he was at the Metro PCS store with Rory earlier. The last time the truck pulled up to the treehouse - it never circled back into camera view.

I would NEVER formally address a per-se defendant of whom I considered totally lying, while secondly contradicting my own sequence of events. For that matter,, right after John addressed Franklin in such a way, this per-se defendant might've caught this witness off guard to whatever exact extent. That said, when randomly (and probably surprisingly) asked if John had come up with his story on his own... the witness's first noiceable reaction of snickering for a moment seems to leave you to wonder if he did so in order to promote the gesture of "nice try" with that quick question (the impression of qhich John was probably at least trying to give off) or if this witness did so out of uneasiness or awkwardness, which could indicate the guilt of misleading on his own part. However, one... the discussion surrounding a terrorizing event that left even one person deceased is obviously not a laughing matter... You'd think that a witness such as John would've tried to adjust accordingly prior to even getting up on the stand. Secondly, it's at least something of more common for people who snicker out of non-seriousness... to reply rather briefly, but sharply or rather to the point that is... such as the event of John replying by saying "yes, my claims are true unlike yours." However, this witness seemed to dance around this yes or no question in his extended version of an answer, without actually digging his foot into the ground in order to firmly establish his position. That said, if one finds it convenient to laugh instead of actually provide a legitimate answer, then someone who reacts in such a way is at least more likely to not secondly desire to thoroughly explain when they obviously didn't have the reflexes to pounce on the question immediately (falling in line with a lack of seriousness). And John didn't snicker extremely soon after Franklin threw this curve ball at him for that matter. I wouldn't go as far as saying that this witness took way long to laugh, but the event of a comical reaction taking place, would seem to be at least something (that is) of more commonly associated with someone who practically entirely failed to have the ability to interpret this accusation as anything except a laughable falsehood. Lastly, the second time that John implicated Franklin as being a guilty co-conspirator... he did so without any provocation and didn't even try to passively descise this implication as a basic part of his answer... (I would've guessed this as an opportunity for the judge to call him out on it too) he just threw this guilt-based implication at Franklin rather randomly. That said, John certainly had a good, opportunity to reply similarly to Franklin after this per-se defendant asked him if he "came up with his story by himself", but the witness didn't find it in himself to do so at which point of convenience.
