- In this video we show you 5 of the most under priced Mopar parts you will see at a swap meet. Swap meets are our happy place, we love shopping, finding deals, and finding rare parts so have a lot of experience with prices. A lot of experience has shown us what at a swap meet is normally under priced compared to what you see online. We did the top 5 most overpriced parts yesterday and hope you watch!
Covers 4 BBL Aluminum intakes (Streetmaster 318, DB4B, Offenhauser, etc), B-Body Map lights, 1969-70 Dodge Charger and 1969 Plymouth Road Runner reverse lights, scatter shields and log exhaust manifolds. - Авто та транспорт
Hey Tom, just started watching your videos course. I learned about them through Jamie's channel Dead Dodge garage. I want to say thank you so much for sharing this information with us. I really appreciate it and I think what you're doing on here is great. Keep it up. Don't let haters get you down because they just want to have something to piss and moan about?
Thanks for watching!
I learned a few things from this video, thanks Tom. Beautiful dog!
Hemi is a good boy.
I knew those manifolds would one day be useful. Especially if you building a truck or something that doesn’t require hp manifolds. Dual exhaust still sounds awesome with them and some decent mufflers!
Totally
Im Mopar all the way but those Alfa drums are literally works of art.
They are pretty awesome.
Always interesting content 👌
Thanks!
Thanks for this. The biggest local swap meet here is in about 3 weeks and I'll keep these in mind. I still need to get to a truly large swap meet though, and for my car, not just for this.
You never know what you will find at a swap, it’s like Christmas morning!
Good stuff to know. Definitely don’t plan on getting into the parts flipping business. But I always enjoy this type of info.
Think I got a little bit of the wrong tempo on this one, was more trying to show people undervalued parts and ended up being a flip parts video which was not my intention.
That’ll happen, your content is great. I like how it’s a bit off the cuff and organic.
Great info, Thanks
Thanks for watching!
@@rocketresto how do I get to your eBay sales store where you sell parts?
@@davidbisnette7673 Can't post a link on here but we are rocketresto on eBay.
@@rocketresto Thank you
Very informative video Tom! I wonder how rare the bumper guards are for a 1973/74 barracuda. I’m looking for a set of them as one of them for my 1974 ‘Cuda has a hole in it.
They aren’t worth a ton, lot of guys take them off to get the 70-72 look. So should be pretty easy to find!
Got an Air Gap RPM Performer, used, for my small block that had maybe 50 miles on it. $250. I got a standard RPM intake from the junkyard a few years back. $50. The '69 Swinger from Texas, that had been converted to 383 ('68 RR drivetrain) in about '77-'78 had the correct BB, A-body manifolds and the 8.75" rear had a 3.23 SG pumpkin.
$50 is a good deal!
@@rocketresto it was; the Air Gap wasn't a screaming deal, nor a rip off- new they are $426 & change, plus tax. So $250, even with the low usage, is a fair deal
Your Rooks County sign cracks me up. I remember it from living there as a kid. Long ways from your stomping grounds.
Found that in an attic in Stockton Kansas last year and got it restored, love that sign!
Hey Tom. Love the content .. do you guys ever go to Carlisle , PA for Chryslers at Carlisle? I know its a far trip for you.
Been a couple times, awesome swap. Might try to fly out next year but me going to a swap meet and not being able to bring stuff home is not a great combo.
@@rocketresto I hear that. Luckily, I live 30 minutes from Carlisle.. 😁
Great content and thank you for that.
Now clean that shop! 😂
Dude...the shop is SO bad right now...
Lol.. that’s a good sign. It means the shop is BUSY 👍🏼
@@mattf7282hour spent cleaning is an hour we can’t bill…but saying that we really need a shop cleaning day.
Whats your next C body resto project. I see a lot of shells out in your yard
Want to get the body and paint done on my 1968 Plymouth Sport Fury 440 4 Speed convertible, but first picked up a 383 4 speed one last summer we are going to slam an engine into this summer. Stay tuned for that!
Well your shop is known to have a few demons from time to time right LMAO 🤣
It’s happened
Hm I found a speed parts shop in Canada. I have a '60 Fury that for some reason it was born with the front on top facing the driver turn signals. Have not seen any others with them. What I did find they are the same used on a '68 GTX. I got 2 new lenses, the special bulbs, 2 new bulb sockets, 2 new wires with correct ends and even new gaskets. For $100.00 bucks. Year one has the Lense alone for like $225.00.
Could have been added?
What's an NOS 68 Road Runner finish panel worth? My dad bought one for his 68 in the fall of 68 but never installed it, still in the mint original box, thanks.
A lot, let me know if you are going to sell it.
@@rocketresto Got an email address I can send pictures?

With all your inventory how do you keep the mice out?
Shop cats and a lot of traps, it is a problem.
Vintage car and part prices are almost parallel the vintage musical instrument game. I've had so many "worthless" parts appreciate more than gold over the past few decades.
It is funny what becomes worth a bunch and what doesn't.
@@rocketresto One part that I still need for my 72 SE is the driver side exhaust manifold heater stove. It's a 440 hp with Magnum manifolds. I was told that the 71 setup requires modification to fit my 72. Any further info would be appreciated. can't imagine how much a NOS one would bring.
@@SE-me2ptI have a bunch of heat stoves, have a picture of what it looks like? Send me an email Tom at Rocket resto dot com
I found a stock 340 4bbl iron intake locally on CL for 150 and I sold it on ebay for 325 plus shipping a few years ago. It was dirty and I media blasted it.
Just cleaning something and presenting it better can make a world of difference.
Pretty sure those back up lamps are also found on 68-70 B body station wagons.
Think you’re right
Also I own a 71 Sport Suburban. Those back up lamps are on every C-Body wagon from 69-71.
mmm Alfa parts. If anyone has the chance, take a drive in one of the Alfa Romeo Alfetta chassis cars, the 1970s Sport Sedan, Sprint Veloce, the 1980s GTV6 and Milano. They used torsion bars up front and a solid live rear axle, ala Chrysler TorsionAire, with the exception of the rear mounted transaxle and coil rear springs. The effect of a driveshaft rotating at engine speed changes a driving dynamic, called a high polar moment. I'm not sure how to explain the feeling other than they have a smooth glide around corners. An enjoyable driving experience.
Alfa has some super cool parts.
Mr Rocket needs to have 10sec car n he will be legit af.
Never been much of a drag racer although think I’m going to try to get my 72 polara out on the drag strip this year.
Station wagon Tailgates, tail lights, rear bumpers
Wagon tail gates are getting very hard to find, tough to ship however.
There were many days when a Bud Tall Boy was priceless.
Value is all in the eye of the beholder

The best deals to be found at swap meets happen when the guy selling the stuff has to go and eat or something along that line, and his friend who isn’t into cars comes and sits in for him. What do you think it’s worth? Oh, ten dollars all day long! Can I get a little help with this E body Dana please.
Lol
I'm confused about your shop. Are you the only employee and do all the work or do you have a basement full of chained up people that do the work?
It would be nice to see some videos of the work you do because it looks like you have amazing results.
Try to have a balance of project stuff and information, will try to feature more shop cars. Have 3 mechanics who work here at Rocket.
@@rocketresto don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the channel.
@@allenm00appreciate you watching!
Great video , if you dont have a fedex business account get one. Can save you $$.
We get great rates through Stamps.com, get UPS commercial rates and no residential surcharges. USPS through them too.
@@rocketresto good deal 👌
Ramble all you want to. I find anything you have to say useful. I'm not a frustrated viewer at all.
Appreciate you watching!
Good video but do you have to brag about buying the part for a certain price and then selling the parts at a profit?
Rewatching the video it didn’t go quite like I expected. I do these off the cuff, not scripted, and that happens sometimes.
Powder coating stock exhaust manifolds usually works quite well
Haven’t tried that. Been using the Eastwood stuff (when we don’t paint them) and baking it in the oven when my wife’s out of town.
I have a 440 cast intake manifold. Typically valued at… what? I know, whatever someone is willing to pay for it. 😊
Depends on year and date code. General answer is not much. Every 440 came with a 4 bbl so ton out there. If 68-71 with a good date code they are $50-$100, anything later is basically scrap, earlier not much more than that.
@@rocketresto Thanks for getting back with me!🤓
Pallets standing on the edge is an ,O S H A violation lol
I don’t know what you mean by this osha thing…
Occupation health and safety administration it's a federal administration.its for safety in the workplace pallets standing on edge can cause injuries especially the blue cheps ones
I'm a dairy manager and I work with them all day
Dude in these types of informational videos don't ramble on like UTG... Show us the important stuff you want to share. You'll get a longer audience involvement. And less frustration from your followers.
Agree. I just fast forwarded to the topic at hand
couldn't disagree more
Maybe you need to get out of the collector car hobby all together cuz if you can't take 16 minutes out of your day to watch a video that is being put out by a man who owes you nothing yet. He takes time out of his schedule to put this video out. Probably more than 16 minutes because there's editing as well. So what if he rambles a little bit? It's a 16-minute video. If you can't tolerate a 16-minute video and somebody rambling a little bit then I don't really think you're really cut out to be working on antique cars and trying to collect them or trying to rebuild them or trying to restore them because I'm going to tell you this right now. I've been doing this for quite a long time. Working on a lot of vehicles and patience is one of your best tools you're ever going to have. So stop being ungrateful and start showing a little bit of gratitude. If you don't have nothing good to say then just don't say nothing at all
Utg garbage bro, justmoparjoe, junkherup, talljohnfunshop they actually know what there talking about n they actually have the cars to smoke u in the quarter mile.
Look I understand what you’re saying. Watch a lot of videos on UA-cam (with a little ADD adding in) and find myself going forward sometimes too. Try to balance good info with getting to the point and it is a hard balance. Plus the fact that UA-cam promotes longer videos does not help with it. Will try to trim a little more fat next time.
Please don't ramble.Get to the point.
It’s a fine line between going on too long and getting out good info.
Ok parts flippers And horders are the reason this hobby can’t survive as a hobby. Not for the average guy. Buy what you need cheap and use it. Find a more respectable way to make money please. You won’t so I just unsubscribed.
I understand where you are coming from but at the same time people like me keep the parts flowing. Especially when I buy out estates the stuff would just get tossed if it wasn’t saved. If the stuff doesn’t get bought at swap meets it will also just get scrapped. Sorry to lose you as a subscriber.
I bought a brand new elderbrock 440 intake 30 plus years ago it was $360 that was 30 years ago I couldn't find an aluminum intake anywhere I used one in Florida at the time not the one I want it with an open plenum
New is expensive and they are all hard to find now.
