When we were little our mittens had the long cord too. Threaded through our coat sleeves so the mittens didn’t get lost 🤗
oh, those subtle swatch color combinations are excellent! I never would have thought to put those together!
Ooh Emma! I love EVERYTHING! Your wrap cardigan is gorgeous! Your autumn colours are so beautiful! I want to buy everything ❤
Great episode. All your FOs and Wips look great.
Your wrap is very beautiful and cozy ❤ and your swatches see very neat
So excited you’re bringing in a sport weight (which is my favourite, but not so easy to find). And a wollen spun too!😀
Another fabulous episode
Haaaaa yessss. It is so Life Aquatic! Love that. I’m kind of tempted to do one the same now just because of that
I went to check out the sock pattern by Ailbiona McLochlainn and fell down a rabbit hole. What beautiful patterns. I bought about 5 and put more in my favourite for later. Thanks for bringing such a lovely designer to my attention!
Hi Emma
Seeing all your knits, fireplace going is making me put my fire on also but I am knitting while watching you
So cozy looking!!!😊
All your future knits I cannot wait to see
Thank you for your pod
Love it when your on
Have fun on your get away together ENJOY!!!
😊💝🇨🇦
Your colors are great, especially that roasted chestnut. I have trouble liking a lot of greens, but you do a great job with those also. For stubborn bread dough in cold weather, I've had pretty good luck with just heating my oven until it's somewhere in the 80s to 90s (Fahrenheit), turning it off, setting the dough in there and shutting the door really quickly! Even if you have to do it two or three times over a few hours, it's a cheap and easy solution.
Tubular bind off in sleeves is so satisfying for me too, love how it looks and feels.
I love the combination you’ve dyed for your No. 18 sweater, the taupe is stunning. I think the corrugated edging for the shawl will be so beautiful. A patchwork blanket in your swatches would look amazing! Wonderful fun episode Emma. Have a lovely weekend away. 🤍
Emma, you have brought new meaning to the reasons for swatching for me! I enjoy listening to you talk about your swatching process you are so passionate when doing so. You have enlightened me to consider some new swatching fun!
Your swatches are beautiful!
oooh that new native Irish wool looks amazing! can't wait to see what colors you come up with for it!
Beautiful projects! I would love to see your mushroom garland if you make it
I love the oatmealy marled looking swatch! It’s gorgeous. You’ve inspired me to make myself some thick socks using two of your sock yarns 🥰
Wow! Everything looks so nice. I love the fall yarns! Just perfect.
Yessssssssss, roast chestnut in the bag!!! High fives all round! Can't wait for my parcel to arrive!!! Thanks Emma 😊
Your yarn is so pretty!
Hi, Emma. I love the sweater that you are wearing. The mittens and the Stockholm hat are cute. I like your socks too… they look warm.
A very jolly episode. Thoroughly enjoyable and everything you showed and wore was gorgeous. Goody with all your knitting plans. So exciting😊
My house is pretty cold too and following advice from my sister I have a Brod and Taylor portable proofing oven. It was a Christmas present a couple of years ago and was a total game changer for getting consistency with my bread. 🍞
Interesting, thanks!
Ooo la la, I really love your wrap sweater. Love the style & color.💖
Ooo love all the ❤ your knitting projects are getting. Happy knitting
I had a thought about the shawl for your sister in law: maybe a subtle contrast by adding a strand of mohair to the textured stitches. ☺️
Another very nice podcast! Thank you. A "feather & fan"to finish the shawl, would be too much, you think? I like finishing mine like that.
Love your Stockholm Hat and the colour is gorgeous. If you wanted a good pattern for your daughter like yours Purl Soho have a couple of different Ribbed Hat Patterns on their website and they are free patterns. Thankyou once again for your time and energy to make these podcasts. Much love from Australia
Great episode; it was really useful seeing the colours together (I do find seeing groups of colours together such as say greens as you can do a direct comparison as to which sort of colour I might want, rather than trying to compare individual skeins on the website). The comparison of undyed with Jasmine was also useful as normally I don't go for these colours but to see them side by side has me thinking!
I've made myself a pair of slipper /House socks using some Navia Duo (100% wool) held double with left over mohair scraps and wear them over my normal socks. I suppose if you wanted you could add a sole if you wanted to go outside in them to avoid wicking moisture. I've also made my son a pair of 'Cozy Toesies' (various sizes) slippers by Lisa Chemery which he loves. This uses a bulky yarn but I chain plied some Schoppel DK sock. He loves these. I put a thick felt insole in to keep the foot shape but again a sole could be added. Both projects are on my Ravelry projects page if you want more info. This way you can have a pair of slippers that fit over your thick socks.
Beautiful yarn for the New Year! I will probably "need" some❤
Lovely projects, as usual and your swatches look sumptuous! I have to ask, as a passionate knitter who clearly has a love of yarn, how strong is your self-control not to take yarns from your shop for your own personal use? Because let me tell you, I. Could. Never! I would have 0 yarns for my store. 😆
You dye some beautiful yarn Emma 🧶❤
Your cords are SO nice! Where are they from?
Toast I think! or maybe Seasalt
the yarn from Uist looks beautiful - what is the company name?
Uist Wool
Yaaay !!! I'm the first to comment 🥳🎉🎆
Hi Emma! Do you have an email for brand partnerships? I'd love to chat about partnering on some crafty content 😊
