That masking up looks like a labour of love! I've just fitted a Progression Ignition distributor on my Ford 351 Windsor V8, it had a Mallory electronic dizzy before which went west. The Progression dizzy allows you to tune the timing via a smartphone/tablet there's no mechanical components in the dizzy. Might be worth a look at. Also has a rev limiter, kill switch for anti theft. They do one for a 302.
Cheers John, alas the money pot is pretty dry at the moment so I've not got the funds to look at swapping anything else out at the moment, I need this reassembled and back on the road!
@@RatchetRebuilds understand that feeling! Worth a look at once the budget allows. You can see the vacuum and timing real time on your phone, adjust timing on the fly. It's a brilliant piece of kit.
Andrew - I agree with getting the engine looking great. You wouldn’t put a dirty engine into such a pristine looking car. Immaculate as always, looking forward to seeing it in the car. 🙏👌☘️
Oh you big tease! Just leave a big cliffhanger why don’t you. Good decisions all. It’ll look so much cleaner in neutral colors instead of the 1980’s blue and chrome theme.
Don’t waste your time refitting engine with Holley! Fit the Webbers while the engine is out. I’ve been down that path multiple times and regretted it. I understand why you want to do it that way but there is no point.
@@RatchetRebuilds hey mate. It was just extra work. It’s so much easier to do it all while the engine is out. And, the Webbers should be set up enough to get the car running and sorted. It’s up to you but I never liked doing things twice.
@@RatchetRebuilds and you already have the intake removed. Why refit it’s just to take it back off again and refit the Webbers. Again, you’re doubling up your work.

Thanks Peter, nothing is immaculate but I hope a reasonable quality! :-)
Wow, My best friend, Thank you for your hard work in making the video. I enjoyed the good video. Have a happy day.
Thanks for the comment and support 👍
Would definitely consider getting the valve covers powder coated vs painting. Much more durable! And lots of finishes and colors to choose from
I'd chewed over getting the powder coated but stand by my decision to paint them, it'll make sense in the end...
The valve cover looks MUCH better with the filler neck shortened.
Its the details that count! Thanks William :-)
I'm watching your series from Bangkok. It's very entertaining Andrew. You have an extensive range of impressive engineering skills.
Thanks David! Appreciate the support :-)
@@RatchetRebuilds what car is that engine from
Hey up mate that colour on your engine is ford Cleveland blue on Windsor's it's a darker inky blue which is more retro like your car

Haha, thanks Charlie, yes it'll be nice to tone everything down a notch or 2...
Not sure if you detailed this in an earlier video but is this a 302 stroker or a stock block?
Stock block
Looking guy or Andrew
Your smile is getting a bit wider each episode.

Hi Dean, why did you regret it? Swapping it all out certainly isn't hard, interested in your thoughts
