Dear Amanda, I am SO happy that your surgery went so well and was as minimal as it could be and that you felt cared for and safe, all those things will help you so much in your recovery. I cannot believe how many years have past and I have watched all your videos (eek!) you're such a beautiful person thank you so much for all the real positivity you share, you're a gem. Look after yourself and remember that you are enough. Being so genuine is a superpower in this life xx

I had 9 fibroids removed a few years ago and I too had an extremely hard recovery. Sitting up and standing was nearly impossible, and it took upwards of three weeks to regain mobility. Your body will continue to impress you as you heal, and the experience will prepare you for most journeys to come (I had a c-section when I had my baby and let’s just say, it was a breeze in comparison). I wish you continued strength and success as you move forward in your recovery. And let those tears out girl. You had an invasive (albeit necessary) surgery . Taming your vulnerability would be a disservice to your health and wellness journey. Stay well and thank you for the beautiful videos!

Even tho I am a nurse, I do NOT do any research for surgery/procedures I’m having or any illnesses/injuries that I have. It’s so hard to detach yourself emotionally from the research and everyone is different when it comes to recoveries etc. It’s also hard to know if it’s a reliable source of info. I leave it to my various docs to explain everything! Don’t be afraid to ask your health providers LOTS of questions!! So happy all went well ❤❤

So happy to hear how well your surgery went! I was in recovery last summer from surgery and it was definitely the most vulnerable and emotional part of the whole experience, esp having to lean on other people. So glad to hear you felt loved and cared for. Also, just had to say, you look so beautiful in this video! You're glowing !!

I haven't even finished this video yet, but I want to thank you for sharing your experience!!! I've been looking for your update video! As someone who has been dealing with uterine fibroids for quite a few years now, growing fairly rapidly at that, I am actually looking at potentially having a hysterectomy done. My doctor doesn't think it is necessary, but the amount of irritation, pain, discomfort, and other things going on in that area has become such a bother, and has really started to effect my quality of life. At last check, mine were 9.4x8.2x9.2 cm (this one is actually hanging on the outside of my uterus), 5.5x3.2x4.7 cm, and 5.1x3.7x3.4 cm, of course causing my uterus to be enlarged as well. That was 6 months ago, and every day seems to be causing more issues. I also have been dealing with occasional cysts, so I am ready for a change. I appreciate you sharing soooo sooo much! Thank you.

I have just had a mastectomy in January this year and still recovering and as you said it's getting strength and routine back. It made me feel vulnerable and anxious. It definitely takes time. Take care x

Dear Amanda i am so happy the surgery went well and that you had your mom, boyfriend, warm and loving nurses to help you through the recovery bit. I understand what you are saying about the pain,i did a hysterectomy and i was not prepared for how painful it would be after the surgery... But i did feel it was a gift and a new start💖💞🫂Warm hugs coming your way

Girl, if i would not be able to care for myself and anyone else should be caring for me, I would be so incredibly vulnerable and emotional as well. You are doing great, thanks for sharing your journey.

I’m so proud of you. I’ve had a similar surgery and sympathize. This level of pain, during recovery, definitely makes you realize a lot of things about yourself and what our bodies are capable of.
Continue to be gentle with yourself and at times, yes, you will get emotional thinking back about everything..❤❤Be well, Amanda.

So happy you're recovering well ❤️ I got emotional when you got emotional, I could totally feel how grateful you were for the wonderful care you received from everyone 🥰
Love a good health food shop browse! I found those vegan creme eggs too PLUS the same brand does little chocolate balls - sort of like a vegan Lindt ball? - and they are the best 😍😋
For DYI have you watched The Essentials Club? She's Aussie so I love to see her shop at Bunnings and I'm sure she has a video on tiling some tables 👍👍
Loved the length of this video, you kept me company as I made a batch of vegan protein bars! 🤗

So glad you're surgery went well 🤗 Never thought the recovery is so hard, but with time and patience all will be sorted. I am also thinking about all the C-section that women have and everyone expects you the next day to be with your baby in your arms although you aren't recovered properly...so sad...I think expectations from women are so unrealistic and unfair, not to forget that dr are so dismissive and women get undiagnosed properly for 10 years on average with endo and adenomyosis. I know that worse things happen in the world, but from my point of view, in 2024, with everything we know and all the development of science, this is unacceptable ... I think there is so much injustice and disrespect in the world, in regard to women, in general. Sad,but true... Thank you for sharing your experience. Take care 🤗
