Fun fact about Jake Juice: it's a reference to the prohibition-era where bootleggers would sell this Jamaican ginger extract that had 80% alcohol. It had a poisonous alcohol in it which gave people a type of paralysis known as "Jake leg"

9:53 there’s actually only one Nuka cola quantum that can be obtained in fallout new Vegas, it has a chance of spawning in a crate in lonesome road. So it’s really more of a collector item than an actual utility item.
Same with Jake Juice I’m pretty sure
Another thing about Black coffee's intelligence boost also increases with survival points, at 50 its +4 inellignce which is ridiculous good considering you past all intelligence checks with the bonus alone if you have 4 or more intelligence really good
And, at 100 Survival, it's +6 Intelligence, which is crazy (also, in a 1 INT run at 100 Survival, coffee and mentats could put you over most INT checks, which is wild!)
Similarly, with 4 Int and minimal investment into Survival, one could reduce Int to 1 temporarily and recruit Arcade Gannon WAAAY early
Large Wasteland Tequila
Wait does increasing survival buff stats of alcohol as well? I swear it used to only give +1 str and +1 cha but eventually it gave +2 ste and 2 cha and idk why
With the IStewieAI's tweaks mod, it has an option to only allow fast travel if you have a nuka cola victory or quartz in your inventory and it consumes it. This one change made the game MUCH more immersive and makes them so exciting to find. Just wanted to mention it here
Once again the Sunset Sarsaparilla reigns supreme. I like to keep a dozen on me for the reasons you mentioned.
I love them for the early game. They are so useful.
Probably needed to mention what drinks are affected by "Old World Gourmet" perk, that adds healing to them.
Scotch, Irradiated Scotch, Jake Juice, Vodka, Wine. +2(10s) HP.
Yeah that does help with that too.
Too bad it's a solid D-tier perk to begin with. Only reason to take it would be to synergize a tiny bit with Chemist and Day Tripper perks. And at that, it's a perk only worth taking if you 'double up' on it after leaving Goodsprings.
Your best idea is to level once before leaving Goodsprings, take the perk, leave Goodsprings, rebuild your character, and Viola! You now have this D-tier OWB perk (that would have been better replaced with Light Touch) AND another lv2 perk of your choosing, stacked.
@@brettb9222imo it doesn’t suck, I tend to drink alcohols a lot for the strength anyways so it’s just some free health and if you don’t feel like using light armor it’s basically the only other half decent perk you can get for free before rebuilding

You forgot the trusty Vault 13 Canteen
Sort of, that would be an easy S tier.
Moonshine stacks with other alcohols and is NOT affected by the Survival skill. I would bump it up a tier for that fact alone. It allows you to drink a beer, then double the alcohol effect.
Something to note with Scotch, Wine, and Vodka is that they give health over 10 sec. with Old World Gourmet. +6HP(10s) with high survival.
With how little I ever use the game's beverages and food even in hardcore, I'm going to play a "raging alcoholic" playthrough where chronic drunkenness is mandatory and healing can only be done through bevvies or food
Whiskeys great if you have Cass as a companion. She owns with shotgun indoors, i remember her beautifully sneak killing a protecron upon entering Sunset Sarsaparilla HQ, she blew off it's entire front section to the head with her caravan shotty lol

For real! I'm gonna be sad af when there's no more tier lists to make. Watching these actually inspired me to play through FNV again for the first time since 2015 and I'm going back to FO3 when I'm done. Thanks Ron!

Man I bet you absolutely wiped the floor with the Legate in no time! I know how strong my dad gets after just 12 beers, I could only imagine what 42 would be like!
An average person needs just 49 litres of beer every 24 hours to fill the necessary daily calcium intake - healthy nutrition is so easy

Fallout new vegas npc tier list, yes every single one
12:53 The nice thing about them is that Sunset Sass heals allot for the price, you can get 5 or even 6 of them for roughly the same price as a single stim. This is great for early game when you haven't invested invested that many points in either barter or medicine (the point where stim are still a bit costly and you don't have that many caps to spend).
Maybe do a special weapons tier list? There’s many fun options to choose from I think :)

I like beer alot, early game id put it in S tier for being the most common, cheapest, and lowest addiction rates. Also you can sell the other alcohol thats worth more to make caps and just carry beer. Its also near the very top of the inventory alphabetically.
Also for Nuka Cola Quantum it has one time chance of appearing in Lonesome road in a single crate, making it a unique chance item
Nuka Cola Quantum with Nuka Chemist perk is actually a great drink when you install mods fixing the night, making it really dark. Sometimes, you are halfway through the quest or area, and it's getting dark really fast (especially terrifying when some hostile creatures are nearby) and here the drinks really shines. Also, in some dimly lighted areas, it's convenient since pipboy doesn't shine really far. Cateye can be helpful there as well, but it's way rarer in comparison
Personally, I would put Scotch, Vodka and Wine into B tier but that's only because of the free perk glitch with the Dead Money dlc.
Giving a little extra healing ontop of the stat buffs for essentially free is pretty nice. Especially with Logan's Loophole and/or Chemist.
quantum is like a extremely rare find in lonesome road from knowledge its like only 1 you will find in lonesome road.
Been binge watching your tier list videos on New Vegas since they showed up in my recommended, it has been really entertaining to watch them and actually made me decide to replay New Vegas again after years of having it uninstalled in my Steam library. I've had a blast so far trying different builds, with some new mods I haven't tried out before. Very refreshing experience for sure.
Also just wanted to ask if you have any plans on making a tier list on the unarmed weapons? If you haven't already made one that is. Anyway, keep up with the good work!

Survival also boosts the sleep and resistances of Atomic Coctail
I am rocking +73% Ener/Fire Resist at 97 Survival from it, which makes it hard carry against the brotherhood lul (this is ignoring how at high survival it is up to like -300 sleep)
You ever think about doing comparions with Tales of Two Wastelands, or do you think that would be too niche?
Would love to see comparisons between guns like Eugene and the CZ, or Wazer Wifle and AER as examples.
BE ADVISED you can turn nuke a cola quartz in to a NUKE grenade requires the (mad bomber) perk to do.
Where the Large Wasteland Tequila really shines is its ability to LOWER Intelligence.
Every stat that he mentioned each item giving is affected by the Survival skill, meaning that with enough Survival, you can situationally reduce your Intelligence from 10 to 1 with other chems.
Perfect for recruiting Arcade Gannon early without creating your character with 1 Intelligence; far easier to leave it where you like it then temporarily lower it for that event. Also far easier than burning 80 skill points on Speech.
Will you do unarmed tier list?

Whiskey, normal and large wasteland tequila get a huge boost if you have Cass as a companion, think its +3 DT, might be more
Watching your video finally made me realise, how to complete The Whole Sad Story challenge (pass a low (3) intelligence check with dog) if your permanent INT is 9. Is fairly simple really. You just need to:
Critical dehydration: -2 INT
Adv. Sleep Deprivation: -1 INT
MED-X addiction: -1 INT
Mentats addiction: -1 INT
Any alcohol: -1 INT
With all of this we easily go down to 3 from 9. Thankfully, MED-X, Mentats and Alcohol are plentiful in sierra madre villa
Most food and drinks can become up to 3 times better depending on your survival skill (with some exceptions)
Absinthe, Survival 100, and both types of Mentats plus a hat will pass all Perception checks, even if it's 2 (because you used it as a dump stat). Survival 100 also boosts Atomic Cocktail to 75% Fire and Energy resistance...😮😮😮
Nuka quartz is S-tier for me, but all I use it for is grenades
I believe nuka cola quantum is a unique item in lonesome road and its not even guaranteed that youll get it unless you abuse saves to get it, with that being the case its probably better to save it instead of drinking it even on hardcore
There is one quantom in the game, and its a bug, its not technically supposed to show up in the loot pool but it does in a dumpster
You can see why Phil, the Nuka-Cola dude don't like his job by drink ranking on this list.

1:19 hard to find a bed to sleep? I have 2 houses: Novac and The Sink and you can instantly transport to one of these!

It’s quite the contrast compared to the surplus amount found in Nuka World
Fur those who don’t know, apparently there’s a CHANCE for a single bottle of Nuka Cola Quantum to spawn in a specific crate in The Divide. I’m not sure exactly where this crate is, but the wiki has info on it. It’s not even a guaranteed spawn, so it’s entirely likely that one wouldn’t get a single bottle of Quantum in their save.
It spawns in a dumpster behind the service station at the bottom of the path when you first enter Hopeville. I think there’s like a 20-25% chance of it spawning.
