Throughout the video, we'll showcase thrilling gameplay footage and provide expert commentary on each weapon's strengths and weaknesses. If you've ever wondered which blunt weapon is the most satisfying to use or which one will send your enemies flying into the horizon, this is the video for you! - Ігри
War club is pure cheese once you have the swing speed mod, slayer and melee hacker rank 2. It swings so fast that it almost always activates super slam instantly once you've closed the distance and will stun lock everything in the game with repeated super slam activations. Since everything will be on its back 100% of the time, the rest of the stats don't matter much.
Edit: There are faster swinging weapons but the war club power move is one of a kind because once the swing speed is high enough the animation for the power move is so fast that you essentially have the ability to instantly teleport forward like 5 feet and this move does 125% dmg. You can spam this and close the gap quicker than any melee weapon in the game, your high swing speed will activate super slam instantly and then you just swing until it's dead.
Dont forget rushing water! Become the speeeeeeed
Came here to comment this. Thanks for explaining it so well!
Also if you upgrade it enough, your forward power attack moves you so fast you can pop up into the air if you use it into stairs or up a slope, and get you into odd places
@@aprinnyonbreak1290 apparently spamming the power attack is also faster than running at that point
War club is S tier easy. With a melee build there's no better weapon to take to quarry junction
_It's difficult to find comfort within the Mojave Wasteland. Beating a Leigonaire to death with a Baseball Bat is one of them._
So, from now on, Pointy Edgey lists.
Or jibby-jabby lists? 😂
Nah, flip 180. _Rankings of Decapitation Implements._
Slicey-dicey
Slashy-stabby?
The cattle Prod was meant as a non-leathal weapon, but that entire system is horribly underdeveloped. Enemies get back up way too fast, you can't loot or disarm them and it's only used in one quest, where it doesn't even work because of a glitch.
Yeah I wish that was a bit better.
@@ReapeeRon Imagine how cool it would be if you could loot people after knocking them down or handcuff them. Maybe you would get different results for quests if you incapitate targets instead of killing them like getting a higher bounty for bringing the Fiend leaders alife. Or you could subdue hostiles for roleplaying reasons like a pacifist run. Or just loot NPCs clothing and have them run around naked.
Sadly, as it stands, the Cattle Prod is only useful as a very weak leathal weapon or to knock enemies off a cliff (which surprisingly is a somewhat effective way to subdue them without killing them).
@@robertwildschwein7207they should have added a lasso. I mean, it’s quite literally the Wild West. I’m sure there’s a mod and if there’s not, there should be lmao
@@joolsmacgrools1288 YES SO MUCH YES
@@robertwildschwein7207 interestingly skyrim gives you guaranteed chance to steal from paralysed npc's, so i guess someone agrees with you.
My man is CRANKING out these tier lists. Keep it up! Great stuff!
Thanks! Will do!
@@ReapeeRon seriously can you keep doing these for all the fallout games? I literally can’t get enough lmao.
When I played New Vegas for the first time I found Oh Baby by chance while exploring and it has been one of my favorite melee weapons ever since, however my favorite melee weapon will always be Knock Knock.
"by chance"? you mean you found THAT cave while not on a quest from jacobstown?
@@blade6965yeah, that seems to be what they're saying. Don't think it's all that crazy.
@@blade6965 Yes by chance, i usually start exploring when i start a fallout game and i just ended up there.
@@MorglortheManglerit doesn’t spawn until you do the quest?
@@cash_man4473It does?
I gotta say Warclub should be ranked the best. With weapon attack speed giving you more crit and knock down chances, plus the ability to close the gap with spamming power attack, it just outranks all the others.
not to mention its great for getting around. could probably use power armor and move fast.
Agreed. I like the lists, but they rely a little too much on the wiki and not enough on actual use. With full melee perks and high strength, the War club delivers massive hits at a machine gun rate.
It's time to go ooga booga with the war club
Fuck that katana does the same thing except is even better
@noobgun12 This list is for BONK weapons, bud. Not HOKEY POKEY weapons.
I agree that Katana is slightly better, but only because of the double crit chance and double limb damage.
The extra 0.35 hits per second don't really make a difference in dps when the war club can do more damage (it can use the cowboy perk) and keep enemies perpetually staggered since it BONK.
In 95% of my playthroughs, I carry a bat with me. Even if you don't invest into melee weapons it's nice to have one for bugs and stuff like that. Plus the nailed bat is just cool.
I feel like the range on the bad is kind of disappointing. Somehow the lead pipe and tire iron have more range even though they are shorter. Going to be baseball bat after those two is not a good feeling
@@teddylyon1189the lead pipe is certainly a better option than the tire iron but a modded baseball bat is probably better than both. I wouldn’t look past the lead pipe, though. It’s actually quite good even into the mid game. It does seem to have an extended range, from what I can tell. Something even the unique variant doesn’t have.
Lead pipe is really slept on.
First melee build I ever did, that stupid piece of scrap carried me all the way to freeside before it fell off.
Now, everytime I find one, I keep it in my inventory as a backup.
I personally really like the dress cane. People just seem to pop a lot into meat confetti more frequently when I use it
Makes them easier to eat.
Dressing Cane became my favorite melee weapon when I made a "The Gentleman" build.
You should do a New Vegas Campfire Recipes Tier List.
Thanks that sounds like a fun Idea.
Boatfly slider is great considering the ease or getting the ingredients.
Healing poultice, easy S tier so long as you think to plunder Zion for all of its cave fungus. It does respawn as well, which is nice.
Absolutely true. You almost need a semi truck to haul out the fungus. You can get overnight with it if you ain't careful
The thing about Nephi's driver and even the regular 9 iron that makes them good is the special attack that you can perform in VATS with 50 melee, and even without sufficient skill you can perform it outside of VATS by charging forward and holding the attack button. It also tends to knock enemies down, which is super useful.
That is true.
Agreed. Imo, the 9 iron special attack that guarantees a knockdown makes it s-tier. This combined super slam makes short work of even alpha deathclaws without taking a single scratch.
I wish power armor gave you a default 30-50 + damage to unarmed attacks
>9 Iron breaks quickly
as someone who's actually tried to hit things that aren't golf balls with one, that checks out. Also Nephi's Golf Driver isn't a driver club. Drivers have much beefier, rounder heads, since they're intended to, well, drive (AKA get huge distance).
Now watch this drive!
It's kind of odd that in the pip-boy icon for Nephi's Golf Driver vault boy _is_ holding a driver, but the actual physical club is a putter.
Putter Nephi isn't as intimidating as a raider name.
I would have liked to see a mention of the 9 iron and Nephi's golf club's unique ability to always knock down enemies with their special attack. You can basically 1v1 anything in the game by stunlocking with it, so might be worth a reevaluation. Granted, super slam can do basically the same thing, and the golf club might break before you hack through that deathclaw, but hey, its there. I use the 9 iron to take out the giant radscorpions outside goodsprings for some easy early xp
Same fit is achievable with a shovel, but you want shovel anyway since you can dig graves with it.
super sledge is by all means S tier, not as great as oh baby but once you get super slam and piercing strike you cant tell the difference. mix it with slayer and a regular dose of rushing water and you can clear quarry junction without any trouble! other than that i agree completely, keep up the great videos!! :)
Fair enough
One thing about Nuka breaker which you forgot to mention. Everytime when it crits, it causes electrical Damage over time on targets. It's hella fun of a weapon, and it's my favourite melee weapon in the entire game. EDIT: Also fun fact, Old Glory is a unique pool cue, meaning that i can be repaired with ordinary pool cues.
In addition Old Glory has unique attack in VATS "Grand Slam" which deals 2x damage (actually 4x because melee weapons deal 2x damage in VATS as a baseline), which makes it by far the strongest melee weapon for VATS. If done from sneak it kills everything in the game except Giant Roboscorpion and Legendary boatfly from OWB dlc.
Nice video, you should do more in depth lists like this in the future
God I love New Vegas so much
Nuka breaker is such a fine concept and it's actually so funny to use. Caps are not a big problem in any fallout game, so It's worth using.
But yeah, it's harder to get than oh baby
Thank you for letting us know about the other vid being demonetized I had no idea it came out
rebar club is certainly A for me i got it so early and it 1 shot everything for a very long time
Can't wait for the unarmed tier list (if you haven't done it already). Lowkey one the best and overpowered builds with the right perks/weapons.
Coming soon!
Another great video dude.
I look forward to more of your 'Acute (90° or less) implements of damage infliction' and 'Obtuse (90°+) impements of foe-removal' in the future! 😂
Dang YT...
Thanks, will do!
One thing not mentioned is that the golf clubs have a VATS attack that can guarantee knock over an opponent. It means that one-on-one you could use the golf clubs and knocked an opponent down switch over to another weapon whale on them that when they get up Switchback use the attack again and then keep it down. It's good if you got a face one single high-level enemy don't know how that comes out but it's a consideration.
Crit damage on 0x crit% like the nail board is for sneak attacks.
The lead pipe is solid as hell; the range is not to be underestimated.
Yeah Lead pipe is pretty solid early on.
How the goddamn hell does it have better range than a baseball bat? Or does the bat just have bad range?
@@teddylyon1189it’s coded that way. I saw something about the reaches of various melee weapons and the lead pipe is sky high compared to most others for some reason.
I ran and got Oh, Baby! Early one run and it was fantastic. If New Vegas worked right on my Windows 10 computer I'd he tempted to do another melee run after watching this video.
X-2 is S Tier purely for the Bonk noise it makes when it hits
The 9 Iron and Nephi's Golf Driver let you get the "A Slave Obeys" achievement when you kill Mr. House with either of them. Any BioShock reference=automatic A Tier for me :D
AH yes the lead pipe, also known as the anti vulpes weapon. (after taking a bunch of drugs.)
I live how in all of the background gameplay footage in all of your tier list videos is just you going around killing everything like an absolute psycho.
Also, if you grew your hair out, you'd look a bit like Spoony.
Nuka Breaker is S tier imo
I slaughtered the legion with it with only 30 ish melee weapons skill
I don't like how UA-cam will randomly attack people's videos but great vid man. Personally I love the Nuka breaker for how unique it is
With as fast as you can swing the war club and get crits, I’m honestly upset it’s not S tier tbh. It’s far better than a super sledge
War club is cheap to repair compared to other comparable melee weapons like chances knife or Bowie knife
I think you are undervalueing warclub. Imo its comperable with oh baby
The humble cudgle has a unique vats attack that does a great amount of damage
I'm pretty sure it's called "Lights out!"
That's my favorite! Big bonk to the head!
do a unique weapon tier list man, basing the ranking vs the weapon its modeled after
B O N K B O N K
All the Bonk
I would've put the baseball bat up into a-tier because of the number of perks that increase your damage with it if you're doing a dedicated melee build but if you're not intending to then yea I can agree with your ranking on it
dang it Ron! I just kick the addiction of playing new Vegas for the 20th times 😩
The shovel should be S Tier, because you needed to get Chance’s Knife.
Also, he didn’t mention the challenge that is linked to the nine iron
That is fair, and I did forget about the Bioshock Challenge
the way dmg and perk stacking works with strength and melee weapons, i'd say old glory is the better wapon (requirements are sper low too for a weapon like this, you dont even need to focus melee to get full use, but at the end of the endgame DLC lol) unless you use VATS, then Oh BABY is (because of the double dmg in VATS)
As someone who loves using melee weapons in Fallout New Vegas weirdly enough the nail board is one of my favourites?
Is it good? Not really.
Is it in any way practical? Absolutely not.
It is fun as fuck to smack a guy in the face with a goddamn 2x4. Absolutely.
I think it’s a shame that police batons are so weak in the fallout games because if you’ve ever handled one, you’d know why they should do a whole lot more damage. That weighted tip is no joke.
That might be true, I haven't held one. Then again something like a sledge hammer should be way higher damage too, also probably a lot slower to swing.
Can't wait for your unarmed weapons list.
Yeah, Oh Baby! is just insane with Slayer, Ain't Like That Now, Piercing Strike, Super Slam and a hit of Rushing Water lmao 😂
Also poor X-2 Antenna is really just inferior to the Protonic Inversal Axe but a lot sillier I guess.
I always put Nuka Breaker, Old Glory, and Oh Baby in the S tier.
I think you really undersell the Nuka Breaker here, at least when playing with an optimized crit build. Having played around with melee builds pretty extensively in New Vegas, I can say that it easily rivals Old Glory thanks to its significantly higher crit modifier, and the bonus electrical damage proc helps to close the crit damage gap between the two weapons. You end up doing marginally less crit damage -- around 20 or so less damage against unarmored targets versus Old Glory on my current character -- but you gain more critical hits to compensate, and the higher your crit chance, the better Nuka Breaker will be versus its competition. I also don't really think Oh, Baby should be S tier -- it's good, but a crit-focused build with either Nuka Breaker or Old Glory will wipe the floor with it once your crit build starts getting fleshed out by level 16 or so.
It's absolute madness that you ranked it in the same tier as the baseball bat, haha. xD
Axes are a good middle ground Between blade and blunt
The Cattle prod is an S+ tier weapon.
Whenever I play Melee I have to actively avoid upgrading the War Club because it trivializes whatever is left of the game when I get it. S Tier easily.
Would you consider doing a list or 2 mentioning mods or cut content?
I kind of wish there were energy melee weapons keyed off energy skill instead of melee. Minor, minor quibble.
That would be very cool the proton axes would fit that really well.
Is no one gonna talk about the Fiend at 17:13 that casually ignores 8 swings of a Sledgehammer before getting knocked into the ground
The Shovel goes to A tier. Just for the utility of digging graves
That is fair to say.
I say the shovel is s tier because of utility and the ability to get the chances knife.
Please post the 10 drillers build already, I am desperately waiting for it
Totally missed opportunity for an achievement with the rolling pin:
Doughboy - 15gs
Kill 20 NCR troopers with the rolling pin.
all hail reapee ron, as a person who thinks fnv is the best video game ever, he has the best takes about everything
i always loved the war club's look. I really want to do a tribal run but I don't know what that would be. War club, Maybe the bear paw, spears and . . . I guess that is it? Short of using that bow mod. I do love the club's look though
I do love the looks of the War Club it has always been a favorite of mine.
Poisons too, they can be applied to thrown melee weapons.
If RPing as specifically dead horses (they are the ones who use the club) you can use the .45, as follows chalk uses one as his ranged weapon.
it's really easy to steal driver nephi's iron.
just kill him first.
That does make sense.
[SCOUT INTENSIFIES]
The best part about the pool cue is that it can be repaired with throwing spears which means easy 100% super sledges and thermal lances 😂
That is an even better point.
Extremely high tech super advanced plasma weapon with very complicated electronics and it's own internal power supply
Can be repaired completely with a pool cue
curmudgeon is nice looking tbh
5:10 can't believe you upset Simon, What he ever do to you?
Probably for what they want to do to Cass
Nephi's Driver is the best weapon in the game as it's wielded by the guy with the best two word quote in the entire game. B Tier is such a disservice.
just started an unarmed run, can we get an unarmed tier list? 😭
Unarmed gets funny
Because no weapon is a pretty good late game option, the boxing gloves/tape have funny niche applications for ragdolling things, the displacer gauntlet and shotgun gauntlet (?) iirc take ammo and have range, the deathclaw hand messes up armor, buzz saw fist interacts with a few perks funnily iirc, and the laboratory glove is just goofy
@@aprinnyonbreak1290the displacer gauntlet and ballistic fist do not use ammo. They were intended to (hence why the displacer glove appears to have a small energy cell inside), but due to engine limitations they had to make them ammoless like other unarmed and melee weapons.
@@thewanderers97
Really?
My memory is injecting that they needed them.
My memory is funny :3
Ooh baby
9 Iron is one of my favorites
Awesome!
Drover Nephi was originally supposed to be interactable
Pool Cue's one job is killing Benny in his suite.
Thank you UA-cam for protecting my virgin ears from hearing words such as blunt and bludgeoning as I watch footage of livestock being exploded by a baseball bat 🤦♂️
The BEST use of the baseball bat is if you plan on a melee build that wants to use a one-handed melee weapon, you'll still want Melee Hacker which will need 10k damage from both handeds of weapons. The baseball bat is a solid early choice to wail on animals and gangers to reach that threshold to get that out of the way and let you get to using your primary sooner.
I think bonk weapons should become a real category 😂😂😂
Beating a deathclaw to death with a rolling pin is funny as shit, sole reason I put it above D-tier.
cant wait for unarmed list
D-First, C-islight better first ,B- Good first ,A- Very better first
showing people's heads exploding and using vocabulary like "kill" just a minute in might get you demonetized as well.
Would you rather he said the raider "went to live on a farm to frolic with the other raiders, but the farm has no phones?"
😂

What about the GRA katana?
That is in the Bladed Tier list that got age restricted
That's shiddy dude 😬
how dare you, the lead pipe is easy high A or low S tier as the weapon has more range and does insane dmg to limbs (for some reason it does more dmg than it should), you can easily kite all human enemies with it and take 0 dmg as this thing range is nuts

Cudgel is low A tier, no way it's lower than the war club

That is on the other melee weapon tier list.
If you don't know, unless it has changed recently, any decapitation or gorier stuff is a reason things can be demonitized.
Honestly I think its the word weapons not blades
I don't think so because all of my other melee weapon video are fine. It was only the Bladed video that got the ax.
Man, I'm sorry for your video getting demonetize. UA-cam really sucks.
Didn't Like this for not showing us what each weapon looked like when upgraded.
Fallout fans please try to stop stabbing each other, else youtube might demonetize another video 🙅
To this day I don't understand why people like Jury Rigging so much. Completing Dead Money provides you with infinite weapon repair kits, and it's perfectly fine to pay for armor repair every once in a while, especially since weapons you loot from enemies are so expensive you'll never run out of money. So it's a perk which does basically nothing, but takes up a perk slot, which could be instead used for perfectly good Demolition expert or Toughness.
It's just convenience. Even on VH hardcore, New Vegas isn't so difficult you need to min-max your perk choices
First yo
