Hi Claudia Correia! The best way to do it is to shake up the jars before you go to bed so all the flavours meld together. When you wake up, you can eat it cold, right out of the fridge or what it up in the microwave. ENJOY!

I really dislike the gel-like consistency of soaked chia seeds, but love their crunch factor over yogurt dishes, so I would top off one of these with the chia seeds in the morning....anyway you get them in, right? lol!

YT4Me57 but for nutritional benefits you should soak the chia seeds (same goes for the oats)

Fahrida Koller-Zeilinger Maybe so, but I'm not likely to get any nutritional value from them if I don't eat them. :-)

When I first heard about overnight oats... My first thought was, eating cold porridge how yuk😝... But I gave it a go and love it,
I used what I had in my cupboard, oats, milk, Greek yogurt, added some chopped up mango, honey,
in the morning I sliced up a bananas to top it off, it was delicious, I will be definitely trying your recipes, thanks very much for sharing xx

Just heat all of it up. Jams and porridges are cooked fruits anyway, so they won't be damaged from that. My mom uses fresh apple cubes when she cooks oatmeal in the morning, so microwaving them instead would be just as fine.

i agree. for nutritional value flax seed has to be ground up and the clock starts ticking on its nutritional value. flax taste better than chia.
chia has 5 yr shelf life.
      doesn't have to be ground
      has no taste
      more fiber than flax
      more anti oxidants than blueberries
      more omega 3 than salmon

As long as the milk holds really, it will get super mushy and gross after a couple of days. If you DID want to make it a few days ahead of time then bake the oats like granola beforehand. this will make them stay solid for longer.

I made these (the last three) have to say my favourite was the mango coconut one! They lasted pretty well the first two days, but the ones I had after the first two days, changed the texture and taste of them. Also it's a little difficult to warm it up because the fruits warmed up, change the texture of it all. I would recommend eating it the day of, or within the first two days.

If you add nuts for crunch, why do you add them with the wet ingredientes to soak overnight ? They should be added as a topping.
Almond milk can be substituted by soy ,or coconut milk,or by plain milk if you can eat dairy.
Soy yogurt can also be used as s substitute for Greek yogurt.
I mix the oatmeal with the milk and the yogurt, add spices ( cinammon, nutmeg and a touch of cloves ) and sweetener ( honey or brown sugar)leave it on the fridge overnight and the next day I add the toppings, nuts, seeds, and fruit.
    Yummy,yummy,yummy.

On average a mixed jar can last of 2-4 days so i wouldn't make too many at a time or maybe to make it easy on you have ecerything prepped(Your toppings cut) prepare the jars with the oats and seeds/dry spices and then a day or two before put in the wet ingredient in. It's what i do :)
