Interesting comment considering BMW is ranked 3rd in reliability behind directly Toyota & Lexus. Modern BMWs are dominating segments while maintaining reliability.

@chinito_bebe8948 that isn't true with newer BMWs, I have an M8 and a 330i and neither of them give me any problems. As a matter of fact if you look moat reliable brands BMWs are actually above industry standard and higher than brands you would think would be more reliable.
@@waynedeason213 got few cars in my mind but not ready to give up my C8 tho.
Everyone that is complaining about the LC being slow doesn't appreciate a truly great car. They just want numbers. If I wanted to sit in cheaply made interiors with cheap horsepower I'd go with the hellcat. However, you see a hellcat at every corner. The LC is RARE AF. You don't see too many of them. I got mine wrapped really nicely to represent my business. Its beautiful car that breaks necks everywhere it goes. I used to think being the fastest was all that made a car great. The LC taught me what a truly great car is. A truly great car is the one you like and have the most fun driving and owning. I got kicked out of a Mopar group cause when I showed up the whole crowd forgot about the hellcats and the LC became the center of attention.
Owner of the LC500 in this video, good friend of Sam. :) By reading these comments, I’m certainly pleasant with most of everyone’s sentiment towards the LC 500.
Most of you are on point; aesthetics will always be subjective but I personally believe the LC the best looking out of the three and if anything, one of the best looking GT Coupes on the road. The presence the LC is a testimonial in itself; I’ve probably received over thousands of reactions in forms of head turns, neck breaks, people pointing, taking photos/videos, and people screaming how much they love the car; the list is honestly endless. Does it receive as much attention as my friend’s McLaren? No, but it definitely stands out in traffic.
As most of y’all mentioned, reliability. It’s going to be around for awhile and I plan on driving it a lot during my Summers, I don’t expect it to break down and if it does it will be more affordable than German cars. I was looking at the Audi R8 v8, AMG GTS, Jaguar F-Type SVR; ironically the LC was last on my list but it won my heart and will be reliable amongst these 4. The only thing that’s been expensive is the gas, tires, it’s the usual things.
Exhaust note? It’s arguably one one of the best sounding exhaust notes. Friend’s with AMGs, Porches, and super cars are always surprised with the LC and how beastly it is overall and of course the sound. I cannot stop downshifting because of how beautifully orchestrated it sounds, anytime I drive through downtown Toronto and I downshift; everyone’s heads turn because they just know something beautiful is nearby. The exhaust itself receives quite the compliment by strangers nearby.
Handling? It’s a GT, it’s not a track car but it does decent. I’ve driven plenty of performance cars, and one of my favourites is the Alfa Romeo 4C, which is a track beast. Lexus Canada officially invited me to their high performance driving school and I got to really test the limits of the LC, unsurprisingly it did really well for being a heavy GT, but it’s made for long road trips across the country.
Interior? Holy shit, that peanut butter brown. I don’t even like brown interiors but the LC’s is something SPECIAL. I even have strangers poking their heads in at stops or red lights because their so fascinated. Any of my passengers are always in love just sitting inside with the alcantara, high quality and premium parts everywhere.
Now for the controversial perspective, the speed. Personally, I’ve driven and even have the options to own/drive much more faster cars, do I really care? Not really. I changed my mindset of the LC, it’s one of the best looking and reliable GT cruisers; it’s not tying to be the fastest on the road; despite it sounding it like it does it’s plenty of speed for the streets. You would pick up another toy if you wanted something more focused on speed. Going into this race most of us knew what the results were most likely going to be, let me say this, the LC is a car you really don’t mind getting gapped in.
The number one purchasing factor in a car for me is not the speed, reliability, or even the interior; it’s the rarity and aesthetics. The LC is extremely uncommon and many people are always questioning what it is; people even confuse it for the LFA at times. The fact that you’ll see a McLaren, Lambo, or any German car more frequently than the LC makes it exclusive.
Overall, I’m very happy that the sentiment and expectation of the LC has changed over the years and I’m extremely blessed to own one of the last reliable v8, I think of it as an investment. It’s also become many people’s, “obtainable dream car” and I’m more than happy with the experience of it it so far. I’m already looking into my next toy, which will definitely not be as comfortable, reliable, but faster. The LC is the perfect GT Coupe daily with reliability, one of the best interiors; and the list goes on. It doesn’t live without the faults but they will not override the special experience of owning and driving one.
A man with taste
"The LC is a car you really don't mind being gapped in."
Precisely. And I'm sure it doesn't happen frequently either.
Why is that a guy in the comments has to properly elaborate what the Lexus represents instead of shitting on the brand and car any chance he gets like person in these videos. This is a proper response and wish the dude making these videos had even the slightest idea of this concept.

Lol...This guy lost all credibility in this review when he said the transmission in the Challenger is outdated. How does he not know that both the M840i and the Hellcat use the ZF 8HP Automatic transmission? Also, I understand that the BMW got the jump off the line because of the awd, but a competent driver behind the wheel of that hellcat should have taken both cars on the 1/4 mile. Something about this race is a little suspect...
This about it dude. Nothing but amateurs going in a straight line. This guy had to go go out of his way to buy some boring ass modern awd cars cause he wasn’t able to make anything happen with RWD cars 😂

There’s no way that was an honest and proper start. No.. way..
Stock tires on a hellcat are kind of a joke - my brother's spins for 3 gears before getting good traction. The 850 is All wheel drive, huge advantage here. The last race was more realistic maybe.
All hellcats lag significantly off the line unless they are prepped properly and have racing tires lol, AWD will always beat RWD off the line, specially when the tires are fighting against over 700hp

The lc500 is still the best in my opinion. To me it wasn't a fair race. You have 2 rwd and 1 awd. Then you have ttv8, supercharged v8 and n/a v8

Just goes to show, driver mod and tires go a long way. I destroy hellcats from the stop light because they never got rid of their pzeros haha
This is what I tell everyone. I run 315 r2s on the rear on 11 inch wide rims. Hellcats are absolutely useless on stock tires that everyone races them with. I've raced so many hellcats are relights that get left as if they're in a R/T and not a hellcat. These cars are not slow at all. But they need proper tires so they don't spin until 70mph
@@MLProductions.1 Nothing but the truth. Even the srt jeeps and trackhawks are always in for a shock. These cars definitely deserve a proper tire before trying to prove anything to anyone

As a former LC500 owner (as well as a 2012 300 SRT several yrs ago) I can tell you the 392 would still pull on the LC. The 470 lb-ft of torque on the 392 is much more manageable. The LC is nearly as heavy at 4,400 lbs but only has 398 lb-ft of torque. It glides gracefully but doesn't pull hard. It was a great car. Always got looks. My only hangup was the performance and two particular exterior plastic pieces Lexus cheaped out on at the rear. LC owners know what I'm talking about. Mine was a '19'.
