Wi-Fi 6E: It is a newer standard that was introduced in 2020. While it offers additional benefits, device support for Wi-Fi 6E is still relatively limited, and it may take some time before it becomes widely adopted. In summary, Wi-Fi 6E builds upon the foundation of Wi-Fi 6 by adding support for the 6 GHz band. This additional spectrum provides more available channels, less interference, and potentially better performance. However, due to its recent introduction, Wi-Fi 6E device support is still limited compared to Wi-Fi 6. It's worth noting that both standards represent significant improvements over older Wi-Fi versions and can provide faster, more reliable wireless connections.
I currently have a ASUS PRIME B450M-A motherboard with a Ryzen 5 2600 - Is this board going to be a viable upgrade ? And would I need jump to a Ryzen 7 ?
You could always jump to ryzen 7 if you wanted but you absolutely don’t need to. The socket of this motherboard is am4 so I would recommend a Ryzen 5 5600x or a Ryzen 7 5800x3d. Both have similar benchmarks when it comes to gaming. But the boost clock on the x3d performs a little better allowing you a difference of about 10-20 average frames compared to the overclocked 5600x.

Returning PC builder here (from 4th gen Intel). I only play esport titles. Should I go for this and pair it with a Ryzen 7 5800x3d? or Go for an AM5 B650-E with Ryzen 5 7600? Price of both builds are almost the same. Awesome review! Thanks!!
Don't go with the B650 or AM5 build right now without knowing the risks, there are problems with asus am5 mobos and apparently not only Asus, where the processors are being damaged.
Yes a certain model of Asus AM5 boards were overclocking cpu’s without users knowing and frying them causing smoke/fires in some builds. Stick with 5800x3d/am4. It’s the cheaper, more reliable platform at the moment. Plus the benefits you’d get from going next gen isn’t worth the extra $ you’d have to spend. I was in the same boat earlier this year, and decided to build a 5800x3d with this asus mobo/7900xt. The 58x3d is by far the best cpu for am4 if your only gaming. If you do other workload related stuff i’d go for the 5900/950x. My advice would be to build an am4 system, and wait for next gen to come around. imo, this recent gen was like the “first try” of the new generation, next generation will be more refined for both cpu/gpu’s i feel. If you’re still in the build process, amazon currently sells the Red Devil 7900xtx for $989.00. (that’s as much as I bought my powercolor hellhound 7900xt at the time i purchased 😢) But it is what it is I have to settle with the 79xt till next gen lol
@@ADJ161996 Definitely a difference, but mainly for CPU performance since you can take advantage of the better x3d chips. But is it worth the extra amount of $? That’s really dependent on your wallet. If money isn’t an issue, by all means build an AM5 system. Id personally get the 7800x3d it’s an amazing chip. But if you’re on a budget then I feel AM4 has the better option and the performance gap between the 5800x3d and 7800x3d isn’t too crazy, but it IS there. For me, I wanted to keep my build under $2500 and with the money saved going am4/5800x3d i was able to put the saved money to a better gpu and psu. The gpu is where you’ll see most of your gaming fps come from anyways, and the 5800x3d will drive the 7900xt/xtx just fine. Speaking of which, I ended up breaking and ordered the MSI Gaming Trio 7900xtx last night 😆🤦♂️For $934USD I couldn’t resist. That’s cheaper than I bought the 79XT last year 💔 So now I’m trying to sell my Hellhound 79XT. Current market for it is $1000 on amazon, and high as $2000 on ebay. Makes no sense 🤷♂️ I posted it up for $900 obo tho

ive got a troubleshooting question with this motherboard. ive built my new pc and everything is plugged in and appears to be receiving power, all the fans turn on and all the rgb on my components turns on too. however the system fails to display any picture at all and the DRAM debug led is a constant yellow/orange. the motherboard is new and i’m using a 5800x3d cpu and the debug led for cpu does NOT turn on so it appears the cpu is working. ive already reseated, cleaned, and individually tested both of my corsair vengeance 2x16 3200mhz ram sticks but to no avail. i figured the motherboard would come with the most recent bios out of the box but perhaps i was wrong. i also know that the CPU and RAM both work bc they are from my old system that ran perfectly smoothly. any thoughts/assistance anyone could give me?
I am wondering if it needs a bios update. It's common they need to be updated to support all the CPUs. Other than that... Anyone else watching have any ideas?
i did get it fixed but my solution wont really help you im afraid. i took my pc into a repair guy and when he plugged it in it just booted right up, all he did was attatch a bios speaker and its worked perfectly ever since. id try updating bios, unplugging everything one by one and plugging it back in, reseating/cleaning your RAM and DIMM slots, and trying out some spare parts if you have any. wish i could help more bro but thats all i got@@JerryCapillary
also am getting this motherboard, does this really need to cmos update, i really hope not? because when i bought x5070 aorus master it just shows me black screen on display, i did everything and even cmos, still no luck.
Yes, this motherboard is compatible with Windows 11. I typically would pick the newest version of the bios as it's the most up-to-date and has the most recent fixes.

A better cpu means more $, but it’s definitely the next thing I’ll be doing to my pc so I figured I should share with ya since we’ve got like the same pc.
question, can the mobo connect to a wifi 6 router?
Yes it’s a little late but yes it is a wifi 6 mother bowrd
New to pc building.. I just built a pc with this motherboard but having some difficulty locating the USB c port, does this motherboard not have one? Or do I need an extender?
Did you find it?
No, after researching I realized this one just doesn’t have one 🤷🏽♀️
@@amelycastillo1019You should have bought the B550-E version if USB-C was a requirement.
Can you get away with not screwing the ssd down to this mother because the rubber pieces that’s supposed to hold it stable is to big and the screws are to small and it bends the ssd
I just screwed it in barely
In india The price of this board 1.(Asus Rog Strix B550-F Gaming Wi-Fi II) AM4 platform and 2.Asus Rog Strix B660-F Gaming Wi-Fi D4 LGA1700 is almost same (22k) in Indian Rupees.
Plz suggest me which one should i buy for my New PC

ASUS ROG STRIX B550 F GAMING WIFI II will be the ideal choice. B650 Chipset motherboards made by almost all companies are developing issues.
I don't think b650 chipsets support Ryzen 5000 series so you'd have to spend a lot more on a Ryzen 7000 series
Great motherboard…only gripe I have with it is that they don’t give you any m2 screws and standoffs even though it has two M.2 slots!
They do come with standoffs and screws

NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 4070 work with Asus ROG Strix B550-F Gaming WiFi II AMD AM4 (3rd Gen Ryzen) ATX Motherboard (PCIe 4.0,WiFi 6E, 2.5Gb LAN, BIOS Flashback, HDMI 2.1, Addressable Gen 2 RGB Header and Aura Sync)?
@@_N4VE_ Hello! Thanks for your input. Is the perf difference between ddr4 and ddr5 when it comes to gaming negligible?
Makes no sense 🤷♂️ I posted it up for $900 obo tho
hey guys, can i use intel arc a770 graphics card on this ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING board ? and also does this board have resizable bar?
yes
Is this motherboard compatible with the ryzen 5 4600g? I just wanna be sure because the information i got within the compatibility of this board with the cpu is pretty limited, and im unsure if i have to do a flash bios update first before i can install this processer to the motherboard.
Head on over to Asus website and search for the motherboard. There is a full list of compatible CPUs.
@@NorthernVikingEveryday Thank you! I appreciate your help and I got the answers now!
I need help, I have a 5800xd ASUS ROG Strix B550-F, I need bios version 2423, but it is no longer on the Asus website, the latest BIOS is 2604, and will the 5800x3d work with that last one?
you ever find out??
Bios version 2423 is the minimum requirement to run the 5800x3d on this mb, anything newer will work too!
I got this for an amazing deal for only $99.99 brand new
Awesome 👍
ive got a troubleshooting question with this motherboard. ive built my new pc and everything is plugged in and appears to be receiving power, all the fans turn on and all the rgb on my components turns on too. however the system fails to display any picture at all and the DRAM debug led is a constant yellow/orange. the motherboard is new and i’m using a 5800x3d cpu and the debug led for cpu does NOT turn on so it appears the cpu is working. ive already reseated, cleaned, and individually tested both of my corsair vengeance 2x16 3200mhz ram sticks but to no avail. i figured the motherboard would come with the most recent bios out of the box but perhaps i was wrong. i also know that the CPU and RAM both work bc they are from my old system that ran perfectly smoothly. any thoughts/assistance anyone could give me?
I am wondering if it needs a bios update. It's common they need to be updated to support all the CPUs. Other than that... Anyone else watching have any ideas?
@@NorthernVikingEveryday if it helps with a diagnosis, i forgot to mention that none of my other peripherals (keyboard and mouse) power on either
@@fettuccinitortellini5830 Did you figure out the issue? I'm having similar issue with my MSI motherboard.
i did get it fixed but my solution wont really help you im afraid. i took my pc into a repair guy and when he plugged it in it just booted right up, all he did was attatch a bios speaker and its worked perfectly ever since. id try updating bios, unplugging everything one by one and plugging it back in, reseating/cleaning your RAM and DIMM slots, and trying out some spare parts if you have any. wish i could help more bro but thats all i got@@JerryCapillary

Will it be possible to run Windows 11 on this mother board. Which Bios version should be installed?
Yes, this motherboard is compatible with Windows 11. I typically would pick the newest version of the bios as it's the most up-to-date and has the most recent fixes.
