I agree. The part that impacted me with the Protoss, was the first time I played In Utter Darkness, not knowing what to expect. The dialogue from all the hero characters, mounting an effective defense and thinking "I think I might be able to hold them off." Then it all goes to hell when I run out of minerals, everyone dies and the universe ends. I can only imagine how Zeratul and Jim felt seeing that vision and how real it was.

My god, it sounds like soundtrack for the very first starship to leave Sol into the unknown of the interstellar void. The most hazardous, and dangerous, and greatest adventure on which mankind has ever embarked.
for those looking for something similar to the intro. the only song i can think of is "The Promised Land" from the movie "Final Fantasy VIII Advent Children"
@driftingeric2k4 To be fair, psi emitters are basically just carrots on strings. It will get a zerg's attention, but you can't issue complicated commands with one. They used one for the mission to destroy the UED's Psi disruptor in order to get small groups of zerg to snap out of their stupor and answer to Kerrigan's control. That was the most complicated thing they ever did to control zerg behavior with psi emitters. The other times, the emitters were just used as bait, nothing more.
I didn't know there could be any rain on char... last time i checked there were no oceans on this planet.... but raynor's speech made it possible... I thought Chuck Norris was the only existing man who could accomplish that.
Just epic, even if the other tracks suck. But this fits perfect for the last stand on Char. I love the final battle to save Kerrigan, even if everybody else seems to be dead when the dust disappeared. She is worth it :-)
Oh and the funny thing is that Jablonsky had nothing to do at all with the SCII: WoL soundtrack. Which means that other people have managed to cook up such a spectacular homage to Arrival to Earth, even without Steve's help. Or am I wrong?
It does. It's kinda sad how new fans didn't know about it and shout down on 40K, saying that they stole the idea from Starcraft. In truth 40K inspired Starcraft, as well as many other scifi fluff out there. Though inspired, we can still appreciate what Starcraft has to offer.
well, i'd assume psi blades to work more like an electromagneticly contained circulation of plasma. the emitter spouts the superheated plasma at high velocity, the electromagnetic field contains and pulls the plasma back (as plasma is magnetically reactive) into the receptor that sends spent plasma through the superheating module then back through the emitter. kind of like a chainsaw, but using an electromagnetic field instead of a guide plate. that's my speculation anyways.
@Kulmataklaus Yes it was nice from Blizzard to honor their fallen colegue :P i didnt know first who he was when i played the game but now i know RIP M.Koiter its a damn shame you didnt live to see Starcraft 2

I honestly have to agree. played it through for the 3rd to me today and it still gives me goosebumps and brings a tear to my eye. I main protoss, but the grit of humanity is the best of all the races.
The fire and the fury is better than Halo 4 cut scene with Cortana and Chief at the end of the game after Cortana saves Chief
I would very much like to agree with you, I really would, but for me, Death of Overmind from SC I still takes the cake.
Personally, I think the "Warriors Cutscene" Dialog was a bit more....impactful.
