Had to google the name Michel Martin Koiter was one of Blizzards Premium artists, this dude died at 19 of unexpected heart failure. :,I Didnt think the name meant anything first time playing through the campaign, but nice to see them honoring him a bit in this way.

I like how you can see Koiter's armor isn't red. It's blue meaning he isn't some brainwashed Dominion red shirt, he is a Raider and one of Jimmy's boys.

I don't think he meant to have it transmitted to everyone, sounded like he was just talking to the people with him. Still, it IS a better speech than Master Chief ever did :p
I gotta say: moments like this are why I disagree with the people who think SC1's grimdarkness is the end-all be-all. Sure, there's the dark. Sure there's the betrayal, and the oppression, and the horror. But it makes the victories that they win in SC2 feel that much more real, that much better. After all, if there aren't allowed to be at least positive endings, what's the point of it all? What I'm saying here is fuck doomerism. We blooming.
*looks at the rising of the sun, and then to dog tags marked 'Hannibal Santiago, Army Rangers' "...because some things are just worth fighting for." This scene reminded me of those same words he said to me.
Exile Studios if that were the case, there wouldn't be an atmosphere that terrans could breathe. everyone with their helmet open would asphyxiate. and let me put it this way, it rains on venus, a planet that would cook you alive in under a minute. sure, doesn't rain _water_, but it rains. it also rains on titan, a planetoid so cold it would freeze you to death even with armour. again, doesn't rain water, but it's still rain. i think char can manage a short downpour.
Shame Blizz is such a shitty company. Their design for Marines is absolutely badass, and I'd have loved to see more of them in action in some other form of media. Maybe a film.
Why not? It is possible. Volcanic eruptions may release water into the atmosphere that than condenses into rain clouds at higher altitudes where it is cooler. It then comes down as rain. Early Earth was once volcanic too.
+Eder Reis That's what Soldiers do, they sacrifice their lives for the good of others, it's the commanders that have the hard burden of sending them into combat, but some higher up bastards don't even care for the men below them, just for themselves and the medals on their chest, the fucking bastards.
Eder Reis He was fighting for the universe as well. Raynor was gonna kill Kerrigan, evident by the visions Zeratul gave Raynor. Raynor only gave up on his revenge against Kerrigan when Zeratul made it clear she has to live or we all die
I don't care that it build a great atmosphere, you don't frickin made rain on Char of all places. Even if it rain acid or some sort of chemical, Char still wouldn't be humid enough for that shit to come down. It's like checking the sun for trees.
+Shinigami Sama if you use your brain more often you'd find out that earth was like char once upon a time, look at it now all that water, don't you think them vulcanic eruptions and the occasional comet impact would release chemicals to form water? i'm not looking to insult you all i'm saying water ain't a complex chemical reaction and if you look in our own solar system at planet venus (which even though ain't nowhere near like char) has water in its atmosphere even though its one hellhole world
+warbossgrotsmasha23 Venus is much worse than Char, And the earth was never a hot molten mass that is a bunch of secularist porpoganda that contradicts modern research concerning geology.
Looking back on StarCraft 1, I heavily compared the campaign of StarCraft 2 with it. The speech was very poor in comparison to some of the great dialogue the previous game had, and this speech was supposed to be very amazing. The unnecessary choir in the background is also almost film-like, which the previous game never needed and floating animated gifs with scrolling text was working perfectly. Maybe it's just me, but that's my 2 cents.
Whoever wrote Raynor's speech did a job beyond excellent.
It’s simple. But it hits home. I think that’s why it works; Raynor is not some aristocrat with orator lessons - he speaks plainly and from the heart
For Blizzard, Michael Koiter became inmortal.

I like how you can see Koiter's armor isn't red. It's blue meaning he isn't some brainwashed Dominion red shirt, he is a Raider and one of Jimmy's boys.
it‘s also why raynor collects his dog tags
And he's from Mar Sara, he's one of the first to band up with Raynor through the whole thing.
and the minor part that basically all dominion marines are in the same position as tycus may help with that brainwashing part
God " that speech was badass, I am going to move those clouds to make it even better"

Inspirational indeed. A bit too melodramatic for me though. Mengsk's inauguration speech from SC1 still hits me harder. :D

Acid rain I assume
its a young planet going through similar ecological changes to earth when it was a big ball of molten rock
all the water from bodies has to end up somewhere. zerg arent 95% bone.

Doug Vetsch Well I finished HotS the other week and apparently there are swamps on Char, So I would assume it's possible for rain.

Why not? It is possible. Volcanic eruptions may release water into the atmosphere that than condenses into rain clouds at higher altitudes where it is cooler. It then comes down as rain.
Early Earth was once volcanic too.
What I don’t get is where did the rain even come from.
Steam rises into the air and condenses where it is cooler high up in the atmosphere and comes back down as rain.
