I have my Thai in no drainage and pon and she’s taking off! I can fill the resevoir as high as I want to 😂🤓 I love your Thai props Kevin, they’re gorgeous 💚🖤
Hey, love the video's. I had all my plants in leca, but recently got into soil again for some plants. I use a mix of 6 liters coco coir, 10 liters pine bark, 6 liters coco chips, and 6 liters of perlite. This mix ratio is great, and you can add things like worm castings and activated charcoal. My monstera's grew so slow in leca, then I realised I put them in a too big container, but in order to put out lots of foliage they need to be a bit root bound.
I am a new plant dad. I have two Thai constellations that I intend to combine in one pot in a week or so. I purchased them as babies. I’ve had them for two weeks now. I have soil, perlite, and bark that I have used for other plants. You seem to really like Leca and Pon (which I know very little about 😅). In your experience, do you have a medium preference that you like to grow your Thai constellations in? Thanks for your time and consideration.
Kevin!!! I started using clear basket liners (the deep ones for hanging plants) as a reservoir instead of shallow saucers because they are able to hold much more water and my thais are finally happy now. I buy the basket liners online from a store in Ontario called Urban Grow. They have pon too (cheaper than amazon).
The Thais actually started to pop up at the Lowes here in Texas. Huge plant for $149, still haven't found one... hopefully one day. You need a house kevin lol, can you imagine how many more plants you would have
@@nancywong8302 I got mine from kroger, good size for $30. Even tho I've been to the lowes nearest me, I haven't gone inside to check if they got any. This lowes kinda sucks.
I just went back and have been watching all your Thai videos. I bought my Thai almost two weeks ago at a local grocery store (Canada) and currently have her just in water & she’s doing grea. She has a new leaf about it break through! I’m planning on putting her in LECA, but I’m curious about the big, clear containers that you have yours in. Where did you get them from? I went through all your affiliate links below and didn’t see them. Thanks for the great, informative content & all the 😂 and 🤭. Loves it!
My thai con is such a diva compaired to my normal monstera all the normal monstera pups go into on big pot i have filled with the most dense nasty potting mix and they grow like weeds the one thai con i have is still trying to root effectively in the chunky mix i have it in after a year lol
Hi there @hakunalaplanta i just got a new thai con and it’s my first ever! I got inspired by your vids to put mine in Leca. Can I ask how long do you let the pot sit in the tray with the water and solution? Do you need to pour the water out eventually or just leave it till it dries up?
“Hiyeee ! I’m a Thai Constellation!”
😂😂 yes, yes you are ❤
Your giggles are infectious ❤ love you so much

I´m doing air layering on my Thai right now. Think I will out the cutting to leca instead of soil when it´s time to cut it off ☺
If I ever get a Thai I want your genetics. Always enjoy your vids! Tfs
My Man, you are so informative and a pleasure to watch. Love it.
Can we get a good bye? I’m shocked when your vids end. Still adore your videos.
