- Cory and I are really getting into lift access riding lately. After Blue Mountain in Ontario, and Boyne Highlands in Michigan, Seven Springs is the next closest bike park to us. It's always super exciting exploring new trails. Enjoy!

RIP 7 Springs Bike Park. Had some great adventures riding here! At least they are keeping the XC trails and one could probably ride through the technical DH sections left.
Yeah. Only went there once too. Would have been nice to go back and see how much we've progressed since last time. Bummer.
Just got to love her tenacity.
Just discovered your channel. I love the vibe. Cory is my new mtb hero. Love her enthusiasm and grit!
Glad you found us, broski. Cory is definitely a bad-ass. 😁
The bike park I've grown up on! What fun. You two have hilarious chemistry and are obviously enjoying yourselves. Enjoy your biking adventures. Also that lower EC1 drop....easier than it looks but very intimidating. Yinz sent it well. Only issue I've ever had with it was when wet...lost my front tire and broke my wrist on it a few years ago, but that was largely a stroke of bad luck (too much front brake on the rock).
Thanks! 😊
I love the yeah boi. Always after some awesome drop.
Yup. Every time. 😁
That was great.
So much fun to watch you guys and especially ❤️ Her .so cool
Glad you enjoyed the vid. 😊
I frigging love watching you two!
Thanks. 😅
I love it guys!!! We have tons of videos we have not put together yet haha we do both have demanding job and riding atleast 1-2 times! Cory, yesterday was when I learned about you and yesterday was my first crash. I thought Im
Gonna die then I saw your crashes and I was like! Dang this girl is not just brave- also durable bahahahhaha 😜
Crashing is all part of mtb. Best to do as little of it as possible though. 😂 Cory lifts heavy weights(relative to her), so her bones are pretty dense. She's one strong lady. 💪
@@dukeofmtb i lift too hehehehe but I bet I am not as young as Cory! I need to meet you guys soon!
@@JLising Really? You guys look about the same age. Mid 30s?...and yeah, we're still in the planning phase. The mtb season is still just starting but we really wanna check out Bentonville.
@@dukeofmtb late 30’s yeah hehehhe almost same age then. I gotta train more hehehe we just started mainly last November and I can’t wait to learn more skills. Cory is so inspiring!
And you too ofcourse! :)
Best edited POV videos on youtube! That park looks fun
That means a lot coming from you. I've always thought your videos are top notch. It helps that you're an awesome rider too. We're more on the goofy side. 😅
"Nangato met gayam" i was laughing hard.. amazing video man! Ilocano from pennsylvania here!
Bag man ta nabirukam atoy channel me. Adda py duwa nga PA vids me no kayat mo kitan:

Keep shredding bro! 🤙
Wow I wish I lived in America and Canada where the bike trails are godly. Sucks to be Australian.
The trails *_are_* pretty amazing here, both in Canada and "The States." I'm sure Australia has some awesome stuff too. You just haven't found them yet. Aren't there some awesome trails in Tasmania? Also, you can always fly over to New Zealand for a little mountain biking vacation. 😁👍
The Duke of MTB yep I have been to Tasmania and it is legendary. However I live in a place where the bike trails aren’t as good but when I have enough money I’m going to move right next to a trail.
I really enjoy your vids. You two are much braver than me and my wife. Your vids help me build my confidence by watching how you do the trails and features.
Thanks! Glad we could help. 😊
Visited here as my first bike park last summer... You guys had the same experience as me hah. Full of sketch and mud and "is it possible" features. Still had a blast tho
So that makes it 3 bike parks 5 hours from Detroit? Boyne, Blue Mountain, and now this? That along with DTE has brought me to critical mass to get an actual enduro bike. Poor bank account. :-( Kudos to you guys respecting your limits and not going for that huge gap. It's nice to videos where people are exorcising real judgement on the trail, as you should do, and not just "send it" and end up on Friday Fails or in the E.R. Great vid!!!
Yup. Better safe than sorry on that one. Pushing the limit is fine, just don't push too far. We were already walking a fine line here as it is. 😅 And I agree, with all the awesome riding available not too far from us, why not get a bigger bike. Hehe
In all fairness it wasnt the smoothest run up to that drop..props to her for getting right back up and sending it!
Yeah, I'm always impressed by her resilience. I don't think I would have done that right after crashing on it.
Looking fresh! might have to make a trip out there! Cory sends it harder than some of my squad!
They have tons of flow stuff. You'll love it. Cory rides harder than most folks in general. Haha
3:28 fucking “case-Oroni” got me
DAMN SUN = DIM SUM
I LOVEE IT GIRL :)
Haha. You got it. 😁👍
Fun little park!
It's pretty good, but of all the bike parks closest to us, Blue Mountain in Ontario is still my favorite.
Just found this channel. I dig it. I shall subscribe.
Wonderful! Thank you, kind sir. 😁
Dim Sum!
Love it guys...
I have some unsolicited advice:)
Helped me with a grabby front brake finger
I got a really good brake (Maguras) with quick engagement but also modulation like Maguras or Hope. If more confident the back brake works I use front less!
Happy riding guys!
We've been on Maguras for ages. Hc3 levers for the win. Our favorite brakes.
Hell yeah dude, I live 20min our from here and spend all my weekends here lol. You for sure could’ve sent the drop. Easily make it with 3-4 cranks from the fire lane!
Nice! I wish we lived that close to a bike park. And yeah...we were taking it easy since it was day 1 of our trip to PA. It definitely looks doable though. We'll definitely hit it next time.
You guys are an adorable couple. Got 1 ride in with my ex before my Trek arrived, now I ride alone, still fun though. You kids shred safely & keep loving each other 🆒😎🚵♂️
Thanks! 😊
They should get the carriers Horseshoe Bike Park has and they just bold onto the chair real quick and easy :). Sick looking park, and awesome video guys!! Haha good times :D \mm/ YEEWWW!!!!
PS. Good redemption on the rock drop Cory! Haha you could hear right away how stoked she was to get it! That's what it's all about! \m/ :D
Yeah, she's a badass. I don't think I could have done that after a crash. 😅
RIP SEVEN SPRINGS MTB YOU WILL ALWAYS BE MISSED
😭
It has been a while now, but I was the guy that was riding the grey Remedy when you guys were out there! I just stumbled on your video the other day, didn't know you guys have a channel. Cool to see, hope all is well!
Glad you stumbled upon the channel.
I remember you. I remember thinking you were very polite. I think there were only two other guys riding that day too. They had Hawaiian shirts on. They "dropped in" right before you. You were riding solo. I hope everything's going good with you too.
Anyway, things are great. Hope you stick around and check out the rest of our content.
*Pennsylvania boii*
*my favorite state to ride trails*
Yeah, Pennsylvania has some good stuff. The local trails around Pittsburgh are surprisingly good too.
@@dukeofmtb did you ride any trails in ohiopyle state park
@@ASSwipe. Nope, but we didn't stay too long in Pittsburgh. We only rode Seven Springs, North Park, and Frick Park. It was a blast. 😁👍
I'm very new to mountain biking, can you recommend any good trails or even anywhere I could ride for free around Western PA?
@@crazyredneck4931 ohiopyle State park has plenty of free trails that are long and some fast some slow some technical you wont find much on youtube but I raft guide in ohiopyle and their is a fat community here so we take care if the trails.
Hahaha. Maka pakatawa kayo nga duwa. . Sana gawa kayo nang tips and trick sa mga bagong bikers katulad ko. Love your vlogs keep it up, love you both.
That's a good idea. Aramidek to no ada oras. Bag man ta nabirukam channel me. Hehe. Glad you enjoy the content. 😁
Awesome work Cory you have no fear (and massive balls!!!) Maybe you should try the UK set up and swap your brake levers over ;-)
Haha....or maybe just get rid of the front brake altogether. 🤣😂
“I’m slow”. Yeah, no. Cory is the opposite of slow. Specially when towing me in lol
You should have sent the giant drop! Its such an awesome feature. Probably my favorite one there
We might do it now. It felt too risky at the time. 😅
Way nice!
Hey she crashed very well!!
Don't underestimate that skill man, the better I crash the more confident, safer, more enjoyable experience. I took a long time away from dangerous riding and had to learn to crash again.
I love your videos guys, really up there with the top videos in quality, editing and entertainment factor.
I am partial to the content being a Michigander born (even though I am home now, moving away again to the PNW this year... maybe...weird year)
I would love to see you two hitting the Northshore and PNW bike parks... lemme check your videos again not sure if you have been traveling but I think you need live there and the subs will follow... follow?
If ties keep you here, I do understand... so glad my wife and I are *free to move about the country...
Cheers guys, wish you a happy year hopefully filled with some varied and fun trails!
She's so used to crashing, nothing scares her anymore. We're gonna try riding everything in the east first, then we'll slowly work our way west. 😊
Loved the vid and the vibe. I'm located in Manhattan. I recently just started mtb and went out to mountain Creek about 2 weeks ago. I loved it. I gotta ask about the cam mountainted on her helmet, what brand is it. You just got another subscriber.
Looking foward to more vids.
Thanks, dude. Glad you enjoy it. She has an Insta360 One X mounted on the forehead of her helmet. I think it gives a pretty cool and unique camera angle. I made a vid just using that one camera once. You should check it out: ua-cam.com/video/fehPpni-0QA/v-deo.html
i would get a body harness that can hold your weight and wrap the grip of it around your bike for lifts like that
Always the front brake lol
Yup. I'd say 99% of her crashes are front brake related. 😁
yeah boy :-D
Yeahboi on 2time of drop. Rockgarden on green trail instantly make it black diamond... Haha
You'll be surprised how much more difficult trails are outside of Michigan. Many 'blue trails' might as well be black. 😄
@@dukeofmtb I am ordering full face helmet, short liner with lots of pads, (still thinking about body armor) before going to these trails.. haha.
If the torn shirt scare me, I even not sure I can handle copper harbor trail (ultimate MI destination for me for this year).
@@benjapolcycling To be honest, yeah, it's gonna be very scary the first time. It's still a good experience though. Our first time at Boyne, we felt pretty overwhelmed. It'll all quickly become the new norm after a couple trips though. After Boyne, everything back in SE Michigan started seeming less scary. So just keep gradually pushing your comfort zone. By next season, nothing on Torn Shirt will scare you anymore. 😁👍
When are you guys coming to west Michigan? I recommend Merrill Trail in Rockford and Maple Hill in Kalamazoo.
No clue. Hehe 😅 A lot of what we do is spur of the moment. We take the time to ride where we can get it. I'll take those trails into consideration for next time though. Already added them to the list on my phone. Thanks. 😁👍
They have nice trails I ride there. But all trails seem to merge. Kinda merge to many. But heck. It's a bike park so I still ride n have fun
True. They all kind of blend together. That's why I just made a single video instead of separate vids for all the trails.
Seven Springs was my first and only bike park experience so far and I was kinda disappointed. Didn't seem maintained at all and wasn't much there between easy and crazy hard. not much middle ground. Looks like you had fun though at least. I also didn't hit the steep hill she wasn't so keen on hitting under the chairlift there, was also in a trail open face helmet with no pads tho so I was pretty sketched out. Props on doing that!
We were also kind of disappointed. We go to Blue Mountain in Ontario often, and that place is top notch. Seven Springs is okay, but its not something I would drive 6 hours to again.
This is my local bike park. Sucks u guys got there on a muddy day.
We still had fun. 😊
Look before ya leap haha
Yup. Ironic. 😅
ohhll
Cory is so cute.
Yup! 😊
Bikey Mikey likey. 😂
Thanks for another entertaining video!
I'm glad Corey didn't get hurt. She only landed in pee! 😂😂😳
Haha. Only Cory would crash and be more worried about the smell of pee. 🤣😂
New subscriber here. I just love the vibe
Thanks! I'm an American of Polish and Filipino descent. Cory's originally from the Philippines.
@@dukeofmtb Thanks man! Cheers mga kabayan :D ride safe always!
I almost went there instead the weekend I met you two.
We're glad you decided to do Boyne that day instead. 😄
Me too!!
How many times did you call her "love" in this video? Holy hell lol
Lol. That's what happens when you've been together for 14 years. 😊
in what month is the footage shot? This place looks pretty rad.
Bike parks in general are pretty awesome. 😁 This was in August, broski.
im getting in to mtb riding and i was wondering if you guys ride anywere in mass
Yeah, we rode Thunder Mountain once. Our two most recent vids are there. 😁
ua-cam.com/video/tbuPU2VX50E/v-deo.html
ua-cam.com/video/BwSIC1UZDrA/v-deo.html
Corys "balls" are bigger than A Lot of guys that I've seen ride, lol. She's always Sending it!! She always goes for that front brake too. Has she ever considered switching lever sides like the European riders do? They run rear brake on the left side, front brake right. I'm so glad that you guys realize the importance of protective gear as well. That slam could've easily broken something. Good thing she was OK. Great vid as usual, You guys fricken rock 🤘
Thanks. Thing is, she pulls both levers equally. That's what she kept doing when we started riding. By the time I found out, we were a year into riding. Now, it's a hard habit to brake. Her panic reflex is to slam both brakes. I just need to keep reminding her to be mindful of her braking. 😁
HAVE you ever riden at the highland bike park and would it be a good choice and place for me to start learning how to ride downhill
Yes, we have. If you stay on the greens and blues, then yeah. Work you're way up to the more diffucult trails slowly. Highland is an amazing bike park. Have fun. 👍
If cory is always slamming on her front brake why dont you just flip them around? Make her front brake her back break and her back break the front break
Josh Labonte I’m guessing she grabs both equally
@@ryrummler8143 You hit the nail on the head there Rumdog. She always used both brakes at the same time when we first started riding. I didn't find out until at least a year into mountain biking. It's a hard habit to break, especially since she does it reflexively in moments of panic. For most folks, their panic reflex is slamming just the rear. She'll eventually adapt. I just have to keep reminding her to be mindful if it. 😊
Nice Video! Do you know why 7 springs closed there bike park?
Insurance got too expensive I think?
Change the break lever placement for her... She seems to hit front all the time lol.
She hits both. She grew up always pulling both levers to stop. I took her front brake off for a few weeks to get her used to using the rear as her primary brake. It seems to have helped. Now she doesn't use the front enough. Lol
Take off Cory’s front brake
LOL. That might actually be safer in her case.
Or just give her a super shitty front brake
@@ryrummler8143 Tried that. Didn't work too good on the steep stuff. Hehe. She's just gonna have to learn to be mindful of her braking. 🙂
The Duke of MTB How are the Magura brakes working for her
@@jakerahenkamp8138 She loves 'em. I'm a Magura brake guy now for sure.
How does she bounce back up every time?!
It really is something, isn't it? I chalk it up to high bone density to weight ratio. Lol. That's gotta be it, right?
@@dukeofmtb it must be.
thank goodness for helmets
Yup. We wear them even when we're just fooling around in the driveway. You never know. 😊
The Duke of MTB can’t ever be too safe! Cheers man take care :)
@@truancy2388 Thanks! Will do. 😁👍
Her bike looks like mine. Canyon Neuron AL 7.0 SL?🤔
She was on a custom women's Canyon Spectral CF here. Similar, but it's a 27.5er with 150mm front travel, and 140mm rear with a 66° head angle.
@@dukeofmtb copy that. Thinkin after watching your video I’m definitely going to have to hit Seven Springs up this summer.
@@chadkimmel8957 Unfortunately, they announced that they're closing the bike park permanently this year. That's 3 places we've been to now that have shut down. Sadly, a lot of lift and shuttle access bike parks didn't survive Covid. RIP Seven Springs Bike Park. 😥
Good thing Cory doesn’t ride XC. They don’t make a saddle to accommodate balls of that size.
Coconuts Cory
🤣😂🤣😂🤣👍👍
You dont gave it hold the bike like that you put the handle bars between your legs and let it dangle
Thanks for the tip. 😊
Do they have bike rental
Yes, they do. It's actually very rare for a lift access bike park not to have rentals. Have fun out there. 😁👍
@@dukeofmtb thanks!
I told you to SEND IT
lol. what's funny is that her motto is practically, "When in doubt, just send it!" 😅
Shes a bada$$
1:56 thats what she said😏
That gave me a good chuckle.
Dim sum
Everything looks flat on the GoPro
I know. The GoPro makes it look like it's just the smoothest flowiest stuff ever.
The Duke of MTB yep
You need to change it to linear not wide it helps a little
@@ASSwipe. I'm well aware. The problem with linear is it doesn't have a very wide field of view. It won't work that great for chin mount since the bars won't be in the shot at all, and it just isn't that good for first person POV.
They closed this park down ):
Yeah. Makes me sad. That's two lift access parks we've been to now that have closed. 😥
@@dukeofmtb with the MTB Boom youd think theyd be popping up all over the place..
I know..doesn't make sense. 🤷♂️
@@dukeofmtb which other one shut down? Very disappointed at 7Springs. Even skiing there I know they’re all about money. It’s sad.
@@braydenjohnson1063 Blue Mountain in Ontario shut down their DH for good. Also Bailey Bike Park in North Carolina. They sold the land and so that park also closed down. Only rode there once. Bummer.
Just wondering why does she wear like a full body armor suit
Well, if you're riding an unfamiliar bike park for the first time, it's a good idea to play it safe until you know the place like the back of your hand. On a more familiar bike park, she's more likely to just wear the roost guard without the shoulder and elbow pads. On regular singletrack, probably just the helmet and knee pads. Of course, helmet and knee pads are worn no matter what. Considering she took a good spill on the rock drop, it's good she had all her gear on. If you're planning to hit some new features, that's another good time to wear some extra gear. If you watch the rest of our vids, you can see we gear up according to the difficulty of the trail. If you're on a budget, at least wear a helmet. Our helmets have saved our lives multiple times. Stay safe out there, broski.
switch her back cable with her front cable i notested that she is sqweesing her front brake when she gets scared i did this for my wife and she has not used her front brake lever sence
She pulls both levers when she panics. Switching the levers will only make it worse since she'll confuse the front for the rear and vice versa.
13:57 that drop is way to far in my opinion
I felt the same way. It's so far, you can even tell on from GoPro footage.😅 If you *_have_* to pull to make it, it's not the best built drop. Either that, or come in hella fast. It's doable, but there are those extra variables that make it more likely something goes wrong. A risk I wasn't going to take.
@@dukeofmtb yeah I agree
Is she Filipina?
Yup. I'm half Filipino as well. 😊 🇺🇲🇵🇭
@@dukeofmtb mabuhay!
Had she walked up and looked at the drop at around 17:00 she would have known what she was getting into and then got speed and sent it the first time!
The biggest mistake in mountain biking is not looking at stuff before you ride it. So to tell her to just send it without having her see it first was very dangerous!
She has courage, but both of you appear to not fully have the bike handling skills for this stuff. Just riding off of things is not how to safely do drops and gaps, you need to know how to launch the bike and control it in the air so you don't nose dive. Pure luck is not the best approach. Learn how to properly bunny hop (front wheel first, then rear wheel BMX style) and that will give you much better control off of these drops and heck, you will even stop casing all those jumps you could easily clear with the speed you are going.
I love your courage, but you gotta back it with some skill so you don't get hurt!
You mean like this?

and this:
instagram.com/p/B3AXQRHH_1E
Here she is doing an American bunny hop in the basement: instagram.com/p/B51dwdpp0Z-
We're more capable than we make ourselves out to be in this video. It was a day with slimey conditions and I accidentally pumped up her tires to 30 psi that day and forgot to deflate it to her riding pressure. That's why she was riding sketchy and scared. Anyway, I appreciate the concern. I guess I edited this video in such a way that makes us look totally incompetent to newcomers to the channel. Rest assured, I wouldn't push my wife to do features she hasn't done many times before.
Bruh riding harder trails makes you more used to them which in turn increases your riding skill.
