This showed up from 4yrs ago! Beautiful napkins. The comment is true that people don't like messing up linen napkins. Guests say "save on washing up". I still go ahead and wash and press them for next time. Gosh, I've never been given such a beautiful homemade craft. Whoever received your give away must have been very happy. Hope its still being used. Beautiful.
Susan Oates thank you for your post. I was looking to see if anyone did that. I was thinking I want to do that and wondered if there was any reason not to.
Merci beaucoup pour votre explication toujours très claire, bien filmé, tout est facile avec vous. Je vais essayer de faire l'arbre de Noël. Merci encore
How fun to see this video again...this was the click bait that got me to the Jodan Fabrics channel for quilting two years ago and I have been making stuff ever since. Thanks Donna, Matt, and everyone at Jordan Fabrics for bringing me back to quilting after 40 years! I am having a great time!
You did an awesome job explaining step by step. As a beginner, I can even feel confident with this project. What a fun project. Thank you so much for sharing!
I remember making paper napkins like this when i was small with my wonderful and so talented mum. Mum taught Jim and I how to do so many things with the various crafts and mostly out of the rubbish that was going around(now known as recycling or upcycling). We lived out in the middle of nowhere so with twins on her hands, she had to find something to keep us amused because we didn't have a television. She was the starter of a youth club to keep the children in the neighbouring villages amused and she had to find things for them to make that didn't cost much, if not free. There are a lot of 40 and young 50 somethings going around that know how to sew and use their imaginations because of that wonderful lady. Donna, i love both sets of your beautiful napkins and being a childlike 50 something, i will go with Santa, lol. Thank you for bringing back memories for me and for sharing your wonderful talents with us. It's people like you that keep crafting going throughout the age groups from the youngest to the oldest who still want to learn something new. I hope that you and your family have a lovely Thanksgiving on Thursday(sorry if i've got that wrong USA but i'm Scottish and don't have it across here), as your family deserve it. Crafty hugs to you and your family, from Norah in Glenochil Village, Central Scotland
Oh wow I love this napkins. I'm definitely going to make me some for my home. You do such a great job teaching step-by-step on how to make a beautiful piece.
These would make adorable Christmas ornaments as well if you cut down the size and sew it all together!!! Nice addition to place on a wrapped present with a cute bow!
Both are pretty but I REALLY like the more elegant design fabric. Christmas is at my mom's this year and I think I'll start a new tradition by making dinner napkins for whoever hosts each year. Thanks for the quick and easy pattern and Happy Thanksgiving!🦃☺️
I like them both. The kid's table Santa's are so darn cute.I can just image my grandkids opening them up and refolding them. The other set would look like nice with my Royal Doulton, using a Rose Pattern and Gold. Great Job.
Donna, your videos are really well thought out, and I think you do a great job of explaining and demonstrating the projects. You have inspired me to try new projects. Thanks!
Thank you for all the step-by-step videos! I made a set of these last year and loved the project results. This year I am making more sets for Christmas presents. Best to you and yours!
I love the placement for the kids table...the “Santa”...the quilt is a wonderful match for the adult table placement...thanks for that awesome tutorial on how to make these lovely placements...
These immediately became my hostess gifts for the season. Thank you for sharing! I made my own folding directions, but would love, love, love if you uploaded some to accompany the napkins.
These are charming. I love them both. I’d use the elegant ones for Christmas Eve dinner and use the whimsical ones for Christmas morning brunch. Thanks for a wonderful tutorial. 😊
Those trees are adorable and I cant make up my mind on which I like better. They are both so pretty! And that quilt is STUNNING as usual your work is superb!! ❤
Thank you for the tutorial, I love these & can't wait to make some!! I like the fun pattern with bright red and green, will be making a bunch of them for family!
This is the most creative project I've seen in awhile ... totally love the "kids'" version of these semicircles-transformed-into-Christmas-trees napkins! Thanks Donna and Team Jordan! ~Diana from Hamilton (Canada)
"...drive right over your other stitching..." cracked me up! Lol! The tree napkins are so cute! Thanks Donna! What a great way to dress up a place setting!!! Just love it!!! Thanks for all of the great videos.
They are all beautiful. You are a good and lovely Tutor. I have watched you time and time again. And whatever you do it is always perfect and easy to understand. I am in the UK Thank you. xx

Oh Donna! These are too fabulous! Thank you for sharing the how to! And your nail polish is way cool! I get a kick out of seeing what color your nails will be in your vids😊.
These are absolutely adorable! Definitely going to make a “fun” set for my grandkids and an elegant set for my cousin. AND they are quick - which is what you really need this time of year. Thank you!
Meg Murray I think a variety of Christmas fabrics would be super fun on a table unless you were wanting the elegant vibe then go matched. I like to keep Christmas meal casual and prefer Tgiving be more formal.
Carol Cocking I actually made some ornaments from burlap that I painted with mod podgy to stiffen and cut with pinking shears and I sewed red beaded at the points and looped silver wire along the bottom edge. 🇨🇦
I really like the christmas tree napkins.(ctn) I have some material left over from my christmas tablecloth. So I plan to make the ctn. Thankyou for showing me how. Loved it. Xx
Oh my goddess!! You did an outstanding job. I would love to make these for a friend that loves trees 🌲... she does crafts but no sewing!! You explained it so well I know I can sew these! Thanks so much for the outstanding explanations!!! I’ll let u know how they turn out! Should also make myself a set too!!
I love these napkins... I am making them for everyone.. I can see even my 96 yr old mom loving them down to my 2 year old grandson.... Thank You soo much!
I love watching you create masterpieces, you get right to the point and don't waste time and at my age time is valuable, lol, great job to you and your camera crew. 😉

Lovely. I liked both.
i know what i’m giving for Christmas!! what a wonderful idea!!
I don’t sew, but I sent this to my friend who does sew. She has already made a dozen! I hope she shares two of them with me.
I’ve been sewing for 60 years and you taught me how to make a circle. I’m so thrilled because I don’t need a special tool!
Absolutely beautiful and cute
I made two dozen of these for my sister. I sewed a line on every fold to make it easier for her to refold them after washing.
Susan Oates thank you for your post. I was looking to see if anyone did that. I was thinking I want to do that and wondered if there was any reason not to.
That's dedication! Go you!!! Lucky sis.
Does this half yard make 2 napkins?
How many napkins does a half yard make?
@@ctrichellI would think it would depend on the size of your napkin.
Love this beautiful pattern thank you for sharing 💐💐💐💐💐🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺
Merci beaucoup pour votre explication toujours très claire, bien filmé, tout est facile avec vous. Je vais essayer de faire l'arbre de Noël. Merci encore
From my Mom: I love watching Donna work. Great napkin idea.
You are an excellent teacher. I made 40 of these -- 16 for my sister, and 8 for each of her recently married kids. I kept a photo for my memories.
Love these and your simple explanation of how to make them. Going to make some for my daughter. Thank you.

Just made a dozen in 3 colorways. I sewed in 2 more folding guidelines to minimize future folding frustrations. Too cute, thanks Donna!!!
They are both nice. Like that you did some for adults and some for children. Fast and easy pattern!
I happen to like both. The elegant ones are so pretty, but the colorful ones are merry and bright! I think both are a must have!
Watching this again to make more Christmas trees to dell at our Church’s Christmas Fair. Love these! Thank you again Donna. LOVE your videos. xx
I love both of these they are so different, beautiful and fun!!!!
You are so good at explaining/showing how to make things!!!

These would make adorable Christmas ornaments as well if you cut down the size and sew it all together!!! Nice addition to place on a wrapped present with a cute bow!
True! Good point! That would be so cute to make with my kids. What a fun project!
Karin Dunham great idea for the sizing to Christmas ornament.
I was thinking the same thing. You could also sew on some cute little buttons as ornaments on the tree.
Karin Dunham, I was thinking the same thing!!!
Love this tutorial!
Hard to choose. I like both designs!
I truly enjoy your videos. You have so much talent.
God Bless you & God Bless your family!

My fave ones are the bright green and red ones, so festive! The other ones are very elegant. Hard choice !
Loved the well explained video, I liked the red and green ones best
Would you put these with a solid placemat or make matchy-matchy ones? I like the 'elegant' combo!
Meg Murray I think a variety of Christmas fabrics would be super fun on a table unless you were wanting the elegant vibe then go matched. I like to keep Christmas meal casual and prefer Tgiving be more formal.
Solid or something that would let the napkins stand out. If you're making the effort to fold a tree, might as well let the trees show.
I love both, they are absolutely amazing.
I love the Santa fabric napkins--we are all kids at Christmas time!
I'm thinking a smaller version would make a terrific Christmas tree ornament.
Great idea! You could even use wrapping paper!
Carol Cocking I actually made some ornaments from burlap that I painted with mod podgy to stiffen and cut with pinking shears and I sewed red beaded at the points and looped silver wire along the bottom edge. 🇨🇦
