My oldest grandchild watched this video with me before bedtime. He wants one now! I got the fabrics for the trees and background, but will let him choose the fabric for the back and the dividers. Thank you for encouraging a young boy to love fabrics!
I love your tutorials and look forward to every one. You are a wonderful teacher. I was in the teaching profession for 36 years and I know a good teacher when I see one. I’ve said this before, but, the camera person does a wonderful job of getting up close so we can see exactly what you are doing. Thank you.
Donna, I absolutely love your videos and shop. Thank you for taking the time to share your techniques and tips. Although I have sewn for 50 years, I am new to quilting and am very much hook on it. I wish I lived close by as I would be a weekly visitor. Top notch. Thank you.
Donna and Matt, I’ve been an average quilter. I recently joined a ‘VALOR’ quilt guild, and with the help of your tutorials, I’ve been able to ‘Grow” my knowledge and confidence. I’m now pumping out tops and challenging myself with more than the “Log Cabin” kits. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and helping others succeed. We appreciate you guys!
Hi Donna great quilt as usual. I like the idea of making this but adding an extra row of trees and some numbered pockets on the trees, and turning it into a giant advent calendar.
I have never done Appliqué on a regular sewing machine before but you make it look so easy. Gorgeous quilt, Donna! I LOVE the quilt you’re giving away too. Fall. Is my favorite time of the year. Those rich, earthy tones are beautiful! Thank you for another awesome tutorial and for the amazing giveaway! You guys never disappoint! :-)

Hi Donna, Am from Trinidad and Tobago, have been following you for years now, but never commented, only subscribed on youtube. Love your styles, you make quilting so easy . They are all fabulous. Think i have watched all your videos, and continue to watch them over several times. Hoping to purchase some fabrics or quilt soon.
Watched this awhile ago and put this on my I need to make this but saw someone who did it in blue trees and now I really want to make this now even though I have almost all my Christmas stuff packed away. But I think I will stick with the greens. Great video and pattern.
Hello from Virginia...love those ponderosa pines....and the batiks .......it does make a great Christmas quiltThat rail fence would look great next to the trees.....lol Thanks again for a wonderful tutorial Donna.
You could use the blue fabrics left over from the layer cake for the sashing, if you wanted to avoid a red & green Christmas palette. The blue fabrics would represent the sky. Blue yardage would also work if you wanted to avoid having to piece small strips from the layer cake squares.
Great idea on the paper! I've continually shied away from applique because I have no idea what/how stabilizer is/does and so many kinds! Thank you soooo much!! =}
Wow! Hands down my favorite! My entire home is a nod to leaves, birds & trees. I live earthy tones...I'm going to skip the red & go with the gold or brown??? & green. I'm a Green Girl! Fantastic quilt pattern. Thank you Donna & Family!
Love this tutorial! It looks so simple and easy. You make everything so plain to understand, and I would love to make everyone even though I know I am limited. Thank you!
Yes ma'am, I'm not a quilter yet, but I'm hoping to get a little area off to my self and start to get some quilts together. Your such an Inspiration to me. Thank you very much Mrs. Donna Sincerely Heather Baker ❤💜🧡💙💚💛
Your videos make me want to explore more in quilting. I was frustrated in what to start when looking at my fabric collections. I have a fat quarter pack of 12 greens that would work perfect with this. Thank you so much for the pattern. I wanted to try an easy applique and this looks like I might be able to actually finish this. So many quilts to make!!
Hi Donna. Thx for another beautiful tutorial. Both quilts are stunning!! Ill be making the " Ponderosa Pine" for Christmas. The "Amber Waves of Grain" in the rail fence pattern is gorgeous. I certainly hope to win this one since it'd match my livingroom perfectly & fall is my favorite season. This quilt & I would be a perfect match 😉
Wow, I love this pattern! I've been avoiding applique because it always looked too complicated and time consuming, but you just made it look soooo easy. I'm definitely up for the challenge now. Thank you for all the tutorials and beautiful patterns. I've learned so much from you. Oh yeah, and your tip for using a hand weight on the ruler is a lifesaver.
