I don't know how you could do any better by us. Your tutorials are so well done. Anyone can understand them. Gives us little tips, a flange and how to cut the binding. A FREE pattern and a chance to win a quilt! Thanks ever so much!
My name is Sheila, i must say that you have got to be the best instructor i have come across, i cant get enough of you and your tutorials. Thank you Joanne
My 3-year-old great-granddaughter got on the phone with me this morning to tell me about putting up her tree. I'm going to make one of these to send to her for her own Christmas tree.
This is such a good idea! I think that I am going to make one for the granddaughter who is at college in the dorm. Everyone needs a Christmas Tree! I think that I'm going to go up an inch or two in square sizes so she can hang it on her wall or the end of her bunk bed. These are just sooo cute! Another fine tutorial from Donna! I have so many ideas of my own, but I would love to walk around in her mind for a day or two. Oh the ideas that I could see!
@@tobeornottobe5995 That's a great idea. Unfortunately for me, the granddaughter who is in college actually lives with us because her college is 5 miles away. LOL She doesn't need one...but she does love holidays of all kinds and I make lots of pillow cases with holiday themes. So....
Dear Donna, it is Nov. 21, 2023. I saw this video two days ago and am watching it again now. This will work just fine for a wall hanging for ME! I was thinking I could quilt as I go when sewing the rows together. I thought about it as I was falling asleep the other night. Thank you so much. Marion in Gresham
Thank you for the great pattern! Just a little tip to beginner quilters, those little 2 3/8 squares can just be 2 1/2 squares and you can trim them down to 2 in. squares after they are sewn. It will just improve your accuracy to have something to trim away. Most of us quilters have 2 1/2 squares already. For those of you who want to use 2 1/2 squares thru out, you will need to start out with 3 inch squares to make those half square triangles then trim to 2 1/2. It will then be a larger wall hanging. What a fun project! Thanks Donna!
I had found a pattern for a tree that is similar that used 5" squares, but I just didn't want something that big, so I cut them into 2.5 " squares and went from there. I really like the flange! Just a little bit of extra color that pops.
That was a great idea to cut 2.5 In square and then trim. I just finished all my half square triangles for this little project. Thanks to your suggestion all my blocks trimmed beautifully. Thanks so much.
Thank you from a new quilter - you should gave seen me measuring having grown up in Europe using metric 😆. But my project came out great. Will try it using 2 1/2 now.
I made this 2 yrs ago & love it so much (but I did give it to my daughter last year), so now I "NEED" lol to make another (I have some scraps!). It's such a cool design. I enjoy the pretty intermix of fabrics & colors. Thx, Donna, for another awesome pattern!!! ❤️
Donna you are a fantastic teacher and encourager. You are so generous with your patterns also. I always start first with Jordan Fabrics for supplies I need. Thank you so much.
Love your videos but am always concerned when I need to cut things accurately to 1/8" so think I'll oversize a little and use a trimmer. A little more work but less stress. Thanks for this pattern
Dear Donna,!! I have been subscribed to Your channel for a long time,I do not cease to admire Your skill, talent and hard work. How I like all your projects. What a wonderful selection of fabrics. What a pity that with this coronavirus pandemic, it is not possible to have and order such fabrics...I would like to congratulate you on the upcoming new year from creative masters from Russia!!! Let everyone be alive and well!!! Let there be much joy happiness and peace!!! Sincerely, Elena!!!!
I’m not doing a lot of decorating this year, but THIS will definitely look festive! I think a wall hanging and two pillows. Terrific pattern again, Donna. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful christmas tree. J'adore et je vais le réaliser. Vos explications et votre savoir-faire sont formidables. Un grand bravo pour toutes ces belles choses que vous faites. Bisous de Belgique
Good afternoon Donna, WOW under 24 hours up and already 60,0130 views flower for your beautiful table topper/wall hanging. I think it would lovely hanging in the hallway so that when the front door is answered, it cheers up the person there as well as ourselves. Just think because of the style that you have made the pattern, a child learning to sew could make this quite easily and feel so accomplished when it was finished. It doesn't need them to match rows or be super accurate about actual 1/4" sewing, but what an achievement when finished. My wonderful mum taught me sewing from a super early age, so by the time i started school i was more advanced than the others, but it also meant that they could ask me about something if they were to scared of the teacher(and boy was she scary). Although they were starting on simple straight stitch of a lap bag, i could help them make it different and leave them with a happy smile. It's funny how they all made my life hell and beat me up in all sorts of ways, but they wanted to be able to do what i could. Thank you Donna for a great, quick project that is so easy on the eyes and easy on the nerves when you always seem to be running out of time, even if you are super organised. Sending hugs to all at Jordan Fabrics who make it possible for us to able to get all your great ideas and help. from Norah, Glenochil Village, Central Scotland
Same here! There are some really fun buttons in the craft stores. I was also thinking small costume jewelry would work, like vintage style pins and post earrings with faux diamonds and other jewels.
I actually made a project very similar to this years ago, in a class, but there are three trees. I only recently put the binding on it, thanks to your binding tutorial inspiring me to get it out and finish it. Now I think I might add the applique ornaments. Love your videos. So clearly explained and well shot. The best quilting videos on UA-cam!
I finished mine yesterday. Thank you for the pattern I love these small wall quilts that come together so fast, after working on a large project that takes a lot of time.
Thank you for your beautiful project... I speak very few English but I could understand you very well.. Your explanation was clear and understandable.... I will try to make my oun Chrismas Tree.... Hugs and blessings!!!!
Yippeee! I have shoe boxes full of 2 inch squares so I only have to cut the 2 7/8's. This will be a quick, wonderful gift. Thank you Donna. It's lovely..
I love making this little tree, I've done two, and given the at parties. Plan to make more! Donna, I REALLY wish you would do a wreath to go with! Please please please?
It's kind and generous of you to show is how to do this.
Hi Donna I love your designs. Quilting is helping me with my recover from cervical cancer. Thank you very much
Made this on a weekend as a last minute gift. I used scraps of Christmas fabric. My daughter loved it.
Watching, again! Yea, replay!! Hope & sew method! Love it!!!

I love your hair. It is so beautiful with the natural white. It actually makes you look younger.
I love watching your videos because you are such a great teacher.
Lovely. Making this for someone who maybe can't have a tree would be a great gift.
Last year I made my version of this great tree as a wall hanging. It is now my Christmas tree. This year I clipped lights on it.
I love it.
BEAUTIFUL! You have the best eye for color, Donna.
That is beautiful! If you give quilting classes in your shop in Oregon your customers are very lucky!
Another optional decoration is hot fix rhinestones in various sizes. A fun way to decorate fabrics.
I always feel encouraged when I watch your videos. Thank you so much!
you could add a gold star button at the top as well that would be really cute
Thats what my Mom is doing she gave me her button box years ago so I am searching through it for a star.
You could use your lost earring mates or other pieces of broken jewelry for ornaments

Best teacher EVER! First time I have seen the flange...great idea!

Hello Susan, how are you doing?
You make the best instructional videos! Thank you.
The inside of this wall hanging will fit a 18 in pillow, with the green border as a flange. I love this easy versatile project!

How can you put a backing on this and put a hanger on it?
You are such a wonderful teacher. I am a visual leaner. Sometimes reading a pattern is very challenging for me. So THANK YOU.
