Don’t sleep on the auto 3v. They move out great with a tune. Mine used to do a lot of damage at stoplights, all these G37 people learned what torque was all about
Well a 3v barely beats a ford's 3.7 V6...so the Z is lighter and has more power than the fords V6 in those 2011+ models but the 3v is cheaper to mod and can yield better result than the Z when modded with same bolts on, for example a stock 3v put down between 270whp to 290whp when you put in bolts on it can break 350whp+ easily, while the Z will put anywhere between 320 to 340whp if you're lucky. Only difference Z revs a lot faster and it can reach top speed faster than the 3v. Both are different and i own a 2011 5.0 and 2013 Z34, both drive completely different but in terms of more fun to drive the Z wins without a doubt.
@@davidjitt8097 this is true. I had a 4.6 brand new in 2002 and I thought it was fast. Then I test drove a 2020 5.0 and nearly shit myself. I was astonished with the power and torque the new ones have.
@@austinweippert4065 Only thing that can touch a 370z “stock vs stock” is a 5.0 and some 5.0’s lose to 370z’s that are modded. My friends had 05 Mustang GT’s with the 3 valve engine and lost every time to a 3.7 Q50 which is the same engine and transmission as the 370z so obviously the 370z would beat it even more considering the 09 370z’s hit 0-60 in 4.5 seconds and a quarter mile in 12.9 seconds stock.
i j raced a z literally a hour ago 60 roll i won by 1/4 car and dig i won by like 3 cars. i’m 5 speed manual stage 2 clutch,lighter flywheel, underdrive puller, intake manifold, cold air intake, x pipe and muffler delete, 1 piece aluminum driveshaft and a tune. car revs to 7000

I have once a 3v 2010.. and its not a slow car...that car have 315lbs of torque vs 270lbs in the z
The mustang has 420 foot pounds of torque, the Nissan doesn’t even have 300.

all vqs are slower when you manually shift the auto. i gap those 4.6s ALL day in my G35
So you run in sport mode?
