370Z FBO Admintuned vs Mustang GT 550s

- Ran into nice GT 550s. He had aftermarket rims and coilovers leading me to believe hes not stock motor. Sounded really nice as Mustangs do. He told me mine is way louder than his hahaa. He pulls me but it was fun. I think these Mustangs have 460hp. I need more juice to get past these V8s. Shoot recommendations in comments.

It makes around 420-430 to the wheel so pretty accurate

@@solitude2871 427? Seems too high if you remove 15% of any car due to drivetrain then that leaves you at 391 but most stock dyno says 401

I think your Z did really well man. that mustang has a 10 speed and a gen3 coyote motor, much faster than say a 2012 5.0.

I’m from South Africa. Very few wanna play on the road. And we have good open roads and almost no 5-0s at times.
Good vid man. The mustang guy is so chilled, finishes it with a complement.
Shit man more than half the time they start it so i play along. But now and then you have to pull up and make that eye contact lol try dodge cars, they like racing most times.
You can tell whos with the car community and who just got their 1st sports car by how they react
Aftermarket cam and E85 will do that 370Z really good

Its going to be more track performance. Similar to the Z with the nismo, about the same hp but much more under the car and bigger tires

Ive always been a dual exit guy man... Its a tough decision to make but i wanna go fast like Ricky Bobby lol Much thinking I will have to do. Thanks for the suggestions though bro
How did you know its a 10spd? Looks manual to me, just by the gear change on the first run.
For more hp on admin z’s,
Isr headers, 3” intakes, 3” single exit exhaust, e85 usually pump out the most power.
After that weight reduction and some sticky tires would help a lot.
Spare tires and trunk trim pieces drop a lot of weight.
That’s a lot of effort for minimal gain. If you buy a z for straight line speed you bought the wrong car. Lol

Maybe an exhaust and e85, but if you want to compete with modded 5.0’s go turbo.

The Mustang 5.0 makes 460hp and the 370z 350hp both Stock.
thé 370Z aren’t stock, only the mustang is, 370Z makes 330 to the Wheels, which means 400 hp to the crank, also the weight advantage

I'm curious what your setup is, you should be pulling on Mustangs even the Coyotes. My car only had FI exhaust w/ long tubes with a cheap street tune, and never lost to a Mustang of any type, except one that was supercharged. Is your trans auto or manual?
I've been running lean ever since getting tuned. My o2 sensors keep blowing out. I think because i run hot 220° constantly. Getting oil cooler soon and retune. See if that don't keep me out in front, running cooler n not lean. 7at
@@finkdizzle Is your exhaust the ISR headers and a full AAM catback? Is it 3 or 3.5 inch? You'd get the best out of a dual 3.5 inch. Check your injectors and spark plugs before getting a retune so it's clean. I had HKS Super Fire plugs but I forgot the heat rating I had
which mustangs were you racing? the 10 speed Stock 5.0s do 12.1 second 1/4 mile
@@aimxdy8680 Ecoboost of different years (one stock, one upgraded turbo), two 3.7 's, and various 5.0's of almost every year and one Coyote. The supercharged one I mentioned was older (the 2004 body) but he was built & his car was so clean. And yea 5.0's are slow at least when I raced them on the streets. I didn't get to do any digs but the Z has too much camber for digs

@@cedricmiller4370 mustang will still pull, Q60 owner here btw, 400Z will use Q60 engine aka VR30, but 400Z will be about 700 lb lighter, the Q60 does 13.2 second 1/4 mile, so 100 lb equals 0.1 seconds reduced, so 13.2-0.7 equals around 12.5, Mustang GT does a 12.1 second 1/4 mile stock.

That mustang is 460hp not 435. 435 was the last gen of coyote so 2015 16 and 17 all of those years made 435bhp

Recommendations to beat a S550? Daily Driver? Don't even try to shave weight, not worth it at all. You're pretty much out of options since you're already FBO. The next step would be to supercharge it. You can stay safe as long as you keep your wtq under 450.
I know it's a reach. S550s pull hard. Im about to go corn. Try that out a while till a save big bank for a whipple sc
@@finkdizzle I would suggest you skip e85 all together and save up for a whipple or stillen. Corn without FI is a big waste of money. You won't net much, if any at all. Google it.
Stang is small fry. Shoot higher. Try to beat GTRs, Vettes, or M cars like mine. Best of luck to you!

@@finkdizzle i seen some admintune cars gain about 15whp everycar is different and e always gives strong mid range gains through the whole powerband which no-one likes to talk about

Because when your in sport mode, you have the option to shift. Once you shift it recognizes you using the paddles so it stays in that format. If your good at shifting it’s cool, if you want to do it to look cool don’t. Because a auto 18+ 10 speeed auto on a 5.0 is perfect shifts every time. I just sport traction control off and let the car do it’s own. Idk why people try to shift there own. In that case get standard

@@finkdizzle nevermind just read the title said admin tune take my word if you upgrade the clutch and flywheel you’ll get the post out of your mods and tune the clutch on stock 350z/370 are trash you’ll notice double the power with a lighter flywheel and clutch trust me to the point were you would dust that mustang
my 370z had wavetrack, 4.08s, full tomei, z1 intakes, slave cylinder and lightweight flywheel on super sticky bridgestones. consistently ran low 12s
a stock mustang GT runs 12.1 seconds on Motortrend testing
@@aimxdy8680 that's a 2021 Mustang, the only mustangs breaking 12 sec was the gt500r/super snake. My 370z never lost to any fbo mustangs

@@aimxdy8680 you read wayyyy too much into technicals done by professional drivers. I beat cars I shouldn’t be beating in stock 370z all the time. It has to do with the driver and knowing your car.

@@finkdizzle not much since you only fill it when you want. You will need bigger injectors and to be retuned on an e85 map. Alot of VQs go E85

Im making 326whp. I Was in the process of going e85 but now I'm thinking supercharger. I have the gtr injectors and fuel pump just need a install n tune for e85. Then i would likely make 336whp.
@@finkdizzle I bough a 2010 370 7AT an came with a street tune from uprev - stock intakes, cats, everything stock but with the tune and making 312whp supposedly.
The other day I was really surpriced It beat an AT 2013 camaro SS on the top end.
Its said that if we reach 350whp NA or with s/c the new scats, 5.o's or camaros would not have a chance on the top end.
With 312whp right now is hard for them to beat me from a dig 0 to 60 was even VS an scatpack
@@inasimulationwelive the bolt ons don't give much individually. The main help is upgrading the stock cats and ull be in the 320s. Also the whp number varies depending the climate. Up north they make 340whp all day where in the south we make 320s. And the z is great from a dig but top end is where the big v8s shine on us. 60rolls arent very fair but they're fun

@@finkdizzle I installed bigger TB, tricky to tune so better find good tuner and you will notice some rev hang with bigger TB but it's not so bad if tuned properly with good spacer
Edit: TB I installed is 76mm throttle bodies with max port for upper&lower intake manifold
