Ok little tip for anyone having trouble getting Bloodhounds fang, if you go into mistwood you will come across some ruins with a sleeping giant bear and you can hear some howling, go back to the first merchant in the game and new dialogue will open up and he will give you a new gesture, return to the ruins and perform the gesture and a wolf man carrying a colossal greatsword named blaidd will jump down telling you he is hunting down the Bloodhound, when you go back and fight the bloodhound you will see a summoning sign for Blaidd, he TRIVIALIZES the fight. Afterwards he thanks you gives you a sombering smith stone (2) and also tells you if you ever meet a giant blacksmith tell him Blaidd sent you (he is found south of the Carion estate) and when you talk to him and mention Blaidd he will give you a tailsmen that reduces the FP cost of all weapon arts

The bloodhound's fang is easily one of my favorite weapons in the game, it's so absurdly powerful for how easy it is to get and it's weapon art is also one my my favorites as well
One small tip regarding that farm: it's way faster only doing the first ball, unless you got a really slow PC. Run on road until Ball 1 spawns, turn right while keep sprinting and run into the wall on cliff. Then open map and when you hear the shattering sound, teleport back.
I found to get 5000 souls in roughly the same time if not quicker : Go to Warmasters shack, head slightly South East. Kill the 5 trolls there for 1000 souls a pop. On the rune farm, I've only been getting 21 runes on the second stone Edit: finally got it to drop. Both boulders seem to have dead zones where they won't drop runes, the first one just has smaller dead zones. @@bokcgrievous9217 He talked about it in the end of the video, but if you're interested i've found an even better spot, type "Mohgwyn Palace rune farming spot", you can either clear the groups of Albinaurics nearby or shoot and trigger the Giant Crow on the other side of the cliff, and make him fall to his death, both methods will earn you a great amount of runes, i farmed about a dozen levels using them in a short amount of time, as far as i know this is the best farming method in the game.
My best rune farm has been the two giant birds right by the Rotview grace in Caelid. If you have a magic ranged attack you can kill them every time without any danger to yourself, and they give 1700 runes. I can kill both of them in less than 30 seconds with Rock Sling currently and have been able to do so since level 50 or so. You can do this very early, just not as efficiently. My biggest mistake was getting the sword of night and flame, got the levels but that was a waste of precious easily gained levels that would be pretty useless with basically any other weapon. So basically don’t get it early game unless you want to make your entire build around it I would recommend leveling up strength and maybe dexterity first
yeah putting ~40 early game levels into offensive stats instead of building VIT is gonna be painful. low level most damage comes from weapon upgrades, not scaling, so you won’t really see the payoff for the investment for a long time
No icerind hatchet??????? It’s easier to get than sword of night and flame, has lower stat requirements, is dex scaling, and its ability is better. It deals the exact same damage, if not more if you consider frost buildup, and you can spam the shit out of it, you can use its art at least 5 times before you can use two night and flame attacks, it also staggers and deals guard damage, which the night and flame blade can do none of

Thanks for the vid. I've been trying a Spellmage build, and the Sword of Night and Flame seems like it'd be a good fit, even if I'm mostly focusing on Int. Getting that sword just for the weapon skill seems like a decent idea. And with the farming spot for the runes, it's not even gonna be that hard to get the needed Faith for it either!
I read another noob guide that said to increase dex and strength. I've poured all my levels into that. Now I see some cool weapons require a lot of intel and faith.
You don't need to fight the hand monster while getting the sword of night and flame, simply runaway from them. If you have the sword of night and flame, use the flame option of the sword to beat the hound knife boss, it's very easy to beat him like that.
This is the first video I've seen that actually doubles back towards the ball, every other video says to hop off and on torrent which can be very tricky on keyboard and mouse to time correctly. I'd highly recommend this alternate method if you're having trouble with timing the dismount using KB&M.
I am a souls series intermediate player, beat ds3 2 or 3 times, beat Sekiro, now trying to beat Elden ring, and for now, Idk if it's me being used to FromSoft games, or it feels a bit too easy, I beat Godrick, and explored the shit out of the open world. Now I did struggle a couple of times with him, but after that, I went back to do some leveling because I clearly was not prepared for the fight, I mean it would take me 50 light attacks to kill him at least. But when I came back I talked to some chick and she was pissed af at godrick so she wanted his blood and I let her help me with the fight and beat him on the first try.

I just fought the assassin the other day for the first time after 3 play throughs and I was wondering why he only had nearly half health when the fight starts? I thought it was a bug for my run but now I see you went through the same thing.
uhhh you can easily just ride straight past the dragon on the bridge he does a giant scream when u go near him that gives you enough time to just go past hom
I can not tell you how dumb I feel right now. That path off the bridge, at 4:57? Yeah, I had no idea that was there. I’ve just been grinding levels and practicing to try and beat Margit (sorry if I spelled the name wrong) because I thought the only way to get further was to beat him.. I’m still giving to beat him out of spite, but man.. that would have been nice to know a lot earlier lol
I was wondering the same, I also use this weapon. After watching though it appears you L2 spin back and then R2 to teleport forward. I'll test when I'm home.

@@catwithamac2879 they’re good early game practice, when you reach summonwater village and encounter a boss that will give you a special item, talk to the golden helmet man and he’ll mark a spot on your map. this will teleport you to a new area of the map wherein enemies drop more runes and you can farm even with spirit summons in some cases. just remember to go in the temple when you teleport and don’t fight the obvious boss
@@patrickhebdo5423 golden helm guy is in the village after the boss?? Trying to look for the village now
I think I accidentally stumbled in to a rune farm I made 4000 in seconds I just figured out how I did it I lured all the soldiers into the fire pit or I’m bringing all the monsters over to the soldiers they end up fighting and killing each other I get exp I have no clue where I am though impassble gate Bridge figured it out
For the purpose of this video im not going to show you the fastest route to where im going to tell you to go. You just have to figure out the important stuff on tour own. Great job 👏 👍 thanks for the help. Now how the hell do I get to the check point you want me to already have unlocked EARLY GAME.
I had the same issue but this guys vid helped
Get that elden ring map app, there's options to only show where maps are, also where camp fires are( ik ik 🤣). You can figure out a path to camps pretty easy. Stay on horsey to speed along.
Thanks i am getting the game in may so i will definitely use the rune exploit thanks man especially for the dagger idea for the health it will help keep people stocked up on health items so awesome job bro keep it up look forward to the next video.
My biggest mistake was getting the sword of night and flame, got the levels but that was a waste of precious easily gained levels that would be pretty useless with basically any other weapon. So basically don’t get it early game unless you want to make your entire build around it I would recommend leveling up strength and maybe dexterity first
yeah putting ~40 early game levels into offensive stats instead of building VIT is gonna be painful. low level most damage comes from weapon upgrades, not scaling, so you won’t really see the payoff for the investment for a long time
Finished the game with the night and flame its really good at level 10 and does good damage when striking also.
then you didnt really finish the game lmao
🧀
@@Hydromaticss why
@@landonlouthian5884 i have no idea
It not only heals you but it refills 2 flasks
Does it refil Magica flasks?
The second ball in the rune farm only gives me 21 runes. The first one still gives me 1952 consistently.
Same
So happy ur covering elden ring. I still have to finish forbidden west!!
ok
for bloodhounds gang u should summon wolfman (i think thats his name) just let him tank and u attack! search on yt if dont know where to find him
His name is Blaidd
find him near the tower in the forest. But you need to get a gesture from the first merchant to have him appear.
I already have a +14 uchigatana. Im sticking with it because I cant be bothered to upgrade anything else lol
The sword of night of flame is one of the best weapons in the game, has two special attacks, fire and magic.
If ur a confessor I recommend using shadow step and walk right through :)
Bro thanks bloodhounds fang help out a lot and I definitely recommend it for beginners
"*Defeat the massive horde of enemies, and loot the chest in back*"
lmao ok
How did you add electricity to your sword like in 1:08?
@Grammmmiii how do i get that?
@Grammmmiii ok tysm
Funny how I got all of that and been everywhere and didn’t realize what I should’ve been doing
In my opinion the sleeping dragon is a much faster rune farm
I’m so horrible at this game, I literally started and went where ever. I don’t follow no story nothing, I’m lvl 80 and I’m just exploring the map 🤣
my friend was watching me play and the first thing he made me do was get bloodhounds fang, it helped ALOT
No icerind hatchet??????? It’s easier to get than sword of night and flame, has lower stat requirements, is dex scaling, and its ability is better. It deals the exact same damage, if not more if you consider frost buildup, and you can spam the shit out of it, you can use its art at least 5 times before you can use two night and flame attacks, it also staggers and deals guard damage, which the night and flame blade can do none of
Good weapon.
Seems like you know where it's at m8. Share with us.
@@TheeGentleFist on your way to raya lucaria you enter a big ruined town area, from that sight of grace, move southwest until you reach and area on the map that’s still on the lake, pretty big (at least bigger than the ‘islands’ around it) and divided up into small clumps, it should have a location name and everything, it’ll be in there, there are also like 100 guides on youtube, and cause I can’t embed a link, you’ll have to find one
I get the right amount of runes from the first ball but the second one always gives me only 21
The second is possible its just more difficulz than the first
For the rune farm the second one gives me only 21 every time
The bloodhound fang is amazing i have used it to take out most pf the bosses in the game and obviously i have been upgrading it as i go so its a great choice
Yoo I jus got the game and I need abit of help specially with explaining things u got any time ?
@@omarmoftah1950 not today mate i have work but possibly tomorrow arvo
Another benefit for the rune farm is that the boulders can sometimes drop almost 10000 runes if you get lucky
Happened to me once, no clue how
@@lunchmeat7495 I think it’s because every enemy has a chance to spawn with runes, some having a gold glow in their eyes.
Does this method work anymore? I tried it a few times but I didn't get anything
Thank you so much. I was finally able to beat Godrick. I died so many times then I beat it him the first try after getting Bloodhound's Fang
Me too
Great guides as always! Too bad I can’t beat a single boss to acquire some of these weapons, embarrassing! So frustrating
Having that same issue and I'm level 45
@@strcash-fs8of you can't beat any of the bosses at that level? I'm not judging it's just I've recently started and got whooped so grinding to level 25+ to then try as I've been getting rinsed.
@@finnneilson6229 o nah I beat the game already did my grind on new game plus 3
@@strcash-fs8ofgood haha, what do you mean new game plus 3? Any advice for bosses apart from learning patterns? I'm putting most of my points into vigor for health and some into strength and endurance, at the moment mainly just a sword and shield guy but think I might branch out to some magic.
@Finn Neilson I'm a bleed build and I won't even sit here and lie to you... I had some major major help this one guy helped me level up from 178 to 401...being I'm a bleed build I use double God skin peeler
My favorite spot is near a bridge, u run by all the giant wolve monsters, aggro all the soldiers into a fight against run and can jump up the side hill sit there n watch em kill each other then jump down n mop up the rest, grace rinse n repeat
I think it got a big nerf since this vid released
@@HuwPewPew another reason why from soft fucking sucks
I read another noob guide that said to increase dex and strength. I've poured all my levels into that. Now I see some cool weapons require a lot of intel and faith.
You don't need to fight the hand monster while getting the sword of night and flame, simply runaway from them.
If you have the sword of night and flame, use the flame option of the sword to beat the hound knife boss, it's very easy to beat him like that.
I can’t figure out how to get there
lmao@@colinc349
One of best guide specially for forming too, after you got wepaon, without fighting, it took many turns but it was worth
Been farming the same place but near the entrance starting at the foot of the hill working my way up killing the enemies there they’re like 1.2k runes each as well and I just tp back down to the site of grace next to the bridge where the dragon is at and I repeat. saw someone else do it so I checked it out today lol
Just did the whole thing thanks so much for the help can't believe the rune farm still works
started a new game and shot straight for caelid for those last 2 weapons. this is my first souls game so yeah.
For anyone who just doesn’t really wanna go around the long way if you just go through the dragon it won’t attack you
I'm level 71 and I'm still using the starting katana with the samurai class lol. Its leveled up to 10 at the moment though
Me too although i am pretty low level compared to you. I love this katana especially it's skill. My first souls game but thanks to this katana so far i did not face any troubles yet. After watching this video my next weapon will be bloodhound fang.
I recomend the Dragonbarrow fork, the best place to rune farm indeed..
Crimson Dagger + Serpent-God Curved Sword + Royal Remains Set + Blessed Dew Talisman... Never need to waste a flask.

getting the sword of night and flame at lvl 15 best idea ever🔥🔥
bloodhounds fang is fantastic and has an afterimage like a anime
If anyone has any trouble beating that bloodhound fang boss ,just farm longshield from the first guard holding a shield you see next to grace point in gatefront, i beat that the boss very easily with that shield
That's a lie
don'y have to watch the boulder fall to get the runes, as soon as it rolls of cliff i head straight back to the grace site and i get the runes bout half way back to it
On PC you can two hand your weapons by holding E and then pressing the right hand attack.
The sword of night and flame reminds me of Harry Potter when Dumbledore used that flame spell when he was getting the horcrux in the six movie like even the way you move the sword around and a arch
nice video. this would help me with my playthrough thank you👌
Bro ty so much I was stuck at a boss fight and then I got the first sword from this video and then I won🎉
You can just cross the bridge with the dragon if you want to, you can just keep going on horseback and you’ll be find
Thank you so much! This is stellar. Are there any equipment or items that will help raise intelligence to 24? I'm a confessor and only have 12 so far
Insightful video! Thank you ❤
that was very helpful! thanks
I just fought the assassin the other day for the first time after 3 play throughs and I was wondering why he only had nearly half health when the fight starts? I thought it was a bug for my run but now I see you went through the same thing.
same here, easiest boss of my life
For anyone in here wanting to work on a blood build get eleonoras poleblade. It is so good
uhhh you can easily just ride straight past the dragon on the bridge he does a giant scream when u go near him that gives you enough time to just go past hom
Great Video Dennis! Thank you Brother
Its great to see how far your channel has come been here since my obsession with far cry 5 lol
I played 40 hours as a mage, I’m trying to switch it up. Really sucks all the nerfs came by as soon as I went to make another acc
Great info exactly what I was looking for
i noticed with the ball that if you just go back to the grace before it falls it always gives me the runes
bro im like 24h into the game and ive been using the default longsword thank you 💀 (im new to these souls type of games)
How do you make the sword of night and flame burn like that?
I can not tell you how dumb I feel right now. That path off the bridge, at 4:57? Yeah, I had no idea that was there. I’ve just been grinding levels and practicing to try and beat Margit (sorry if I spelled the name wrong) because I thought the only way to get further was to beat him.. I’m still giving to beat him out of spite, but man.. that would have been nice to know a lot earlier lol
Probably the most helpful video I’ve seen so far. Thank you
2 years late but thank you definately gonna subscribe💯💯
love the easter eggs in this game cant imagine how hard the devs worked on this
Quick question how did you use your bloodhound step with the blood fang I thought it already had a ash of war
I was wondering the same, I also use this weapon. After watching though it appears you L2 spin back and then R2 to teleport forward. I'll test when I'm home.
