Is so funny to see all these "beginner's'" guides that are all like "go here to these places all over the map that only experienced players would really know how to get to quickly and then get all these items only experienced players are really going to know how to find and then beat all these particular things that only experienced players are going to recognize how to get to" etc. It's fine for someone's second run through, but "beginner" is a big stretch.
@@ThePorkchopExpress975 lol...what sounds like a me problem? I'm 100% correct that calling something a beginner's guide but then telling people to go places without telling them how to get there is not really "beginner" directions. If you're helping beginners, you should be more thorough and specific. That's true...and it doesn't in any way indicate that I'm a beginner (hint: I'm not).
As someone who just bought the game and hasnt started it yet, i feel like the Gravity sorcerer is gonna be the least amount of struggle for a beginner due to the range and not needing to dodge or parry as much. It also has the cleanest look and i love that theres a melee option in emergencies. Hope theres an endgame version 😅
@@ColdBwoyy Gotcha. I got it later by Googling how to use Ashes of War. But upgrading the weapon to level 9; that takes Smithing Stones. But you don't say anything about it. It's not really a "beginner" guide, more like a redline idea and Google the rest.
I just started playing again and made 3 separate builds to see which is easier/user friendly. Honestly just watch any TitusActual OP early guide (for example). 1.Int/str with that carian knight sword and whatever sorceries + jellyfish shieldan block counters. 2.Arcane/fth regalia of eochaid + dragon communion seal upgraded. Guard counters and whatever faith spells you want. 1.Fth/Str rush to get lightning spear, erd tree seal, +12 upgrade bellbearings and jellyfish for guard counters etc
Tip if you choose the mage build - get either your summons or the meteorite staff before you fight the pumpkin head boss… wasted an hour fighting him ngl
I'm guessing the Dragon's rotten breath incantation gets around some of the issues that bleed builds run into later in the game. I'm definitely going to try out the holy warrior build on my run, faith based magic in combination with a reach weapon sounds right up my alley!
With the holy warrior build, what weapons should I use mid to late game or should I keep the same one? also, what incantations should I use mid to late game?
The Blasphemous Blade that you get for killing Rykard at the Valcano Manor is the weapon to go for 💪🏼 you already have the best incantations to use for DPS. Golden vow would be great for added defense too.
You can also get a stone sword key at the storm end shack site of grace (same place as the jellyfish summon) for free if you didn't pick it as your starting item because you forgot like me!
I always love playing as a mage in rpgs so this video helped a lot since this is my first souls game! However, I was wondering if Moonveil is a nice alternative since I like using different weapons sometimes.
I’ll be honest, in my two playthroughs, killing Old Greyoll the old fashioned way (killing the baby dragons first, thereby reducing his health to 0) is A) much faster and B) much more fun. With Rock Sling already in your inventory, you have the best anti-dragon spell and give or take a couple extra levels before doing it, it’s a way more enjoyable and epic experience. I’d recommend doing that over spending 20+ minutes whacking his tail.
New player here. He mentions in the Samurai portion that he uses Double Slash on his sword. Why earlier in the video does he mention Bloody Slash and Impaling Thrust? You can't use more than one on a weapon or can you?
Bro u used bloodhound fang as a samurai to beat both? Am just stuck with Loretta just before Milenia. Is samurai build good?? Am having same build..samurai with bloodhound fang..
@@bobby19859 I used the nagakiba in my right hand and the uchikatana in my lh. Buff with flame grant me strength and golden vow and make sure both weapons are keen. If you are having trouble i would put nagakiba in lh and find the RoB and put that in rh and make sure to have decent arcane and dex
FYI- At the Castle Morne Rampart the is a cart with a chest where you can loot the Morning Star which is a blood weapon that you can wield 2 handed with like 8 strength so you dont need to waste levels on Dex for the flail. 👍
I've started a new INT run, but I use Uchigatana instead of Carian Knight Sword. I have both but Uchigatana does more damage overall and can cause blood loss. Also, the Radagon Soreseal is a good option for damage initially. Just rush to the end of Fort Faroth to get yours! :D Great video!
5:52 he didn’t mention, use a good picked foot right before you kill it. You have 3 min once it’s activated. Meaning once you kill you’ll get good 30-40% more runes after killing it
Please note: with the elder dragon, you can kill the 4 baby drags and reset, 13k~ runes in less than 3 minutes from 4 baby drags, you ONLY kill the 4 and then site of grace rinse and repeat. its also faster to take the site of grace by the dragon on the bridge and farm both sides of the bridge and reset. 12K runes per cycle, less than 3 minute cycle, dragons are easy as ranged, the mobs by bridge is easy for melee
Are stats not important? Or are they gained through items? I haven't played yet. The game is downloading. This video has me excited about the gravity sorcerer.
@@ColdBwoyy Yes. When I fight Margit the fell of omen. How come when I use one of my summons, I can't use any of my incantations? It gets grayed out for me

Thanks man... I finished game many times and now the dlc but missed do many side quests. Now I will make a fresh start and wont be going up then 150lvl. These builds seem solid enough ❤
Don’t forget to mention that if you quickly kill the dragon and go to the Gracepoint and rest, you can get the ruins and the dragon will still be there very important, but it has to be quick as soon as you kill it as soon as you see that flinch immediately dash to the rest point rest and you’ll get youralso try to make sure you have the golden scarab to get a 20%
Bloodflame looks so good however will it really be efficient in the later game? Like, if I'm already using a bleed build(Nagakiba + uchi) and putting my points in arcane, wouldn't it be more powerful on the long run? Like, is it really worth putting those 7 points in faith(since we starts with 8) when I can invest them in Arcane? Thoughts?
on the faith one you can get black flame blade and speed up killing Greyoll... also on the last hit if you get on torrent and run back to the site of grace you can receive 50k per kill rather than just 100k once, unless they plan to patch this out with the dlc, if so its still active in current patch
Great guides - thank you, new sub. I'm still on fence on using guides like this vs exploring game on my own but the time to find/tailor the builds/gear to this level is just something I'd never have time for sadly. Enjoying Samurai so far (early on) - few questions: 1) How to deal with mobs that require blunt vs blade attacks (crystal cave guys, etc)? 2) What's the standard process/attack flow for re-applying the spells during boss or regular PvE fighting? They go away pretty fast :( 3) Is it worth upgrading starting armor with smithing stones or not really?
1.) crystal enemies are rare but heavy attacks seem to work the best so you can break their posture. 2.) While in combat you usually only have enough time to recast bloodflame. Maybe flame grant me strength if you’re lucky. That’s why it’s good to just nuke bosses right away. 3.) unfortunately you cannot upgrade armor 👍👍👍
Gosh, I wish someone would make videos for what to do when you actually just start the game. I just got access to leveling up and I've been looking for videos on what to do starting now. All these build videos kind of assume you've already leveled up a LOT.
So I’m new to ER but I’m loving it so far and everything it has to offer.. This maybe a dumb question so I apologize in advance but, I saw your spellblade sorcerer build and am interested in making it.. should I start with this gravity sorcerer build here to begin with?
@@ColdBwoyy Hi, do you have any videos explaining how to use incantations and ash of wars? Im new and I dont know how to apply them to the character or weapons
@@kevinsampallo4916 I don’t have a video, but I will try my best to explain here. In order to cast an incantation, you will need a seal. You’ll find about a dozen of these throughout your play through, but the cheapest and most basic one can be purchased from the twin maiden husks at the round table hold. You’ll need to rest at a site of grace, go to memorize spell and equip the incantations you would like to use. Just remember that certain incantations require specific attributes. Once you have a seal, equip it in your left hand and you’ll be able to cast your incantations. Ashes of war are found all throughout the game. To equip an ash of war to your weapon, rest at a site of grace and scroll down to ashes of war. After applying an ash of war to your right hand weapon, you’ll be able to activate it by pressing L2/LT on your controller. Hope this helps!
If your going with the bloodflame one, another good talisman that may atleast require level 50-70 unless your good and can do 30-40, you can go to the first minor erdtree in caelid to get a scorpion charm, it basically a infinite Flame, Grant Me Strength Incantation just with a minor Armor negation took away. greatly recommend it helped me through my recent playthrough.
Great video and really professional adding the location and gameplay of the builds. I’m about to start my journey into Elden Ring and this video really helped me a lot deciding what choices I have to make early game . Just one question if anyone can help me answer it because I don’t really know what is the best option to choose at the very beginning if the golden seed to craft later on healt potions or the key you need to open some places like the turtle talisman. Thanks for the early help and greets from Mexico 🇲🇽
I’m glad you like the build! Well, intelligence, mind, and vigor will always be your main stats. If you want a great intelligence weapon I would go grab the Moonveil katana from the Gael Tunnel boss 👍
Just spent all day creating the holy warrior build - love it. Could you possibly post a video or reply here guiding players on what to upgrade level wise past level 50. I am a new player, and im wondering if I should simply put all of my points into faith to continue scaling with the treespear or if I also should put points into dex, strength, as well since it scales with those too. Im just wary of wasting levels by putting points into the wrong things. I also understand that eventually I'll want to change to the blasphemous blade, correct? Thanks for the awesome build.
Yes! Blasphemous Blade is the best faith weapon in the game. It requires at least 18 strength and 21 faith to wield but it scales evenly with strength and dexterity which means 21 faith is all you need. You can focus a majority of your points into Vigor and strength. Also, the claw mark seal is the seal you would want for the build since it scales with strength and faith, allowing you to actually deal damage with some of your incantations. Hopefully this helps.
@@ColdBwoyy ok so get the claw mark seal, and then level up strength and dex bc the blasphemous blade will scale with those eventually, along with the seal. And until then the treespear scales with strength and dex anyway so it’s fine. Right? So I should not keep putting points into faith.
@@mattg1998-w8q you only need 18 faith to wield the tree spear and it scales equally with strength faith and DEX meaning your damage output will continue to increase to matter which one you prioritize. If I were you I would get your faith to 21 and then do the rest into strength. Ideally getting your strength to 70-80 by the time you’re level 150.

I ended up making a faith/int/strength build and it’s pretty fun being able to use both incantations and sorcery
I mean you got to put some effort in! You’ll be alright 👍
@@ColdBwoyy I've BEEN more than fine. Comment was not an indication I'm a beginner lol
Bro Im playing this with strictly only one hand and I can do it no probs whatsoever
out of the gate i followed a op guide with the bloodhound fang and it wasn’t that difficult. sounds like a you problem
When you kill the dragon run back to the grace rest quickly then you will get the runes and the dragon will respawn so you can keep doing it ! 6:10
Did the blood fang samurai. I'm just deciding on what one to do next.
Great video, by the way. Professional done, in my opinion.
I'm trying out a magic build for the first time. This should be a good start. Thanks :)
Hope you enjoy it! Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
@@ColdBwoyywhy does my faith weapon not light like yours
As someone who just bought the game and hasnt started it yet, i feel like the Gravity sorcerer is gonna be the least amount of struggle for a beginner due to the range and not needing to dodge or parry as much. It also has the cleanest look and i love that theres a melee option in emergencies. Hope theres an endgame version 😅
If you watch my spellblade sorcerer build video, it’s an end game version of the gravity sorcerer 👍
@@ColdBwoyy thank you 😊 🙏
I just got into Elden ring, it’s my first souls game and i absolutely am obsessed with it! Thank you for the guide this helped a lot!
Thank you so much for watching 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Great guide, but the small things you forgot, like how to get a Whetstone Knife to actually apply an Ash of War.
I think I just naturally got it don’t remember needing to grab it
@@ColdBwoyy Gotcha.
Dude this video has been what my whole game has been revolving around and its worked wonders. Tysm for the guide
Thank you so much for watching 🙏🏻
With the holy warrior build, what weapons should I use mid to late game or should I keep the same one? also, what incantations should I use mid to late game?
The Blasphemous Blade that you get for killing Rykard at the Valcano Manor is the weapon to go for 💪🏼 you already have the best incantations to use for DPS. Golden vow would be great for added defense too.
Meteor staff was fixed. It now requires a massive amount of int to get its damage. The gravity spells now hit like wet noodles.
It’s a good staff and spell for early game. Will need to be changed for mid-end game

Watching all these after 5 years have me miss playinn the game for the first time
Such an incredible game
I haven't played in a while, but the fact that the sleeping dragon still works is amazing lmfao
Right? 😂
Yes the Moonveil is a great weapon 👍
Bloody slash and impaling thrust are good ashes of war to use before you get double slash
@@ColdBwoyy thank you!
Just wanted to say that your Bloodflame Samurai build plus a bunch of changes helped me beat Malenia and Mohg Lord of Blood!
Job well done 💪🏼 thanks for commenting 😎
I’ve been struggle trying to play this game blind. Now I’m definitely gonna have to use the holy warrior build
Let me know how it works out for you!
Great video, saved this to my Playlist to rewatch as I'm playing.
Thank you so much 🙏🏻
I've started a new INT run, but I use Uchigatana instead of Carian Knight Sword. I have both but Uchigatana does more damage overall and can cause blood loss.
Also, the Radagon Soreseal is a good option for damage initially. Just rush to the end of Fort Faroth to get yours! :D
Great video!
Thanks Henrique 🙏🏻
Thank you for the video!! Going to try out the samurai build. I haven’t played Souls in ages.

While you're getting double slash get the "Redmane" painting, then get rain of arrows, it will be amazing to have on your bow.
I just started, i followed the mage guide. Having fun slashing and slinging spells everywhere. Instead of getting steamed rolled like before.
Glad to hear that!

I just got the sorcerer's build done. Im really looking forward to try him out

@@ColdBwoyynot op but gravity mage because I'm too scaredy cat to fight up close with melee lol
Thoughts?
I think what you have will work great 👍
on the faith one you can get black flame blade and speed up killing Greyoll... also on the last hit if you get on torrent and run back to the site of grace you can receive 50k per kill rather than just 100k once, unless they plan to patch this out with the dlc, if so its still active in current patch
Also the Radagon soreseal in the fort right near Greyoll
Great guides - thank you, new sub. I'm still on fence on using guides like this vs exploring game on my own but the time to find/tailor the builds/gear to this level is just something I'd never have time for sadly. Enjoying Samurai so far (early on) - few questions:
1) How to deal with mobs that require blunt vs blade attacks (crystal cave guys, etc)?
2) What's the standard process/attack flow for re-applying the spells during boss or regular PvE fighting? They go away pretty fast :(
3) Is it worth upgrading starting armor with smithing stones or not really?
1.) crystal enemies are rare but heavy attacks seem to work the best so you can break their posture.
2.) While in combat you usually only have enough time to recast bloodflame. Maybe flame grant me strength if you’re lucky. That’s why it’s good to just nuke bosses right away.
3.) unfortunately you cannot upgrade armor
👍👍👍
if its not too late, i would just play it normal first and if u have problems/ get bored/ or beat it on your own then try a new build
Gosh, I wish someone would make videos for what to do when you actually just start the game. I just got access to leveling up and I've been looking for videos on what to do starting now. All these build videos kind of assume you've already leveled up a LOT.

I would do the golden seed just because the stone sword key can be purchased from the twin maiden husks at the round table hold
after leveling the gravity sorc build past 50 what should my focus be? thank you so much you saved me today!

Side note: you do not need to level up both strength AND dex. Only strength as long as you meet the minimum requirement for dex
@@ColdBwoyy thanks so much, that’s where my confusion was. I have heard people mention “soft caps” and such and spreading around points but I don’t really understand it. Thanks, I’ll put my points into strength and grab that seal. Appreciate all the help.
