After dealing with the monstrous original Xbox control and Microsoft experimenting with different ideas and concepts using We the People that buy the products they release to see if it works or not or if it sells well to just put something else out to replace the garbage we consumed, hated, and burned to make more money off of us I dropped their consoles.

The stick placement makes a lot of sense on the Xbox. The left stick is higher because it is easier to run forward as your thumb is already in the perfect position, and the right stick is down as it needs more precision for aiming/looking.
I'm just used to the ps4 controller. For me it's a lot easier to aim, and on the Xbox the analog sticks get kind of slippery and my thumbs fall off. It's probably just me lol but I cannot play on the Xbox controller

The "loudness" comes from a more satisfying button press. It's the difference between a traditional keyboard and a laptop keyboard. Loudness as a result is negligible.

It works great for 3d games but it ALSO works wonderfully well for 2d games and fighting games. The Xbox One on the other hand is really great for 3d games, but when it comes to 2d, side scrolling, fighting, etc. it's significantly worse, and that's because of the placement of the sticks and the dpad. What some people consider the Xbox's advantage I consider its disadvantage. Even if you prefer the analog stick at the top half of the controller, you gotta admit that it's only slightly better; the PS4 stick placement is still fine. However, for 2D, fighting, and other classic genres, the dualshock 4 has a significant advantage. Overall the dualshock 4 is the more versatile controller, it works great for pretty much all kinds of games, whereas the Xbox's only really shines in games that rarely use the dpad.
I always loved PlayStation controllers until I got the 2nd generation controllers for the first Xbox. That basic design is what they still use and its fantastic. tbh, I have played PS4 once in my life and play Xbox as a main console, and from my experience, the Xbox controller is way better, the Analog Sticks are perfectly placed, the triggers are easier to push, it fits in your hand perfectly, ofc its preference and opinion.
Jacob if you are wearing a headset the amount of noise from the controller doesn't matter and if anything hearing the buttons would help me because it's confirmation that the button clicked.

I hate that you have to recharge the ps4 controller. Much easier to have a pack of 4 rechargeable batteries with the Xbox controller and just swap them out and always have them charged and ready
@@snipethestreamerairsoft9077 they're cheap though. The benefit of that is that you can just easily swap them out for a fresh pair and continue without having to be connected to charge. The downside of course being that you have to buy them and swap them out, have a charger for them etc. which I guess is just unpractical for most people. I am waging on which one to buy, and using rechargeable batteries is actually a benefit for me as I always have loads of rechargeable batteries laying around (the benefits of being a photographer), though I do like the simplicity of just a having a built in battery.

Personally prefer the Xbox layout much more, the analog sticks and triggers are much more natural and fluid and the analog sticks have an indent for you thumbs where as the PS4 analog sticks have a bubble that seems to push my thumbs off. PlayStation makes a great console and has a great lineup of games, but for me at least Xbox takes the cake with their controllers in terms of options of customization, their UI is easy and clean, and they have forza so....

As an Xbox player, I can agree with you on some of the stuff, my friend has an PS4 and the one issue I have when I play on it is the thumb sticks, it feel odd to me and idk why.
I'm tired of this myth that you need to buy batteries for an Xbox controller. Look at the top of the back of the Xbox controller there is a place where you can plug in a micro USB charger and play as a wired controller.

As someone who’s always played Xbox I recently got a PS4 (for the exclusives) and honestly I kinda prefer the feel and look of the dual-shock, I’m still getting used to the back triggers but one thing Xbox does better is the design of the thumb sticks, it just feels grippier and more accurate I think it’s because the sticks are taller and more raised on Xbox where as PS4 controller is lower but I can imagine something like kontroll freaks would fix that 🤷♂️

try to relax your palm completely and imagine you are holding a xbox controller, you can see that your thumb is already on the left analog, means that if you are using dualshock 4 you have to move your entire thumb to reach the dualshock's left analog so the ergonomic of dualshock sucks for real
Its totally personal preference. I'm using xbox one s controller in last 4 years. Still my hand can't adjust xbox left analog stick position. DS4 analog stick position is more suitable for me. So, my opinion is both are very good controller. Use it, what you feel comfortable most.

tbh, I have played PS4 once in my life and play Xbox as a main console, and from my experience, the Xbox controller is way better, the Analog Sticks are perfectly placed, the triggers are easier to push, it fits in your hand perfectly, ofc its preference and opinion.

The left analog stick scientifically better than it being lower. Your thumb has more dexterity and flexibility when its higher, making for more comfortable quicker movements

The Switch Pro Controller is like the most confortable of them. But the Dpad is awful, like it‘s comfortable but its responding, oh boy.
I hate that you have to recharge the ps4 controller. Much easier to have a pack of 4 rechargeable batteries with the Xbox controller and just swap them out and always have them charged and ready
A very important feature of the xbox controller you missed, is that it's out of the box compatible with pc and even android devices.

The downside of course being that you have to buy them and swap them out, have a charger for them etc. which I guess is just unpractical for most people.
I am waging on which one to buy, and using rechargeable batteries is actually a benefit for me as I always have loads of rechargeable batteries laying around (the benefits of being a photographer), though I do like the simplicity of just a having a built in battery.

Personally prefer the Xbox layout much more, the analog sticks and triggers are much more natural and fluid and the analog sticks have an indent for you thumbs where as the PS4 analog sticks have a bubble that seems to push my thumbs off. PlayStation makes a great console and has a great lineup of games, but for me at least Xbox takes the cake with their controllers in terms of options of customization, their UI is easy and clean, and they have forza so....

Honestly great video really covered all categories but I don’t think videos like these hold be put on UA-cam cause at the end of the day day it comes to personal preference I’ve been on PS4 Xbox and pc and to this day I switch between the both controllers while playing COD or whatever there both great and both consoles are great (but pc is always gonna be the best)

I'm tired of this myth that you need to buy batteries for an Xbox controller. Look at the top of the back of the Xbox controller there is a place where you can plug in a micro USB charger and play as a wired controller.
Yeah and just buy a battery pack once to recharge to 100% in about an hour which will work for about 3-4 hours and will last you multiple years with no need of a lead

Everyone just saying. Both of them are good and bad. It depends on personal preference. I prefer PS4 cause the feel and the anolog sticks feel more normal.
i’ve been ps4 ever since 360, however, the other day after being round a friends house, i was shocked to feel how much smoother and consistent the tension is on his XB1 controller. it feels so perfect and clean whereas ps4 feels more sticky and not as natural. wish i never switched.

As someone who’s always played Xbox I recently got a PS4 (for the exclusives) and honestly I kinda prefer the feel and look of the dual-shock, I’m still getting used to the back triggers but one thing Xbox does better is the design of the thumb sticks, it just feels grippier and more accurate I think it’s because the sticks are taller and more raised on Xbox where as PS4 controller is lower but I can imagine something like kontroll freaks would fix that 🤷♂️

The Xbox controller has more bulk than the PS4 controller and PS4 is smaller which means it's easier to reach for 3 year olds but anyway why are three year olds playing games
try to relax your palm completely and imagine you are holding a xbox controller, you can see that your thumb is already on the left analog, means that if you are using dualshock 4 you have to move your entire thumb to reach the dualshock's left analog so the ergonomic of dualshock sucks for real
Its totally personal preference. I'm using xbox one s controller in last 4 years. Still my hand can't adjust xbox left analog stick position. DS4 analog stick position is more suitable for me. So, my opinion is both are very good controller. Use it, what you feel comfortable most.
