Since recently becoming a PC gamer, I've sort of left my Xbox One S to my brother and forgot about it but watching this video just reminded me that if my parents didn't get me that One S for my birthday in 2017, I would have never become a gamer. The years I spent on that thing playing in my living room created a bond with it that whenever I'm told the new Playstation is better than the Xbox in every conceivable way, will make me always side with the Xbox. Anyone remember when Netflix had party mode?? Me and the random friends I made on 360 would all go on Netflix together and watch funny shows. They used yours and your friends avatars and made it seem like we were at the theatre! It was actually pretty dope
Sony’s dominance in the gaming industry was something of a masterstroke in how they studied the competition and created a brand that is so iconic nowadays. I’ve never owned an Xbox, I’ve always been a PlayStation and Nintendo kinda guy, but when I remember playing Halo on my friend’s Xbox 360 and Xbox One, I’m honestly intrigued by what Microsoft has been able to accomplish with the Xbox brand. They had the capital backing to make risks of course, but the level of creativity shown off across the generation here is so incredibly cool to see. Even if Xbox doesn’t have the killer AAA IPs that we know from PlayStation (both first and third party releases), you can see how people can resonate with Xbox as a brand, but also as their personal choice for gaming with friends, and I think the latter is what people remember most, the idea of coming home to play with your best mates at school, work, etc.

@@GFE. Returnal was a good game. Ratchet and Clank was very good and fun as well, so was the Astro Robot included game although not many hours long. Another game i loved was Kena the Bridge of Spirits. Other than that as you said it the usual suspects like Spiderman, God of War and Horizon. Gran Turismo 7 is top notch at what it does and is now becoming a full killer app with PSVR2. There was also the Last of US 2 that was after 2018 i believe but i don't know if it's considered a great game or not. Although i don't know how you can say "same shit" exactly when Horizon, Spider Man are basically the second title and the other not even that.
I must say I respect you a lot for figuring out how to keep me watching for the full sponsored segment of the video Arun! Wow, it's amazing to see someone with such a passion for collecting! While I'm not much of a gamer myself, I'm always interested in learning about different hobbies and interests
I still have an Xbox 360 slim and it's still fun to play on every once in a while. Great video I love how you show the development of tech and how fast we have gone.
I grew up on xbox 360 kinect - my first console when I was 4. I also had a dsi, so i never really considered myself an xbox, PlayStation or Nintendo gamer. now i'm older, i'm a pc gamer, but i still play my 360 sometimes
15:05 I feel like I'm the only one noticing this. In the chart there's an original Xbox where a 360 should go and a fat PS2 where the original Xbox should go lol. Other than that fantastic video. It really puts things into perspective and brings back good memories!
The thing I like the best about the Xbox One is that even though there's been 4-ish consoles after it, you can still use it with everything that is new, and play with your friends on the new consoles too!
Don't know you or your channel. Obvious algorithm's for Xbox led me here. This video was the epitome of honest jealousy and happiness. I have owned every Xbox sans the Series S/X. I have had the pleasure of opening each one. I have felt all these emotions over 22 years. You cheated with your YT money, shopped for a week, spent thousands of dollars to make a video about buying/opening/testing each one, and absolutely earned my subscribe! lol Serious though, I have never heard of you but congrats on your success. This was an amazing video and although I am happily jealous, you really made a time capsule for this genre and the Xbox.
As someone who's owned each generation from the original Xbox to the XSX I love this break down of them all. I would have also mentioned local LAN parties with the original Xbox. It was the only way to play multi-player with more than 4 people. If I remeber correctly you could hook 4 Xbox consoles together and on 4 Tv's play with 16 people at one time.
gotta admit, that ending shot was strangely satisfying. Just seeing all the xbox in one shot. From past to present, was just awesome. Microsoft truly came a long way
Your relevance never gets lesser! It's hard for a tech channel to be as relevant and interesting as possible, but Arun you just nail it everytime for real! Keep up the good work :)
The fact he has a SEALED 360 with Blades Dashboard is insane. Now it’s not the oldest Blades Dashboard because it originally didn’t have the Marketplace built into it like it did on his. This was actually one of the last things added to the dashboard before they released the one we have today on the 360
Your videos are so polished, so much work and effort. Great job as always. My favorite has been the original xBox, it was the most problem free setup. HDD was more than enough for the games and the saves. I miss that console.
By in large the thing I miss most about older generation games and consoles was the simple task of just popping in a game, and playing. No downloads, no dependence on a network or signing in. Just buy, or RENT, and play. Easy.
I couldn’t feel the joy of any console or computer, I’m almost in high school and my dad said I am not allowed to buy a console or a computer until I am in college 😢
Let’s appreciate all the work that went into this video. The custom colour theme, the insane editing and how he covers everything about each console. Props to the team. 👍
I envy your ability to get all these cool tech collections, that's not to say I don't understand the work you've put in over the years that has given you that ability. At least you're sharing them with us :).
Really cool series Arun. This reminds me of all the consoles i owned. Started on an apple LC iii. Used to play on the Megadrive in France at my friend's house, then N64, then bought a ps1, Dreamcast, ps2 and ps3. Then built a sick PC. Great memories.
I am more than a little embarrassed to have owned almost every console in this video over the years. I've had every XBOX since the 360 which was an upgrade from my PS2.
my first xbox was the 360 E and it was just so cool to see the differences between my favorite console franchise, from the 360 to the original to the xbox one, such a journey ive had.
2:46 fun fact about the startup animation, it was rendered fresh each time you booted the console. That isn't a video or pre rendered scene playing, it was rendered in real time which was cool. Technically could be slightly different every time.
I've owned Xbox since the first. I have One-S right now, love it, no plans to upgrade. And I use it for 99% entertainment. And even ten years later this machine is still awesome.
You did such an outstanding job making this video, really I personally never give complements to any UA-camr but I couldn't resist and decided to comment. Thank you so much for all these amazing informations and for taking us back all the way to 2001 when I had my first Xbox till today.
The thing I love about your videos, aside from the production value being so good, is that overall its so obvious that you do videos like this with tech because you genuinely love it. It's this feeling of glee that comes through, like a kid opening gifts on Christmas. And that's true whether it's the newest and fanciest mobile, a trip down memory lane, or something a bit more ridiculous. I never get bored watching your content!
Its refreshing to hear someone correctly call it a magazine, and not a clip. Also, whatever you do don't update that 360! The blades dashboard is ultra rare and so difficult to find on a 360.
Love seeing you enjoy taking a trip through the history of Xboxes! Also, remember to always *try* to be happy. Even if you feel upset, it's ok, whatever is bothering you will someday get better even through hardships. Always remember there are people out there who love you, and can help you!

The years I spent on that thing playing in my living room created a bond with it that whenever I'm told the new Playstation is better than the Xbox in every conceivable way, will make me always side with the Xbox.
Thanks Aron for this nostalgic throwback that I'm sure others also felt❤
Keep up these vids!!!😁👍
the funny thing is, the playstaion isnt better then the new xbox. we got better graphics etc
@@elementofliving i get you, we have opposite experience, when i played on the ps5 it was slow and glitchy. Its not really an argument, its just a fact. I'm not saying its a HUGE difference, its a small difference but its a fact. i guess we play different exclusives.
@element the Series S and X are night and day I know I have the PS5, S and X, if you are going to compare you have to compare the X and PS5, the Series S is the bargain console.
@Alex Tobola well up until now Sony doesn't have PS5 slim. The series S standing all alone
Arun on 360: Feels like a PC you connect to your TV
Arun on One: I almost want it to feel more like a console, and a little bit less like a PC
So which is it?
What killer games ps released exclusive on ps4/ps5 after GOW 2018 none god of war rangnrok , horizon 2 demon souls ... etc copy paste of same shit before 2018 even sony lost it touch last 4 years gaming is dead these days only very less games and im not a nintendo fan
@@GFE. Clearly you haven't broadened your horizons to appreciate other games.
@@SIPEROTH Well said, nice examples there.
@GFE are there any killer games on Xbox other than halo and forza
I'm unable to speak, this man is a living legend, that whole series would've been impossible to pull off by even the richest UA-camrs
My Personal Favorite XBOX 360 🤩🤩🥳
I must say I respect you a lot for figuring out how to keep me watching for the full sponsored segment of the video Arun! This is the first time that I didn't immediately click away all because I wanted to see that shot of all the consoles. Not to mention that you presented the information for the sponsor in a very educational and catching way. Well done! You keep improving yourself with every video you post!
Wow, it's amazing to see someone with such a passion for collecting! While I'm not much of a gamer myself, I'm always interested in learning about different hobbies and interests
You should get into gaming. It's fun
@@lorddoma6637 most people like me get obsessed with it and its kinda bad for your health then i must say

You put in so much effort in your videos that I always feel it's my duty to watch as soon it drops ☺️
15:05 I feel like I'm the only one noticing this. In the chart there's an original Xbox where a 360 should go and a fat PS2 where the original Xbox should go lol. Other than that fantastic video. It really puts things into perspective and brings back good memories!
was looking for a comment that would have noticed this too
@@qpji love your OG Xbox 360 profile pic. Classy.
The Red Ring of death gives me nightmares, kids today will never know.
I had it, my original Xbox 360 died in 2014. Got thé 360E as a replacement. Thé best 360 console hands down.
@@didiervancampo9384was the 360E used or brand new?
@@cripkip8472 brand new for 185 euro🙂👍. Love it and use it till this day. Have thé one S, one x and series X but thé 360E holds a special place🙂.
The thing I like the best about the Xbox One is that even though there's been 4-ish consoles after it, you can still use it with everything that is new, and play with your friends on the new consoles too!
I’m gonna be honest this touched my heart as an Xbox gamer well done
You’ve got to love the old dashboard on the 360
Don't know you or your channel. Obvious algorithm's for Xbox led me here. This video was the epitome of honest jealousy and happiness. I have owned every Xbox sans the Series S/X. I have had the pleasure of opening each one. I have felt all these emotions over 22 years.
You cheated with your YT money, shopped for a week, spent thousands of dollars to make a video about buying/opening/testing each one, and absolutely earned my subscribe! lol
Serious though, I have never heard of you but congrats on your success.
15:12 I didn’t know the Xbox looked so similar to a ps2! Insane!
It was a mistake
You have a gods eye bro
If your not using the xbox series x send it my way 😂😂😂😢😂😂😂
No me pls
gotta admit, that ending shot was strangely satisfying. Just seeing all the xbox in one shot. From past to present, was just awesome. Microsoft truly came a long way
15:05 original sony xbox 2
Your relevance never gets lesser! It's hard for a tech channel to be as relevant and interesting as possible, but Arun you just nail it everytime for real! Keep up the good work :)
The fact he has a SEALED 360 with Blades Dashboard is insane. Now it’s not the oldest Blades Dashboard because it originally didn’t have the Marketplace built into it like it did on his. This was actually one of the last things added to the dashboard before they released the one we have today on the 360
10:19 that reaction😂😂😂
SO GLAD THIS CAME OUT! I've loved this series
love the this series but did u notice on min 15:09 that the xbox is an PS2 and the 360 is a xbox one ?

Your videos are so polished, so much work and effort. Great job as always.
My favorite has been the original xBox, it was the most problem free setup. HDD was more than enough for the games and the saves. I miss that console.
If you want easy to set up, try getting a Plug & Play.
By in large the thing I miss most about older generation games and consoles was the simple task of just popping in a game, and playing. No downloads, no dependence on a network or signing in. Just buy, or RENT, and play. Easy.
Your video editor deserves a raise! And you do too, for immersion of talking so vastly about this subject.
15:05 pause and look at the names and consoles

I never could experience those consoles so knowing about them is so cool! Keep on going Arun!
My whole childhood is the Xbox 360
I couldn’t feel the joy of any console or computer, I’m almost in high school and my dad said I am not allowed to buy a console or a computer until I am in college 😢

Really cool series Arun. This reminds me of all the consoles i owned. Started on an apple LC iii. Used to play on the Megadrive in France at my friend's house, then N64, then bought a ps1, Dreamcast, ps2 and ps3. Then built a sick PC. Great memories.

2:46 fun fact about the startup animation, it was rendered fresh each time you booted the console. That isn't a video or pre rendered scene playing, it was rendered in real time which was cool. Technically could be slightly different every time.
How different?

I've owned Xbox since the first. I have One-S right now, love it, no plans to upgrade. And I use it for 99% entertainment. And even ten years later this machine is still awesome.
One S is underrated!
You did such an outstanding job making this video, really I personally never give complements to any UA-camr but I couldn't resist and decided to comment. Thank you so much for all these amazing informations and for taking us back all the way to 2001 when I had my first Xbox till today.

Same it is so nostalgic
The thing I love about your videos, aside from the production value being so good, is that overall its so obvious that you do videos like this with tech because you genuinely love it. It's this feeling of glee that comes through, like a kid opening gifts on Christmas. And that's true whether it's the newest and fanciest mobile, a trip down memory lane, or something a bit more ridiculous. I never get bored watching your content!

Its refreshing to hear someone correctly call it a magazine, and not a clip. Also, whatever you do don't update that 360! The blades dashboard is ultra rare and so difficult to find on a 360.
