The blocks that you see on the PS2 weren’t always the same for every person. That was based off of how much data you have saved in your memory card. For example, the less saved data you had the less blocks that would appear on the screen. If there’s no memory card or no saved data, no blocks would show up on the screen.

The PS2 blocks only happened if you had a memory card in it, the more blocks/towers in the intro means more data stored on the memory card.
