@@jrob0021 Hm, must have gotten compressed in the email, maybe I'll just send another email with a link to it. Either way, yes, it does mention that serviced Xenons have fixed GPUs, as well as distinguishing Jaspers from Tonaskets and the different Corona revisions.
4:27 game stop didn’t mess with the seal, i had a fat 360 (with the seal) and over time humid temperatures can slowly cause the back plastic to mold out of the console’s frame. Those little clips in the back also break and snap off easily as well.
Serviced consoles are reliable. Any Xenon or Zephyr with a Service date sticker is reliable as they all get new reliable GPUs to replace the old defective ones with low tg underfill. You've gotten lucky with the Halo 3 console.
Saying I don't care is just BS. I haven't followed the xbox 360 modding community in almost a decade and I make videos on so many different types of consoles that I can't possibly know everything about every console. This happens with literally every type of console - I make a video on X console, and someone that knows everything about that specific console decides to comment and tell me that I'm not knowledgeable or don't care etc. just because I don't know everything about that specific type of console. I also get so much varying info across different comments, that I honestly take every comment with a grain of salt at this point. How am I supposed to know who is correct and who is not? I'm sure both of you know way more than I do about 360s, and I've never claimed to be an expert, I just think consoles are cool. I'm open to learning new info about any console I come across, but there's just no way I can possibly know or remember every detail about every console. Just giving you my perspective.
The wireless receiver they gave you with the white console is actually for computers to function with Xbox 360 controllers. It is almost as high in price as the consol itself.
honestly back in the day. if you bought a white xbox 360 it was pretty much on a limited time frame due to all the quality control issues. if you bought a limited edition they often did not have issues at all for their higher premium.
My 360 was the black series of the console, kept it until the Xbox One released, waited a year or two, switched over to the Xbox One and I bought the Xbox Series X about two to three years ago and my Series X still acts brand spanking new.
Those consoles are honestly better than I thought. Sure one was broken, but when you eventually got a replacement it did work well. Can't say I've bought any consoles from them ever, but seems like a pretty good haul for your standards from GameStop
Xenons and Zephyrs can be reliable if they have been serviced by Microsoft in mid 2008 and later. That’s when they started using good GPUs. That Halo 3 console should be good even though it is a Zephyr motherboard.
You guys are insane if you think a Gamestop employee is bothering with that. Pop it open how they showed you, take the old thing out, put the new thing in, turn it on to see if it works, boom done! (Don't actually test it, just turn it on.) That's how you Gamestop refurbish. Ain't no one around there taking their time to heat gun a sticker.
Look at some of my old gamestop videos and you'll see. They use magic eraser on a lot of their consoles to "clean" them but it just scratches them up like crazy.
I believe they also did a Halo 4 xbox that made a special sound when you turned it on. A buddy of mine got that system and game on release. Wish I could go back and play that game on that system again. Those were the days.
Honestly not bad pricing for the limited edition consoles, it’s GameStop though so not necessarily reliable. Several years ago I had to go back and forth to GameStop 4 times in one day because when I bought a refurbished xbox 360 they were all non functional, the kicker is when I asked them to test in store they said “it’s against our policy” that was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a GameStop. Midnight releases will always hold fond memories though so at least there’s that.
I can see someone defeating those warranty stickers with a heat gun and a thin wedge or spudger, as long as you keep one end adhered to the inside of the case upon closing you can apply fresh adhesive or reflow what's there again upon closing just keep the opposite end stuck to the spudger as you pull it up so it aligns itself cleanly with the seam without wrinkles then lay it sticker side down while applying a final round of heat to get it to seat cleanly back on as they pull the tool out of the seam.
It’s really annoying to see so many know it alls who just itch to comment negative things under your videos. It’s clear that you’re very interested in this stuff, but there’s no way you can know absolutely every detail about every console and piece of hardware.. 8:40- if I’m not mistaken, this cable doesn’t charge the batteries, it makes your wireless controller to wired, so you can play without batteries at all
With the right heat and adhesive you can remove the sticker and put it back on like nothing ever happened. Me and my buddies use to do this back during the early modding days before the ban wave went out.
Hey. Gamestop worker here. Those consoles are pre-owned and not refurbished. You can tell by the stickers on the boxes that, yes, someone did look at it and signed off on the console after it's been wiped. That's why the warranty stickers are still on. It is not refurbished.

I quite literally have the receipt right here stating it was refurbished. Come on now. Also, if you're referring to the literal stickers slapped on the box that say preowned - they mean nothing. I've seen many stickers that say both pre-owned and GSRF (gamestop refurbished). Or in some cases a preowned sticker, as well as another sticker that says refurbished. The taps had to get harder and harder over time to the point i had a sock wrapped around the head of a wrench and had to beat the daylights out of it until it read the disk. 🥲
3:00 I use the same controller and dongle for my pc but mines white that and I swapped out the crappy buttons for oem ones I had on a broken controller
Refurbished from gamestop doesnt always mean they opened the console if you trade a console with a abroken controller it gets sent to the wearhouse where theyll just pair it with a workin one and send it back out with the same refurb sticker
What will always be hilarious is generally 9 out of 10 times the people who cry about the "quality" of used consoles from gamestop are the ones who bring in their dirty, funky, nasty garbage trash and expect the stores to take it from them. The ONLY people who have any room to complain about getting funky consoles from Gamestop are the actual decent human beings who actually clean their items before bringing them in and those people were SUUUUUPPPPER rare. I cannot count the number of trash human beings who brought in nasty, dirty, weed, poop, "yellow liquid" stained, controllers missing chunks filth to trade for drug money and then had a fit when we refused to take it. OR people that brought in a ton of trash with their RROD console hoping and praying there wouldn't be time to actually test the console

The taps had to get harder and harder over time to the point i had a sock wrapped around the head of a wrench and had to beat the daylights out of it until it read the disk. 🥲
it is so weird it is almost 20 years old

I use the same controller and dongle for my pc but mines white that and I swapped out the crappy buttons for oem ones I had on a broken controller
The adapter receiver is actually a adapter to connect a 360 controller to PC
Refurbished from gamestop doesnt always mean they opened the console if you trade a console with a abroken controller it gets sent to the wearhouse where theyll just pair it with a workin one and send it back out with the same refurb sticker
thank youtube for the playback speed setting. giving me an anurysm
They should be embarrassed? Knock it off. They’ll never be embarrassed, this has been going on for years.
So that wireless dongle you got in the box is actually to use a 360 controller on PC these days they're harder to find so it's not a bad get
Wow, a mint condition green Halo Xbox 360 console from GameStop, isn't that just sweet of them? 😊😂
The receiver was for xbox360 controllers to connect to a pc or laptops
