Thank you for this. I have been having debilitating back pain for the past 2 days. Can barely walk for long periods. It feels like i am disconnected, hard to explain. Then my anxiety takes over. This peri meno has been hell for me.
I've been dealing with back pain for years but now at 51 and in menopause I definitely feel it much worse. I Thought it was my fibromyalgia but yes now it makes sense. Yoga yoga yoga and ice pack when it's really bad has helped me with some of the pain thou. Brisk walking I use to be able to do and would help but now sometimes it just aggravates it more which saddens me because I used to be a runner and had to settle with brisk walking due to bad knees now even that I really can't do like I used to. But I suggest yoga for sure. Everyone stay safe🙏💕 thanks again Ava for another great video😚😊 be blessed🙏❤
Menopause in general causes much discomfort in many ways. Pain is sometimes due to stress. I found my pain is way worse when I have anxiety or it rains.
Hi, today's video was exactly what I needed to hear. I've been working from home these past 2 weeks due to the pandemic. Was probably sitting badly, and for too long periods. Now I've a bad lower back pain for 4 days now. At 54, having quite a few menopausal symptoms. What you're describing sounds like my situation. Is devil's claw a tea? Are there any other herbs I can use? Or gel? Thanks.
Hi E Yes, I am feeling the strain at my home desk too! Devils Claw is a herbal remedy recommended for joint and muscle aches and pains, we have it in a tincture and tablet. You could also apply the Arnica Gel www.avogel.co.uk/herbal-remedies/arnica-gel-atrogel/ www.avogel.co.uk/herbal-remedies/devils-claw-atrosan/
It helps me to take a hot bath and gently lean forward in tub, as if to touch toes, to slowly stretch the area while bathing...then I apply a lavender essential oil mixture on my lower back before toweling off ... Thank you Eileen for these informative and comforting video blogs...you are an Earth Angel♡♡♡
Omg thank you for this video I am 49 and I am having really bad lower back pain, hip pain, and my legs also pains geeezzzz Perimenopause is not nice. I would be doing what you suggest. Thank you.
I have very bad anxiety and I have been going into Peri menopause now I think as 49 this year and I'm having two periods a month plus lower back pain which I have never had !! 😟👎
You just described my back in detail😆 I use a heat or ice pack for about 20 mins and the strectching help and I also find if I'm dehydrated both the leg and back pain acts up😫
Don't forget electrolytes in your water when rehydrating. Poor quality water is not a good option. But yes great information and advice here.. I have such bad backache and leg ache and can see how everything you mention here relates. How I wish I could afford natural hormone replacement therapy but it is scandalously priced and not easy to access here in Ireland. I hate taking the synthetic hrt.. it has finally ended the flushes and sweats but I fear its going to lead to or contribute to other issues.; inflammation for a start...
Hello A.Vogal UK , I've been watching a lot of your videos and there are all very informative which is a blessing so a big thank you to you 😇😇 I do have one question how come I've a pinky red scalp , I have tried all different shampoos over a number of weeks but nothing seems to help, I have searched Google but no help there as my scalp is not irritable just pinky red, hope you can help 😇😇😀😀
Hi Della May be an allergic reaction to things like new (home?) hair dye? New towels? New face cream? Scalps can get a lot more sensitive in menopause, a bit like the thinner, more sensitive skin elsewhere. It could also, ironically, be a scalp getting rid of toxins if you have stopped using hair dyes or chemical based shampoos! You may find using a cup of Chamomile tea as a hair rinse soothing. Remember to drink lots of water as dehydration can be a trigger and try the nettle tea as a drink. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi Delia This can often be caused by dehydration (the back pain is actually kidney pain) so you may find drinking lots of plain water (not tea, coffee, juices etc) can help. If not, then it may be an idea just to check with your doctor Best Wishes Eileen
I suspect it can cause many issues .. please tell me more if you can about how it may cause back pain. My newest HRT has also started to make me bleed from the womb now after having none of that for the last 2 yrs More pain..🥴 I thought the one benefit of menopause was the absence of menstruation.. 🙄😒😁
Hi It's important to get any pelvic pain checked by your doctor, if you haven't already done so, as this could be caused by issues such as a prolapse Best Wishes Eileen
