I’m only 17 and I’ve been having it for just under a year. I remember waking up with pain but it wasn’t until I made a slide tackle in soccer practice when a rush of excruciating pain filled my back and couldn’t walk without having pain and made me miss playoffs. I thought the problem would heal itself overtime but now its starting to hurt again. 🤦♂️
I had t12 L1 L2 spinal fusion in June 2019. I'm now 33. The last two month I've had those second symptoms. I walk like hunchback. Back pain included, leg tingly on left side. As I wait to see my doctor, I am doing studying of my own. Thank you for this video.
Sometimes a pinched nerve in your cervical spine (neck) can also lead to tingling/numbness in your legs. Having an MRI will reveal where the problem is. A note: MRIs are way cheaper in third world countries (like $50) versus thousands of dollars and long wait times in the US.
What hurt the most is when the nerve fail to do a proper blood flow, its the hurt that will make you uncomfortable in any position. You can’t even sleep
I had severe sciatica after weeding the garden last November 2023. Shortly after had partial footdrop - left foot and numbness in front of my left leg. The pain went after three weeks but the disfunction remained but very slowly improved. I had an MRI 5th January 2024. I saw the results last week. There was a 18mm protrusion on my L4 disc. I would say that was large, but my functional walking is much better now and I only have a small numbness. In just the last week the improvement is great. I am not sure if that is the end of it, certainly hope so. Need to be extremely careful now and get a gardener maybe. I relate very well to the point about pain in the leg and not in the back - that was very true for me. The worst and most scary thing was the disfunctionality as I love hiking. It takes so much longer to improve than the pain.
Dude I'm 22 n yesterday putting my shoes on literally I lift my leg a bit high n my back completely went out like literally almost fell down n now my back feels like a knife is rubbing my bone is been a day n half still😢
2nd time in 6 months Ive taken an ambulance to the ER for what has to be a pinched lumbar nerve. The pain is unimaginable. Saw a surgeon a couple months ago and they want to send me out of town for a Basil vertibral ablation (BVN Ablation). IDK what to do but I know I cant go through this again, the everyday chronic pain in my back is bad enough but this is insanely painful.
Pinched lumbar nerve worst pain I've ever felt. I had steroid injections 2 days ago and already feel 75% better. Not advocating the shots...just saying
I have 4 pinched nerves. Had lots of X-rays to confirm it. Yet can’t do anything about it because I’m a hemophiliac! My blood doesn’t clot right. Sometimes it doesn’t clot at all and I almost died twice. Had 2 blood transfusions to save my life. Glad I’m alive but my back is getting worse and I have Osteoarthritis as well. I’m a mess lol
Got my pinch nerve a few years back while gyming, entirely my fault as i did not listen tp my body. Does not effect my daily life, no pain. Only acts up if i do exercises which place tension on my lower back eg. Deadlifts, barbell rows. Stopped doing these 2 exercises years ago. Decided to do deadliftes again and boom started again. Extreme sharp pain in lower back. Would have went down to my left leg but stopped exercise immediately. Will be sore for the next 2 - 3 days but then back to normal. Last time this happened my left leg gave in and i was literally crawling in pain. Got into an ice bath and helped ease the extreme pain.
I don’t remember any numbness tingling..it just feels like a horse kicked me, and docs here want to do a hip replacement….ugh. I’m protesting. I think it’s a pinch nerve. Seeing a spine doc soon. But my pain starts on my right butt area, hurts in the joint and goes down the front of my thigh. I swear I can feel my femur bone.
@@erinbeltran1820 yes!!! After over a year of pain, 3 docs saying I need a hip replacement…I got an MRI and new doc said I have nerve damage in the sacroiliac/sciatic bundle at the like last 3 vertebrae. They wanted me to come back for a shot in one of them so they would know which it was…but I did basic stretching exercises for both, sat on a heat pad, rubbed horse liniment on it, and took high dosage benfotiamine (b vitamin heals nerve sheaths) within a week..I could walk. 2 weeks later I was pain free.. didn’t even go back for the shot.
im 24 😕 and since last few days ... I've been experiencing mild lower back pain over the left buttock and sometimes it radiates towards leg and even toe ... also burning sensation
I love your content I really really appreciate you and everything you said about the pinched nerve that I have just got back from the hospital and they diagnosed me with a pinched nerve so I just want to say thank you thank you thank you and keep up the great content
Chiro and PT is the way to go, unless you need surgery. It's strange how I'll have a pinched nerve show up out of the blue every couple years and it can be down the side of my leg into the calf, or it can be where your big toe is stiff and hard to walk. I've also had it mess with my knee and hip making it harder to walk. Then again, I've had hamstring tendonitis that makes you think it's sciatica coming from a disc issue. Basically, it can be a different area of the body depending on where the pressure is located in the lumbar area. Sucks. Only way I've gotten over it quickly is the combo of chiro and PT to strengthen the core.
Not sure if you would get this but cold a pinch nerve in the upper back cause your back to feel cold between and around shoulder blades. I will note my shoulder blade bone around the muscle feels tender
Thanks for the video...I just have lower back pain it hurts so bad I thought I had a pinched nerve but the pain isn't going down my leg is just my lower back
Lower back pain and im locked up. It hurts to go from lying down to getting up, getting up to sitting down. And if i try to do it normally my spine will seize and i will fall. I fell twice this morning and hurt my leg and arm. My left leg also feels the effects of the nerve pinched.
Hello, I’m glad to find this. I recently hurt myself after being on my knees and then suddenly was pushed back into a position that that was beyond my capabilities. It started with lower back pain and numbness in my left leg. Over time I began getting hip abductor pain between my pelvis and thigh which started to cause cramping in my knee. I now have numbness all the way from my inner thigh, around my knee, and down my inner calf and a portion of my ankle. I’ve been to the doctor 4 times with severe pain, pain in left hip, as well as severe cramping in my knee. I’ve taken a round of prednisone. Things that make it worse are standing, lifting my leg, not moving as well as any lifting is the worst. I got an x ray of my lower back/hips and they said it’s not broken but I knew that. I could really use some help with what to ask my doctor, how to explain it so they actually listen etc. the only thing that relieves the pain is when I lightly tie a bandana around my inner thigh. I know you can’t give medical advice but there are 2 things you have brought up that I know I have. When I walk on my tiptoes my heal drops, I can’t keep my leg held up without severe pain, it’s even hard to lift my leg up over the tub. Also my blood pressure has been extremely high for me last one I took was 201/89. In fact all my blood pressure’s have been this high since this started. I can’t seem to get my doctors to listen to me and now the numbness in mt inner leg is growing. Any suggestions because I can’t seem to explain this in a way that gets them to listen. I’ve had to stop working, can’t stand for very long it’s just a nightmare. Finally I had 1 issue where I lost my ability to hold my bladder just as I was walking to use the restroom. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I do have an ortho referral
I’m not in any means a medical advisor I’m literally 17 but I have similar issues not quite as bad at the moment and I’ve been watching the body weight warriors stretches and have been doing them for a couple weeks and that allows space and stretching for more room of the pinched nerve to become more loose and less trapped and has helped relieve pain
It is very difficult to identify what you have without a full exam but you definitely need to see an orthopedist. If you have foot weakness, it's likely you may have a pinched nerve in your back.
Thank you my spine is always stiff and my right side alaays hurts in the lower right back area . Always feels tender and painful . Pins and needles goes down outside my leg
Pretty sure I’ve pinched my lower back nerve 4 times so far from working out, particularly on leg days. Today I pinched it and am not feeling as bad as when I first pinched it. I believe it may be because of stretching but then again may be the adrenaline still numbing the pain will update tmrw. (Also Im 22)
I got lower back pain for 8 months now it was a little less pain for 2 days but it started again until now..annoying cause I can do anything heavy and now even light task seems impossible to tacke.. Its worse cause health care is expensive
Thank you so so much for this video! More knowledgeable than any doc I saw for my pinched nerve. My MRi (of pretty much my entire body) didnt show anything. Based on your explanation, i would think that would only leave me with inflammation in the area. How would that be diagnosed? And what type of injection would be used?
I have had lower back pain for years which is decreased with medication but recently I started feeling an acute pain on the side of my spine which prevents me to be on my feet for a prolonged period of time, like taking a walk or preparing meals. I get tingling on my right and left hand and also feel like my left thigh goes numb at times, but what bothers me the most is the very strong pain that I feel on the left side of my spine, before the pain was on the center of my lower back. Probably this is other than a pinch nerve.
I think I have this, the doctors were thinking it's acid reflex or something with the stomach because the pain is right above my abdomin and it feels like a burning sensation right on my belly. I pressed my back against the edge of the wall (complete opposite side of the actual pain) and it started to feel better
I experienced lower back pain and was diagnosed with grade 1 spondylolisthesis. The doctor just told me to live with it and advised me to strengthen my core. However, a few days later, I started experiencing more knee pain and some tingling in my foot. I do sports and lift weights every day, and I also rock climb. I'm very fit and only 24, but I still don’t know how I got it. I'm also trying to find a way to alleviate the knee pain.
God, this is the second time it happened, now im experiencing my legs giving out anytime(weak) and headaches most of the days.. Injury happened when im doing high intensity exercise..Should have listened to my body, definitely not for me to participate in any strenuous exercise Doc? Edit: Specialist diagnosed me retrolisthesis before my legs are weak..Great..
I have spondylosis from l1 to s1. S1 has extra problem of impingement. I have low back pain, pain down the inside leg, right down to the instep. It gets bad, and painkillers help a little. Physio has not helped. My feet sometimes go numb, and they really annoy me.
So I have pinched nerve since 2 months. I usually have mild back pain, I occasionally get tingling in my foot and my left toe is completely numb since 2 months. My doctor said with proper rest and gentle walking exercise it will be okay. Is it true?? Does it get better if we take rest ?
Thanks for this. I have weakness that comes and goes in both legs. I'm fine most of the time but then my buttocks go numb and my legs start to give out on me. This only lasts for a few minutes and then may not recur for weeks
Please go to chiropractor. It will become more frequent over time. Let's get that checked out:). Chiropractors really change lives, if you're not familiar.

I've had this issue where, I am in no pain at all, but I can't lift my legs without picking them up with my hands, so can't put on shoes when seated, can't wash under either of my feet without picking them up, etc, etc. I was told by docs looking at at MRI that I do have a herniated disk, but they don't see ANY reason as to why I have this issue. Does this make sense to you? If I do have some compress nerves caused by the herniated disk, BUT I am in no pain what so ever, do you think it's something else or the Herniated disk compressing the nerves? If so, is it something that can be fixed?
ok.. this is awesome.. I've been seeing a chiro for about 9 months now with this so called pinched nerve.......it helps for a short time. I'm a hot mess with my back due to RA and spinal stenosis & just reg. DDD but what gives.. THIS IS NOT going away & I have things to do. I want to get back out there and walk. I"m 67 and I have grandkids and want to be active.. So your video gives us an idea as to identifying a pinched nerve.. NOW how the heck do I get rid of it.. What do you recommend! I can't stand this sedentary life. I have to give up life with my retired girlfriends........
i have been in severe pain for a week now, suspect caused by me slouching in my chair when using a pc for hours, had a lot of paracetamol, some alcohol, heated up been bag thing in microwave, tried gels this pain is so bad, cant sit up, it hurts to lie in bed flat its a nightmare
For about five years I've had random numbness down my buttocks and both legs. It used to happen seldomly but now its happening 4 or five times a day. In between this numbness I'm fine.
I have lifting experience last year my coaches tried to put me in a competition, and I felt something in a heavy lift, very little, the problem is that next sessions talking with them I felt that it was downgraded and continued normally when I felt a pain strong, they are still my friend but immediately left the gym as health was my primordial objective, got calmed down and never feel it, just sometimes and makes a little reflection to.a.testicle pain, I still need treatment. ¿ Sadly I'm in Mexico this type of videos are life savers a little advice ?.
@@danielmoreno2969 don’t give up on lifting if it’s something small u probably have tight muscles that rest on nerves or just weak points in your kenntic chains I would number one stretch and roll your legs especially your hips and work on your core strength and glute strength with things like banded fire hydrants and side steps and planks front planks and side planks to work the obliques your back is just over working since your other muscles are not firing so I would stretch and lose in the hips and work on functional core strength and stretching but specific stretching that target ur tight areas one blanket stretch is the one legged leaning lunge hope this helps brother heavy lifting means all small muscles need to work together don’t forget to strength and stretch your calves and ankles as well! If interested in commenting, I have very cold and numb like feeling in feet and legs from auto accident in March. Struggling to find cause and have EMG test today. Dr thinks I may have slightly crushed L4 or L5. We'll see.
Back in July I had a problem with my right leg because I was feeling a burning and tingling sensation on my right leg, so I went to the hospital and I told them about it and they took me to a CAT scan and they did an ultrasound because they want to see if I had blood Clots, and they came back and told me that I didn’t have no blood clots. So the next morning, I’ll try to get up and walk my left knee started to buckling that morning, so I went to the hospital again the second time and they did the same thing and a CAT scan and a ultrasound, and they didn’t find anything no blood clots no nothing. So then I got a neurologist couple of days later, and I told her about my problem and she says “I wish they kept u there at the hospital.” so now weeks gone by. I started to walk a little bit better, which was good. So now I got my first MRI done, and my second MRI. Now I’m waiting for my third MRI this week so now they wanted to do my back and my hips so my neurologist she can see what’s really causing the problem with my lumbar back. But now I’m walking a little bit better, and I can move and left leg a lot better, but I can’t run yet lol 😂😂 but hopefully I won’t have to feel this pain no more. Right now I’m just filling a numbing pain around my left stomach side. I’ll get better ❤️🩹
And is weird to me because it’s like it would be some weird things coming to my body and then it will fade away couple of days or a couple of weeks later, like back in February I had a problem with my right knee because I couldn’t fully extend my knee, so I want to see a doctor told him about it, and then the next couple of days later here I am feeling better like what the heck 🤷🏾♂️ SMH😂🤦🏾♂️

I get an intermittent dull throbbing down along Tibialis anterior. No numbness, tingling or weakness anywhere. My orthopedic thinks it’s sciatica and says the pain sensation can jump (ie: I have no pain in low back or upper leg. Is this possible and is there a self test? Could it be referred from a trigger point? I’ve had sciatica in the other leg in the past and this feels nothing like it. I do train and lift at the gym, so I’m sure it’s related to that activity. It began acutely about 9 weeks ago. Also, at that time felt like I strained a lot of muscles my whole leg. Never experienced this before.
I have a herniated disk that’s causing a pinched nerve. Shirt walks I’m ok but longer ones my leg starts to feel weak. Can the nerve become damaged? I have to walk a lot. Not sure what to do. Thanks for the video.
I have numbness/pain at the back of my toes and padded part of foot near the toes. It can be hard to walk. No leg pain. Lower back pain and abnormal emg test. I wonder if it is pinched nerves or Morton's neuroma?

What did they say? I'm having a pain on the top of my abdomin like sitting right on top of my belly dead center of my chest. Doctors say it's acid reflex but I've had that before and it's never felt like this. Burning sensation in the area, my finger tips start getting cold. The docs have done blood work, xray, CT scan and can't find anything. I just found out today when I lean really hard against the sharp edge of a wall against my back the pain starts to fade away

I can’t get anyone to do something. Pinched nerve with pain but spasm pain is unbareable in AM. INow back injured too and cannot stand. I fear permanent danage due to lack of medical help. 7 days IN
Howdy. I do not have a history of neck injury. I am 51, healthy and fit. I was cleaning my wood boiler 4 days ago and it requires stooping down on the ground and putting one hand upward as I pull downwards with the other hand, all while kneeling on my knees and turning my head to look upwards and downwards continously. The next morning I felt a medium range discomfort in my left shoulder and neck. Here it is 4 days later with nearly the same discomfort. It is good at night until I've been laying down for more than 7 hours, then after I rise it worsens over a couple of hours of standing to do light household work. It gets so stiff where I can't look downwards more than 50% of usual motion, and 100% upward too, left, and right. When I do neck traction for 15 to 20 minutes with a towel, hanging upside down, or laying on my back level, it gets much better. Also dead hanging makes it better too. Then it returns. I have to repeat this throughout the day. It hurts in the middle of my neck, at the shoulder level, and sometimes across my left shoulder and upper arm, to look all the way down or up, and to look left, to stand for more than 45 minutes, etc. This must be a pinched nerve, correct? Since it retreats when I do the traction. Thank you!
Yes, I would be highly suspicious of a pinched nerve in the neck. Tuesday's podcast will be about shoulder blade pain from a pinched nerve in the neck.
Yes talk to your primary care provider so they can ignore your concerns and blame everything on menopause. Like….everything. Go in with your head on fire? Menopause. Is your arm broken: menopause. Suicidal? Menopause. 🙄
It may be true. Maybe consider HRT? Low estrogen can cause a lot of those things. I'm scheduled to go see a provider that specializes in menopause. Going to get hormones checked and come up with a plan of action. Good luck!
I don’t have any back pain or anything, but when I get into a back bend in a certain way or bend my back backwards it starts to tingle and go down my legs and I’m too scared to be in that position too long because I think my legs would go paralyzed but I don’t know what would happen. Its in my very low back and I tried popping my back and doing stretches but nothing works. I thought everyone’s back did this but no they don’t. I may ask my doctor but that’s in a few months and I really need and answer cause I don’t know what’s wrong with my back if there’s any. I’m only 13 so I don’t know what could be going on..
Hello, I am 24 years old. I do not know where the injury in my back came from. I have a moving tingling sensation between my right and left legs. I have been like this since 2020. I cannot recover from this injury only with a pain reliever (Voltaren). I am now lying in bed on my left side because my leg My right thigh hurts and I cannot walk. I am tired of this matter. I want a solution, please. I have committed to physical therapy, exercises and medications, but it does not work. I can bend my feet forward and backward and move my toes. I have no problem with them. The issue is the tingling and pain that afflicts me during movement. It is truly unbearable.😢💔💔💔
This is the 3rd week for me. When I inquired about it they said oh it usually only lasts 2 to 6 weeks and if it is still there after that then see the doctor. The pain gets so bad I literally want to unalive myself or at least just shove a knife into my spine and paralyze myself so I dont feel it anymore. By the 3rd week the pain is constant now, just in varying severity, but never gone. It feels the best when lying in a bathtub but after spending 3 hours in there my skin gets so dry and uncomfortable! I dont know what to do without insurance. Pinched lumbar nerve worst pain I've ever felt. I had steroid injections 2 days ago and already feel 75% better. Not advocating the shots...just saying
@teresafaulkner2306 I've had at least 2 epidurals, and many years of trigger point and steroid injections. They never helped much
It hurts so much when I walk. I often think bad things because I can't go on living like this.
Been feeling like that for the past 4 days. It feels like there is preasure
@@TsepangMotsoane I hope it will pass soon. 4 day is too recent try to remember after what this pain/pressure began. Did you do some heavy work?
Sounds just like my pain. I feel for you.😢
Same as me
sounds like what Im having
I don’t remember any numbness tingling..it just feels like a horse kicked me, and docs here want to do a hip replacement….ugh. I’m protesting. I think it’s a pinch nerve. Seeing a spine doc soon. But my pain starts on my right butt area, hurts in the joint and goes down the front of my thigh. I swear I can feel my femur bone.
Update?

I love your content I really really appreciate you and everything you said about the pinched nerve that I have just got back from the hospital and they diagnosed me with a pinched nerve so I just want to say thank you thank you thank you and keep up the great content
How did you treat it
Ever see a pinched nerve in back mimic heart pain? Particularly around where the shoulder and spine meet i think around the 5 back vertebrae
Super explanation..
Thank you!
100% correct spot on.!!!!👍🏾👍🏾
doc please let me know if a pinched nerve can cause muscle twitching
Whats the best way to treat the numbness and tingling?
Move your foot into the opposite inner thigh while laying down. It helped me alot
And it's gone for you right now?
Chiro & OT was useless to worse Dr. suspects nerve impingement and I await MRI
Not sure if you would get this but cold a pinch nerve in the upper back cause your back to feel cold between and around shoulder blades. I will note my shoulder blade bone around the muscle feels tender
Thanks for the video...I just have lower back pain it hurts so bad I thought I had a pinched nerve but the pain isn't going down my leg is just my lower back
Any fixes yet?
Lower back pain and im locked up. It hurts to go from lying down to getting up, getting up to sitting down. And if i try to do it normally my spine will seize and i will fall. I fell twice this morning and hurt my leg and arm. My left leg also feels the effects of the nerve pinched.

How did you do it?
Hey, you need to inform your doctor about the bladder problem?? I really hope you're okay??? How are you now??
You did not mention you age however you should be under 40 because your blood pressure 201/89 is somehow unusual since the lower number is normal.
Thank you my spine is always stiff and my right side alaays hurts in the lower right back area . Always feels tender and painful . Pins and needles goes down outside my leg
You are welcome! I hope you feel better soon.
Great information thank you so much 🌻
You are so welcome!
Omg save my life 😢
I have had lower back pain for years which is decreased with medication but recently I started feeling an acute pain on the side of my spine which prevents me to be on my feet for a prolonged period of time, like taking a walk or preparing meals. I get tingling on my right and left hand and also feel like my left thigh goes numb at times, but what bothers me the most is the very strong pain that I feel on the left side of my spine, before the pain was on the center of my lower back. Probably this is other than a pinch nerve.
So difficult to tell without seeing you
I think I have this, the doctors were thinking it's acid reflex or something with the stomach because the pain is right above my abdomin and it feels like a burning sensation right on my belly. I pressed my back against the edge of the wall (complete opposite side of the actual pain) and it started to feel better
This video explain everything i need to know.
Can this pinched nerve be cured with massaging therapy sessions?

How to I tell my Dr. How to help or how to find out what I have; I need x-ray right?
I've had this issue where, I am in no pain at all, but I can't lift my legs without picking them up with my hands, so can't put on shoes when seated, can't wash under either of my feet without picking them up, etc, etc. I was told by docs looking at at MRI that I do have a herniated disk, but they don't see ANY reason as to why I have this issue. Does this make sense to you? If I do have some compress nerves caused by the herniated disk, BUT I am in no pain what so ever, do you think it's something else or the Herniated disk compressing the nerves? If so, is it something that can be fixed?

For about five years I've had random numbness down my buttocks and both legs. It used to happen seldomly but now its happening 4 or five times a day. In between this numbness I'm fine.
Could be a sign of other health problems like diabetes

Does lower back pain in my case spinal stenosis does that affect ones balance?
I have lifting experience last year my coaches tried to put me in a competition, and I felt something in a heavy lift, very little, the problem is that next sessions talking with them I felt that it was downgraded and continued normally when I felt a pain strong, they are still my friend but immediately left the gym as health was my primordial objective, got calmed down and never feel it, just sometimes and makes a little reflection to.a.testicle pain, I still need treatment. ¿ Sadly I'm in Mexico this type of videos are life savers a little advice ?.

Could a pinched nerve cause a burning sensation in the sole of both feet at once?
Ncv shows s1 bilateral radiculopathy. Is it a lumbosacral radiculopathy? Which part of my body affected?
Good luck!
I mean this in the most respectful way possible your comment is my favorite I’ve ever read on YT.
Is it permanent

Do you know why there might be very acute debilitating pain in the back behind the belly button when hinging forward
Probably abdominal issue. See a PCP
I doubt an ER will just give me an MRI scan... I've heard there is a long waitlist for MRIs.
How does your back feel now ?
