The more power is a welcome change, it was rather annoying that i couldn't go faster than 70 mph while plowing my field on my rocket 3

the factory PTO options are limited but the aftermarket attachments are surprisingly good
When I was working at a Triumph dealer we had a gent with a rocket 3 who had a minor crash and lost his shift lever. He rode home and rode to the dealer the next day with the bike stuck in 6th gear!!! this thing takes off from a stop in 6th easier than most bikes start from first.
My B-King was like that. I remember riding through a Spanish village at 20 MPH in 6th with the throttle closed.
I have the 2021 Rocket GT. Love it. Been riding 53 years and never owned a better machine.
That is more bike than I am man.

i have a 2020 Rocket GT version love it , yeah the power and torque upgrade is nice for the storm and the all black pipe and exaust line is like a big blur to me i like the gold and chrome look but it just my taste , ill keep mine due to the fact that the style of the bike remain the same , a ecu flash could do the same upgrade that the storm have so ill keep my 2020 awesome motorcycle.
With free flow air filter and aftermarket exhaust you can gain much more than storm, not worth uograde to storm 😉
@@Dzinbhudist Free flow sometimes fuck the to ends due to many ecu are not plug and play; however many sell the bikes before they know about it and then the other owner cries a lot...

This bike is all about style and excess. Love it.
I rode the 3R two years ago and loved it, I eventually chose a HD FXLRS 117 because of the stance and sitting position, but there's no doubt the Triumph Rocket 3 is in a class by itself, the smooth delivery of all that HP and torque is incredible and I only wish I could afford to have it in my garage along side my Low Rider S.
agree .i still have my black r3gt. but I feel the foot peg is not so comfort. but r3 is unique. like to switch to goldwing but it cant be compareble these two bike. hope can have both 😂
I have a 23 FXLRS 117 and am looking at the rocket. How did they compare to you??
@@andyhollund493 The Rocket 3 is a 2500cc making roughly 165 HP 😂 it's an experience and the largest production engine. Triumph makes some amazing motorcycles. The reason I went with the FXLRS is the ergonomics and stance, I wanted a performance cruiser that's comfortable on the road. In my opinion the best bike the Company has ever produced and the factory 117 is fast enough for anyone.
Similar performance to my TFC. Phenomenal bike!
I wish they would make a touring version with a larger pillion, windscreen etc.

I ride a 2017 Suzuki Hayabusa, I want one of these as a cruiser bike, totally awesome. I have never heard of the rocket bike. I didn't know it existed now I need to go to a triumph dealer to see it in person

Im a Harley guy,100%. Everything Harley, However The Rocket 3 is the only non Harley cruiser I would buy. The Rocket 3 is the only non Harley bike that is welcome to join in an all Harley group ride. The Rocket 3 is a f&*king tank. The Rocket 3 gets respect.
Harley Fat Boy has a 240mm too. Would like this next to the Harley. Maybe time to sell the z900rs se.

I like the blackout version, but honestly this bike is more technically impressive than it is style wise. I think they should do some about the head lights and the rear looks too bunched up imo
I’m going to test ride one of these when my Tiger 12 is in for a service, nice to see Triumph upping the power to stay ahead of the Ducati Duvall - which is a bit of a skittish beast
I own the 2023 GT version. Money spent on tweaking the engine (Penner Tune) will give u more power than what is offered on this Storm version.
I'll be running a 2021 Rocket 3 GT with same tune at Bonneville Speed Week this year.

There’s one thing a Rocket 3 will never offer: Enough.
Great bike just getting better. You have to wonder with all the little updates Triumph is making if they are poised to do big releases in 2025 with a few models. Pound for Pound I think Triumph is one of the best companies that overdelivers no matter what model you get compared to the other higher end motorcycle brands.

Do we know if Triumph have finally sorted out the rear brake failure issues that have plagued many Gen 2 Rocket 3 models ?
I just changed rear master cylinder with aftermarket brembo, no more issues. Original is too small to pump fluid trough out such long line.
Dealers in my area still have some 2022 stock and the $7k off is somewhat tempting. Bigger than most car engines? So are the majority of cars in the UK actually under 2.5l?
Actually, it looks like a number of big discounts on Triumphs in the U.S. it seems. Tiger 1200 has $6k, Scrambler 1200XC has $4k, bobber and speedmaster $3k (2023 models) If I didn't already have 3 bikes...

The good news is that the "more power" is something you can do to your regular Rocket 3... The current gen is held back by software... You twist the throttle and no matter how much you twist, it never delivers more than 64%... Sport mode on the Rocket is like Road or Rain on other bikes. You can change that yourself with TuneECU and an Android phone... Get it to deliver 100% when you want... Instant 35hp or so on a stock bike...

Rocket is so heavily reduced on power cause of the emissions, with free flow air filter and exhaust with decat you can gain +35hp
This makes it the most powerful cruiser in the world.
Sold my TFC and didn’t want to replace it with the less powerful rocket, but now this looks to be the same as TFC so maybe I will get again
I would love to see this race against a 2018+ Vmax. Nobody ever races them, but I have seen some videos where the VMax literally smokes the 3 GT.

Knowing Triumph's way of doing things by introducing a special edition every time before a model gets new model/major update, this means that the Rocket 3 is going to get a new model/ major update in 2025
Im not a fan of large bikes as I do too much city riding but damn I would love to at least rent one of these for a day on a trip off somewhere with more room to play.

This is so much bike and whilst being very expensive, it is much cheaper than Indian, HD cruisers which are stuck in the 1980s with their technology. Imagine comparing the Rocket 3 with a HD fatbob for performance lol
Ducati XDiavel also runs the wide tyre.

43 years of riding motorcycles and i must say my 2022 3r is a fantastic machine. i would pay $250 for a dealer to install this new software. Any more than that is robbery. maybe i can take the $250 and buy a carbon fiber part and make it look faster?

Its the lack of fuel range that makes the rocket a no go 4 me no matter how good it is
agreed, i’m that annoying person in the group that always needs gas. i modded the filler neck to gain a few more ounces but yeah the tank is small but thicc. Another downfall of the rocket is no standing to let the blood flow. that tank is just too wide.
I have a Blue Trophy and a Blue Tiger, so, the blue works for me.
180hp/221nm from a 2500cc engine is just normal…Even 4 cylinders 2500cc produce around that horsepower and slightly higher torque…The rocket need 250nm with more weight and 18 inch rims

@@konstantinw.1036 OK, not sure but you might check your numbers, just saying, Google it and you might get 317kgs WET. 290 sound like it could be a dry weight? That's still 639lbs. Don't know too many people who can hold up or lift 639 lbs. I'd still never turn down this motorcyle if offered or if I had money to burn, just to have one in my garage!!

I was lucky enough to own an ‘06MY Rocket III and loved it (despite the spine crushingly hard rear suspension) and still hanker for a new Rocket III GT. To be honest though, I’d much rather have the 2023 GT as the 2024 Storm colours are nothing short of awful! Why anyone would want blacked out exhausts when the originals looked like a work of art is beyond me……..and the paint colour choices are appalling! 🤮
Triumph……suggest you pay a visit to the Felt-Tip Fairies in the Styling studio and change their crayons!
I just can't get over the design decision to slap two regular front lights from cheaper models onto this bike... I think it deserves something more special and to look a little bit less... mentally challenged from the front. Front and rear just don't match.

I think it’s quite an iconic look TBH… Definitely one of the first things you see when they come towards you and takes a style cue from the legacy R3
It is triump signature lights brought from the older rocket models. You will always know that it is triump and i lile them.

Love, love, love The Powertrain on that thing BUT absolutely ABHOR the looks of it (I want something that looks more like a dragster, fast standing still, with a 120/70/17 section front tyre and a 17" rear rim same sidewall height and cross section) . . . not something that looks like a LeTourneau L-2350 missing 2 wheels and the bucket.
Well, there's always a used V-MAX 1700 (no creature comforts, dismal fuel capacity and range, et al) OR a new V-4 Diavel but with a final chain drive 💩😒👎.

I am looking to get one, and i already heard that the shift on these is very smooth , but the quick shift adaption makes it butter smooth and the bike even quicker
I suppose Triumph needed to pull something out of the hat to keep interest in this bike fresh. However they've laughed in the faces of the likes of the TFC owners by matching their bikes performance and Black / Triple Black owners by copying their blacked out details. Since each of these models were LTD Editions, they've just robbed 3,000 previous owners of their exclusivity.

@@konstantinw.1036 Most companies regularly upgrade their products. However to release something almost exactly the same as a Limited edition model which people have bought and paid a premium for is very underhand. It's like releasing an unlimited supply of counterfeits.
I think the display is underwhelming and doesn't really suit the bike. Also the headlights need to be a bit more futuristic rocket man looking rather than old school as they look off with the rest of the design
Yeah, more power was that was needed…. Missed opportunity… How about a bigger tank that can actually make it tour better.. a bit of a normal saddle that one could sit on for more than 10min, and overall utility.
Otherwise it remains the Worlds prettiest bike and nearly its most useless…. Sales figures never lie….

I’d like a rocket 3 1500 please Triumph
I toured Europe on my Triumph in the 70,s then it was my everyday transport for years and years in central London. Great, their back! But why so large engines? 500cc was perfect, more than enough speed and power. More than 600cc is totally unnecessary and therefore ostentatiously vulgar. I suppose it makes the rider feel more manly, more powerful, sexier, than he or she really is? Why no longer beautiful metal silver motors? Much nicer, more beautiful, than those cheap looking ugly black things. The silver raw metal engines seemed to say, "look at me, I'm proud, I'm beautiful, I'm the heart and soul of this machine". The new black blobs seem to say, "don't look at me, I'm just an invisible boring opaque blob, look at all the plastic colorful garbage around me instead".
Black is cool
The tank is unfortunately so big and disproportionate to the rest of the bike that it ruined what otherwise was a nice looking bike
