I'm 79 and have owned 28 bikes....all brands and all with the highest performance for the time. My current 2022 R3 GT is unquestionably the best of them all. The fact is that I just sold my 2018 Ducati X Diavel with Termignoni exhausts because all I was riding was the R3! Never will I get another bike with a chain, without a double sided swingarm, and without a quick shifter and traction/wheelie control, ABS brakes and the rest of the electronics. The bike is also an extremely comfortable and stable ride with more than adequate power. Fabulous looks as well. It even handles like a bike half the weight! Just a great machine!!
Good looking bike and very tasteful mods! Those tire letters remind me of the old school 60's/70's muscle cars. I just put a deposit on the '25 Rocket 3 GT Evel Knievel edition. I'm beyond excited to get this bike once it comes out. The Competition Werekes is going to be my first mod.
Hey Dood! Nice ride, great choice of bike. I've been riding 56 years, and 4 years ago I bought a 2016 Triumph Rocket III roadster, brand new. I have highly modified, and highly customized it to the tune of $25,000+. I had Carpenter Racing build the engine up, and rebuild the trans & clutch to full race. It has 260hp & 190ft/lbs torque at the rear wheel on 89 octane straight gas. It will make any man giggle. It has forward controls & 18" apehanger handlebars plus a ton of other mods. All murdered out. I wish I could post a pic of my B-E-A-Utiful Beastie. My only problem is I go through grinding bolts on the pegs like crazy. I've thought of tire letters, but I go through tires every 3000 miles, and these Damn tires are crazy expensive. Stay Safe!!!
This will be my next bike. I had a VTX1800F for awhile but lost everything to a fire. This bike might make things a little better once I'm on my feet again.
back in Febuary i finally bought my self a Rocket 3 GT 2021. i have done most of these mods since i agree with you and love the looks. one think i also did was get alot of the shiney small parts Powder coated in a semi gloss black. and man that really did alot. now im waiting on trying to get a diffrent exhaust but they are very expansive since none i have found are made in the EU so import taxes would bring the Comp Werkes to around 2k. but im going between Werkes and Ixill
Nice video. My question is how tall are you in reference to peg selection I'm 6'1" test rode GT and was very comfortable with forward controls . I've ridden Harleys for past 30 years. My long distance touring is over but day rides and trailering to black hills or Smokies are on the menu. I was amazed by the power and handling of the Rocket. Its on my Radar within the next year.
Corbin products are worth looking at for: Saddle Bags, 100 Liter capacity, Left hand side can fit a full face helmet. Tail tidy. Heated seats. I would extend the rear mudguard to keep the bike cleaner, simple to make out of carbon fibre as a one off.
More info on the mid controls please. The Triumph superstore doesn't show them on the site, just a $74 shift lever. I would like to change to mid controls also with forward highway pegs forward for stretching.
Yes anyone can shift without using the clutch but the quick shifter allows you do do it at full throttle. Down shifting you didnt mention. The quick shifter makes downshifting without the clutch smooth as silk. I put the mid pegs on my GT as well, like the op I highly recommend doing that as well. One thing though, I saw no wear marks on the pegs, lol.
At the time I made the video I hadn't used the quick shift enough to figure out you just let off the throttle completely and shift down - TOTALLY agree, the down shift is "butter"... and in every way as enjoyable as up shifting.
Thanks for posting this! Very cool! I have questions. Do the mirrors have a comparable view to stock? Do you ride in the rain without the rear hugger? I seem to get mud up my back even with it! I did the same with the mid pegs on the GT. completely agree about mid pegs and the shifter. Although it's not my style, the lettering really caught my eye and looks great!! windshield looks great! I found Madstad to be excellent for touring.
I've been using those mirrors for years. I can see both lanes behind and they are adjustable if you would want to have them higher - I'm used to them in that position. I like my stuff to look nice and stopped riding in the rain when I could afford to drive nice cars.
How can you compare a Harley Davidson to a Triumph Rocket? The bikes are from different centuries. Harley hasn't moved on,Triumph is ahead of the game.
Beautiful bike! I watched your video five times OMG I WANT ONE. how much for the quick shifter if you don't mine me asking 🤔 I just left the dealer today to see this beautiful bike but I'll go back when the new edition arrives next month...
Not so far... the only issue I had was with the rear turn signals throwing errors on occasion and after the first maintenance they updated software and I haven't had that issue.
I love that bike 1 its a Triumph 2 they've increased the power even more a couple years ago there's a whole list but I just dont have room and I cant justify buying that bike it doesn't fit my needs I wish it did though I have my tourer covered I have my naked covered MT-10 I have my ADV covered 1200 Tiger I have my enduro covered DR 650 and we have a Speedmaster your bike is ready to go anywhere the panniers look good the exhaust looks and sounds great good job
Dude - great job! Those tires though - you said love em or hate em - I hate em. I still don't see why you deleted the rear fender but left everything else? That fender has to help with slinging crud.
They simply aren't compatible at the same time - many have tried (including me) and there are many articles about it. It would require modifications that would not allow you to switch back in the event you or future owner wanted to.
My biggest disagreement is the bluetooth module. Even with the dealers assistance I have found it quirky and useless. I do not recommend this option. The quick shifter and a larger windscreen were my two best add ons. And I think I have added all the others in this vid.
I got the rubber tire letters too on the Rocket but halfway thru the life of the tire I notice they start to color brown (seems they're burned) Did you have this issue as well?
Great video! I have a '22 Triple Black edition and want to do the mid-peg conversion w Quick Shift. At the Triumph Superstore it says I need a "Fixing kit" and there is a part number specific to the Triple Black edition. However, if I do the mid-peg conversion it will be more like a model R. So would I get the Mid-peg kit plus the Model R fitting kit instead of the GT Triple Black part? Also, is it just me, or does the tire pressure spec (42psi) of the bike seem too high? I can feel every pebble and line on the road and my suspension is setup to comfort mode. Thanks!
Ask Triumph Superstore - those guys are awesome about figuring out the exact setup that will work on your bike - just let them know what you want to do. Keep in mind, when the dealer does the QS config to have your R peg setup installed before hand or it will have to be redone after you switch.
Seriously , how much did it cost and how much time did it take to adjust the valves on the Ducati Diavel . NOT JUST CHECK THE CLEARANCE . But to actually adjust the valves . I've been trying for years to get an honest answer .
Competition werkes is the ugliest exhaust for this bike, it should of gone with the flow of the rear wheel. the long pipe should of gone on top and the short stack on the bottom.
The white letters on tires really looks very mexican style, next you need hydraulics to make it lower it self and sit down , then you can also make it hop up and down, then you'll be cool.

Just a great machine!!
I am 65 and can’t agree more with you.
Just love it, everything is just great but would be just fantastic with a rear gear I think!
I'm 69 and just got a 2019 HD FXDR but I'm already waiting for some not-very-used Rocket 3 GT to show up on sale here in Rio de Janeiro !
This is going to be my next bike. I'm a die-hard Harley guy, but the Rocket 3 GT has officially won me over.
The best thing about getting rid of my Harley is: the dog now has the back of the pick-up all to himself. 🙄
I live my Harley but plan to buy one of these in the next year or two.
Same here, absolutely love my Harley. Was going to get a sportster s but this bike is just the whole package that Harley could never deliver
Once you leave Harley you won't appreciate what you've been missing out on. HDs are like bikes from the 1960s.
@ilikelampshades6 oh, I'm keeping my Harley. I'm just buying another bike.

Love the end result, very tastefully done ❤
I ride a 15 harley-davidson v-rod muscle bagger but have to admit I'm finding the Rocket III very interesting
Actually... not even close in terms of performance, quality of build and electronic sophistication.
My buds vrod does not come close to the Rocket in anything as far as I can tell. Power especially.
That last pic
In front of fountain opposite the capitol
Definitely good one
the controls and the panniers perfect in my opinion
Those raised white letters on the tires change the look completely
Waaaay cool!!!!
A new set every (frequent) tyre-change???
totally dribbly, the exact bike of our dreams, well done, perfect
Looks great! Thank you for sharing your experience!
This will be my next bike. I had a VTX1800F for awhile but lost everything to a fire. This bike might make things a little better once I'm on my feet again.

Great content sir !! 👏🏻👏🏻

I'm 6 foot
Nice upgrades!...thank you for sharing!
Nice work. Impressive

$$$$$
beautiful work. Cool👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nice as can be. I'd be too afraid to leave this out on the street!!! Ride safe bro!
you forgot to mention that the triumph quickshifter also adds the automatic downshift blip as well
More info on the mid controls please. The Triumph superstore doesn't show them on the site, just a $74 shift lever. I would like to change to mid controls also with forward highway pegs forward for stretching.

I like when someone walks up and asks if it's a six cylinder
I bought the Rocket with the gear control switched and I get much better control on my GT than the GT I tested.
How can you compare a Harley Davidson to a Triumph Rocket?
The bikes are from different centuries.
Harley hasn't moved on,Triumph is ahead of the game.

Hi Alex. Prices are listed on our website with the Rocket 3 pages. This is a MUST get option, you will love it.
Definitely do a comparison and what your final thoughts if you had to pick 1. Good video
Do you have any issues with your dash turning off in hot heat or long rides in hotter weather? Awesome video!
Not so far... the only issue I had was with the rear turn signals throwing errors on occasion and after the first maintenance they updated software and I haven't had that issue.

Very very clean
Good job! Thanks
Have you installed a steering damper yet? If so which one? TIA RG
Dude - great job! Those tires though - you said love em or hate em - I hate em. I still don't see why you deleted the rear fender but left everything else? That fender has to help with slinging crud.
Great video! Can you please explain why having factory forward pegs on with mid controls won’t work? Thanks!
They simply aren't compatible at the same time - many have tried (including me) and there are many articles about it. It would require modifications that would not allow you to switch back in the event you or future owner wanted to.

Well except for the silly white letters.
I agree the Bluetooth module has so many issues. The quick shifter is great though!
A Bagger Edition wouid be really nice.
Do you suggest if this bike is good for beginners? I used a small scooter a long time ago, but I have never ridden a heavy bike.
I just got my 22 Rocket 221. There is no key for the panniers to change the combo. Is there a manufacturer key set? Your bike looks awesome awesome
I think the directions were in the panniers. You can contact Triumph and they can help you out since they are OEM.
Thank you. I learned on utube. No keys required.
exhaust&qshifter ok, rest good 4 sissy missy✅
I got the rubber tire letters too on the Rocket but halfway thru the life of the tire I notice they start to color brown (seems they're burned) Did you have this issue as well?
The windscreen info is incorrect on your site.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Should i bag it and travel?
Will the phone mount work for the 2024 2025 Triumph Rocket 3?

Love it
There still is the XDiavel...
R3 is BADASS
Afraid I’m a ‘hater’ of the wheel lettering, other than that top marks from me. Did you find anything regarding the highway pegs?
I've been waiting all summer for the release of the highway pegs and still haven't heard any news.
Simplemente hermosa
what brand of windshield?
Seriously , how much did it cost and how much time did it take to adjust the valves on the Ducati Diavel . NOT JUST CHECK THE CLEARANCE . But to actually adjust the valves . I've been trying for years to get an honest answer .
The adjustment wasn't required until the 16k maintenance and I sold it before I got there.
The windscreen used isn’t listed. You copied pannier mounts twice. What kind of windscreen is this and where was it purchased ?
Did the exhaust change your torque or HP at all?
Nothing noticeable, just louder (which is what I was going for)
I would love to see a full blown bagger addition of this bike. Batwing fairing, hard bags, top case. The works.
Look into Corbin
Corbin does it, makes the bike look awful though.
There's a British company that make a nice blower looks great and makes good power
@@amsfarm1502 TTS is the company name that makes the supercharger your talking about
Ew. Why? A bagger edition wouldn't fit the image of this bike at all... It would be like turning a Corvette into an RV.
If it’s a good bike it doesn’t need mods or accessories
All bikes good or not have mods and accessories to make it individual to the owner rider.
Why didn't you just buy the R?
The rubber tire stickers ruined the look .. 😢
$AU1,800 for a set of paniers that a $5 box cutter could open is a rip off.
Needs a ECU reflash; trust me
Planning on having 2WDW in Washington do it at some point.
que rendiemiento tiene ?
Competition werkes is the ugliest exhaust for this bike, it should of gone with the flow of the rear wheel. the long pipe should of gone on top and the short stack on the bottom.
The white letters on tires really looks very mexican style, next you need hydraulics to make it lower it self and sit down , then you can also make it hop up and down, then you'll be cool.
The stock pipes look better than any of the after market pipes. FJB 🖕🇨🇳
Absolutely
Check out the Zard pipes. I'm putting them on mine. They look and sound amazing.
I totally agree! A bit too quiet for my liking but, cosmetically...far better than any conversion I've seen!
