@ I have degrees and I still take academic classes online. I cook for people and I have learned Romanian, Mexican, Indian, Japanese, and Chinese cuisines. I bake and I make bread from scratch. And I make a killer cheesecake. I crochet. I sew clothes and make my entire wardrobe. Currently I am making a 1940s set of garments. I am taking an advanced tailoring class. I sew for others. I make bobbin lace. I currently am learning to knit. I read voraciously. I have traveled all over the world, and I lived in the Middle East, and Romania, and learned Romanian. And I write fiction. I taught myself to build PC computers and the one I have now is number five. I am currently learning Linux. A pet project I have going is learning to use a traditional quill pen and ink, and I am mastering round hand, which was the script used in the 18th century. It’s amazing what you can accomplish when you are engaged with life and not passively receiving someone else’s creations. of course, all of this takes time and some of it is slow going. I will lay one thing down and pick up something else for a while. Then drop that and pick up another project. I’m always engaged and eager and enthusiastic to try the next thing or perfect whatever I’m working on.
@ thank you, but I don’t feel like I’m amazing, I think this is what happens when one doesn’t watch TV and instead engages fully with life. I think we all used to be like this. My grandmother who was born in the 1800s, never stopped moving. Our entire house was beautified with handmade everything and she cooked like a chef. She made all of our clothes and made blankets and quilts constantly. We bought very little at the store because of her. She never sat still. Neither did my parents who fought in World War II. This was what it was like before we became hypnotized by passive entertainment.
I am jealous of the older generations. We are all addicted to media. It’s hard to disconnect fully. I’ve managed to cut off everything else except UA-cam and some tv. Good for you for being fully engaged in life, that is the goal.
Love hearing wisdom like this-it makes you think differently. The books on nixorus gave me a similar feeling, with insights that completely shifted how I see money and success. Definitely worth a read if you’re into life-changing advice.
My parents were married 75 years! We lost dad July 14, he was two months shy of 99! He retired from the insurance buisness at 57 but never quit working! He just worked on his on terms! He was active even up in the last few years when he was using a walker! He vacuumed out three cars and washed one in an afternoon at 97! He lived life simply and loved his county and hometown! He was a wealth of history of the local area! I pretty sure he was the last surviving ww2 vet in the county! My mom worked all her life and retired at 83! She's now 95 and living independently at her home! She still drives to get her groceries, banking, and visits dad at cemetary! I live 3 min away, and keep an eye on her! You got to keep moving, my dad rode a stationary bicycle up until his last days, he was driving and still we working on his lawnmower and cutting grass til the end! We miss him but he lived a full life! How many get to make it as far as they have! My grandfather used to say: when you get past 75 you are living on borrowed time!
Doing this will eliminate about 50% of your problems,issues,etc,etc,..but,some people like to blame others instead of owning their mistakes, mishaps, etc, etc,.I look in my mirror each morning and see my number-1 problem in my life. MYSELF. LOL. I've also found it's okay to mess up,make a mistake,etc,etc,...it's okay to say I don't now,i shouldn't have said that to you-I"M Sorry. You still strive to do better,be a better person,etc,etc,..and it's okay to do things alone, things you enjoy by your self.

I totally agree with this woman’s views and life’s suggestions. Do something good and useful everyday day you get up. Thank you for making & showing these terrific clips.
I started gliding at the age of 11, solo'd at 19, learnt to do all aerobatics etc, air law, meteorology, such an exhilarating hobby. I was also an RN for 43yrs lol. I feel I've had a very good life ,I'm 66 and wouldn't want to go back to 25, no matter how good life was then, it's still good now in a calmer way lol 😅😂
You should interview my 91-year grandma who is a renowned artist where she lives, and still teaches two classes each week. She's an inspiration to her community, and everyone she meets.
Younger people need to heed the advice of older people, but they don't get the chance because overall their parents don't always promote the relationships with their children's Grandparents. I have found as an older woman in American, if you don't promote yourself and get yourself "heard" you are treated like Casper and brushed aside. It's the result of raising our Children in America to be little Narcissists. Our Fault.
Wise and wonderful. Everything about Yvonne is ALIVE. She’s 20 years my senior; my goal is to follow in Yvonne’s footsteps and thrive as she has. My late father lived to age 94.5 fully compos mentis, just like Yvonne. Best interview ever.
The main points I've gotten from this lovely lady are ....acceptance ....go with the flow of life, no regrets ; gathered experiences are treasures! Thanks much ❤❤❤❤
That's the best takeaway. I know so many people who continue to make the same mistakes over and over because they aren't really honest with themselves.
I met a family member who was 95, they seemed really old. And then I found out they were my grandmother's auntie!! About 11 years later my grandmother passed at 95. She didn't seem so old and was sharp. Make sure you treasure your family while you have them.
Just cuz you watch TV does not mean you're going to become a vegetable. My Dad is 91 years old, he watches TV and reads. He is only on 4 meds. Has no major illness, no organ issues. He worked until he was 79. He stopped to take care of my mom, who passed at 82. Now he lives with me ane is doing great. At this rate he is going, he will make it to 100. ❤❤❤
My grandmother passed away at the age of 112. She never takes any medicine. What I know; she used to walk a lot, also she was kind and respectful to others. RIP
My mom also was a housewife and she did not do any exercise at all just stayed home cooking and cleaning the house and loved watching different shows on TV and she got to live to be 92. My dad was active man beside working bringing home the bacon as they say and he did all kinds of exercise and he lived only to be 74. So, different DNA it’s not how you live it’s all in your DNA 😂
I LOVE this interview. I wish this interview could be shown to young people all over the world! "Keep active" and "enjoy your work" are two important keys to a healthy life.
Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Instead of trying to predict and prognosticate the stability of the market and precisely when the change is going to happen, a better strategy is simply having a portfolio that’s well prepared for any eventually, that’s how some folks' been averaging 150K every 7week these past 4months according to Bloomberg.
the strategies are quite rigorous for the regular-Joe. As a matter of fact, they are mostly successfully carried out by pros who have had a great deal of skillset/knowledge to pull such trades off.
I wholeheartedly concur; I'm 60 years old, just retired, and have about $1.25m in non-retirement assets. Compared to the whole value of my portfolio during the last three years, I have no debt and a very little amount of money in retirement accounts. To be completely honest, the information provided by invt-advisors can only be ignored but not neglected. Simply undertake research to choose a trustworthy one.
Just wanted to say, ‘Carol Vivian Constable’, my CFA, is the real deal in his field. Dig deeper into her background; she's got years of experience and is a goldmine for anyone diving into the financial jungle!
I just Googled her name and her website came up right away. It looks interesting so far. I'm going to book a call with her and let you know how it goes. Thanks
I think that's the best interview with a remarkable person. We should take notice, she still has a glint in her eye and has kept her sense of humour. She would have experienced more hardships than most but it didn't wear her down. A long conversation with this lady would be interesting and I'm pretty sure filled with a lot of laughter and chuckles.
Yeah - and how does she not sound cynical? You can tell she had opinions (which I share) yet also sounded "detached" (as in I'm not on board but live and let live). I have a hard time with some of that
I’m 68…..one thing I’d suggest is that money CAN buy you happiness. because if FREEDOM and Life OPTIONS are important to you, having both WILL increase your happiness. I’m not talking being a slave to materialistic madness…I’m talking about having the financial resources to cover and ENHANCE your lifestyle. BE HONEST with yourself, your talents, abilities, goals. And that includes any college and major. It also includes ANY business you work for. Next, WORK your ass off for the next 40 years, the goal during being asset accumulation and debt elimination. BUDGETING, financial planning, etc. is required. Find something that you have a passion for…that also supports your life. Strongly liking or loving a job, career, or industry REALLY makes a difference in the working years. When you’re young, learn to lean in- and say Yes! To TRY. When you’re older, learn to say NO!
Being poor can be stressful. But I haven't seen many wealthy people that are happy. Sounds like exactly what she's warning against- living in an unbalanced way for the future. But like kamala says "Hard work is good work." I'd add...don't accrue any debt!
Omg I’m tearing up. This was such an awesome wholesome interview. Been dealing with a lot of stress and anxiety so I had to stop watching the news. “If it bleeds it leads” I just can’t anymore. She’s so sweet. ❤

Same my grandfather lived to be 96 and liked to watch wrestling on t.v. I think it is more about having a positive attitude and what you watch. My grandfather knew wrestling was fake and would sit in his chair laughing. I have fond memories of watching wrestling with him.
Loved listening to this woman. I’m a bit younger but I had similar experiences growing up. My sister and I had lots of freedom. We would be outside every chance we got, we walked everywhere. We had to be home when the street, lights came on or when my dad whistled for us. I was taking public transportation to my school when I was in the fifth grade. I also remember the ration books during the war. My dad served in the navy. Thankfully he came home
An exceptional interview ! Love the insightful old soul-young man who interviews, and the 94 year old woman who shares her wisdom. Very respectful of each other. Maybe there is some hope for humanity with good people who stand up. Otherwise the deadbeat zombies who blindly follow without any original thoughts will takeover the intellectual landscape.
Doing a reset on my life was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I simplified everything diet, routine, and mindset. I picked it all up from the book called Unveiling Your Hidden Potential

She looks great for 94. She is very mentally sharp also. My aunt passed away this August at 105 years old. She was very mentally sharp, lived alone until she passed away. About 7 months before passing she wasn’t able to walk any more. An assistant came and bathed her, brought her meals, gave her medicine and moved her from bed to recliner, then in evening back to bed. I talked to her on the phone almost every day. She was an amazing, phenomenal woman. She loved God and her family. She had one daughter, who passed away about 5 years ago, and had 9 children, who had children, and grandchildren. She was ready to go home to God and, said he wasn’t ready for her yet. I miss her.
What an adorable, intelligent, and well-articulated woman. I bet her grandchildren must feel very fortunate to have her in their lives. I could keep listening to her for hours. Great interview. It brought me so much joy. ❤
Taking people at their word, doing work that you like, staying active even after retirement, and not wasting your time on marriage \ relationship if it doesn't bring you complete joy and fulfillment. That's how she has lived such a long beautiful life
I am just short of 70 and I agree with her statement. My experience has been that those who should accept and love you the most let you down, some by small degrees and others in life changing ways. If you are a giver, yet still have self tespect or inherently know right from wrong, you end up cutting them off as easier and better for your soul to be olone. Other people also, in my experuence are either fickle or out for themselves Only my husband has loved me deeply and liked me, accepted me and wholeheartedly done the right by me. My younger brother who died in January., whilst a very different person to me, I know loved me also. I miss him
I love that you are so interested in taking advice from people much older than you! At 51, I now often feel so ignored and passed by, yet I have so many wonderful stories I could tell! Great interview 🩷
I personally dont think living to a certain age is a goal - its quality of life and being spiritually aware Happy to live to 70 or 80 but not into 90s! This place is not our permanent home - our eternal home is heaven
You need to interview 100 year old Mel Corren of Stockton, Ca and his Brother Hillie who is 97. Both live at home alone. WW11 vets and so positive and wonderful!
I like her. Healthy life like my father's parents and sisters who all lived to their late 90s but with very different ways of life than this woman in Tuscany, Italy. Relaxed, calm, very religious, homebody types of people. I believe it's about genetics, less stress and a lot of luck. Good health creates long life. Not everyone is blessed with terrific health. You have that, you really have it all. May God continue to bless her. She's lovely.
Don’t trust anyone - something my mother advised me a few years ago. She has never been wrong with her advice and I agree. Don’t open up to people too much, keep private private. People have a tendency to trample all over precious things and stab you in the back. Sad, but true

Got rid of my TV in 2005. I became, and remain today at 77, highly productive. I am never bored.
What do you do ?

You sound amazing! I am inspired by you.

What a beautiful woman! She looks amazing for being in her 90s!! A beautiful smile takes years off! God bless her 💕🙏🏻
What a beautiful soul … that smile says it all . A life well lived ..❤️
"Be honest with yourself" - great advice that gave me chills.
This woman is a wonder. I’m 72, a nurse who schooled & worked in construction. I learned to fly glider planes and a lot of other fun, interesting stuff. I still work too. I totally agree with this woman’s views and life’s suggestions. Do something good and useful everyday day you get up. Thank you for making & showing these terrific clips.

Brava and blessings! ❤
Our Fault.
She is my hero 🙂 I'm 70 now! 🙂
Thanks much ❤❤❤❤
"Be honest with yourself" ..❤❤❤
That's the best takeaway. I know so many people who continue to make the same mistakes over and over because they aren't really honest with themselves.
Beautiful 90+ year old. We need them around.
I love her. No need to go back time. Keep Involved. Keep Active. Always vote, feel equal all the way. Be honest to yourself. Beautiful.

She is right, society and people change.
My grandmother passed away at the age of 112. She never takes any medicine. What I know; she used to walk a lot, also she was kind and respectful to others. RIP
This lady is a gem. Somebody should make a movie about her amazing life. Truly free spirit.
My Mom lived to 94. She was a housewife in a small town and watched a lot of TV. My Dad lived to 90. My childhood was like the guest.

Mind if I ask you to recommend this particular coach you using their service? Seems you've figured it all out.
100%. She still has that spark
Yeah - and how does she not sound cynical? You can tell she had opinions (which I share) yet also sounded "detached" (as in I'm not on board but live and let live). I have a hard time with some of that
You are very much right, Alan. Best wishes from Australia. Jarmila.

What a gem of a person this lady is. AND The interviewer is excellent. Instant subscription!
Wouldnt surprise me if u voted orange banana peel. U sound like u think u r pretty smart , i beg to differ
Being poor can be stressful. But I haven't seen many wealthy people that are happy. Sounds like exactly what she's warning against- living in an unbalanced way for the future. But like kamala says "Hard work is good work." I'd add...don't accrue any debt!
I admire older people you can learn from them I'm 60 years old and still learning
The world will ALWAYS change. That's what life does. It changes. It evolves. Nothing and no one goes unchanged.
Not true. Some people change, some people remain the same 💯
The message through all these videos is clear: do what you like or love, and don't stop. ❤ Now the goal is to find out what exactly that is.
Omg I’m tearing up. This was such an awesome wholesome interview. Been dealing with a lot of stress and anxiety so I had to stop watching the news. “If it bleeds it leads” I just can’t anymore. She’s so sweet. ❤
Well done lady 94. 👏👏. However please don't dismiss tv and reading. My mother is 94. She loves watching youtube and enjoys reading large print library books. Both help her use her brain and keep thinking 😊
Great point
I agree. Plus not staying informed on what is happening in the world and then voting the same as you did 60 yrs ago is also dangerous.
What a lovely lady, looks better than many in their late 40’s! She’s done so many neat things!
She is so damn precious…I want her to be my mom….talk about being ADORABLE….SHE IS ONE CLASS ACT.
I thought the same.
Yeah, I really believe most people are good people! The zombies maybe loud, but there are more kind people all around us.

Wow. Greetings from Australia 🦘. I'm a baby boomer, so was born about the time she got married. What a treasure and an insight into how the world was growing up in the 30's. She looks so good for her age. Thanks for sharing this. God bless. 🙏
You still need to interview my mother age 88 Who is the greatest example so far that I've seen. I'm fortunate to be her daughter 62
These people should be influencers people with real life experiences my grandmother passed away in 2007 she was a wonderful woman never wanted anything but to see her family and aways would say no regrets in life and don’t worry she was also tough as nails and didn’t suffer fools lightly
I miss her.
My condolences! My only aunt died in June. She was WAY younger than ur aunt and hid her illness. I miss her everyday 😢
What an adorable, intelligent, and well-articulated woman. I bet her grandchildren must feel very fortunate to have her in their lives. I could keep listening to her for hours. Great interview. It brought me so much joy. ❤
That woman is the wisdom that the world needs
I miss him
Love the good advice, I’m glad things worked out for this very independent lady. Being honest with yourself can really help when making life decisions
Doing work that you love and are passionate about and spending time with grandchildren keeps you young absolutely❤
