How much more relaxed can I get from watching this video? From blueberry picking to sitting on the porch with a friend, to the cozy baking and thinking of Autumn, oh how wonderful. Thank you for this moment.
Linda , I can honestly say that this is by far my favorite YT channel! I love everything about it! I can watch and listen to you for hours! I absolutely love your Sugarwood’s home, especially the kitchen! Your voice is so soothing, you make me feel like you are talking to ME only! Like a really good friend! I’m sure all your subscribers feel the same way! Your channel is the best click I ever subscribed to! I will definitely be ordering from your shop for fall items! I all forward to Sunday’s with Linda! Your channel is like ready a really good book that you don’t want to end! Looking forward to many more videos! You are beautiful and so funny , you make me smile after watching your videos!
Such a peaceful video. You are so lucky to have solid roots and longevity in this lovely region, both you and Ben. You are clearly devoted to that history and that is so admirable. Societies have become so mobile and transient that most of us miss out on that very comforting aspect in life.
I, too, remember Jordan Marsh Blueberry Muffins, as well as picking blueberries as a summer activity as a girl. Our dogs and ducks used to follow us around and we would toss them blueberries from time to time. My mother fashioned "picking cans" out of empty coffee cans and thick coated wire, which we could hang around our neck freeing up both hands for picking. Thank you so much for sharing the recipe. I can't wait to bake these muffins!
Hey Linda, if Willow needs a baby sitter while you do some painting I will be glad to volunteer! Otherwise, everything is looking great! I like the idea of "its a New England thing!" Martha Stewart lived in Westport, CT (1 town over from me) but then moved to New York. So she was not a New England devotee! Best Wishes to you all. Till next time.
New England. I live on the West Coast but my heart desires a trip to New England Linda, you make me want to live a New England lifestyle . I visited New England several years ago and have never forgotten the history and charm of this part of the US. Thank you for your thoughtful and beautifully done videos. And, I love blueberry muffins!
I love the New England series! I grew up in Massachusetts, and now live in NH, and loved going with my Mom to Jordan Marsh for muffins. That brought back a great memory. As for Blueberries, my husband and I go kayaking and a few years ago we discovered an area on our lake that has blueberries growing on bushes that hang over the shore so we are there often now picking. It’s a secret location!!
Hi Linda! The,property and renovation of the “poor man’s house” were so inspiring-the results are beautiful. The blueberries were perfect and the muffins looked delicious. One of the joys of summer is the abundance of fresh fruit and veggies. The kitchen window view would make dishwashing chores a pleasure! Love all the things you are doing and looking forward to a peek into the items you will have available in your shop. Thank you and Ben for sharing your vacay time with us!
Love the shades on the chandelier. ❤ Those blueberry muffins looked amazing. Happy to hear the dish towel was saved. Thank you, for sharing your friends home. Just lovely with beautiful views. Also, the way you designed that kitchen window…perfection. ❤
YUM!!! Linda, I can't believe how beautiful and full your blueberry bushes are!!! I'm excited to try your muffin recipe. I buy blueberries all of the time to put on cereal and oatmeal, BUT I have yet to grow any of my own. I have found that some types will grow here in Texas as long as they get enough water. I was just thinking that my mother worked at Jordan Marsh back in the 1950's, but then remembered it was Filene's. She made 60 cents/hour doing bookkeeping and at Christmas she wrapped presents. She could make the prettiest bows for packages! I loved watching her make them. 💘 Thanks for bringing back some fun memories!!! And she loved making blueberry muffins! Happy baking and painting!!
Your smile is sweet Bill, but the light in your eyes is pure happiness! 🎉 No pressure intended, we are all just glad for your opportunity and you sharing with us!
Thank you for the recipe. It's a walk down memory lane. I' m 74 years old and remember going to downtown on the subway and shopping and always bringing home blueberry muffins.
Brings back.memories of my mom.She made blueberry muffins every week. She froze berries so they would not crush plus she dredged them in flour to stop them from sinking. Those looked great.
Linda, I will add that, blueberry picking, getting ready to entertain, spending quality time with a friend, enjoying the history of where we live and dreaming of the season to come. Well let me just say kindred spirit, "It's a New England Thing!"
I absolutely loved this Linda. I love "It's a New England Thing!!" Mum and I used to take the T into Boston all the time when I was a child from Belmont by bus and train from Harvard Square to go to Jordan Marsh and Filenes. I miss those days so much and have such beautiful memories of the blueberry muffins and Mum loved the fruit muffins. Thank you !!! The Poor Farm was gorgeous and the views so tranquil. I love being a New Englander and today's weather is spectaular after the front came through! Have a beautiful Sunday Linda! jannieo
Great video but your comment about the poor house brought back a horrific memory from childhood. Our Girl Scout troop was visiting what was called the County Home and upon entering I kicked over a ladies spit cup. I was mortified! Glad to see that home has been so beautifully restored.
You’re amazing at all of the projects in your home. Not only are you proficient but you really seem to enjoy them. Your home just wouldn’t be the same without your lovely ideas and efforts. ❤
Thank you for sharing your friend's beautiful farm. The house, barn, and the little house are lovely and charming. Of course, the gardens are marvelous.
I'm impressed with that Laundry Stick, blueberry can be tough to get out! I had to show Mark that "repair job" on your porch sill....I told him even I could repair a sill like that! lol. He got a chuckle out of it and said to give you a "Like" for that one, hopefully the previous Owner didn't PAY someone to do that! Have a beautiful day my friend!
Linda, must tell you that I made the Jordan Marsh Blueberry Muffins this morning. They were the best blueberry muffins that I’ve had in a long time! Thank you for sharing.
So much to comment on, love look of blueberries in the darling basket, your making the muffins, how lovely the light coming in your dining/kitchen (lifts your spirit) the kitchen window flush w/counter top (thought it was going to be a mistake when you originally were designing it) boy was I wrong!!! It's a wonderful view and natural light pouring in. I'll not take more of your time Linda, but your videos are so soothing to my soul and also inspire me to get going on my own dreams/projects. Can't thank you enough. A kindred spirit!
@@newenglandfinelivinghi Linda love the colour white you chose about the trim love with it for awhile then you can change it every thing looks beautiful pat from canada
The chandelier looks lovely Linda…..I have always wanted to sit on a front porch, preferably in a rocking chair I love the look of them, lucky lady who lives there. Nice, I like the Simply White, I always think white walls shows up any picture or features you have on the walls. Yummy Muffins… ‘Where’s mine’…😄
The area you live in is absolutely mesmerizing and the older homes being updated instead of torn down is just a blessing. I hope to visit the New England area one day, just beautiful. I love your videos you bring such peace and enjoyment to my day. Thanks for the blueberry muffin recipe 😋
Oh goodness! Your video brought back so many memories of when we lived in PA back in the 80"s. We are from Okla. so the falls and Amish country were so beautiful we would almost cry. We were in our twenties with young family so needless to say the farmers markets were amazing. I too remember all kinds of muffins (making my mouth water) YUM!! But, alas, by the time we moved I had gained 20 lbs.!! (It's a no self-control thing! HA) 😄❤from GA!
Lovely video and so relaxing! It’s bringing back fond memories of my grandmother (Agnes Carter Burnham). Whenever we visited she always made an effort to have blueberry muffins from Jordan Marsh. As a child I didn’t think it was a big deal but now as a 75 year old grandmother I understand. Oh, the memories ❤️. Just one of the reasons I follow you ❤
Years ago, my husband and I stopped at a coffee shop near where we lived. They made the most delicious blueberry/cranberry muffins we ever had. We begged for the recipe and, understandably, they did not want to share it. Anyway, they ended up closing their business and we never got the recipe. However, one day I found a recipe online that sounded very much like the ones from the coffee shop. I made them, added sugar to the tops (just like you did) and used large muffin tins. They were absolutely the most delicious and tasted just as we remembered them. If you like cranberries and blueberries together, you might want to try adding both. The sweet and tart together make the muffin what it is. And I know there are many cranberry bogs in New England, so that would be a nice addition to your muffins. Thank you for sharing the Jordan Marsh recipe with us. P.S. That front door trim is unbelievable - as you said, "who would do this?" My husband and I have moved six times and it never ceases to amaze me how many "shortcuts" he has to fix - even on a new home. Love your videos and thank you for sharing your life with us.
Love your content and soothing voice. So happy to see your “bowl-lift” mixer. I have a bowl-lift mixer and it seems a more old fashion choice, but I love it and it reminds me of my mother. ❤
Hi Linda, New England is just so beautiful. So glad I get to call it home. I always look forward to watching your videos. Great idea with the lavender stems.
Using lavender stems as cake testers...neat idea. I just made blueberry bars and yum. Always enjoy your gardening and decorating videos. NH is so beautiful.
I have my mom's recipe card for Jordan Marsh blueberry muffins. I remember her making them when I was little. She told me a story about going to Jordan Marsh to buy the muffins and when she ate one she bit into it and got half a moth so she had eaten the other half. 😂 She decided she better start making them herself. I just got some blueberries from Long Hill farm in West Newbury, Ma. I know what I'm baking tomorrow. Thanks for the memory Linda💙
I got the recipe for Jordan Marsh muffins from the Boston Globe a million years ago. I used to get fresh blueberry muffins from Jordan Marsh when I worked in the financial district in Boston. … and hello, neighbor. Our Massachusetts home is nearby. We also used to have a sea captains home in Newburyport.
Loved the video. I found orange tulips on sale at Michael"s for 60 % off and purchased enough to make three carrot wreaths for Spring . I am excited . Thank you for the inspiration /
I too make "Jordan Marsh" blueberry muffins from a recipe I've had for over 40 yrs. Just passed it on to a friend who will be making them for her company. They are absolutely delicious. I grew up in Manchester NH and we had a Jordan Marsh in the next town over in Bedford NH.
This was a fun video! Wondering whether your friend would agree to an interior tour of her lovely home. I'm excited to bring New England to New Jersey in a box! Thanks so much for all your great content, I learn so much from watching you.
I've been having blue berry pan cakes every morning. Love them, they are so good. Your muffins look delicious ! Am so looking forward to my favorite season of the year .....Autumn. Love to see Willow in your videos. Such a sweet boy.
I was so disappointed to find the laundry stain stick and the dish towels sold out, but I didn’t let my visit go to waste! lol This was such a relaxing video-just watching and catching up on what’s keeping you occupied. I loved getting to see a closeup of Willow-she must’ve really thought y’all built the window seats for her. But it’s wonderful that she enjoys them so. Hope you’ll have an excellent week. Most of our week will be a little cooler-at least out of the roasting zone!
Being a Jersey girl that moved to the cape in 1985, I’ve heard from sooo many people just how delicious JM blueberry muffins are. Thank you so much for sharing this. How lucky for you to be able to have fresh picked blueberries. Now my family can experience these delicious muffins tomorrow morning for breakfast.
I scrambled for paper and pen to write down this recipe. As soon as the temperature drops down to the 80s I'll be baking these. Going to Jordan Marsh was a big deal and overwhelming for this country girl when I was little. My mother always wanted us to know there is a big world outside of our small town and we should explore it. I LOVE every one of your videos. They bring me home. Thanks.
Linda, your friends home is gorgeous. I've never heard of climbing hydrangeas. I too go through a lot of sugar and it's mostly for our hummingbirds. Your muffins look yummy and so pretty. I just made my list out to go shopping so I can start my Zucchini breads. I will have to put blueberries on my list too.
Just finished making your blueberry muffins and they are delicious. Your home is looking beautiful but let's give some love t Willow as she looks a little down in the mouth.
I can’t wait to try that recipe! When I lived in Alaska I would pick blueberries that grew wild up on the mountains. I used a blueberry picker that I bought at Walmart! Thanks for another wonderful video. 🤗✨💕
What a fabulous home tour Linda! Everything I L❤ve of New England. From your gorgeous decor, furnishings and treasure finds I sat and watched in awe. Everything is picture perfect! What is the name of the music score in your opening of the video. It is so magical and was the perfect choice. What wonderful moments it must be to wake up to your enchanting home and gardens every morning! It is something I would L❤ve to do!
Just a quick tip for taking blueberry stains out... pour boiling water over the stain and watch it dissolve. A friend of mine shared that with me and I have used it several times. Your muffins look delicious.
Blueberry muffins, yum! The work you are doing in your kitchen/dining is looking awesome. Thank you for sharing and seeing the other farm that had been redone. Beautiful landscapes everywhere. Your blueberries are huge. Love it!
Oh I remember going to Jordan Marsh and buying those blueberry muffins! I have Wymans wild Maine Blueberries in the freezer, picking raspberries in the garden right now. I like Kates butter as well. Love the decorating you are doing, lovely video….take care, catch up again next week! 🌝
Great video. To make the Jordan Marsh muffins fill just 6 of those muffin tins. They will be LARGE muffins like we remember. Just bake at 400 for 20-25 minutes.
Happy Sunday! Linda, your videos are so calming and inspiring. I took a picture of Jordan mash Blueberry Muffins and I will be making them. I am always excited to see what your videos will bring. I just love listening to your voice that makes me calm, quiet and content. ❤
I am a fairly new viewer-I want to tell you how much I enjoy your videos. They are so well done and the content is spot on. I eagerly await each new one-checking everyday. Your test is exquisite. Thankyou for doing these. I cannot get enough. Kathleen.
I was in New Hampshire this weekend. Had a great time visiting my daughter in Laconia. Took a ride up to North Conway for some shopping and on the way home stopped in Keene. Such a pretty state 🌞
Loved the video today! Thank you for the recipe. 🫐I will be making these blueberry muffins soon 🫐and you can bet I will be enjoying the paddle and spatula, too! 🫐
CAN YOU PROVIDE A LINK FOR THOSE LOVELY METAL TRIMMED FOOTED HURRICANE GLOBES FOR CANDLES ON YOUR DINING ROOM TABLE. Love following and seeing your videos of your lovely home. YOU DO AN INCREDIBLE JOB WITH A CLASSIC TRADITIONAL New England LOOK!! LOVE EVERYTHING YOU DO!!
Kitchen looks great. Easy way to get berry stains out of fabric (and costs nothing) is to simply put the fabric over a bowl and pour boiling water over the stain. Easy, peasy. I just did this twice last week after picking blackberries.
Copied the recipe, thank you. Will look to purchase the larger muffin trays. The kitchen lamps? You and your friend both have amazing property views and homes.
Oh those beautiful memories Going with my mother getting those muffins I have the same recipe Living in Texas they don't know the memories I have but lol they live the muffins Yummy , having my coffee now, I sure I had one lol I love the white on the walls , the black shades pop Another beautiful veido Your home is beautiful
Hi Linda, don’t know if you have seen this you tube channel (Rural Refurb) beautiful Sussex, England cottage and the lovely owner. Lots by of refurb and character pieces. Love your videos and you classic style x
Beautiful views of your friends garden and not a sign of untrained use of chemical weed control anywhere, something which unfortunately is rife around my area in the UK.
Everything looks so nice! Love your style, from the floors to the black lampshades! ❤ excited to see Autumn décor’ throughout! Thank you for the video and blueberry 🫐 muffin recipe!

My Auntie Anne, from Braintree, MA, taught me to pour boiling hot water over berry stains. It works! Always thought that was a New England thing.

Enjoy!!! Please note I had an error on the website recipe that is fixed now.
My husband said to thank you for posting the recipe!
@@kathyday9066 You're welcome!
Thanks.
The recipe can be found on my blog NewEnglandFineLiving.com Enjoy making them!
Thank you for a good Sunday look forward to seeing you 😊
I can’t wait to try that recipe!
Great tip!
Blueberry muffins, yum! The work you are doing in your kitchen/dining is looking awesome. Thank you for sharing and seeing the other farm that had been redone. Beautiful landscapes everywhere. Your blueberries are huge. Love it!
You are so welcome!
Loved your video and the recipe for blueberry muffins, and the fall box.
Such a busy lady...❤
Great video. To make the Jordan Marsh muffins fill just 6 of those muffin tins. They will be LARGE muffins like we remember. Just bake at 400 for 20-25 minutes.
Noted! Thank you!
Even filling just 10 makes for large muffins.
Looking forward to the autumn box
You and Ben enjoy your stay-cation 😃❤
We will thank you!
You really make my Sunday!! I love your videos! I have two huge lavender plants so I will be harvesting some stems . Thanks for the suggestions!
I'm so glad!
Happy Sunday! Linda, your videos are so calming and inspiring. I took a picture of Jordan mash Blueberry Muffins and I will be making them. I am always excited to see what your videos will bring. I just love listening to your voice that makes me calm, quiet and content. ❤

Taste-not test.
Thank you so much!
I was in New Hampshire this weekend. Had a great time visiting my daughter in Laconia. Took a ride up to North Conway for some shopping and on the way home stopped in Keene. Such a pretty state 🌞
It is a lovely area! I am a few towns over from Keene. I am there often
Wow, those are huge blueberries!! Birds can't eat them because they were so big. I may need to make those yummy looking muffins....gwen
Thanks for the tips!
Copied the recipe, thank you. Will look to purchase the larger muffin trays. The kitchen lamps? You and your friend both have amazing property views and homes.
Lucky for you that Ben got berry stains on you towel!! Now you can test your product!!😂😂😂

Beautiful views of your friends garden and not a sign of untrained use of chemical weed control anywhere, something which unfortunately is rife around my area in the UK.
