- I'm finally sharing our secret laundry room that's also a fun cocktail tavern in our antique home. I've been working on this room in our home for so long and it's almost done. ! I hope you enjoy this room tour full of information and products I used, followed by my weekly home and garden vlog. We will be making cheddar chive muffins, looking at the fabric I selected for the porch cushions, a visit to the vegetable and herb garden, and an update on the silverware I started to collect for our kitchen.

Sugarwood is beautiful! You are doing a beautiful job with this home! Thank you for sharing this journey, it inspires so many of us!
The tweed wallpaper is perfect. I always love that. Measuring a flour like that is not the correct way of doing it and it'll throw off a recipe.
Linda, thank you for being real about who you are. Starting the video wearing a very cute dress and heels, working in the kitchen barefoot, and running to the garden in rubber boots.
I think this home is wonderful! The views, gardens, privacy, and woodland cannot be beat! Not to mention the age and history of the home! You are truly blessed and a very good steward of what God has given!
Welcome kindred spirits and new visitors! Thank you for watching!
Hi Linda, you and Ben have done such an amazing job personalizing and beautifying your home. It truly spoke to you. I have had so much fun growing herbs this year at our Summer cottage. We purchased two raised garden beds so no more bending over. I have some chocolate mint and orange mint. I would love some cocktail ideas. You are always such a wonderful inspiration for me 😍😍
I love this!
Hello Linda. I’m sorry people felt like they had to tell you they liked your Groton house better😱. I loved the Groton house, but it was all your touches that made it so special. You “Linda’d” it so well. I love Sugarwood even more though and fell in love with it immediately when you first shared it. It is quintessential New England. It is well on its way to being Linda-fide and I’m convinced the nay sayers will change their minds as this precious house is reborn at the touch of your hands!
I think both houses are lovely, but the rock walls on this property take my breath away.
I actually love Sugarwood better than Groton House! The view is incredible, the Master is downstairs and I love the gardens better! You ‘re surrounded by woods, mountains, so much nature which adds to the charm of Sugarwood!
Mrs. Davis, your current home is lovely! Each home has its own personality and we add ours to its history. The tavern room is brilliant!
It would not be a Sunday without your channel premiers; thank you for sharing.
The tavern room is brilliant! 👌🏼 Sugarwood is coming along beautifully. 🙋🏼♀️🇨🇦🥰
Linda, what a spectacular video (and, yes, I've also watched several of your other videos, and they, too, are all just as spectacular as this one)! Sugarwood is beautiful inside and out and screams peaceful abode, tranquility, serenity, and complete, total and unrelenting blissfulness! Everything inside and outside that house is well curated and well placed; it's truly a gracious, lovely, and awesome place. You can feel GOD'S spirit all over that house, and that's what makes it so very special in so many ways!
So glad things worked out to see a video. My Sunday routine is my happy time with Linda, after church. Loved the dress and your room tour. Happy 4th of July.
Thank you!
You mentioned people like Groton House better; but oh, I think Sugarwood is sensational! Groton house was beautiful and lovely in its own right. Sugarwood is just fascinating -- unfinished and full of potential, with so many natural qualities and historic nuances. Love it! Thank you for sharing all your home journeys :)
This tavern room is brilliant. What a great idea functional and beautiful. ❤
When i was little i was told the thunder was god moving his furniture around 🙂 love the thunder storms from inside the house
Hi Linda….. that video was so much fun to watch. I loved every segment. You are a master at your craft of taking something old and turning it into such beauty, whether inside or out. You have such a vision for all things that have to with fine living. Love your versatility. 😀
I love Sugarwood! You've done so much work. Especially considering you had rotator cuff surgery last year. The kitchen design just brightens up the space and brings the outside in. Before it was dark and seemed closed in. I loved Groton too and the basement walkout garden room once it was freshened up with the green paint was my favorite room in that house. At Sugarwood, it's so nice to see the stone walls and how beautiful the flower beds are now. They were nice when you moved in, but you've completely transformed them. It inspires me to not be afraid to make changes to mine own home.
Love your dresses and your laundry/bar. Your sense of style is impeccable! I have no doubt whatever you choose to do with your house will be beautiful, I just can’t wait to see it!
I also discovered my husband and I are double related many generations back, and I made a sign for our home.
I loved the laundry in the Butler’s pantry. Being in the tavern just isn’t my cup of tea BUT it’s not mine, it’s yours. Love the color, the wallpaper - perfection! Oh, nice dresses too!
Good Morning Miss Linda, from Georgia! Dearest, of "You Tubers", thank you for sharing yesterday! First, you should buy that dress in every color! It is just lovely on you! Second, I was ending a very difficult week and your video yesterday was just the medicine I needed. Third, Your Sugar Wood, and all that entails, is so enchanting! The history, the location, the beauty is "personified" in you (and your Ben and Willow, of course) and who you "are". That is what makes a home, "a home", it is what you "feel" when you step inside and walk around outside. You have said this and many designers have the same philosophy. ❤ from GA! ( just my 'two cents" HA!)
I can’t think of any videos I enjoy watching as much as yours. You’ve got style, Linda…loads of style. Love everything you share! Thanks for another glimpse of New England fine living! 🥰
Love all your videos! Such a classy woman & thanks for sharing your life and tips with us. You are appreciated. 🥰
I sooo love this room. I'd love to do this in my office. Thanks for all the info. I loved Grouton House, as well, but Sugar Wood is developing into the same warmth and beauty. Your ideas are wonderful.
Your Spirit is like a warm, sweet breeze, Linda. Very healing Spirit you possess. Thank you for sharing your day with us.
Thank you so much! Hugs

I spent the weekend in Boston (from the UK) to enjoy the 4th July / Harborfest and fireworks etc. It was SO hot on Friday - and then humid and misty on Saturday and Sunday and I did wonder if you had cooler weather in the moutnains. But I loved being back in New England. Groton House was beautiful - but I think Sugarwood is undoubtedly it's equal. And the journey to make both houses into homes is fascinating - I love that you share that with us. Endlessly beautiful and entertaining. Thank you Linda!
I loved your previous home, but I think Sugarwood is lovely! Thank you so much for sharing it with us. Can't wait to see what is to come! 💕
Thank you for allowing us to take this journey with you! I love your style, it is homey, comfortable, and welcoming. No matter where you would choose to live, no matter how much love it may need, you would turn it into something amazing! Groton House and Sugarwood have a colonial vibe which I have always been drawn toward. Simply beautiful!
I so look forward to my Sundays and watching your videos! You’re such an inspiration to me and so many others! 😊
WOW Linda, you continue to have great visions for Sugarwood. You have made such progress in less then 2 years. Love every thing. Your garden's and raised beds are really lovely this. All the work last year really paid off for your Spring. We live in Cornelius, NC just north of Charlotte on Lake Norman and our Springs arrive in mid February to mid April. Its so nice to experience Spring all over again with you in May & June. GREAT idea for drying your herbs on a tention rod !!!! LOVED your music on the way to play Golf. Oh...your new Silverware is lovely and enjoyed the tip to help restore its luster. As usual thanks so much for sharing!
Golly love all the updates to your rooms! Your kitchen and laundry area are so unique and I truly love them.! Well done, Linda!
I watch so many tours of Castles and Chateaus and other sights of homes and of all those I love your house the most. It’s just beautiful and cozy. Love the wallpaper and paint colors and furniture.
Wow, thank you! I love the other channels too, but I do prefer cozy.
I don’t comment often much less twice on the same video😂 wanted to share that the mid size fork to your hotel silver set is a luncheon fork. I’ve made purchases to infill pieces through Replacements and haven’t been disappointed. Happy thrifting
Linda, your home is beautiful and I appreciate your taking us on the journey with you. I’ve been in the midst of a remodel of our English cottage home we built 20 years ago and have loved the process bumps and all. I would say having built our home and now with a full home remodel the contractor is key and appreciated. I’m going to do wainscoting and wallpaper to areas but all in good time. A few suggestions to consider in adjusting your muffin recipe are to try adding some sour cream or full fat Greek yogurt and switch out the baking powder only to half and half baking powder and baking soda. I also place a small container of water in my oven while preheating and during baking of cakes and muffins on convection as they have a tendency to dry out on that setting. Hope that my suggestions are useful. TYFS❤
There was a little bit of everything in this video! Style, decor, garden, fashion and COOKING! I ordered the two herb cookbooks you mentioned as I’ve got herbs in pots doing nicely on my patio and always happy to find simple recipes especially in summer heat. I laughed to note that the salt never went back in because you are so organized otherwise… it’s something I’d do -😂 Triple the chives… yay! Or scallions would be more flavorful. Tempted to grow some scallions from a grocery bunch. You and your daughter are so fun!
Love, love what you’ve done to your home and what still is to come! Such an inspiration!! So pretty in your new dresses!
Yes, leave one of your lettuces to go to seed, they have a lovely wispy flower that the pollinators love.
I love Sugarwood. It's a gorgeous home and property..10 plus!! Who in the world would say they don't prefer Sugarwood?
Linda, things are looking beautiful. And speaking of beautiful, you look fantastic in your new dress. Keep up the great work you do.
I love how u have optimized the most efficient use of space in your home, the color scheme is so calming and peaceful. So in love with the Tavern, love the idea of wallpapers behind the uppers. Happy baking and what a beautiful dress. Enjoy ur weekend. 👠💕🕶
"Echoing thunder is rolling through the mountains..." What a beautiful description! I'm new, so I don't know if you write, but if you don't you should!
Welcome and thank you!
Linda, your that jewel of a gal ,that can put that tool belt on,and get things done,or put that beautiful dress on and be , oh such a gorgeous Lady! I admire you so. Love all your accomplishments in your historic home.
Thank you so much and thank you for watching!
All I can say is I LOVE YOUR HOME and you look beautiful in your new dresses 🥰
I am so happy to see this new video posted. You always make my day!
You look so beautiful in your new dress and your house is coming along wonderfully. 💙
I'm delighted you post on Sunday; I take the opportunity to sit a bit, have a coffee and watch your charming, informative videos. Thank you for sharing. Hi Willow!
Linda…I absolutely love this house and the grounds. It is a testament to your design vision and talent that both houses are not only beautiful to look at but also warm and welcoming. Thank you for sharing.
I think Sugarwood is gorgeous! You have created a lovely home and the gardens are still beautiful. I know New England probably does not have the Red Lobster restaurants. Not one of my favorite but they have cheddar cheese biscuits that are to die for. Some of the Walmart groceries carried their dry mix and we would add fresh chives to the mix and the results were great. If you try to make them with Bisquick, you need to add butter and oil with fresh chives and cheddar cheese to the dry mix
. Good luck with the recipe. I enjoy your UA-cam episodes. The dresses were flattering on you.
Your current home is beautiful and so different and beats all others
What a find for your silverware. It is a lovely set. I think picking your fabric for the cushion is a good plan. I like to add pillows and throws to make a new season too.
Absolutely love the cabinet doors that slide in for the washer and dryer!
Linda, I love the way you often give us glimpses of various aspects of your life, going on practically simultaneously. I have a feeling, you have so many interests, this is how you seamlessly live your life, and get so many things accomplished. It's terrific.
🤗👏💛🌞
Linda, I love everything about Sugarwood and your style is just my favorite. I hope you will do a coffee table book for us one day.
Thats cool!! Very creative way to hide a washer/dryer and still keep valuable space 😊
I love what you're doing with Sugarwood! And the dresses look great on you!
Your home is beautiful a lot of work has gone into it and it certainly shows your love for each one not to mention your garden 🪴
Thank you so much!
I love watching you make your new home yours. Lovely video as always ❤
I love your videos and look forward to them each week. It's just like visiting with a special friend.

Linda, I am a New Englander and I love what you are doing with the new house.. Both houses are lovely and each has its own charm. Im so impressed with what you have done in such a short time. If you are doing consults please let me know. Im in MA and love your taste. I'd die for that pantry. I just love love love all you have done inside and out
I love your laundry space Linda. Very nice and you don't have to look at them when not in use. 👍. Dresses are perfect on you. I like them both. Thanks for having me over my friend. Blessings ❤
Yes, let one of the bolted lettuces go to seed so
you can grow more with homegrown seeds.
I just love looking forward to your videos and what you are doing at Sugarwood. It's all turning out so beautiful and uniquely you! Thanks so much for sharing it with us.

I don't subscribe to many channels but I am sure glad I found yours. I look forward every week to see what you are up to.
I had knee replacement 5 weeks ago so I am not doing much gardening this summer but love watching you.
I liked both of the homes, the wallpaper is fantastic.

Love the tavern.& I don't drink, but storage, laundry, den..love it!
One of my most memorable thunderstorms was in Peterborough, NH. The thunder just rolled back and forth off the mountains. Everything you have done to SugarWood is lovely!
You were probably hearing Peterborough thunderstorms in this video!
Beautiful tavern with a sentimental name. Both your homes are beautiful. Both have unique qualities. I love the land & ranch of Sugarwood. When I saw your strawberry I thought immediately how we only had 6 small strawberries & the chipmunks have had the rest. Have a great week. Your dresses are adorable & versatile.
Linda, You are doing a Fantastic job and I love how you and your hubby honor the history of Sugarwood ! God Bless ! 😊
Congrats on those beautiful strawberry such a happy site!!
I just started watching when you were moving into Surgar Wood. I love the house & what you are doing. The tavern came out wonderful & I especially love the grounds at Surgar Wood. You have worked very hard in a short span of time. Love watching the progress & it has inspired me to do some painting of my own. Keep up the good work & God bless. ❤
Beautiful job on your home so far, inside and out, I would love a Butler’s pantry like your’s, love it!
Beautiful video as always. I always let some of my lettuce bolt, flower and go to seed, then I collect the seeds to sow next season. Have a great rest of your week!
Love your little clay pot plant marker! Great idea I will use, thank you
Hello Linda,In my opinion you don't have to make Sugarwood "equally as beautiful" This home is so beautiful already!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I love it
Thank you so much!
The dresses are beautiful on you. They look like they were made for you!
What a special and lovely video Linda. You make it all look so easy and beautiful, although I know it takes a lot of work. Actually, since the first time you showed videos of Sugarwood I thought it was just gorgeous with a classy elegance. So glad you had the time to make this video! I look forward to watching them on Sunday afternoons. Have a happy (and restful) 4th of July!
I love Sugarwood. The fact that I am getting older and I am getting ready to be in a one story house so I am sure that will also be appreciated by you in your later years. I am already impressed by what you have done to add to the beauty and character of your home. You started with really great bones and design to create your perfect forever home.
Love this space !
The dresses are darling. I really do like what you've done with the house. The setting is lovely as well. Thanks for sharing!
Love that you replicated this room in this house. I appreciate the planning to utilize all the space in this room and the pantry. Beautiful, as is you in that dress!
Thank you!
Loved every minute of your video and thank you so much for sharing life at Sugarwood. I live in Texas and it looks so much cooler there with less humidity. Happy 4th!
