This woman gave up her career as a prosecutor to stay home and raise our 5 children. I am so blessed to have married such an amazing woman! She truly makes me Hungry for Home everyday!!!!!
This is more than just a house tour, it's an example of how to live a beautiful life. Every time she mentioned a painting by a friend, career advice from her uncle, her children's' artwork, her younger brother and his friend helping restore the property, hosting her daughter's wedding, all of the family parties, the apple trees gifted by her cousin....it shows you real wealth is not money, but relationships. Her life seems out of a novel, and she seems like such a wonderful person too.
@@robyndismon394 what an inspiration. Just wondering how i, as an unremarkably average joan can be more aware and awake to the many opportunities of such engagement with family, friends and community as i'm sure there are for all of us...

He obviously has a deep love and commitment to her to do so many projects! Wow! Full time job and non stop home improvements! And 5 kids!!!!!! Where are the other men capable of this! What a beautiful loving family. Home is where the heart is!
I’m blessed to have a husband like this who gets up at 4:30 am for work and is out the door till 7 pm; he then talks with our 7 children while working on projects, healing our sick chickens (seriously), counseling our young adults on life decisions and working in our church, too. I am blessed.
I am fortunate to have an amazing husband like this. We also live in a historic property, but located in the French countryside, which we have slowly been restoring over the years. Definitely need a great partner to accomplish such a task (especially with children).
What a remarkable woman who is really interesting , I saw her as someone who is so authentic and has a strong sense of family ,I loved how she ended her tour by saying my hope is that I’ve created a home where people can be imperfect and feel safe.. loved that.
The lady is SO articulate, creative, elegant, genuine, affectionate, appreciative, and humble. She really deserves the place. Thank you for sharing this amazing home and the lady of the house. ❤
As a single woman, I realized she was able to create that amazing space because of her amazing partner working with her and children supporting it. We all don't have that situation, unfortunately. However, we can all apply the same principles of making our home tell a story and be a safe place for family and friends. What an inspiring episode! Thanks, Homeworthy.

This has probably been my favorite tour so far. What an incredible woman, story and home! I think what made this tour so special was her storytelling. At one point, I got choked up when she said she prayed about what was next and her book was revealed. Thank you for introducing us to her and I’m on my way to support her and her family by buying her book.
STUNNING. Now THAT’S a house! Perfectly imperfect. Curated not decorated. It’s been edited to exactly what’s needed to make it feel utilitarian in a way that’s loved, welcoming and not overly done or staged…..a place you want to stay for long summer visits and fun winter, family filled weekends as well as simple dinners that stretch waaaay into the night with good food and good conversation! You can’t beat the feel of a large family farm. Beach properties are great and mountain properties are fab too but for that restorative, exhaling experience, a grass roots moment on a farm that’s spanned generations has a healing effect like no other place…..it’s the feel of the stones & the boards that you know have been touched millions of times, it’s the smell of the fields & the gardens, it’s the sound of the music that the birds, crickets and voices make when mixed together that make a healing symphony. This family HOME and it’s story is wonderful & inspiring. Thank you for sharing. Wishing you many more generations of loving ownership and successful living!!! ❤
This woman decides what she wants out of life and what means the most to her and goes for it, and surrounds herself and her family and friends with it. So admirable!
This story made me wish I still had a family. Glad they were willing & able to rescue this unique property. The Paris art piece she saved is simply great!

As a married mother of 3 boys, I can appreciate this womens strong sense of family stories and traditions. The fact that she finds ways to create a home that supplies her and her family with joy is a blessing to see. This was so enjoyable to watch! God bless.
And I add to my comment… live how she’s casually dressed.. she looks beautiful!! Not all dressed up in the showy look at me way. Again.. she should have her own show! She just is the best Homeworthy host you have had. Best.
I like how this lovely woman has filled her home with things that have a personal meaning or memory to her and how she really appreciates the character and history of the house.
"My heart has been to build a place where it's safe to not be perfect ." What an ethos, perspective, sensibility - and one pretty palpable when you meet Ruth, and are taken through her home and property. A vibrant and loving life. Much thanks.
I happen to live about a 15-minute drive away from Berwyn in Ardmore. I can attest that Berwyn in general is beautiful, but this property is just stunning. I understand why she is so proud of her husband.
This video seriously brought tears to my eyes. You and you husband have created a lifetime of comfort and happiness for your entire family for generations to come💖
This, i think, is what can happen when you find the right partner for each other. You reach your full potential, you create a world and a life for each other that you love, and you give more to others. Thank you for this. Such an inspiration.
This is the best episode. Her love for Thy Almigthy Father and for her family is a blessing to be watched and inspired by. God bless her and her family.
It’s wonderful that she said she prayed and asked the Lord about something. We are to be salt and light to the world and I believe she epitomizes this.
I just found Homeworthy and this is the first episode I watched. Oh my, how does one woman become so profound and gracious and talented and incredible to share what she and her husband have created!! God bless them! And I ordered her book, like I need another book but wanted that one. Watched this twice so far and will again!
This house is absolutely gorgeous, this shows how much you don’t need a so called decorated. This lady is way better at decorating than any of the decorator houses that I’ve seen on your show so far
I am not really a farm house person but this is authentic and lovely! I respect that they kept the original integrity of the home in the renovations. And how touching with the framed song her mother wrote to her. Truly personal like a home should be!
This is the kind of thing that feeds my soul. Being able to stroll through someone’s home and sit with them and hear the story of their home and family….I just cannot get enough. What a beautiful home. What a beautiful lady. What a beautiful story. ❤
Absolutely a beautiful home!! I am the artist that painted the apple tree painting in the living room!! I love to see my work being loved so much by its owners ! Thanks for sharing this tour!
I would basically live in her backyard. Her home is very cozy and beautiful, filled with love. AND I LOVED the barn, herb garden, rose garden, chicken coup, scenery. Just wonderful.
Next week my husband & I are moving to a farm in Pennsylvania. 500’ of Lake Erie frontage. We can’t wait to bring the home of the original Archer Farms back to life. To honor a home’s history is to honor the present time. Creating a safe space is what home is all about. I am going to buy her book!
Buy FAR!! Ruth is the most down to earth, awesomely cool woman ( even my adult daughters agreed!) to ever be on Homeworthy!!! She has an exquisite home that is so welcoming and warm and beautiful! And it doesn’t look like a museum piece.. beautifully decorated but so comfortable. I’m sure her kids live coming home and the love that you see through her , her husband and family is wonderful. No other episode or host comes close to Ruth.
What I love about Homeworthy is that we get to meet such creative, talented, and interesting people who share their homes and lives with us. The homes are all unique and simply beautiful but what I am noticing is the common thread is family. Whether the family is parents, grandparents, children, friends, or pets they're remembered and cherished throughout their homes. Many of their possessions while beautiful more importantly have memories attached to them and were often given to them by family and friends. Ruth's home is beautiful and she is so multi-talented. She appears to have such a generous and giving heart.
I love this episode because Ruth embodies life, love and adventure. Her statement that a house and its contents tell a story is a wonderful way to look at one's home; their's is an estate which the majority of us don't own but the message is the same and we can be inspired by her style of decorating and hosting. This house looks like it's lived in which I appreciate.
Wow, I have never heard a women speak so beautiful about her family and especially her husband, truthfully and I’m 75 years old. And my name is also Ruth 👍🥰❤️
This EXCEPTIONAL woman... and her home... captivated me beyond words. She should have her own show, this being Episode 1... I’m incredibly inspired... and in awe!!!
Ruth, you are a beautiful woman inside and out. Your home and property are absolutely gorgeous! The stories behind so many of your treasures are priceless. What comes through the most is your love of God, family, friends and neighbors and making your home a welcoming place and a safe haven for them. That is a gift which God has give you. Be blessed.
Family & friends makes "Home Sweet Home." She & her husband's proved it. This is magnificent stories of her journey to build this home from scratch. God Bless.🙏
As a native Pennsylvanian, I love the colonial homes here. Many think New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Hampshire are the stars. But honestly, Pennsylvania and New Jersey have a lot to give. Just like this incredible video ❤ Thank you for sharing ❤
Also, to Ruth, I think your home is the most beautiful in our state. What takes your home above and beyond is the sense of a happy family exudes from every room! The barn walls ooze love, family and fun. I could almost hear the laughter when you guided us through it! Much love and thank you for sharing your home❤❤
Love the house, love this lady's personality and style, love all the artwork and details which show this is really a labour of love. This is a 'Home". This is the kind of house that I want to live in, not those glossy that are over-decorated.
Magnificent labor of love. And she was a joy to watch. She is whimsical yet down-to-earth; charming and real. This is truly a dream home, the type of home you see for sale on a website like “Old House Dreams” but you know to restore and remodel it as well as she and her husband have would take a fortune and a lifetime. It’s my dream home but mine would be on a much smaller scale. A lot of labor, great interior decorating, and I’m sure love have gone into this masterpiece and I’m grateful she has shared it with us. Great choice for an episode Homeworthy!!!
Love the authenticity of this lady and the history of this home. Her husband is exactly the same as mine. That kitchen looks like a real kitchen. A kitchen that is actually used not just for decoration. Loved this episode.
I too love this episode. I think I love this home because it seems to have developed so organically, it feels real and not too designer-precious. This type of home and decor is within my reach, is relatable, unlike some of the homes featured. I love the stone ruins.
Ruth, thank you for welcoming Americans into your exceptionally, intimate and family oriented historical home. It remarkably demonstrates equally your love of family and decorating.
This is one of my favorite Homeworthy videos. My family dairy farm was in the Tunkhannock area and this brought back memories. I now live in SC, but I love the historic stone houses in Eastern PA. At my age, there's not much family left, but this took me right back to being a kid on the farm. I know I'll be watching this more than once.
I just adore that quote - "A safe place not to be perfect in" Thank you for that - I feel in my heart that is the truest definition of Home!! Your home is Incredible - indoor & outdoor space - just WOW!! ♥
Wow! When she showed that hallway with the peekaboo doors and the picture tucked up here... I got teary-eyed. What a wonderful, warm, memorable home everywhere!
I had tears in my eyes all the way through this. Her love for her family and friends shines through her. I could listen to her all day long and still want to hear more. What a joyous life Ruth has had with Bob. They've worked their butt's off and created a stunning home with outstanding gardens and raised 5 wonderful artistic children. I feel all warm and fuzzy after having peeped into their life, you may not think it's perfect Ruth, but it's as near to perfect as is possible. You and Bob were made for each other. I'm going to order her book & bake those cookies.
Wow. Just wow. This woman is inspirational in so many ways. Her home is reflective of her heart- warm, full of authentic love, accepting, and beautiful. Her faith radiates in a way that is humanly angelic. I'd love to be a guest here.
This home... no words to really express how truly beautiful it is.. Time at the dinner table is the best way to build a family... togetherness is the key to the treasure of life
I have watched every HW house tour and this by far has been my favourite. Not just because the home was so beautiful but the hostess-Ruth was so warm and charming to watch. Give that woman her own show. Thank you for the introduction to Ruth. Ordering my book right away!

This is my favorite Homeworthy episode. She expressed so well what "home" can be for us - a safe place to be imperfect. They have also created a beautiful, thoughtful, comfortable space.
There are no words for this video. I love every inch of this home and grounds, but the most beautiful thing is the owners. The love and warmth come pouring out. The stories are priceless. “ To create a safe place, to not be perfect” is the most empathetic thing I’ve heard. Thank you so much for sharing. I can’t wait to buy your book. I want to be your neighbor.❤️

❤
These farms are found in ⛰ too 🙂
You have such a gift of writing! I hope you can write something special yourself someday!
This woman decides what she wants out of life and what means the most to her and goes for it, and surrounds herself and her family and friends with it. So admirable!
Hello friend!!! How are you doing? Hope am not being rude for writing you first?
I loved this video. She spoke of the Lord. How precious ! Her home is beautiful!
Hello Karen!!! How are you doing? Hope am not being rude for writing you first??
This story made me wish I still had a family. Glad they were willing & able to rescue this unique property. The Paris art piece she saved is simply great!
It is really wonderful, what a warm and loving home and family you have. ❤😊
I don't have a family either. All passed or left. Wish I was someone else.
@@katherinebopp2021I think you meant to leave your comment in the main section, and not under mine. You might want to delete it here & move it to where the lady who's home we toured can see it. Have a nice day.
@@Lady_in_Waiting you are unique wonderful you. I wish beautiful gifts from source for you, to make you feel so loved 💞
Omg....I am totally awestrucked by this woman and her home she is a classy lady!
Glad she spoke about how one career cannot replace creativity, flexibility, & family.
As a married mother of 3 boys, I can appreciate this womens strong sense of family stories and traditions. The fact that she finds ways to create a home that supplies her and her family with joy is a blessing to see. This was so enjoyable to watch! God bless.
There is something so amazing about the lost art of femininity
Hello drought!!! How are you doing? Hope am not being rude for writing you first?
This home made me feel love and family.
Hello how are you doing today
And I add to my comment… live how she’s casually dressed.. she looks beautiful!! Not all dressed up in the showy look at me way. Again.. she should have her own show! She just is the best Homeworthy host you have had. Best.
Hello. Good day. How are you doing? Hope you are fine and staying safe out there?
I like how this lovely woman has filled her home with things that have a personal meaning or memory to her and how she really appreciates the character and history of the house.
Hello Jaime!! How are you doing? Hope am not being rude for writing you first?
You can instantly tell she is down to earth. I love that she decorates with items that have sentimental value. Great episode!
"My heart has been to build a place where it's safe to not be perfect ." What an ethos, perspective, sensibility - and one pretty palpable when you meet Ruth, and are taken through her home and property. A vibrant and loving life. Much thanks.
Hello Karen!!! How are you doing? Hope am not being rude for writing you first?
Not winded at all; a proud mama of her daughters...and family.
I happen to live about a 15-minute drive away from Berwyn in Ardmore. I can attest that Berwyn in general is beautiful, but this property is just stunning. I understand why she is so proud of her husband.
How can you NOT love her?!?
This has got to be my favorite homeworthy episode! I LOVED her last statement about creating as safe place to be imperfect. Wow!
Hello !!! How are you doing? Hope am not being rude for writing you first?
This video seriously brought tears to my eyes. You and you husband have created a lifetime of comfort and happiness for your entire family for generations to come💖
Oh. Wow. this is my favorite. The stories, the back history... .. I mean... This is a home.

i am sooooo happy to find a home tour channel that actually lets the owners talk and tell their story. such a more enriching way to watch.
"... a safe place to not be perfect." Clearly Ruth understands what makes a home. Great home. Great story. Thank you.
Ruth! This house is so precious, but not as precious as you and your husband!!!
I JUST LOVE Ruth and her beautiful home and property. May God bless your family for generations.
It’s wonderful that she said she prayed and asked the Lord about something. We are to be salt and light to the world and I believe she epitomizes this.
Hello kath!!! How are you doing? Hope am not being rude for writing you first?
Hello kath!!! How are you doing? Hope am not being rude for writing you first?
I believe this home worthy show, has been my favorite one. I’ve watched many ..
This house/property was meant to be owned by them. Such a blessing ❤️
Hello Anne!!! How are you doing?? Hope am not being rude for writing you first???
I just found Homeworthy and this is the first episode I watched. Oh my, how does one woman become so profound and gracious and talented and incredible to share what she and her husband have created!!
God bless them! And I ordered her book, like I need another book but wanted that one. Watched this twice so far and will again!
Hello debel!!! How are you doing? Hope am not being rude for writing you first??
This house is absolutely gorgeous, this shows how much you don’t need a so called decorated. This lady is way better at decorating than any of the decorator houses that I’ve seen on your show so far
Hello Angela!!! How are you doing? Hope am not being rude for writing you first?
I am not really a farm house person but this is authentic and lovely! I respect that they kept the original integrity of the home in the renovations. And how touching with the framed song her mother wrote to her. Truly personal like a home should be!
Hello!!! How are you doing? Hope am not being rude for writing you first?
This is one of the best of these I have seen. I like the real people, not just rich designers.
Hello Kim!!! How are you doing? Hope am not being rude for writing?
Hello!!! How are you doing? Hope am not being rude for writing you first?
I love this episode because Ruth embodies life, love and adventure. Her statement that a house and its contents tell a story is a wonderful way to look at one's home; their's is an estate which the majority of us don't own but the message is the same and we can be inspired by her style of decorating and hosting. This house looks like it's lived in which I appreciate.
Hello Louis!!! How are you doing? Hope am not being rude for writing you first?
She is the best host and story teller ever. A wonderful visit to a lovely home.
I have to say, this was the best Homeworthy video I’ve seen. Such a wonderful woman sharing her home. It truly was a joy to watch.
Hello friend!!! How are you doing? Hope am not being rude for writing you first?
That house is everything you would want a home to be and what a beautiful woman and family story.
Be blessed.
This is such a peaceful tour. I pray God's continual blessings upon this lady, her husband, and their family. 🙏🏽
Family & friends makes "Home Sweet Home."
She & her husband's proved it.
This is magnificent stories of her journey to build this home from scratch.
God Bless.🙏
Hello!!! How are you doing? Hope am not being rude for writing you first?
This woman celebrates true meaning of home. She obviously has a the gift of hospitality. Loved the art work through out the home.
Hello amber!! How are you doing? Hope am not being rude for writing you first?
Love the authenticity of this lady and the history of this home. Her husband is exactly the same as mine. That kitchen looks like a real kitchen. A kitchen that is actually used not just for decoration. Loved this episode.
U are incredibly deeply blessed then if ur husband is like hers
I too love this episode. I think I love this home because it seems to have developed so organically, it feels real and not too designer-precious. This type of home and decor is within my reach, is relatable, unlike some of the homes featured. I love the stone ruins.
What a wonderful “Homeworthy” and even lovelier host! We need more of her genuine positivity in the world! LOVE! 💕
Hello how are you today
Hello Lisa!!! How are you doing? Hope am not being rude for writing you first?
Ruth, thank you for welcoming Americans into your exceptionally, intimate and family oriented historical home. It remarkably demonstrates equally your love of family and decorating.
This is one of my favorite Homeworthy videos. My family dairy farm was in the Tunkhannock area and this brought back memories. I now live in SC, but I love the historic stone houses in Eastern PA. At my age, there's not much family left, but this took me right back to being a kid on the farm. I know I'll be watching this more than once.

She had me within the first 2 minutes when she shared the sculpture of the kids. Wow!
I just adore that quote - "A safe place not to be perfect in" Thank you for that - I feel in my heart that is the truest definition of Home!! Your home is Incredible - indoor & outdoor space - just WOW!! ♥
Hello friend!!! How are you doing? Hope am not being rude for writing you first?
Wow! When she showed that hallway with the peekaboo doors and the picture tucked up here... I got teary-eyed. What a wonderful, warm, memorable home everywhere!
such a beautiful soul. every corner of her house shows her love to her family and people
My parents did the same thing: flipped houses until they found the one. I think it has taught me so much about design and architecture and homemaking.
This is your best episode yet !!!! It’s a true true home. No unrealistic designer touches. It’s loved and unique. Love the farms !
Hello friend!!! How are you doing? Hope am not being rude for writing you first?
I had tears in my eyes all the way through this. Her love for her family and friends shines through her. I could listen to her all day long and still want to hear more. What a joyous life Ruth has had with Bob. They've worked their butt's off and created a stunning home with outstanding gardens and raised 5 wonderful artistic children. I feel all warm and fuzzy after having peeped into their life, you may not think it's perfect Ruth, but it's as near to perfect as is possible. You and Bob were made for each other. I'm going to order her book & bake those cookies.
Hello, how are you doing? Hope am not being rude for writing you first?
Wow. Just wow. This woman is inspirational in so many ways. Her home is reflective of her heart- warm, full of authentic love, accepting, and beautiful. Her faith radiates in a way that is humanly angelic. I'd love to be a guest here.
Hello how are you today
This home... no words to really express how truly beautiful it is..
Time at the dinner table is the best way to build a family... togetherness is the key to the treasure of life
Hello
I have watched every HW house tour and this by far has been my favourite. Not just because the home was so beautiful but the hostess-Ruth was so warm and charming to watch. Give that woman her own show. Thank you for the introduction to Ruth. Ordering my book right away!
Hello Christiner!! How are you doing? Hope am not being rude for writing you first?
I have watched countless videos like this and I have to say I LOVE this video and the way she narrates this! She is so down to earth, not snooty, or cookie cutter, just very natural! Love love love it!!
My favorite tour by far, not just for the property but the meaning and values embedded within. She has such a great energy!
Hello thearea!!! How are you doing? Hope am not being rude for writing you first?
I felt God in her home. Indeed she is the only Homeworthy I’ve watched that mentioned faith. Just beautiful what they built together from ruins. ❤️❤️❤️
This is my dream home/property!!! Ruth and her home are just beautiful, stylish in that effortless way and so warm and welcoming. I hope she does more videos of her property and the out buildings.
This is my favorite Homeworthy episode. She expressed so well what "home" can be for us - a safe place to be imperfect. They have also created a beautiful, thoughtful, comfortable space.
Hello friend!! How are you doing? Hope am not being rude for writing you first?
This was such a blessed episode. It really warmed my heart. I'm so inspired by her story of family and love. The home and farm are amazing

What a beautiful homestead you have! I believe it is your attitude and love of life that has made it the incredible place it is. Even though I don’t know you, I felt like a welcome guest in your home throughout this tour. We need more people like you in this world who are filled with positivity and who shine a grateful and graceful beacon of light for all to see. Thank you for sharing your amazing, love-filled home.
More than the home, I love the LOVE that this family shared. How the husband continues to honour her and their family through building this home.
