    I’m 140 Lbs before gear Vet C rider and the only change I made to the rear shock was a lighter spring to get the sag in check. The stock valving on that shock is very good.

    very good review on the gearing. (the whole bike) Would be great, when you change the rear sprocket. To let us know how 3rd gear pulls out of corners. I have a 2020 300xc and the debate between 2nd and 3rd gearing is concerning between the 2020 and 2023 models.

      Thanks very much. I'm going to experiment with different sprocket sizes for track use. For the trails the stock Gearing has been great. But for the track I think some other combinations could be spot on. Will update with another video after I test another sprocket.

    Duff, have you had a chance to test range in the woods ? hoping for some real world mileage in the woods with the stock tank

    • @duffyrides
      @duffyrides  11 місяців тому

      Hey there. I’ve done a few trail rides with this bike but nothing that would push the limits of the stock tank’s capacity . For my use case, just a morning out in the hills , it has been fine.

    For a 140 pound guy would you pick this or the 125xc?

    • @duffyrides
      @duffyrides  Рік тому +1

      Hey. It depends on the skill level of the rider and the attributes you are looking for in a bike. Intermediate and pros at 140 would enjoy it. But at 140 pounds I think most people would prefer the 125. Again it really comes down to the skill level /experience of the rider. Hope that helps.

      @@duffyrides I have 30 years riding experience, a B level hare scramble racer. I have only owned big bore bikes besides a yz250f and I kinda liked the less power and nimble feeling of the small bore. Right now I have a 2018 Ktm 250 xcw. but want an XC..

    Much vibration felt through the new bikes?

    • @duffyrides
      @duffyrides  9 місяців тому

      KTM has used a counter balancer in recent years to reduce vibration. I dont have any complaints where that is concerned. Hope that helps.

    Why xc, not the sx?

    • @duffyrides
      @duffyrides  7 місяців тому

      I’ve always wanted to try the XC models for the slightly wider gearing on the occasional trail ride and the electric start. However it’s just a coincidence that even the motocross models have E-start now too. I love the power delivery of the XC though. I think in many ways, and for many people on regular motocross tracks it is the right choice (as long you also intend to enjoy the trails ). Otherwise I could have been very happy with the SX model also.
