Enduro MTB is Awesome with Downhill SPEED! Epic Scenery too!
Where did you get your Syncros bar/stem combo? I'm looking for a 38cm x 110. Thanks!
Hey there. A Scott bicycle dealership. They are pretty much the only ones that will stock these. My dad spotted one while he was traveling and knew I was looking for one. If you are in the US then send me a message on instagram and I’ll try to get you in touch with a Scott bike shop there that I’m pretty sure can help.
@@duffyrides Great! Thanks for the quick response!
Hey, Bullshit! just because it fixed your audio, doesn't mean it fixes everybody's audio!! take your blanket statement and shove it up you ASS!!!!!!!!
Je suis l heureux propriétaire de l addict rc pro , rien à redire sur ce super vélo , très complet et passe partout , le graal serait d upgrader les roues zipp
Awesome. I have Princeton Carbonworks Peak 4550 wheels on mine. Highly recommend them !
@ entièrement d accord ces roues st fabuleuses
I have had my Megatower V2 for 2.5 years now and still love it just as much as the 1st day I have owned it. For a full 29er, there is no other bike I would rather own.
Awesome stuff man!
Beautiful initial shot.,..thanks
Never size up… at your height, the SL7 in 52 is appropriate tbh. Unless you have unusually long legs. I love the Scott addict, but the SL7 is very very similar. I have a 1 piece Avian Canary. I highly recommend you try it….
Agreed. That’s why I suggested to the other person that they should go into the store and try both the 54 and 56. As for the SL7 here, the seat post needs to be very far extended for me , pretty much to the maximum within the safety limits. But it fits me well. I have a one piece bar and stem installed on the Scott Addict RC this week so stay tuned for that video !
Hello dear' U need a professional youtube thumbnail designer? Lat me know please
I have been using my Scott Addict RC40 for nearly 2 years...happy with it, much cheaper. But my wish for Specialized Tarmac SL8 in the future.
Awesome to hear you enjoying the Scott as well. Yes the Tarmac SL8 is an amazing machine. Can’t go wrong there.
Thank you for your input. Where I live, Addict RC 30 is $2610, while Tarmac Comp is $3150 even though they have comparable specs except arguably Addict having better frame tier. So it’s a no brainer for me to go with the Addict.
Thanks appreciate that feedback ! At the end of the day they are both great. Enjoy whatever you ride !
@duffyrides Haha np. You said you were riding a size 54 frame, right? I’m 180cm (5’11) with an inseam of 84cm. Online bike fits and Scott’s website recommend me size 56 (L) frame. Do you think so as well?
@@BurndTire I strongly suggest you go to the shop and try the 54. The size 54 in the Scott is a bit larger than a regular 54 I believe. Every bike is unique. I’ve had someone that rides a size 56 Scott Addict RC (just like mine) sit on my bike (size 54) and he likes the way the 54 feels. There is a strong chance that the 54 is the right size for you so it’s best to go and try one in the store.

I appreciated the switch of scenery at the end 😂
thanks!

@@duffyrides recently i compered rc15 to emonda slr9 with ultegra And trek is noticably lighter, weights 7.1kg with pedała/ however 30% more expensive Out od my buget
I own two Scott addicts. I have ridden the 2021 Foil RC10 (so comfy) & the 2024 Foil ultimate (too stiff for UK, perfect in Switzerland) - no difference for mere mortals in terms of felt watt savings. I have the same SL7, with Sram Red. It’s marginally better. With the same wheelset, both bikes feel really good but the SL7 holds speeds slightly better but nothing significant in comparison to the Scott addict. The SE/Endurance addicts are even more comfortable focused for those in their 60s.
Great feedback ! The SL7 does in fact hold speed slightly better than the Scott but in the climbs I find the Scott to be perfect for me and that is somewhat of a priority on my side. You are right about the 2021 Foil being comfy ! I miss that bike as well. Good bike ! Thanks for the feedback once again.
Thanks for the review, 100% this bike doesn't get nearly enough airtime. The grape vine tells me that a new generation of Addict RC will launch end of this year, available early 2025 - I'm excited to see how Scott take the Addict to the next level, especially when you consider pairing it with a set of juicy Capital SL 40s, whenever they emerge into the real world.
@@Hunttherider thanks appreciate it ! Yes the new one should be right around the corner I’m thinking.
thank you for the great review, looking at 2024 rc15 and this may have just sold it for me
Glad I could help ! Thanks for the feedback.
I’d recommend an xc to anyone who rides anything besides motocross. That’s all the sx is for motocross.
For that price, i would rather save up a bit and get the Garmin Varia Radar 515. Lasts me for about 10 Hours with the Radar on, without the radar on, way over 40 in Daytime blink mode
Certainly not a bad option either !
Flare RT is way better
No night time shots? Pointless video, especially when you pay that kind of price. Why would anyone want 500 lumens??? Cateye viz 450, lezyne 300 pro etc are more than enough for general road use.
@@aliensstolemybeer5362 we mainly ride in the day time here, that’s when these lights really need to perform their best. All of them are more than adequate at night time but the day time is a better stress test if you want to put it that way. I have the lezyne as well. Also a great light. Thanks for the feedback , I’ll try to get some night shots if I review another light.
@@duffyrides night shots should always be included. I don't think it's a good idea buying lights without seeing how bright they are in the dark. I don't believe in using lights in the daytime, pointless in my opinion.
@@aliensstolemybeer5362 can you elaborate on why daytime lights are pointless for cyclist ? I’m sure the entire cycling community would appreciate your theory ? And what type of cycling do you do ? What bike do you ride as well might I ask ? Do you also race ?
@@duffyrides I own a fully fledged racing bike, bmc equipped with dura ace and ultegra. Fsa plasma bars, aero seat etc. I've never seen the need for day time lights, cyclist did well before these type of lights were available to buy. I use to race years ago but now it's leisure and training.
@@aliensstolemybeer5362 BMC road machine or Team machine ?
I have a warranty replaced and I have the V1 but the V2 is a lot longer and I'm afraid that if I go with that it will not be a poppy and as fast. The high tower is almost the same as the V1 megatower now just 145 rear vs 160. I went mega bc I am a heavier rider and like going downhill fast but have a lot of mellow trails in Missouri and Arkansas and I don't jump or do big drops just enduro races. Max I'm dropping is 2 to 3 feet.
It’s a great bike. Hope you’re enjoying it !
You went with the xc? It sounds like you said sx at the end of the video.
The XC.
Nice, I just picked up my first bike yesterday. ‘25 250xc
@@duffyrides you clearly said you went with the SX, lol
@JoshStreetDesign did I ? Definitely went with the XC as shown in the video lol. Have a good one.
How’s the XC going for you ? Hope you’re enjoying it !
Where in the world would they let you on a track without full leathers???
in Barbados apparently lol there are states in US that dont allow lane splitting (even though research shows its quite safe.) but allow NO HELMET riding. Insanity. I've crashed at 90mph on track with full leathers and helmet, that helmet saved my life and the leather, my skin.
Helmets are a must! I’m mainly into motocross and not road riding. I wear full gear on my motocross bikes (helmet , neck brace , jersey , pants , boots , goggles etc ! ! ) This particular day was just a fun easy cruise to the Bushy Park track and did some laps. I was also not pushing it close to race pace, anything serious and I would have full leathers!
Hahahah no gloves, in t-shirt 😂 where is this ?
Bushy Park Barbados
Why does your Street Triple not have a light switch? I have one as well and it has a switch to turn on/off the low beam. Also your indicators are the old incandescent bulb ones, doesn't the LED ones come as standard?
nope led ones are extra.. Im also going to book street triple and they told me its extra
We purchased ours in the US. Maybe slightly different to the UK versions where the optional lights are concerned ? Not sure. Where is yours from ?
Plan to put on an exhaust?
Not at this time. Bike works and sounds great as is.
Sweet stuff bro💪🏾 street triple sounding lovely as usual.
Thanks!
They make them in a more low key color
Yes I’ve had them in other colors. Very good pedals.
Great Video, Does this bike usually sell here in barbados? If so how much do they usually cost?
No unfortunately these bikes are not sold in Barbados. Most people import them from the US and Europe.
@@duffyrides If you may can you kindly guide me through the process?
Great Video, Question does one of theese bikes sell in barbados? How much do they usually cost?
Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately not. Miami would be the easiest place to get one if you’re based in the Caribbean.
I have a 23 300xc…70 hours on the bike and it has always felt harsh and horrible I spent $1200 on getting it tuned at 55 hours. It’s def better but still the faster I push the worse it feels I hate this bike lol
Who did the suspension for you ? Did you ever find a good setting ?
Which one has higher cockpit and more relaxed geometry?thanx mate
Hey man. To be honest these are both race bikes through and through. I personally find the specialized frame tk be more compliant over rough roads. But there’s not much in the way of feel in terms of geometry. If you are not racing then I’d strongly take a look at something like the new Giant Defy. Let me know what you decide !
RIP toptube.
Im 60 and my very first dirt bike ever was the 250 xc i have 180 hours on the bike and I have been very impressed.
Awesome stuff ! It’s a great bike !
what is the maximum tire size?
Hey there. Officially I believe it is 28 and I run 28s. However there is a lot of room there and I see no reason why you couldn’t run 30s.
What’s best for hare scrambles?
Definitely the XC over the SX model for hare scrambles.
Fantastic vid! Been tossing up between sx and xc recently, definitely gave me some stuff to think about.
Can’t go wrong with either ! But glad I can help in some way 👍
I just bought Scott Addict RC 40 2023 and can’t wait to take it out … it’s the best bang for buck out there
Congrats on the new bike ! They are excellent machines. Enjoy it.
@@duffyrideswhat about Giant TCR? Great value for money, comfort and stiffness to weight ratio👍
@@Pablo_Coach Giants are excellent value for money. Certainly !
Love it
Have you ridden the 300 xc and compared it to the 250xc. Keen to know what you felt and why you chose the 250. I’m about to buy one or the other !
So the foil for flat addict for hills.
I’d say so. However the Addict is also fast on the flat with the right wheels.
One correction. All modes except rain have full engine HP. Rain is limited to 100HP.
Great bike and excellent review video. Would you say the Peak 4550 wheels perform as good or better than Zipp or ENVE wheels of similar depth?
Thanks for the feedback ! Unfortunately I cannot speak on the Zipp and Enve wheels. I can say though that the Peak are excellent wheels and the wave in the design really does help with crosswinds as compared to the ROVALS on our SL7.
This bike revalved with a MX setting that’s a little bit on the softer side, is a Grand Prix weapon.
It may depend on your riding style, but it sounds like the front fork can be set up to help slow the bike down when you are off the throttle by being softer and compressing when off the throttle. Another advantage to that is when the front for compresses and shortens the bike becomes more nimble because the caster changes. So, in effect you can steer with the throttle using engine braking or accelerating. Let off the throttle to change your line and getting on to transfer weight to the rear to hold the line. Oversteer vs understeer. It is a different riding style that involves modulating the throttle in the power band. I come from a mtb background and I setup my suspension to get a lot of grip in the front and to be predictable and stable in the rear. I have a BMW z3 roadster with a bunch of aftermarket parts to make the suspension stable and predictable. I have set the suspension up to be playful and control the body weight with the throttle. For a car I want all the energy and movement to go into the suspension flexing and not into the bushings. The stock bushings make the suspension loose and do not provide feedback that I want. So, I have track polyurethane bushings to transfer the energy into moving the suspension and removing the mush. I want the body roll to be predictable. Given it has four wheels and not two, the car leans according to the g-forces and I cannot control that like a bike. But I want the body to pitch and yaw so I can feel what I am doing with the steering and throttle. As I am steering and modulating the throttle, I should feel the car coming together to get what I want at any moment. You really can steer with the throttle due to oversteer and understeer. Like cars, your wheelbase determines how nimble it will be or how stable it will be at high speeds. Also, your caster or angle of your fork for bikes will determine the nimbleness or stability. A raked chopper will not have a tight turning radius or be responsive at low speeds, but it will be great for cruising in a straight line at high speeds, because the wheelbase has been lengthened and the angle of the forks (caster) had changed.
Awesome feedback man. When it comes to suspension , it is highly subjective and most people have a preference. Thanks for your input. FYI I ride MTB also 👌
Would love to see your opinion on the new 300's my 2024 sx is insane you can lug that thing in 3rd
