I would NEVER dry brush after Nair. Ouch! But dry brushing has helped my KP on the back of my arms. I also dry brush my legs before shaving. Which is about twice a week.
Which direction do you brush for your arms? I sort of struggle with kp too, but it's mostly gone away since switching body lotions and using glycolic acid. I'm intrigued by dry brushing since it works with the lymphatic system, but I do have dry skin =/
@@chai_lattes I brush up so towards my shoulder. You’re supposed to brush in the direction of the heart. I dry brush the rest of my body at the same time. That and Urea has helped my KP.
Regularly putting something on your skin, that will dissolve hair doesn't sound like a good idea in the first place, imo 👀. Never tried it myself, but how could that not irritate your skin? Although I symphazise. I got IPL way back when, in my early twentieth, because shaving always caused me rashes and ingrown hairs and I hated the stubble. Best money I ever spent. It's so nice, to have effortlessly smooth skin (if being hairless is, what you want, obviously). All temporary methods of hair removal suck in some way!
Your channel adds so much value! I just saw an article that said hair dryers that emit "negative ions make hair soft and shiny." Is this true? I don't think it is, but it seems to be a claim made.
She has said that in a healthy individual, the lymphatic system doesn't need help. She's got a full-length video on dry brushing, jade rolling, massage, gua sha, etc.
I tried Nair on my forearms and tops of my hands once… followed directions to a T. Left it on for maximum amount, washed it off with lukewarm warm water. Still got a pretty nasty rash. NEVER. AGAIN. Not for me. No thank you ☺️
You know doctor I am binging on these shorts! I want to stop watching, but heck you're so funny here!!! Your a serious doctor on the long form YT vids & here a standup comic!!! You GO GIRL 😅😂😅
Lmaoooo I do use my dry brush sometimes sorry 😂 but it’s a VERY soft one, and I guess I should actually call it a wet brush since I like to use it after a shower so that it’s even less abrasive.
She's got videos hair removal, 7 ways to remove unwanted hair, nair and bleaching creams, how to prevent hair waxing fails, shaving tips to prevent ingrown hairs, etc.
I used to dry brush long ago when I first started on my health journey and when my old skin suit didn’t sag as much. 😏. Us Grandmas really don’t need to use Nair anymore, ‘cept maybe on our faces, alas…lmao, 👵🏻
I think “gua sha” is a better way to improve circulation and detox the body. On the other hand, dry brushing seems too harsh on the skin. Don’t understand how anyone can tolerate that.
Nair itself is so harsh on the skin. I’ve given it a try years ago (back when it was THE thing) and my skin immediately flared up, it started stinging and by the next 30 mins, I had a horrible eczema attack.
I hate nair so much it always burns me and it has the most god awful smell , I did use to dry brush and had no issue except it just took forever and it wasn’t like a full game changer for me.
i don't know why anyone would do that to their skin (dry brushing), why are you brushing your body like that? are you a double coated dog? i don't care what anyone says, it looks and sounds like torture to your skin.
I don’t even know what Nair is, so I guess dry brushing is safe for me. I’d say it depends on your skin and the kind of brush you use. It gives your blood flow a boost for sure. Do it outside or in front of an open window in winter, that’s the Euroean way, yeah!
What is dry brushing.brushing your naked body that sounds like some kind of painful thing to do ouch. People who buy Gwyneth Paltrow one of the Kardashian sisters stuff they’re crazy. Women live longer than men. that’s why women should marry younger men well that’s beside the point🤣 anyhow if you have that kind of money to waste put for your retirement. so you don’t eat cat food when you’re 80.
Yeah, throw out the dry brushing but not the chemical ridden Nair... baaad brush!😵💫 Should we stop brushing our scalps too whilst brushing our hair? 🤔
Who is their right mind would use Nair? As a dermatologist you should be more concerned about the toxic chemicals in Nair vs natural dry brushing. That tells me a lot about you as a Dr.
The heirloom dry brush comment was out of pocket 💀😭
“The heirloom dry brush was passed down from Grandma”
Oh Dr.Dray, you crack me up by saying the darnest things 😂😂😂
Hahahahahahahaha
That was pretty funny. I wanted to comment but just saw someone beat me to it. Great minds think alike, eh? :) ;)
She is on a roll lol😂😂
I watched this over and over again just for that 😂😂
😂😂😂
THANKS GWYNETH 🤣
LOL!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Came to dr dray for the skincare, stayed for the sass 😂
I love that 🤣♥️
🤌🏽✨
My mom dry brushed her legs and had the nicest cellulite-free legs for a 68 yr old...legs of a youth.

@@librarymom3034 Thanks for your answer! I've heard about the CeraVe (I think?) Urea too! I want to try that asap
Dry brushing is also really helpful for my KP. It really reduces ingrown hairs
Lol the heirloom dry brush🤣🤣I’m dead😂then passed down from Grandma😭🤣🤣I’m a damn fossil🤣😂🔥
“Thanks, Gwyneth.” 😂 Dr. Dray, I love you so much!
Buffin’ and a scrubbin’ lol .. love ett!
Dr Dray, your face is soo lustrous + flawless. Beautiful 🌷🌷
Thanks Gwyneth❗️😂
Omg, you are so funny! The heirloom dry brush 😂😂
Tx Dr.. I always wonder how people do that, since looking at it itself make my skin feel irritated.. That looks so harsh..
You are SO RIGHT about Nair!!!!!! Had a real bad reaction from leaving it on too long, and then scrubbing! Thank you for clarifying!
I love your sarcasm, Dr. Dray! 😊
Lol. I love it that people tell a dermatologist how it be.
I am obsessed with Dr Dray she's so sweet and smart 🤗

Is dry brushing not helpful for stimulating lymph movement?
Could be, but so is simple massage.
She has said that in a healthy individual, the lymphatic system doesn't need help. She's got a full-length video on dry brushing, jade rolling, massage, gua sha, etc.
Yes it’s very effective for that
Than you dr dray you saved my skin ❤️
I love this woman
The sass of it all 😂
I tried Nair on my forearms and tops of my hands once… followed directions to a T. Left it on for maximum amount, washed it off with lukewarm warm water. Still got a pretty nasty rash. NEVER. AGAIN. Not for me. No thank you ☺️
I love that smile at the end ❤
I absolutely LOVE your candor😂

*Fan Of Dr Dray Tips AbOut Skincare...*
Omg you're the best 😘💕
good tip thanks doc :D
Please do a video about using hair removal products like Veet and waxing. Which one is the best way to remove body hair?
She's got videos hair removal, 7 ways to remove unwanted hair, nair and bleaching creams, how to prevent hair waxing fails, shaving tips to prevent ingrown hairs, etc.
Yeah, I would never do that to my body!! I love you doc😂
O m g Nair never! I bought a Keys dry brush and love it! I have that dry skin and I use it gently. Ah it helps! Better than scratching with my nails!
Dr Dray. Is it a good thing to dry brush our bodies before bathing? Dot
Dr Dray is the best. 5 🌟 🤩 dr. Could not stop laughing 😆 🤣 😂. Thank you Dr.
Brushing for less edema or to reduce sensitivity?
I used to dry brush long ago when I first started on my health journey and when my old skin suit didn’t sag as much. 😏. Us Grandmas really don’t need to use Nair anymore, ‘cept maybe on our faces, alas…lmao, 👵🏻
Gwyneth: 🗿
😂 love you
Doctor what do you think of Nair? Is it hazardous?
I think “gua sha” is a better way to improve circulation and detox the body. On the other hand, dry brushing seems too harsh on the skin. Don’t understand how anyone can tolerate that.
Can you still exfoliate with acids when using nair?
Dry brushing was recommended to me from a massage therapist. I immediately knew I wasn’t gonna do it cause of skin irritation. I have KP.
I have KP and dry brushing is the only thing that helps. No irritation whatsoever as well
ThAnKs GwYnEtH 😂😂😂
What do you recommend for dry hands and skin around nails
See her hand/nail videos. You can do a search, dr dray hands or dr dray nails.
i really only like it on the really dry parts of my body. elbows knees feet back of legs (ingrown hair central) other wise it just takes too much time
People who have lipedema NEED to dry brush to help our lymphatic system.
You can tell she’s sick of anecdotal evidence and dumb questions 😂
Why listen to gwenie when you have DR DRAY 🥰♥️♥️
I just hope the dry brush set are cleaning all the funk off it
I heard “dry brush your hair with nair” as in “let’s get bald noggins!”😅
Nair itself is so harsh on the skin. I’ve given it a try years ago (back when it was THE thing) and my skin immediately flared up, it started stinging and by the next 30 mins, I had a horrible eczema attack.
I hate nair so much it always burns me and it has the most god awful smell , I did use to dry brush and had no issue except it just took forever and it wasn’t like a full game changer for me.
I got the burn even without brushing. Horrific stuff that I think I must have been allergic or really intolerant too.
Hahaha don’t look at me❤
Nair does the job for me but it leaves me breakouts almost everytime.
But i dont know any other good technique for hair removal :/
Sugar wax?
The sass.
What is Nair
Use a clean washcloth. Memba those?
And they are washable between uses..😆
I laughed out loud. Love these videos!
Nair burns me lol
Seriously, it looks SO harsh and uncomfortable. Even just the phrase “dry brushing” makes my skin crawl!
“ I’m not talking to you“ 😂😂😂😂 Dr. Dray is my favorite!!
so this is about dry brushing AFTER using nair and not dry brushing alone...
But who is Gwenyth?
i don't know why anyone would do that to their skin (dry brushing), why are you brushing your body like that? are you a double coated dog? i don't care what anyone says, it looks and sounds like torture to your skin.
Clearly you aren't smart enough to understand lymphatic massage
Don't use Nair on your "bikini" area 3 weeks after giving birth and having an episiotomy either. You're welcome. 😬😅
I don’t even know what Nair is, so I guess dry brushing is safe for me. I’d say it depends on your skin and the kind of brush you use. It gives your blood flow a boost for sure. Do it outside or in front of an open window in winter, that’s the Euroean way, yeah!
Fine...im not talking to you...HA!
Dry brush passed down from grandma 🤢. Ummmm no thanks… 🙈
i used nair on my bikini area once and my privates got a severe chemical burn.
Um who uses Nair??? I wouldn't think that anyone using that chemical mess would be interested in the benefit of dry brushing😆
What on earth is "dry brushing"? Is this some new, strange TikTok trend? The internet is pure evil.
Me gustas tu
Tell ‘em Dr Dray
Who is still using Nair????
How about you don’t use Nair… That’s a lot more harmful on your body than dry brushing.
Why her eyebrows look crooked? Likes steep falloff
Who uses nair lol wierd that a dermatologist would be normalising the use of nair but problematising dry brushing 😂 hell na 😂
She gathered 💅
😂😂😂

Lol...I agree .I'm 72 and my husband is....well younger 😆♥️
There' s nothing in this world for wich the KKKKK' s and Thanksgwyneth are not to blame 😅. #grandmasheirloom
I’ve never heard of dry brushing after NAIR.. how did you combine those things in your presentation ? And what prompted you to do so?
Probably something on tiktok.
Yeah, throw out the dry brushing but not the chemical ridden Nair... baaad brush!😵💫 Should we stop brushing our scalps too whilst brushing our hair? 🤔
If Dr. Dray is not a fan of something, most likely me neither.
Nair is so horrible for your skin.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Who is their right mind would use Nair? As a dermatologist you should be more concerned about the toxic chemicals in Nair vs natural dry brushing. That tells me a lot about you as a Dr.
😂
Looks and sounds like you had one or two many glasses of Boone's Farm or Barefoot.
A dry brush from Granny? Yuck. I’ve tried it, but I’m not a fan. Ouch…
Never found a dry brush that didn't hurt my skin ..not a fan.😒😒
I’ve considered dry brushing, did proper research, no conclusive evidence it helps, then to me its a waste of time.
Id be really interested in your opinions on collagen supplements. I know that topically they’re a load of nonsense but should I be taking supplements?
She has a video on it
She's got several videos on collagen in addition to the one on supplements. The Budget Dermatologist has some recent videos on them as well.
🤣🤣🤣
