I used Retin-A for about two years for acne and sun damage around the eyes. It helped with both and my skin became flawless. I had to stop using the Retin-A because I became allergic to something that was in it so I switched to neutrogena pore minimizer (Salicylic acid). My skin remained flawless and the wrinkles never came back. I don't use either of these products now because I no longer have acne. It's been over 30 years since I used Retin-A and over 20 since I used salicylic acid and I have hardly aged. My skin became so clear and even toned that I stopped wearing foundation over 30 years ago.

I myself is a physician, and I absolutely love Dr. Dray's channel. I tend to use luxury products because they are expensive which make me feel being well treated. Dr. Dray pulled me down to the ground and reminded me about what I have been trained for years: look at the clinical evidence!
I also agree that skincare industry is a very special field, where placebo effect cannot be ignored. Luxury products build up an image like it is innovative, it is rare, all celebrities love me...and I do enjoy using them (o.k. I am not a strong person). Therefore I kept reviewing Dr. Dray's videos, which keep me calm...

I’m over 50 and can’t live without my RetinA. I’m guessing if you’re not at the age where aging is so visible, it’s not a priority.
Used nightly, after 2-4 weeks fine lines diminish, my skin looks incredibly smooth, more firm, and the tone is more even. I can tell it is making a difference because of the compliments. Definitely top 5 for me.

I am 51 and most people think I am late thirties. I even date some late twenty somethings! 😅 Retinals and Tretenoin, as well as hyper moisturizing is a holy grail. I also think my severe acne when I was younger probably now allows the oils I need to not age me. My skin looks much better now than in my twenties. Not sure what will happen when I hit menopause, but trying to get ahead of it now.

Thank you for mentioning that nasal trickle. I felt like I was a particularly gross human with this issue!
I live in some of the coldest regions of the continental US, and there’s currently a 3 ft blanket of snow outside (snow banks as tall as an adult woman) and when the temps are below 20 degrees, my nose just leaks...and probably freezes when outside. Even just 15-20 mins outside walking my dog just perpetuates the skin irritation. Then, the heat inside further dries the air.
All the deep-freeze cold and dry air causes my nose to leak slightly, and I get a tiny bit of irritation on the skin btwn my nostrils. It’s gross, it hurts, and it doesn’t heal until the the weather warms up.
I just feel validated. Thank you.

Basically, wash my face and body, sleep, wake up wash my face again, put something on my face that will protect my skin for the day, return from work, wash my body and face and then sleep.
Which products will fit perfectly in this routine for a man. Isn't skin of a male or female the same? Any how Mahalo's Plenty and Blessings for your encouragement.

So, my real life "deserted island" happened when I hiked the Pacific Crest Trail for 6 months in 2019! I was pretty filthy most of the time on trail, but every night I would use face wipes (since unfortunately soap/cleanser is no bueno when it comes to Leave No Trace - even biodegradable soap). Then I'd follow up with moisturizer. Every day I'd apply and reapply sunscreen, especially at high elevation. I was usually at the mercy of whatever I could buy in towns or outposts along the trail, unless I got a box in the mail with stuff. But I pretty much only felt truly clean when I got to shower in towns every 4-10 days 😂 Definitely got a few extra sun wrinkles from the exposure, but I made a lifetime's worth of amazing memories and I'm back on the skincare train now, hahaha.

I generally like this content but I was quite surprised by this list! I have an esthetics degree and know skincare. 1. I don't believe in sunscreen except in severe situations because it is had strong chemical components that may react negatively over time on the face. A big hat, sunglasses and clothing cover up works. 2. A cleanser as a top 5 product ? Most cleansers work well because they are removing from the skin not adding to it. 3. A lip smoother does not seem it should be on a top skincare list but on a lipcare list.. 4. Callous creme the same although it's an interesting recommendation.5. She recommended a creme with a pump dispenser. It's the only one I might agree with it.
